Here's the sequel to TJ: Better off alone
"Hi TJ." I heard you say.
"Hi…" I replied shyly.
"Why aren't you sitting with everyone else?" You asked. We were in the cafeteria eating lunch. Well, everyone else was. I hate eating around people.
"Because I hate them and I hate being around them." I thought.
"I just like to be by myself" I said.
"Ok." I sighed and watched you leave.
The next day, Jake and the rest of the group were walking home from school.
"I'm glad school's almost over." Jake said.
"Me too." Jasmine replied.
"I'm gonna throw a party this weekend. Do you guys wanna come?" You asked.
"Yes!" Jasmine and Jake cheered.
"What about you TJ?" You asked.
"No" I thought.
"I dunno.." I said.
"You'll have fun!" You said.
"Yeah. And there'll be boys there." Jasmine said, whispering the last part.
"Guys don't wanna look at me. They hate me." I thought .
I sat in my room, looking out of my window. I told everyone that I was sick and couldn't go to school for the rest of the week or the party. I was sick yesterday. But today and a few days ago I pretended to be sick so that I wouldn't be around people. I stared out of the window again to see someone walking up to my house. I looked closer and noticed who it was.
"Great. What do they want?" I sighed. A few minutes later, I heard someone walking up the stairs. I thought it was my sister, until I heard their voice.
"TJ? Can I come in?" I heard you say. I sighed and opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I wanted to make sure you're alright. Are you still sick?" You asked.
"Yes." I lied.
"But you don't look sick." You replied.
"… Fine. I've been lying this whole time except yesterday." I said.
"Why?" You asked. I sighed.
"I don't wanna be around people." I said.
"Why not?" You asked.
"I have Social Anxiety Disorder. I hate being around people and I hate talking to people." I replied.
"Oh." You said.
"That's why I don't like having friends sometimes and why I don't want a boyfriend. I'm better off alone." I said. You were silent.
"You're not better off alone." You said.
"Yes I am."
"But you have nice friends." You said.
"And? They don't understand my problem." I said.
"Maybe we would if you try to explain it to us." You said.
"Even if I did, you still wouldn't understand. You guys didn't know what to say or do when I had a panic attack. The stuff you said didn't help me." I said.
"But-"
"Please leave. I just wanna be alone… for the rest of my life." I watched as you sighed and left.
I hope this was ok
