The Second First Date

Hi everyone! I'm back with a new story! This one is set right after "Broken Pieces, Mended Hearts". So if you haven't read that story, read it before this one! Well, I hope you all enjoy this!

Iggy and Tiana blushed as they walked hand in hand to Bowser's castle. Months ago, Iggy and Tiana left their new partners after getting hurt. Iggy's ex girlfriend, Ginger Koopers, cheated on him and he broke up with her. Tiana's ex boyfriend, Drake Koopa, was abusive to her. Fortunately, the Koopalings came just in time and Tiana never took him back.

Pretty soon, the two arrived at the castle and walked inside. They walked through the halls until they reached the game room, where the rest of Iggy's siblings were at. Larry, Morton, Roy, and Bowser Jr. were playing Mario Kart World. Wendy was putting away her new pink nail polish. And Lemmy was watching a video on his phone while Ludwig was working on a new song.

"Hey guys!" Iggy greeted them.

Lemmy was the first to look up. He glanced at his younger brother and friend. Then, he gasped when he saw the two holding hands. His gasp caught Ludwig's attention. Ludwig looked up from his sheet music and over at the two.

Ludwig placed his sheet music on the table in front of him and Lemmy. "Iggy?" Ludwig slowly smiled. "Are… are you two…?"

Tiana giggled and hugged Iggy. "We're back together!"

Larry paused the game and the others looked at them.

"Are you serious?" Lemmy asked. When Iggy nodded, Lemmy beamed. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This is so great!"

Lemmy jumped off of the couch and ran over to them. Lemmy pulled them both into a tight hug. Iggy and Tiana smiled and hugged him back.

"I'm so happy for you guys!" Wendy remarked as she approached them. "You two deserve to be in a loving relationship!"

"Thanks, Wendy." Tiana said as she and Iggy let Lemmy go.

Wendy let out a happy squeal, making Iggy wince. "Oh, this is so great! You two should definitely go on a second first date!"

Iggy blinked. "A second first date?"

"Of course!" Wendy exclaimed. "You guys are dating again, so you should have a special second first date!"

"Huh. That does sound fun." Tiana looked up at Iggy. "Where would you want to go, Iggy."

Iggy chuckled. "Wherever you wanna go, Tia. I don't mind."

Tiana stood there and thought about it. On their first date, Bowser and Clawdia took them to Serene Isles. Should they go back there? Nah. As fun as it was, Tiana wanted to do something different. Maybe they could go somewhere in Neo Bowser City or somewhere else in the Kingdom. Hm… no. Somewhere different.

They could go to another kingdom, but what if the citizens freak out like in Serene Isles? Maybe, but… no. They should do it. They should go to another kingdom. But which one? Tiana thought about the many kingdoms that she's heard of and read about.

Finally, one kingdom came to her mind.

"Oh! What about the Solaria Kingdom?" She suggested.

"The Solaria Kingdom…" Iggy repeated.

"Isn't that an hour away from Jewelry Land?" Larry asked.

"I believe so." Iggy answered. He looked at Tiana. "So, is that where we'll go?"

Tiana smiled brightly. "Mhm! I think it'd be a great place to go for our date!" Tiana then though of something. "Eh, hopefully no one freaks out when they see us."

Iggy laughed. "Yeah! We don't need to get captured or anything!"

Wendy smiled as she looked at her brother and friend. They looked so much happier now than when they were in their last relationships. If only they hadn't broken up two years ago. Neither one of them would've gotten hurt. Just then, Wendy's smile vanished.

"Oh no."

Iggy turned to face his sister. "What's wrong, Wendy?"

"Daddy's gonna be busy this weekend planning his next invasion. I think Mom was going to help him out too." Wendy said. "They took you guys on your date the last time, but they won't be able to this time."

Tiana frowned. "Oh yeah. And my parents are gonna be really busy this weekend. Should we do something in the kingdom and go to the Solaria Kingdom another time?"

Iggy's smile faltered. What could they do? Tiana really seemed to wanna go to the Solaria Kingdom. He's seen photos of it and it looked like a beautiful desert and oasis land. Should they wait though? Should he just take her to a place in Koopa Town since their parents will be busy?

"Hey."

Tiana and Iggy looked over at Ludwig.

"You two really wanna go there? Then Jasmine and I will take you."

Tiana gasped softly. "Really? You'd do that, Ludwig?"

"Of course!" Ludwig smiled at her. "Jasmine and I were thinking about going on a date somewhere, so she and I can go to one town in the Solaria Kingdom while you two go to another." He chuckled. "Plus, maybe no one will mess with us if Jasmine comes along."

"Yeah! That could work!" Iggy exclaimed.

Tiana grinned. "Thank you, Ludwig! I can't wait!"

Iggy giggled. "Well, now that we got that figured out, why don't we watch some anime in my room?"

Tiana nodded. "Sure!"

Tiana smiled to herself as she left her house. Today was the day. Today, she and Iggy, along with Ludwig and Jasmine, were going to the Solaria Kingdom. This was going to be so much fun! She and Iggy were going to have a great time!

A few days ago, she and Iggy talked about what they would do there. Iggy suggested that they hang out in Brightbloom Oasis. Tiana beamed and agreed to it. She just knew that the flowers and plants there would look beautiful and the water would feel so nice and refreshing.

Eventually, she made it out of Koopa Valley, the town that she lived in, and arrived at the castle. Ludwig and Iggy were already outside of the castle, standing near their Koopa Clown Cars. Her smile widened when she made it over to them.

"Hey guys!" Tiana greeted them.

Iggy smiled and hugged Tiana. Once they let go, Tiana looked at Ludwig.

"Where's Jasmine?"

Ludwig replied, "She should be here soon."

A minute later, they heard a familiar voice say, "I'm here!"

The three Koopas turned around to see Ludwig's human girlfriend running over to them. Instead of her blue shirt and overalls, Jasmine was wearing a blue dress and black shoes. She caught her breath when she stopped in front of Ludwig.

Jasmine smiled at them. "Hey! So, are you guys ready?"

Tiana grinned. "Yep!"

Ludwig helped Jasmine inside of his Clown Car while Iggy helped Tiana into his own. Once they were ready, the four flew away from the castle.

Tiana smiled as they flew past numerous different kingdoms. Being high up in the air was a little terrifying, but it was also exciting. She took a quick glance at Iggy before looking away, her cheeks turning pink. She looked down and saw that they were flying over Princess Peach's castle. A few Toads were out today. Hopefully they won't notice them.

Thankfully, Tiana and the others didn't hear any screams or saw anyone running. They quickly made their way out of the Mushroom Kingdom and flew past Acorn Plains. Tiana closed her eyes and smiled as she felt the cool breeze. When she opened her eyes, they were flying away from it. Eventually, they flew through Grass Land and eventually arrived in Jewelry Land.

"Jewelry Land is so pretty!" remarked Jasmine. "I'd love to meet King Fret and Prince Pine one day."

"It does look nice." Ludwig then chuckled. "I don't think my family and I would be allowed back there though."

Jasmine laughed. "That's true."

After that, the group flew in silence. Iggy and Tiana stole glances at each other a few times. Iggy's heart pounded as he thought about their date. He and Tiana were going to have a great time! Maybe it'll be even better than their time in Serene Isles.

The heat met them as they got closer to the kingdom. Jasmine wiped some sweat off of her forehead. After another minute of flying, the four finally made it. They were now in the Solaria Kingdom, a large desert/oasis land. Even though it was extremely hot, the kingdom looked amazing! The homes and shops looked very colorful and welcoming.

"Wow!" Tiana exclaimed. "It's more amazing in person than in the photos I've seen!"

Once they landed their Clown Cars, Ludwig and Iggy helped Jasmine and Tiana out. Everyone looked around the town that they were in. The sign to the left read "Glimmer Gulch". A few Toads and humans were out and about. A little Toad boy giggled as he kicked his blue ball. He giggled some more as it rolled away.

The ball stopped right in front of them. This made Iggy sweat a little. Oh, please just grab the ball and ignore them. The boy happily ran over to the ball and picked it up. He then noticed the group standing in front of him. When he looked up, his eyes grew wide when he saw Ludwig, Iggy, and Tiana.

Iggy held his breath. "Don't scream. Don't scream! DON'T SCREAM!"

Sadly, Iggy's hopes were crushed.

"K-Koopas!" The Toad boy ran away.

Tiana sighed. "Great…"

More Toads and humans nearby heard the child and gasped when they saw them. They then began to scream and run away.

"They're going to kill us!" A man yelled.

"They'll take over the kingdom!" A Toad screamed.

"No! They're not!" Jasmine exclaimed. Jasmine stepped forward. "Please, listen to me!"

A woman stopped in front of Jasmine. "What? That can't be true!"

"It is!" Jasmine replied. "I swear!"

"What's going on here?" They heard an unfamiliar female voice say.

The citizens moved out of the way to let two people walk by. The man had a slight tan, but the woman's tan was deeper than his. The woman had long brown hair and wore a copper brown crown with red and orange jewels, copper brown earrings with red jewels, honey brown eyeliner, red lipstick, and wore a red and orange dress with white frills and white gloves.

The man wore a green alpine hat with a white and orange feather, curly brown hair, brown shoes, and a blue, red, and yellow outfit with a green cape. Ludwig and Iggy gasped, recognizing the man.

"Prince Pine?!" The brothers said in unison.

The Prince of Jewelry Land gasped as he looked at them.

"You!" He took a step closer. "You're the ones who invaded my kingdom before!" He looked at Iggy. "Huh. You're much… taller than I remember. And you have a new hairstyle. No more colorful hair."

"Hehe. Yeah. An experiment went wrong and changed my hair. It's a long story." Iggy replied as he ran his fingers through his green, plant-like hair.

The woman stepped forward and smiled at Jasmine. "Hello. I am Seraphina, Princess of the Solaria Kingdom. What brings you and these Koopas to my home?"

Jasmine returned her smile. "My name is Jasmine, Your Highness." She gestured toward Iggy and Tiana. "We're here because Iggy and his girlfriend Tiana wanted to come here on a date."

"Date?" Seraphina giggled. "That's so cute!"

Pine narrowed his eyes at Iggy. "You guys won't try to take over the Princess's kingdom, will you?"

"We promise we're not here to cause trouble." Ludwig said. "Iggy and Tiana will be in Brightbloom Oasis while Jasmine and I will be in Luminara Springs."

Seraphina looked at the four of them. After a moment, she nodded.

"Alright. I believe you. But my guards will keep an eye on these Koopas."

Iggy let out a sigh. "Thank you, Princess."

Iggy took Tiana's hand and the two walked away. Jasmine then walked closer to the prince and princess.

"Um, Your Majesties. You're friends with Princess Peach, right?"

"Yes, I am." Pine smiled.

Seraphina nodded. "Yep! And Princess Daisy!"

Jasmine chuckled. "Well, if you two ever see them some time, can you not tell them about Ludwig and I? They don't know about us yet and I'm not ready for them to know."

"Oh, I see." Seraphina remarked. "Your secret's safe with us."

Jasmine sighed and smiled. "Thank you so much." She looked at Ludwig. "C'mon, Luddy! Let's head to Luminara Springs!"

"Alright." Ludwig held Jasmine's hand and the two walked away.

Prince Pine chuckled and turned to look at Seraphina. "Well, I had fun hanging out here today. But I should be head back home." He took Seraphina's hand and kissed it. "It was nice seeing you again, Seraphina."

Seraphina's cheeks grew warm. "Y-You too, Pine."

After saying goodbye, the prince and princess went their separate ways.

Iggy and Tiana gasped when they arrived in Brightbloom Oasis. It was much cooler here than in Glimmer Gulch. The water looked so crystal clear and beautiful. And the plants and flowers? Gorgeous! Tiana didn't know the names of the plants and flowers around them, but she knew they looked amazing.

"This is incredible!" Tiana exclaimed as they looked around the town.

"It is!" Iggy smiled. "Y'know, being around these plants reminds me of a dream I had before."

"Oh?" Tiana looked at him. "What was your dream about?"

Iggy's cheeks turned pink. "We went on a date to a botanical garden. I had this dream while my family and I were in the Crystal Kingdom." Iggy giggled. "You laughed at a plant 'cause it looked like my hair."

Tiana laughed at that. "Oh wow! I probably would do that." Tiana calmed down and smiled at him. "And that's an interesting dream. Maybe we can go to a botanical garden one day."

The two sat on the ground near the water. Iggy placed his fingers in the water, smiling at how cool it felt. Tiana looked to her right. Along with a tall tree, she saw two Toad guards peering at them. The female guard glared at her, making Tiana quickly turn away.

"They really don't trust us." Tiana whispered to Iggy.

Iggy looked over at the guards and sighed. "Yeah. It kinda sucks. Not every Koopa wants to invade kingdoms." Iggy smiled at her. "You're really sweet and kind. You'd never do anything like that."

"Iggy…" Tiana blushed. "You're so sweet."

Iggy giggled. "You're sweet, kind, beautiful…" Iggy playfully smirked. "and short."

Tiana pouted. "Iggy!"

"What?" Iggy laughed. "You and Lemmy are really short. It makes you even cuter!" He laughed even harder. "Whenever we'd have a dumb argument, you'd stand on a stool or something to be at eye level with me. It's too cute!"

Tiana playfully smacked him. "Shut up!"

The two laughed together for another minute. Once they calmed down, Tiana sighed and stared at the water in front of them.

"I still can't believe Ginger did that to you." Tiana whispered.

"Ginger?" Iggy said. "What Drake did to you was way worse than what she did!"

"Heh. Yeah." Tiana then sighed.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, staring at the water. Finally, Iggy spoke up.

"Why did we even break up back then?"

Tiana looked at him. "Well, Lord Bowser planned so many different invasions back then. You were so busy, we didn't have time to go on dates or even hang out."

"Oh." Iggy frowned. "That's right. I'm really sorry about that."

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Iggy." Tiana smiled at him. "You were just following your father's orders."

"Yeah, but then we grew apart and broke up!" Iggy looked at her. "And then we ended up in new relationships that weren't good for us."

Tiana sat closer to Iggy. Then, she wrapped him in a hug.

"It's in the past now, Iggy. Ginger and Drake can't hurt us. And if we see them, we can just ignore them." Tiana snorted. "Even if Ginger says things to me that makes me wanna fight her and rip her hair out."

Iggy laughed and returned the hug. "You're right, Tia."

Tiana sighed. "…I don't want us to break up again."

"We won't." Iggy whispered. "I promise we won't."

The two pulled away a moment later. Then, Iggy leaned in and kissed Tiana. Tiana kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. They stayed like that for two minutes. Then, they pulled away, their faces now red.

Iggy grabbed a desert lily and placed in Tiana's hair, smiling softly at her. "I love you, Tiana."

Tiana giggled and kissed his cheek. "I love you too, Iggy."

Later on, Iggy and Tiana met up with Ludwig and Jasmine in Sunspire Plaza. The four of them went to a cafe in the plaza to eat sandwiches. A few people glared at the Koopas, but no one bothered them and they had a good time.

"Luminara Springs is so amazing!" Jasmine said after swallowing a bite of her sandwich. "If it wasn't extremely hot, I'd move here in a heartbeat!"

Ludwig chuckled. "The beach was great." He took a sip of his tea. "I got a few weird looks from the Toads, but other than that, I had a great time!"

"We did too!" Tiana said. "The plants and flowers were so beautiful."

"And the water felt great!" Iggy replied.

A few minutes later, they finished their lunch and left the cafe. After walking back to Glimmer Gulch, the group hopped back inside the Clown Cars. Once they were seated, Ludwig and Iggy lifted off and flew away from the Solaria Kingdom. Tiana looked over at Ludwig and Jasmine with a smile.

"Thanks again for doing this, you guys!"

Ludwig chuckled. "It's no problem, Tia!"

"Yeah. Ludwig and I would definitely do it again!" Jasmine remarked.

Tiana smiled as she looked down at the different towns. "Maybe for our next date, we should go to Stardust Land!" She giggled. "It looks so pretty in the photos I've seen online!"

Iggy chuckled and said, "Prince Sterling's guards will probably try to attack us since we invaded Princess Krystal's kingdom two years ago."

"Yeah. Stardust Land is right next door to the Crystal Kingdom." Ludwig laughed.

Tiana giggled. "Well, wherever we go, I know we'll have fun!"

The four then made their way to the Mushroom Kingdom to drop Jasmine off. Once they arrived, they hid behind a tall tree. Jasmine climbed out of Ludwig's Clown Car, said goodbye, and walked into Toad Town. After that, the Koopas flew away and headed back to the Koopa Kingdom.

And that's it! I feel like there could've been more, especially with Iggy and Tiana, but I couldn't think of much ^^; still, I hope you liked reading this! I'll try to post something new on my birthday if I'm able to!
