First off, hi! Hope you all had a great day today!
So, my plan was to wait on posting this story since I'm working on "Jasmine meets the Marios", especially since I'm still outlining this and I wanted to drop hints of the plot for this story in my next two stories, but I'm very impatient lol. Now, if you wanna learn more about some fan characters that'll make appearances in this story, for now you can read my old fics "I Meet The Koopas Remake", "Loving Someone New", "Loving Someone New 2 Redux", "Serene Isles", "The Frosty Kingdom", and "A New Family Remake". But just know that most of those stories will be rewritten soon. And I'm sorry if you read that trash LOL
I've been planning this story since July, and I'll explain more in future chapters. Now, let's get on with this first chapter!
Bowser Koopa, the king of the Koopa Kingdom, slowly opened his eyes as he woke up. He grinned to himself as he turned to face the window. Instead of looking dark, gray, and smoky, the sky was bright blue and the sun shined. It must be a sign. A sign that everything would go great today.
Today, the Koopa Kingdom would change history. It was honestly something that Bowser wanted ever since he was a kid. He didn't want to reach out himself, knowing the history. How would they react? Would they be angry? Would they be terrified?
Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about that. When he received the letter a month ago, his excitement grew. He couldn't wait to visit and meet them! Oh man! He knew that everything was gonna go smoothly.
Bowser turned to his right as he heard a yawn. His wife, Clawdia, was beginning to wake up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her husband with a tiny grin.
"Good morning, dear." She said after yawning again.
"It's a great morning!" Bowser replied.
Clawdia chuckled. "That's right. Today's the day." She stretched and slowly got out of bed. "I guess we should get ready then."
Bowser watched as Clawdia made her way to the bathroom. He then got out of bed and made his way out of the room. He knocked on each door of their seven children, waking them up.
"Get up, kids!" Bowser shouted. "We've got a big day today!"
Bowser and Clawdia's young seven children, the Koopalings, groaned as they left the dining hall. During breakfast, their parents told them that they would be leaving the kingdom for a few hours. How come they had to go? What was so important? It was probably going to be boring anyways.
"Daddy!" Wendy, their only daughter, whined. "Why do we have to go with you guys? I wanna stay in the castle and play!"
Bowser chuckled and gave his little princess a smile. "We're going somewhere exciting today! You can play there!"
"Where are we going?" Iggy, the middle child, asked.
"Scalebay!" Bowser answered.
The Koopalings blinked. "Scalebay?" Roy repeated. "What's that?"
"It's a kingdom that's nearby Koopa Cape." Clawdia replied. "It's where the Sea Koopas live!"
Wendy's eyes sparkled. "Sea Koopas? Oh my gosh!"
Bowser chuckled again and remarked, "The Sea Koopas reached out to me and the Para Koopas last month, wanting to bring peace."
Ludwig gasped. "Para Koopas? Are they like the Koopa Paratroopas?"
"The Para Koopas have wings like the Paratroopas, but they look like us Dragon Koopas." Bowser clarified.
The Koopalings all looked excited now, and their enthusiasm grew when Clawdia said, "You know, the rulers of the Sea Koopas and the Para Koopas also have kids around your age."
"What the heck are we waitng for then? Let's go!" Roy said as he dashed down the hall.
Clawdia giggled as she and Bowser watched the rest of the kids run behind Roy.
"Hey, slow down!" Bowser called out to them. "Scalebay isn't going anywhere!"
"I can't believe we're actually going to meet the other Koopa races after so long!" Iggy said as they made their way outside. He adjusted his glasses. "I heard a few Dragon Koopas and Koopa Troopas have come across a few Sea Koopas and Para Koopas."
Bowser grinned. "You better believe it!"
Once everyone boarded the airship, the Koopa family flew away from the Koopa Kingdom. Wendy grinned as she gazed out of the window.
"This is so exciting! I can't wait to get there!"
Roy snorted. "I thought you wanted to stay home."
Wendy rolled her eyes. "Well, that was before I knew where we were going and who we were meeting!"
"I wonder what Scalebay looks like." Ludwig said.
Lemmy giggled. "Since it's near Koopa Cape, it's gotta be a huge island!" Larry nodded in agreement.
"And beautiful!" Wendy added. "I love islands and beaches so much!"
Lemmy looked at Bowser and Clawdia. "How long until we get there?"
Clawdia smiled. "We'll be there soon."
After flying for a few minutes, Wendy gasped. Down below was a massive, stunning island. The sand caught the beautiful sunlight. The ocean was so blue and gorgeous. She smiled as she looked out the window.
"Guys…?" Wendy spoke up. "Are we here? Is this Scalebay?"
Bowser peered out of the window and grinned. "Yep! We're here!"
The children cheered. As they began to land the airship, they all saw a few Sea Koopas out. Some were on the island while others were in the water.
"Wow!" Lemmy exclaimed. "They kinda look like us!"
"But, they have fins on their arms and tail!" Iggy added.
"Yeah!" Wendy squealed. "They look amazing!"
Everyone walked out of the airship and the kids looked around Scalebay.
Wendy giggled. "It's so beautiful!"
A few Sea Koopas stared at them in shock and amazement. Before anyone could react, they all looked up at the sky and gasped. Three Para Koopas were flying in the air and landed in front of Bowser and his family. Bowser took a good look at them. It was the king, queen, and prince.
The three had the same golden skin most Koopas had and white wings like the Paratroopas, but larger. The king had blue hair in a mohawk and blue facial hair, a blue shell with white rings surrounding his spikes, and white bands around his wrists. The queen had a white mowhawk, blue eyes, a fang-like tooth in the upper corner of her mouth, a light lavender shell with white rings surrounding her spikes, and light lavender bands on her wrists. Their son had a blue mowhawk, blue eyes, a green shell with orange rings surrounding his spikes, a fang-like tooth in the upper corner of his mouth, a spike on his tail, and white bands around his wrist.
The queen smiled at them. More Sea Koopas stared at the others. Then, a group of Sea Koopas approached the Para Koopas and Dragon Koopas. The man had dark teal skin along with a dark teal fin on his tail, light green locs, blue eyes, a dark emerald-colored shell with dark teal rings surrounding his spikes, two fang-like teeth in the upper corners of his mouth, and medium teal fins on his arms. The woman had gold skin like most Koopas, turqoise eyes, long light blue hair, a blue shell with white rings surrounding her spikes, pink fins on her arms and tail, and wore a silver crown with blue jewels.
The younger girl had a dark teal head, short wavy light green hair, blue eyes, two fang-like teeth in the uppor corners of her mouth, a yellow-green shell with white rings surrounding the spikes, forest teal skin, and light blue fins on her arms and tail. The boy next to her had golden skin, turqoise eyes, short wavy blue hair, a white shell with light blue rings surrounding the spikes, turqoise fins on his arms, and a light blue fin on his tail.
The queen smiled at everyone. "Hello! My name is Queen Cordelia Snapshell. And this is my husband, King Wade Snapshell."
Wade smiled. "And these two are our children, Princess Sierra and Prince Hudson."
The Para Koopas stepped forward. The king spoke up. "It's great to meet you! I'm King Neil Koopahart and this is my wife, Queen Aura Koopahart and our son, Prince Sky."
Bowser cleared his throat. "Hello. I am King Bowser Koopa. This beautiful lady with pink hair is my wife, Clawdia Koopa, and," Bowser chuckled. "These are our seven kids. Ludwig, Lemmy, the twins Roy and Morton, Iggy, Wendy, and Larry."
King Wade chuckled. "It's great to meet you all!" He turned around. "Come with us!"
The Dragon and Para Koopas followed the Sea Koopas through Scalebay. The kids waved to a few Sea Koopas who stared at them. A few whispered, but they didn't mind too much. Eventually, they arrived at a large stone castle. The guards opened the doors and everyone walked inside.
"Thank you all so much for coming." Wade said as they walked down the hall. "It'll be great to have peace between our kingdoms."
"I agree." Neil said.
Bowser nodded. "I'm glad. I've wanted it for the longest time!"
They then arrived at a large door. Wade opened it to reveal a room filled with toys and games.
Cordelia smiled. "You kids can play in here and get to know each other!"
"Ok, Mom." Sierra said. She took Hudson's hand and walked inside.
The other kids hesitated before entering the room.
"Have fun, kids!" Cordelia said to them.
After that, the royal Sea Koopas led the other Koopa leaders to the Great Hall.
The kids sat on the floor in the room and stared at each other. After a minute, Wendy broke the silence and smiled at Sierra.
"I love your bracelets!" She said.
Sierra smiled. "Thanks. I like your bracelets too. And your necklace!"
"Your wings look amazing!" Ludwig said to Sky.
Sky chuckled and flapped his wings. "Thanks!" He looked around at everyone. "You all look so unique!"
Hudson giggled. "We all do!"
Sierra grabbed a board game for them to play. Roy didn't want to play though. Instead, he and Sky chose to arm wrestle. Sadly for Sky, Roy won.
"Whoa!" He chuckled. "You're pretty strong, Roy!"
Roy smirked and flexed his muscles. "Pretty strong? I'm very strong!" He laughed. "One day, I'm gonna be even stronger than my Dad!"
Morton chuckled as he rolled the dice. "I dunno about that. Dad's pretty strong."
Roy glared at his younger twin. "Whatever. I'll prove it one day!"
After playing more board and card games, the kids laughed and joked with each other. They were having so much fun, they didn't want this day to end. Lemmy sighed happily after laughing at his own joke with everyone.
"It's nice that all of the Koopa races are together again."
Sierra giggled. "Not all of them…"
"Huh?" Lemmy said. "Are you talking about the Bombshell Koopas in Sarasaland or the Troopeas in the Beanbean Kingdom?"
Sky shook his head. "No. I believe Sierra's talking about the Crystal Koopas."
The Koopalings blinked. "Who are the Crystal Koopas?" They asked in unison.
Sierra leaned in and whispered to them. "I heard from my great grandmother that along with Dragon Koopas, Sea Koopas, and Para Koopas, there was another Koopa race that lived in the Koopa Kingdom called Crystal Koopas."
Sky nodded. "One of the elderly Koopa Paratroopas that work in my castle told me the same thing." He looked at everyone. "As you all know, all of the Koopa races (with the exception of ones like the Bombshell Koopas, Bombshell Dragon Koopas, and Troopeas) lived together in the Koopa Kingdom." He frowned slightly. "Until one day, when the king who ruled at the time, King Obsidian, decided that only Dragon Koopas should be the only ones to live in the kingdom, believing that Dragon Koopas were "pure", and started the Great Koopa War, also called the Shellsplit."
"All of the Koopa races went their separate ways after the war ended." Ludwig added. He then frowned. "And King Obsidian got what he wanted."
Hudson smiled. "Until today!"
Sierra chuckled. "Yeah! I'm glad that we're all together again!"
"But like you said, not all of us." Iggy said and adjusted his glasses. "Where are the Crystal Koopas?"
"That's the thing. No one really knows." Sky replied.
Sierra added, "Some people think it's just a rumor. Others believe that the Crystal Koopas are still out there somewhere, hiding after the Shellsplit."
"If Sea Koopas and Para Koopas are real, then I believe that Crystal Koopas are real too." Morton replied.
Ludwig smiled. "Maybe one day the Crystal Koopas will reveal themselves."
That's it for now! I'll try to post the next chapter soon :)
Questions
Hi! So, I usually don't write on Sunday's or Monday's, but I felt like writing today and I got some time! Hopefully this chapter is ok!
The kids were having a great time, laughing and joking with each other. They liked hanging out and playing together. All three out of the four original Koopa races from the Koopa Kingdom were all together and getting along. It was great! This was exactly what needed to happen!
An hour had passed and the kids were currently playing a card game. Larry threw down his cards and cheered.
"Alright! I won!" He cheered.
Iggy grumbled and dropped his cards. "He always cheats…"
Larry stuck his tongue out at his older brother, making Iggy roll his eyes. Sierra put those cards away and grabbed another card game. She gave everyone their cards and they started the new game. As they played, they didn't notice the door to the room opening. Their parents were on the other side. They smiled, seeing how much fun their children are having.
Cordelia was the first to speak up. "Kids? It's time for everyone to head home."
"Aww." The kids said in unison.
Seeing how disappointed they were, Clawdia gave them a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. We'll visit again soon!"
Aura nodded. "That's right!"
The kids say goodbye to each other and everyone made their way out of the castle. Once they were outside, everyone walked over to Bowser's airship.
Wade gave everyone a smile and said, "Well, it was great meeting you all!"
"Same here!" Neil replied. "We all should get together again sometime." He chuckled. "Y'know, when it's something fun and nothing serious."
Bowser laughed. "Exactly!"
After saying goodbye one last time, the Sea Koopas watched as the Para Koopas flew away and the Dragon Koopas boarded their airships. Once Bowser and his family took their seats, the airship lifted into the air and began to fly away. Clawdia looked at their children and smiled at them.
"Did you all have fun?" She asked.
Grinning, Lemmy replied, "Yeah! We learned so much about the other Koopa races!"
Bowser smirked and closed his eyes.
"Dad?"
Bowser opened his eyes when he heard Iggy call his name.
"What is it, Iggy?" He asked.
Iggy adjusted his glasses. "Has anyone ever seen a Crystal Koopa before?"
Bowser and Clawdia glanced at each other. Bowser looked back at his son and said, "No one has."
"Why do you want to know, honey? How do you know about them?" Clawdia asked him.
Wendy replied, "Sierra and Sky brought them up."
Iggy nodded. "Shouldn't ALL of the the Koopa races from Darkland be at peace with each other?"
Bowser patted Iggy on his head. "Maybe they will someday."
Later on while back in their castle, the Koopalings were currently playing in the play room. Wendy sighed happily as she looked out of the window.
"I want to visit Scalebay again soon." She said.
"We should visit Paraflare Peaks and hang out with more Para Koopas." Ludwig replied. "Sky said that it's very beautiful."
Iggy sighed. "I wish I could visit wherever the Crystal Koopas are."
"Why are you so obsessed with them?" Roy asked.
Iggy rolled his eyes and replied, "I'm not obsessed! But, I am very curious about them." Iggy frowned. "I wonder why not one single Crystal Koopa made an appearance anywhere."
Lemmy sat next to his little brother and replied, "The Shellsplit sounded like a horrible thing that happened." He placed a hand on Iggy's shoulder and added, "The Crystal Koopas probably aren't ready to meet the other Koopa races yet."
Ludwig arched an eyebrow. "Lemmy's… right."
Lemmy chuckled. "Of course I am! I had a meeting with myself earlier and we agreed!"
A few of the Koopalings laughed.
Iggy chuckled. "That's probably true." He then let out another sigh. "But, I do wonder if the Crystal Koopas are out there somewhere."
I'll post the next chapter soon!
Dream Sightings
Hi! Like I said yesterday, I don't usually write on Sunday's or Monday's, but I had some time to write again!
Years have gone by since the Koopalings met the Para and Sea Koopas. They now have a baby brother named Bower Jr., who looks exactly like Bowser when he was a kid. The Koopalings sometimes felt a little jealous of their new brother getting attention from their dad, but they do love and care about him. Iggy was now thirteen years old and recently made a new friend named Tiana Koopa. They were in a few of the same classes in school, but they didn't actually meet until Ludwig introduced them and their siblings to her one day.
After meeting Tiana in the library, Ludwig knew that she didn't have many friends and he wanted to help her out. Thankfully, his plan worked and she was now friends with him and his siblings. Today, Tiana was visiting the castle because the Koopalings wanted to introduce her to their other friends. In the game room, Iggy sat next to Tiana on the couch and smiled. Tiana gave him a smile in return.
"I can't wait for you to meet our other friends!" Iggy said. Tiana began to tremble, which made Iggy give her a comfroting smile. "Don't worry, Tia. Our friends are really nice."
Tiana slightly relaxed and smiled a little. "Ok."
A few minutes later, Iggy and the others turned to the entrance of the room. Tiana let out a gasp, seeing a Para Koopa boy and a Sea Koopa girl standing there with a smile on their faces.
"Hey guys!" The boy greeted.
"Hi!" The girl said.
Iggy took Tiana's hand and approached them. He smiled and said, "Hey guys! This is our new friend Tiana Koopa." He smiled at Tiana. "Tia, theses are our friends, Prince Sky Koopahart and Princess Sierra Snapshell."
Tiana bowed. "H-Hello. It's so nice to meet you two."
Sky smiled at her. "Hello."
"Hi!" Sierra smiled at Tiana. "You look very nice!"
Tiana blushed and adjusted her purple glasses. "Thank you."
Once Sierra and Sky walked inside the room, Lemmy pulled out a board game for everyone to play.
After playing the game (and rolling their eyes at Larry, who won), everyone wanted to get a snack. Ludwig stood up and looked at everyone.
"Why don't we go to Koopa Valley and get some ice cream?" He suggested. "I'll even pay for everyone."
"That's really nice of you Ludwig," Sierra said. "but I don't mind paying for my own."
Ludwig smiled and insisted. "It's fine. I don't mind paying."
Lemmy put the board game away and everyone followed Ludwig out of the room.
The kids arrived in Koopa Valley, one of the few towns in the Koopa Kingdom and one close to Bowser's castle. It was also the town where Tiana and her family lived. The sky was a little smoggy, but it was still a nice day. They saw a few Dragon Koopas, Koopa Troopas, and Goombas out. Tiana smiled as she looked around the town. She really loved Koopa Valley.
As the kids walked down a sidewalk, they heard a Dragon Koopa talking to their friend, a Koopa Paratroopa.
"Man, I had a dream last night about a strange Koopa." The Dragon Koopa said.
The Paratroopa raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by a "strange Koopa"?"
The Dragon Koopa scratched the back of his head. "Well, there was a young Koopa, probably around thirteen years old." The Dragon Koopa said. "He looked like a Dragon Koopa, but he had crystals on his shell instead of spikes."
The royal Koopa kids froze and stared at one another after hearing that.
Iggy looked at everyone and said, "You don't think…?"
Tiana looked at everyone. "What's wrong?"
Iggy turned to Tiana and replied, "That guy might be talking about a Crystal Koopa."
Tiana blinked. "Crystal Koopa? I thought they weren't real."
Sky chuckled. "We believe they are."
"Huh." Tiana glanced up at the smoggy sky. "I wonder why some people don't believe in them, and others have never even heard of them."
"I believe that information on them have been erased." Ludwig answered.
"Wow. That's interesting." Tiana said.
The group finally made it to the ice cream shop and Ludwig ordered their frozen treats. Once they had their ice cream, everyone sat down at the tables. Iggy and Tiana sat across from Sierra and Sky at a table near the window.
Sierra smiled. "Strawberry ice cream is my favorite!"
Iggy giggled. "Chocolate is way better!" He looked at Tiana. "Right, Tiana?"
Tiana smiled and replied, "Yes!"
Sierra looked at Sky's ice cream and asked him, "How come you chose vanilla instead of mint chocolate chip?"
Sky shrugged. "I wanted something different."
"Vanilla is so plain." Sierra remarked.
Sky chuckled and replied, "It's still good!"
Tiana put her spoon to her mouth and swallowed her ice cream. "I can't believe that Crystal Koopas might actually be real!" She stuck her spoon back into her ice cream. "I wonder where they are."
"No one knows." Sierra replied.
"I flew to many different places, but I haven't seen any Crystal Koopas." Sky added.
The door to the ice cream shop opened and two Dragon Koopas, a girl and a boy, walked inside.
"Last night, I had a dream that I was walking around Koopa Town, and I saw a Koopa with crystals on his shell." She chuckled. "The crystals looked so pretty!"
Tiana looked at the others and whispered, "This is the second Koopa to mention a Koopa with crystals on his shell."
Iggy licked his ice cream. "I wonder what the deal is."
That's it for now!
The Crystal Kingdom
Hi everyone! Here's the next chapter! Now, this chapter is set during chapter 29 of "The Crystal Kingdom Redux". So if you haven't read that story yet, read that first :)
I hope you like this chapter!
Months have gone by since the kids learned about the possible Crystal Koopa. More Dragon Koopas and Koopa Troopas in the Koopa Kingdom started having dreams about the Koopa. Even a few Koopas and Goombas in the Koopa Troop have dreamed about this Koopa. Iggy also began to develop feelings for his friend Tiana. His siblings and cousins enjoy teasing him about it, knowing that it gets on his nerves.
Recently, Bowser had lost once again to Mario and Luigi after kidnapping Princess Peach. When his younger sister Clawdeen came over for a quick visit, he told her about his feelings about it. He didn't know what else to do. Clawdeen suggested that Bowser should take over a different kingdom. While having dinner with Clawdeen and her family, Bowser learned that Larry and his nephew John had fell into a forest while out playing. The forest was in between two kingdoms, which were Stardust Land and the Crystal Kingdom.
Clawdeen grinned and told Bowser that he should try taking over the Crystal Kingdom. After a little bit of thinking it over, Bowser agreed. He also asked for his sister's help. After doing some research on the kingdom, Bowser, Clawdia, and their kids prepared to invade the Crystal Kingdom with help from Clawdeen, her husband Langston, and their eight children. They invaded the kingdom on the same day as Princess Krystal, the ruler of the Crystal Kingdom, was having a birthday party. The Mario Bros., along with Princesses Peach and Daisy, tried to stop the Koopas, but were trapped inside of crystals by Bowser.
For a awhile, Bowser and his family had won. Until Larry learned that Melody, a Toad girl who worked in the crystal castle, and Prince Sterling, the ruler of Stardust Land, teamed up to save the kingdom. Junior and the Koopalings teamed up with their cousins and went to different locations in the Crystal Kingdom to stop the two heroes. Unfortunately, each kid lost. While everyone fought again in Princess Krystal's crystal castle, the castle began to collapse. Instead of staying and fighting more, Bowser and his family decided to flee and were now in the Magma Kingdom, Clawdeen's kingdom.
Princess Krystal decided to bake the kids a cake after everything that happened. Melody and the others were confused at first, but Krystal believed that there's good in all of them. After eating their geode cake, the kids (with the exception of Junior and Talisa, who went to bed) went to the game room to hang out before they had to sleep. While some of the kids prepared to play a video game, they heard a phone ringing. They realized it was Iggy's and made fun of him when they learned that it was Tiana calling.
Iggy stepped out of the room to talk to his friend for a bit. He was going to tell her how he felt, but decided against it. The moment wasn't right to him. As he hung up and put his phone back inside his shell, Iggy froze. He heard his cousin Sharon's voice coming from inside the game room.
"Guys! He didn't tell her!"
"What?!" Iggy rushed back into the room. "Sharon?! Were you eavesdropping on our conversation?!"
Sharon chuckled. "Maybe…"
Iggy blushed as his cousins and siblings laughed. He grumbled as he sat back down on the couch.
"Dude, you really got it bad!" John laughed. "You had the chance to tell her, but you didn't! Are you that scared or something?"
Iggy ignored him and closed his eyes.
Sharon added, "He seemed like he was going to tell her too!"
"Iggy?" Sandra sat closer to her younger cousin, making Iggy open his eyes. "I'm sure if you tell Tiana how you feel, you both will be happy."
Alex chuckled. "And Sandy will probably make a story based on you guys."
Sandra pouted after hearing that. "I would never!"
Iggy sighed and shook his head. He sat up straight and looked at the others.
"Alright! When I'm finally ready, I'll tell Tia that I love her, ok?" Iggy adjusted his glasses. "And if she does feel the same, I want you guys to stop teasing me about this!"
"Hmm…" Lemmy thought for a second. "No!" He playfully smirked at Iggy.
Austin laughed. "Yeah! It's too much fun messing with you about Tiana!"
Iggy shook his head. "You guys can be really annoying sometimes…"
After that, everyone went back to their activities. Iggy closed his eyes again and thought to himself.
"Maybe not today, but one day, I'll tell her."
While everyone played games or read books, they looked up when they heard Iggy gasp. Sandra looked over at him.
"What's the matter, Iggy?" She asked him.
"When we were in the Crystal Kingdom, we didn't see any Crystal Koopas!" He exclaimed.
"Oh." Sandra replied. "I almost forgot about them."
Ludwig turned to face his brother. "Why would the Crystal Koopas be there?"
"Because it's the Crystal Kingdom." John said and chuckled.
Sandra giggled. "The only Crystal Koopas there were us when we used the Crystal Mushroom."
"Is that what their shells actually look like?" Austin wondered.
Ludwig shook his head. "No. Their shells look like ours, but they have crystals instead of spikes on them."
Iggy added, "A few Koopas in the Koopa Kingdom have seen a Koopa like that in their dreams."
"Huh." Sandra glanced up at the ceiling. "I wonder why the Crystal Koopas didn't move to the Crystal Kingdom."
"The citizens probably would've been afraid of Koopas in general." Sharon replied.
Sandra let out a sigh. "That's probably true."
Iggy adjusted his glasses again. "I wonder if the dreams that other Koopas are having are signs that the Crystal Koopas are still out there."
Sandra replied, "It could be." She picked up her phone and began to scroll through her social media. "Maybe a Crystal Koopa will make an appearance one day."
I'll try to work on the next chapter one day next week :D
Secrets of the Shellsplit
Hello everyone! I've been working on this chapter all day basically. Now this story officially takes place after Super Koopalings Special Episode: A Taste of Tiana! If you haven't read that, please do! I love that story so much. If I had a working printer right now, I'd print it out and turn it into either a hardcover or paperback book to keep lol
Anyways, on with the chapter :D
Two years have gone by since the Koopa family invaded the Crystal Kingdom. After breaking up with each other and dealing with hurt from their new partners, Iggy and Tiana have gotten back together. They were now fifteen years old and they were even happier than they were when they first started dating at thirteen. Their friends and family were also happy for them. They were glad that Iggy and Tiana were in a loving and caring relationship.
A few days ago, Tiana abruptly vanished and ended up in an alternate universe. With help from an older alternate version of Iggy, she was able to return home. She and the alternate Koopalings were standing on top of a hill when Tiana heard her Iggy calling out to her. Crying, she ran towards him and hugged him tightly. While reuniting with her boyfriend, she couldn't help but chuckle when she saw him faint after seeing his alternate self.
After saying goodbye to the alternate Koopalings, Tiana carried her Iggy and walked down into Koopa Valley. She smiled as she looked around at the familiar shops and homes.
"Wow! I've missed this place so much!" Tiana said.
"SON OF A BITCH!" She heard alternate Iggy swear loudly.
Tiana laughed. "Oh man. They must've realized they have to go through more portals to get back home." She giggled. "Poor guys."
As she smiled and looked around town, Tiana heard a gasp from her right. She turned her head and let out her own gasp. Walking out of a store was her parents Tony and Tyra, and her younger sister Jenny. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked at them. Tiana dropped Iggy (immediately regretting it) and rushed over to her family.
"Guys!" Tiana hugged her parents and sister tightly.
Tyra kissed Tiana's cheek. "What happened, Tiana? Where did you go?"
"We were all so worried about you!" Tony exclaimed.
"I'll explain everything." Tiana answered. She looked over at Iggy, who was slowly sitting up and rubbing his head. "Um, we should probably get him back to the castle, and I'll explain everything there."
Everyone sat in the living room of Bowser's castle. Tiana stood in front of everyone. Bowser and Clawdia sat next to Tyra and Tony. Jenny sat with Junior and the Koopalings. Kamek sat on a stool near Bowser. They all stared at Tiana, waiting for her to explain everything.
Tiana took a deep breath. "So, a few days ago, I left my house to come to the castle, like usual." She frowned. "Well, after I left, I ran into Drake."
Iggy tensed up. "Your ex?"
Tiana nodded. "Yep." She cleared her throat. "So, I got scared and ran away." Tiana adjusted her glasses. "As I was running, I saw a glowing, light blue light up ahead. My mind was on getting away from Drake, so… I ran through it. And on the other side, I crashed into someone." Tiana chuckled. "It was an older, alternate version of Iggy!"
Iggy gasped. "Wait! Is that who I saw in Koopa Valley?"
"Yep! Him and the rest of the Koopalings!" Tiana replied.
"Alternate version? You mean…?" Ludwig trailed off.
"I ended up in an alternate universe!" Tiana remarked. "It… it was crazy. I mean, there were so many differences! For example," Tiana pointed to the Koopalings. "You guys are King Bowser's adopted kids!" She then pointed to Bowser Jr. "And Junior is a clone of Bowser!"
Junior's eyes widened. "A clone? That's so cool!"
Tiana began to explain everything. She talked about how alternate Iggy's ray gun broke, the numerous differences between both dimensions, and how she got to meet her alternate self along with her husband and children. Kamek softly gasped when Tiana mentioned that alternate Ludwig had superpowers. It was a little strange to her, but she continued telling her story. Maybe the old Magikoopa thought alternate Ludwig was cool.
Once Tiana finished her story, Tyra moved her braids out of her face and smiled at her daughter.
"That's amazing!" She exclaimed. "I'm so glad that you're back safe and sound."
Larry laughed. "Hahaha! I'm kinda surprised alternate Iggy never built himself a robot girlfriend or wife!"
Iggy rolled his eyes at his younger brother. "Why do you think any version of me would build one?"
Larry replied, "You seem like the type to build a girlfriend." Larry giggled. "I bet if you weren't dating Tia, you'd probably get desperate and build yourself a girlfriend."
Tiana giggled as Iggy glared at Larry. "I don't think alternate Iggy's interested in dating." She moved a strand of hair out of her face. "Which makes me a little sad. I believe he deserves someone special and he deserves to be in a loving relationship."
Lemmy giggled. "I was kinda expecting Alfred to be Iggy's doppelgänger!"
Wendy laughed with him. "Yeah! Both Tiana's do have a type!"
Roy added, "Their type is nerdy science guys with thick glasses!"
Tiana playfully rolled her eyes at them.
Larry then grinned. "My alternate self is the coolest out of everyone else's! He's a robot!"
"Larry, your alternate self can't eat or age! I feel really bad for him." Tiana said.
"Huh." Larry thought for a second. "Why doesn't he just use a Wish Crystal to wish for himself to be a cyborg. That way, he can age, have kids, eat, and still be a cool robot." He shrugged. "At least that's how it works in the cartoons and comics that I like."
"Hm. I'm not sure if the Crystal Kingdom even exists in that universe." Tiana smiled. "Maybe if the alternate Koopalings visit some time, I'll suggest it to him."
Iggy smiled. "I also wanna thank my alternate self for helping you get back home, Tia."
"I agree." Tony replied. Tyra nodded.
Iggy then added, "I'll definitely make my own interdimensional ray gun to visit their universe!"
Kamek stood and walked over to Tiana. "It's amazing how alternate Ludwig has superpowers!" He smiled. "Do Koopas like him have a name?"
"Um." Tiana looked up at the ceiling. "I believe alternate Ludwig said they're called Special Koopas."
"That's very interesting!" Kamek replied. "You know, the powers he has kind of reminded me of…"
Everyone in the room stared at Bowser's advisor with puzzled expressions. Why did he stop talking? What was he going to say?
Clawdia was the first to speak. "Kamek? What did it remind you of?"
Kamek didn't respond. He began to sweat.
"Kamek?" Bowser said.
Sighing, Kamek adjusted his glasses. He inhaled deeply and walked to the left. He turned around so that he was facing everyone. "I was going to say, it reminded me of… the Crystal Koopas."
The kids gasped. "What do you mean?" Lemmy asked.
Kamek wiped some sweat off his brow. "The Crystal Koopas have their own superpowers."
Everyone gasped after hearing that.
Bowser looked at Kamek. "How do you know this?"
Kamek took a deep breath. "Many years ago, when the Shellsplit ended and the other Koopa races left the Koopa Kingdom, King Obsidian ordered for all information about the Crystal Koopas to be destroyed since he feared them the most for their power." He sighed. "The Magikoopas and Koopa Troopas who worked in the castle at the time didn't agree with the king and kept scrolls on the Crystal Koopas hidden inside the castle where no one could find them." He sighed again. "They're currently hidden… in my room."
Everyone stared at Kamek in shock.
"May we see these scrolls?" Clawdia asked him.
Kamek nodded. He waved his wand and summoned a brown box. He picked it up and handed it to Bowser. Bowser opened it and gasped. There were so many scrolls inside! He took out a scroll and slowly opened it.
Bowser read through it and gasped, getting everyone's attention.
"Whoa!" Bowser exclaimed.
"What is it?" Clawdia wondered.
Bowser replied, "It says that the Crystal Koopas were normal Dragon Koopas, but one day, while out exploring, a group of Koopas needed shelter from a storm and they hid in a cave with crystals inside." Bowser continued reading. "They unknowingly absorbed the raw crystal magic inside." Bowser then said, "Weeks later, the spikes on their shells turned into crystals and they discovered that they had their own type of superpower!" Bowser read more. "The magic from the crystals in the cave was gone when they went to check it out with more Dragon Koopas."
Tiana gasped. "They're Koopas with superpowers." She chuckled. "I should tell alternate Ludwig about them the next time I see him!"
"I can't believe King Obsidian wanted the information destroyed." Lemmy remarked.
"Me neither." Bowser replied. "Obsidian must've seen them as a bigger threat then the Para Koopas and Sea Koopas." He frowned slightly. "Well, Kamek did say he feared them for their power."
Iggy sighed. "All because they were different. He had no issue with them when they were normal Dragon Koopas like him."
"I wonder why King Obsidian felt that way about the other Koopa races." Jenny said to herself.
Tony replied, "He could've seen Dragon Koopas as the most "elite" form of Koopa."
"He also could've been insecure." Tyra added.
Clawdia nodded. "Both could be true."
Tiana frowned. "I feel so bad for the other Koopa races. The Crystal Koopas definitely had it worse."
That's it for now :D
The Mysterious Koopa
I have a cold right now, but I got some energy to write today :D Btw, I forgot to mention this in the author's notes in the last chapter, so I'll explain here :)
The Crystal Koopas are a replacement for the Misdeeds in my AU. Years ago the artist KoopalingsFreak8 (now ALBurning90) made her own Koopa characters called Misdeeds. They had diamonds on their stomachs and had different powers (ex: pyrokinesis, telekinesis, etc.) and lots of people in the Koopa fandom made their own, including myself. Now, after she stopped making Koopa art and changed the Misdeeds to her original species the Mysvarians, they have no connection to the Mario universe.
For a while, I've debated on keeping my characters as Misdeeds, turning them into normal Dragon Koopas, or making my own Koopa species. And back in July, along with the Sea Koopas and Para Koopas, I thought of the Crystal Koopas. So now my Misdeeds are Crystal Koopas!
Now that I'm finished explaining that, let's get on with the chapter!
Bowser put the scroll back inside of the box. "This is incredible!" He stared at the scrolls. "I can't believe they were hidden for so long!"
"Me neither!" Clawdia replied. She looked over at Kamek. "Kamek? May we look through these? I promise we'll give them back once we're finished."
Kamek nodded. "Of course, my queen."
Wendy turned to face Tiana. "Hey! Since you're back, we should hang out!" She looked at Jenny. "We can do something together in the game room!"
Tiana smiled. "Yeah! I'd love that!"
"Yeah!" Larry grinned. "Besides, I wanna hear more about that alternate universe!"
Tony chuckled. "I guess we can stay a little longer."
A few of the Koopalings cheered, making the parents laugh. They watched as the kids made their way to the game room.
"What?" Larry laughed as he looked at Tiana. "Our universe is boring compared to theirs?"
Tiana shrugged. "Well, those Koopalings dealt with a bunch of crazy stuff." She took off her glasses and wiped them off with a cloth. "I mean, they've dealt with time loops, body swapping, and other things like that!" She put her glasses back on. "That Iggy even has a working time machine!"
Iggy gasped. "He does?"
Tiana nodded. "Yep. It's been used quite a few times actually."
Iggy slowly grinned. "Ok, I have GOT to make that interdimensional ray gun!" He giggled. "I gotta see his time machine ASAP! Maybe it'll give me some inspiration for my own."
"Wait a minute." Ludwig looked at Tiana. "You didn't tell them about Justin and Jade?"
"It did cross my mind, but…" Tiana adjusted her glasses. "I dunno. I mean, all they did was kidnap Princess Peach and Kacey."
"And stole some of our minions." Wendy added.
Iggy sighed. "Well, at least we've only dealt with those two once."
"Huh?" Jenny looked at Iggy. "Who are Justin and Jade?"
Iggy answered, "They're two Toads that Ludwig and I cloned."
Jenny gasped. "Cloned?!"
Ludwig nodded. "Iggy and I disguised ourselves as humans once and got some dna from two random Toads in the Mushroom Kingdom." Ludwig sighed. "After getting it, we returned to the castle and used our clone machine."
"Our plan was to have them blend in with the other Toads and kindap Peach." Iggy sighed. "But, those two had plans of their own."
"Eh, as long as they stay away from Kacey, I don't really care." Roy stated.
"Wow…" Jenny stared at the two brothers. "That's crazy!"
Wendy giggled. "Well, why don't we all watch a movie now?"
Tiana smiled. "Sure!"
Wendy then picked up the remote and turned on the tv.
The movie ended an hour later. Wendy sighed happily as she changed the channel to a comedy sitcom.
"I love that movie so much!" She said.
Jenny giggled. "Me too!"
"I can't believe you had us watching a romance movie…" Roy grumbled.
Lemmy shrugged. "I thought it was nice."
As the kids talked, Tyra and Tony entered the room. They smiled, seeing how much fun their daughters were having with Bowser and Clawdia's children. Tony then cleared his throat.
"Girls?"
Tiana and Jenny looked over at the entryway. "Yes, Daddy?" Jenny responded.
"It's time for us to go home." Tyra said. "We have to head home and make dinner."
Tiana nodded. "Alright. I wanna see my brothers and the rest of the family later too."
"Bye guys!" Jenny said.
Tiana and her parents said goodbye to Junior and the Koopalings. Then, they left the castle.
Iggy sighed. "I'm so happy to have Tiana back."
"Me too!" Wendy said. "Everyone was so worried about her." She snorted. "Even Roy!"
"W-What? I was not!" Roy yelled. "I was just annoyed at how freaked out Iggy was!"
Wendy smirked at her older brother. "Suuure."
Iggy's stomach growled, making him chuckle. "And I can finally eat now that she's back."
The kids got ready for bed after eating dinner and hanging out in the game room a little longer. Iggy yawned as he entered his room.
"Today was great!" He yawned again. "Tiana's finally back home. Everything's back to normal."
Iggy grabbed his lime green pajamas and put them on. When he was finished, he lay in his bed, scrolling through his photos. The first one he saw was a picture of himself and Tiana, standing outside the castle. He smiled as he looked at it. He took it the day before Tiana disappeared.
He looked at more pictures when he got a text message.
"Hm?"
Iggy closed his photos app and opened the message. It was from Tiana. He smiled, seeing a drawing that she made. It was a drawing of himself. Actually, there was two of him. One looked taller and older.
They both were having a conversation and showing off their inventions. Iggy sent her a reply after taking another look at the drawing.
"Is that me and my alternate self?"
Tiana texted back. "Yep! I hope you two meet one day! I bet you guys could make something amazing together!"
"Yeah! That would be so great!" Iggy playfully smirked and sent her another text. "I look good in their universe."
"Iggy, you guys look the same!" Tiana sent back with a laughing emoji. "Well, one is obviously older."
"Still though!" Iggy replied, also adding a laughing emoji.
After talking with Tiana for a few minutes, they both said good night. Iggy placed his phone and glasses on his nightstand. He pulled his blanket over himself, closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep.
Iggy opened his eyes and looked observed his surroundings. He saw a white area with purple fog and a few large crystals. It was beautiful. But… also strange. What was this place?
"Huh?" Iggy looked at one of the crystals. "Where am I? And… why am I here?"
Looking around, Iggy realized that he was the only person there. He didn't see his family, nor did he see his friends or girlfriend.
Iggy frowned. "Where is everybody?"
"Everyone is currently in their own dreams."
Iggy froze when he heard that voice. He didn't recognize it. Iggy looked around. "W=Who's there?"
Then, a figure walked through the purple fog. Iggy took a good look at them. They were wearing a black hooded cloak, but they appeared to be a fellow Dragon Koopa. The Koopa stood in front of Iggy.
"It's very nice to actually meet you." The Koopa said.
"What do you mean?" Iggy asked. "Who are you?"
The Koopa hesitated. Iggy let out a breath and gave the Koopa a smile once he relaxed.
"It's alright." Iggy held out his hand. "I'm Iggy Koopa."
The Koopa hesitated again before cautiously taking Iggy's hand and shaking it.
"What's your name?" Iggy asked him.
After a moment, the figure responded. "…Wyatt."
Iggy smiled. "That's a nice name." He then remembered something. "So, where are we exactly?"
"We're in the dream world." Wyatt replied.
Iggy gasped. "I'm dreaming?" He looked at Wyatt again. "Why are you wearing a cloak?"
Wyatt touched his cloak. "I'm… not ready to show myself."
Iggy tilted his head. "Oh? Why's that?"
Sighing, Wyatt responded, "I want to tell you more, but I can't right now."
"Right now?" Iggy repeated. "You mean…" Iggy thought back to what Wyatt told him. They were currently in the dream world. His friends and family were in their own dreams right now. "…you entered my dream?"
When Wyatt nodded, Iggy's eyes widened.
"That's amazing!" Iggy began to grin.
Wyatt chuckled. "I should go now. It was nice to finally meet you, Iggy."
"Finally? What do you mean?" Iggy wondered.
"I'll reveal more soon." said Wyatt.
As Wyatt turned around, Iggy called out to him. "Wait!"
Iggy reached out to grab Wyatt's arm, but it was too late. Wyatt disappeared. And then, the area around Iggy began to fade.
Iggy opened his eyes and noticed the sunlight beaming through his window. It was finally morning. He slowly sat up and put his glasses on.
"What was that dream about…?" He whispered.
After getting out of bed, he got ready for the day and joined his family in the dining hall for breakfast. As soon as everyone was present, they took their seats and waited for the chefs to bring them their food. Two minutes later, the chefs arrived with their food. They gave the Koopa family their breakfast, bowed, and quietly left.
"How are you kids this morning?" Clawdia asked them.
Lemmy grinned. "I'm great! I think I'm gonna try a new circus trick after breakfast!"
Clawdia smiled. "That's good, honey!"
As everyone ate and talked, Iggy began to zone out. Clawdia looked around the table at everyone and noticed Iggy staring at his food. She slightly frowned.
"Iggy?" Iggy snapped out of it when he heard his mother call his name. He gazed up at her. "Is everything alright?" She asked.
"I was just thinking about a dream I had last night." Iggy replied and drank some of his apple juice.
"What was it about?" Lemmy asked.
His parents and siblings all looked at Iggy with curiousity. Taking a deep breath, Iggy began to explain everything that happened in the dream. The foggy area, the large crystals, meeting Wyatt. Once he was finished, everyone seemed very interested.
"A strange Koopa in a cloak…" Ludwig said.
Roy scoffed. "It was just a dumb dream."
Iggy shook his head. "It wasn't a dumb dream. I feel like it means something."
"I wonder if that Koopa will enter our dreams next or just Iggy's." Wendy said.
"Me too." Iggy replied.
The family finished their breakfast a few minutes later and began to leave the dining hall.
I'll try to make the next chapter soon!
More Questions
Hi everyone! I'm back with a new chapter! I hope you like it :)
Later on after breakfast, Iggy left the castle and headed to Tiana's house. Today, they were going the arcade in Neo Bowser City. He smiled when he arrived in Koopa Valley. He walked past a few houses until he saw Tiana's. Iggy approached the house and rang the doorbell. A minute later, Tiana opened the door.
Tiana gave him a smile. "Hi, Iggy!"
"Hey, Tia!" Iggy said. "Are you ready?"
"Yep!" Tiana turned her head and called out to her parents. "I'm leaving now!"
"Alright, honey! Have fun!" Tony replied.
After closing the door, Tiana took Iggy's hand and they left Koopa Valley.
Iggy and Tiana laughed and joked with each other as they played games in the arcade. The two were currently playing a racing game. Tiana was in 5th place while Iggy was in 2nd. Tiana bumped into a red car and got in front of it. She smiled, now in 4th place.
"Ok! I just have to get in front of this blue car, and then I'll be behind Iggy." Tiana chuckled. "I'm gonna win this round!"
Tiana grinned as she drove faster. She past the blue car and was now behind Iggy. Iggy gasped and sped up. Tiana followed close behind him. She dropped a bomb behind her, stopping the cars behind her from getting close. Glancing at Iggy, she smirked.
Tiana grabbed another bomb and threw it at his car.
Iggy gasped. "What? No!"
"HA!" Tiana grinned as she got in front of Iggy.
Tiana dodged an item that the car in front of her threw behind. She bumped into the car, but she was still behind it. Iggy growled as he ended up in 5th place. He past another car and was now in 4th place.
"Come on, come on…" He muttered.
Tiana grinned as she drove past the car in front of her. She was now in 1st place! The finish line was getting closer and closer.
"Almost there!" Tiana said.
Then, to her dismay, Iggy managed to get in front of her.
"What?!" Tiana looked over at Iggy and noticed him smirking.
They both crossed the finish line. Iggy was in 1st place while Tiana was in 2nd.
"Alright! Let's go!" Iggy cheered.
Tiana rolled her eyes. "You just got lucky."
Iggy giggled. "Maybe. But I won!"
As they walked away from the racing game, Iggy gasped. "Oh! I forgot to tell you about the dream I had last night!"
"Oh? What happened in your dream?" Tiana wondered.
Iggy leaned in and told her everything that happened. How he was in a strange but beautiful area, meeting Wyatt, Wyatt wearing a hooded cloak. Once Iggy finished talking about the dream, Tiana gasped softly.
"Iggy," She leaned in and whispered to him. "What if the Koopa you met was the Crystal Koopa that others have met before in their dreams?"
Iggy scratched his head. "Those Koopas have seen the Crystal Koopa. But Wyatt wore a cloak."
"Still though. It's pretty interesting." She adjusted her glasses. "Do you think he'll return to your dream tonight?"
Iggy shrugged and replied, "It's possible." He then smiled. "We shouldn't focus on the mystery Koopa right now. We should have some fun!"
Tiana smiled. "You're right. You wanna go to the mall next?"
"Sure!"
As they walked out of the arcade, they didn't notice a Goomba watching them. The Goomba continued to watch them as they walked further away. Then, he quickly ran out of Neo Bowser City.
After leaving the Koopa Kingdom, the Goomba eventually arrived at a large fortress near a forest. The Goomba walked inside and ran through the halls. Eventually, he arrived in the dining room where he saw two Toads sitting at the table. They were currently eating 1-Up Mushrooms. Both Toads had black mushroom caps with purple polka dots on them. They also wore black vests with purple lining.
The guy also wore black gloves, white pants, and black shoes. The girl had long black hair and wore a black dress, black spiked bands on her wrists, and white shoes. The girl noticed the Goomba and spoke up.
"So, did you learn anything interesting about the Koopas?" She questioned him.
"Nothing interesting, Jade. Only that Iggy had a dream about a mysterious Koopa." The Goomba replied.
The guy sighed. "I can't believe the Koopas invaded our territory instead of the other way around!" He rubbed his head. "It's been a few days and we're still in pain."
Jade swallowed the rest of her 1-Up Mushroom. "I know, Justin. They really accused us of kidnapping Tiana!" She chuckled. "We'd do it though."
"I wish we could take over the Koopa Kingdom, or any kingdom." Justin grumbled.
Jade patted Justin on the shoulder. "We'll rule over a kingdom one day soon. I know it!"
Iggy and Tiana returned to the castle after leaving the mall. Tiana smiled as she looked at Iggy.
"I missed going out with you." She said.
Iggy kissed her cheek and replied, "I did too." He then chuckled. "I still can't believe that you were in an alternate universe!"
Tiana giggled. "Imagine all of the different universes out there!"
Then, Iggy's face turned red. "I wonder if there's a universe where we're childhood friends." He smiled softly. "Maybe in that universe, we'd meet each other sooner and love each other even longer."
Tiana began to blush also. She smiled and said, "Maybe that universe does exist."
The couple made their way to the game room to find Junior and the rest of the Koopalings inside. Lemmy looked up and smiled when he saw them.
"Hey guys!" He greeted.
Tiana and Iggy sat down on the couch with Lemmy and Wendy. Wendy picked up the remote and flipped through the channels until she found a comedy movie. Everyone sat and began to watch it.
Later on after Tiana headed home and it got late, everyone went to their rooms to sleep. Iggy took off his glasses and stared at the ceiling. After a few minutes went by, Iggy drifted off to sleep.
When he opened his eyes, Iggy was back in the dream world. He walked and looked around the area.
"Wyatt!" He called out. "Lemmy! Ludwig!"
After a minute, Wyatt eventually showed up, still wearing his cloak.
"Hello. How are you, Iggy?"
"I'm fine, but what did you mean by finally meeting me?" He repositioned his glasses. "Did you mean that you saw me in the news or out in the Koopa Kingdom?"
"Something like that." Wyatt answered.
"Can I ask you a question?" Iggy said. Once Wyatt nodded, Iggy spoke again. "How can you enter my dreams?"
Wyatt replied, "I have the power to travel into people's dreams."
Iggy gasped. "Are you serious?"
"Yes." Wyatt said.
Iggy replied, "That's amazing! I heard that it's very hard to dreamwalk into other people's dreams!" Iggy smiled at him. "How are you able to do it?"
Wyatt chuckled and said, "I could do it ever since I was a baby."
"That's so cool!" Iggy then thought of something. "Hang on. If you can talk to me in my dreams, then why can't you talk to me in person?"
Wyatt rubbed his arm. "It's… complicated."
Iggy arched an eyebrow. "Huh? Why?"
"I live far away and… it's because of… your bloodline." Wyatt finally responded.
Iggy blinked. Then, he narrowed his eyes. "My bloodline? What are you talking about?"
Wyatt sighed. "I want to believe you're different, I really do." Wyatt tilted his head. "You seem different."
Iggy stared at Wyatt before speaking again. "I don't understand."
Wyatt stayed silent.
Iggy walked closer. "What do you mean?"
After letting out a sigh, Wyatt said, "I'll tell you soon."
"You can trust me! I just want answers!" Iggy exclaimed. He then added, "You come into my dreams twice in a row and you're being really cryptic about everything!"
"I know, and I'm sorry. I don't want to be, but I have to." Wyatt said.
"Why?" Iggy questioned once more.
"I'll tell you soon." replied Wyatt.
Before Iggy could grab him, Wyatt disappeared and the dream ended.
When Iggy woke up, he screamed, "Noooo!", getting his family's attention. Clawdia hurriedly opened his bedroom door.
"What happened? Are you alright, Iggy?" She asked him.
Iggy put on his glasses and said, "Wyatt still didn't tell me everything!"
Clawdia approached Iggy's bed and took a seat. "I'm sure Wyatt will tell you more." She smiled. "Maybe he's nervous and a little shy. Try to be patient, honey."
Iggy sighed. "You're probably right…"
Clawdia smiled again. "You should get ready for the day and come have breakfast with everyone."
Iggy nodded and slowly got out of bed.
At the breakfast table, Iggy began to tell his family everything Wyatt said. When he was finished, Bowser raised an eyebrow.
"What did he mean by the bloodline?" He wondered.
"That's what I want to know!" Iggy replied.
Morton put his hand on his chin and said, "Maybe someone in the past did something to his family."
"But who?" Lemmy asked. "No one really did anything besides us invading other kingdoms."
Then, Wendy gasped, getting everyone's attention.
"What's wrong, Wendy?" Iggy asked her.
Wendy looked at him and replied, "Think about it. He has powers, is a Koopa, and doesn't trust our bloodline. What kind of Koopa does that sound like?"
After a few seconds, everyone else said, "Oh my gosh!"
Btw, Iggy talking about a universe where he and Tiana are childhood friends is a reference to my old backstory for them where they first met each other in kindergarten :) They end up meeting in middle school instead in my updated AU, but I like to think about my old ideas sometimes.
Realization
Hi everyone! I got some time to write!
The Koopa family stared at each other in shock and disbelief. Is it true? Is this strange Koopa that Iggy dreamed of actually a Crystal Koopa? Was Wyatt a part of a lost Koopa race? This… this was insane!
Eventually, Ludwig broke the silence. "Is Wyatt the Crystal Koopa everyone has been seeing in their dreams the past two years?"
After adjusting his glasses, Iggy replied, "It's possible." He then added, "We don't know for sure if he really is one though."
Wendy's jaw dropped. "Iggy! The signs are right there!"
"Well, I guess so…" Iggy replied.
"So he's the one!" Wendy remarked. "He's the Crystal Koopa! They're still out there somewhere!"
Lemmy stared at the ceiling. "Hmm. I wonder where they are now."
Iggy replied, "I do too."
Lemmy looked at his taller, but younger brother and said, "You should ask Wyatt more questions when he enters your dreams again."
Iggy slowly smiled. "I will."
Later on, the kids went to the game room to relax. As they sat down and watched a sitcom (with the exception of Larry, who was playing on his Nintendo Switch), Wendy giggled to herself.
"I can't believe that the Crystal Koopas are still out there!" She squealed, making a few of her brothers wince. "I really want to meet them in person!"
Lemmy added, "I bet they're probably just as cool as the Para Koopas and Sea Koopas!"
Wendy turned to Iggy, her smile still on her face. "What's Wyatt like?"
Iggy then said, "Well, he seems quiet, but cool." He sighed. "He's pretty mysterious too."
"Yes!" Larry cheered as he beat the final boss. He turned around to look at Iggy. "You gotta ask Wyatt where he and the other Crystal Koopas are."
"Eh, I'll try," Iggy rubbed the back of his head. "but I don't know if Wyatt will tell me."
Roy crossed his arms. "Hm. What makes you so special for him to enter your dreams? I'm cooler and way more interesting!"
"I'm cool too." Iggy replied. He rolled his eyes as Roy began to laugh.
Wendy then spoke up again. "Y'know, it'd be pretty interesting if Wyatt visited someone else's dream too."
Lemmy gasped. "What if we all have the same dream and Wyatt showed up?"
"Hahaha! Maybe Wyatt can bring you guys into my dream." Iggy grinned.
An hour later, Iggy was in his room talking to Tiana on the phone. He told her everything that transpired at breakfast. Once he was finished, Tiana gasped.
"Are you serious?"
"Yep!" Iggy said. "It could be true."
"I knew it!" Tiana exclaimed. "That's incredible!" Iggy couldn't see her, but he knew that she was smiling. "The Crystal Koopas are really out there!"
Iggy chuckled. "I really wanna know more about them."
"You should ask Wyatt when you get the chance." Tiana replied.
Smiling, Iggy said, "Oh, I definitely will!"
As the hours went by, it started getting darker outside. Eventually, it was time for Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings to go to bed. After brushing his teeth and changing into his pajamas, Iggy returned to his room and got into bed. He stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, thinking about everything that happened.
"Is it true, Wyatt? Are you really a Crystal Koopa?" Iggy yawned. "Please… please give me some answers tonight."
A few minutes later, Iggy fell asleep.
Iggy and Tiana were strolling side by side in Neo Bowser City. Tiana smiled as she took in the stunning neon lights around them. Iggy smiled at her, but then, he realized something. He glanced around the city and saw many Koopas and Goombas out shopping or going to restaurants. Everything seemed normal, but Iggy knew something wasn't right. Or rather, someone was missing.
Where was Wyatt?
"I am dreaming… right?" Iggy thought to himself. He looked around the city, seeing more Koopas walk by them. "Where could he be?"
Tiana waved to a Koopa Troopa and glanced up at Iggy. Seeing the confusion on his face, she frowned slightly.
"Iggy honey, what's wrong?" She questioned him.
"Huh?" Iggy snapped out of his thoughts and looked at her. He gave Tiana a smile and said, "Oh, everything's great! I was just thinking about something."
Tiana nodded and the two made their way to the mall.
The following morning, Iggy slowly opened his eyes and frowned. He sat up as he thought about his dream. Even though it was very sweet, he really wanted to talk to Wyatt. Where was he? Yawning, Iggy got out of bed and got ready for the day.
When everyone made it to the dining hall for breakfast, Iggy sat down in between Lemmy and Larry. Lemmy had a huge grin on his face, a bigger one than usual. As everyone got their breakfast, Iggy took a bite of his waffles as he felt his older but shorter brother staring at him.
Iggy swallowed and raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"So, what happened?" Lemmy asked, doing his best to not bounce in his seat. "What did Wyatt say?"
Iggy frowned. Oh, they're going to be so disappointed.
"I… Wyatt wasn't in my dream last night."
Lemmy's smile faltered. "Wha? What do you mean?"
Iggy sat down his glass of orange juice. "Like I said, he didn't show up." Iggy sighed. "I'm not sure why he wasn't this time though…"
"Maybe Wyatt didn't use his powers last night." Clawdia remarked.
Iggy nodded and took another sip of his orange juice. "Who knows. Maybe he'll be in my dream tonight."
I'll try to post the next chapter soon!
The Reveal
Hi! Here's a new chapter!
As the week went by, Iggy either dreamed of random events or didn't dream at all. In the dreams that he had, Wyatt wasn't in any of them. Iggy had no idea why. Was Wyatt ok? Maybe he's busy? Was Wyatt even real at all?
Iggy shook his head. "No. Wyatt IS real. And I'm gonna meet him again."
Iggy walked out of his room and made his way to the lab. Today, he was going to work on a new project. This project was his own interdimensional ray gun. The fact that his girlfriend ended up in an alternate dimension, as well as seeing his alternate self and siblings for a split second, made him very curious. Actually, he was EXTREMELY curious!
Seriously! This was incredible! Tiana actually ended up in an alternate dimension that had similarities to theirs, but with many differences. Iggy always knew that it was possible, but he never got around to testing it out. Now, he could finally give it a try.
He entered the lab and sat down at one of the tables. He grabbed a piece of paper and pencil and began jotting down ideas for his own ray gun. He giggled to himself. This was going to be amazing! Maybe once the ray gun is finished, he can find his alternate self and officially meet him. Iggy giggled again, imagining the conversations he'd have with himself.
As he continued to write, his mind went from the alternate dimension to Wyatt and the other Crystal Koopas. He sat down his pencil and sighed.
"I wonder what Wyatt's up to." Iggy said to himself. "I hope he's alright."
Later that night, Iggy yawned as made his way to his room. He walked inside and got ready for bed. Once he got into bed, he pulled his blanket over his body and placed his glasses on the nightstand. A few minutes later, Iggy fell asleep.
Iggy blinked and looked around at his surroundings. He was currently in a forest with a few crystals nearby. He walked forward and looked around the area some more. This place looked so beautiful. It reminded Iggy of Soda Jungle, but without the poison and the crystals. He smiled to himself, feeling completely at ease.
"Iggy!"
He gasped when he heard a voice calling out to him. That voice— it sounded so familiar. Could it be…?
"Is it him?"
Iggy sprinted deeper into the forest. As he ran, he began to see a waterfall up ahead. He ran faster and faster until finally, Iggy made it to the waterfall. He smiled, seeing a familiar cloaked Koopa sitting near a big rock. Wyatt stood up and faced the Koopaling.
"Hello, Iggy." Wyatt greeted him.
"Hey!" Iggy rushed over to him. "Where have you been, Wyatt?"
Wyatt sighed. "I… I wasn't able to visit your dreams."
"Oh? Why's that?" Iggy wondered.
"It's complicated…" Wyatt answered.
Iggy sighed. "Wyatt, you don't have to keep any secrets from me or wear the cloak." Iggy stepped closer. "I know that you're a Crystal Koopa."
Wyatt gasped and took a step back. "H-How do you know that?"
Iggy chuckled and responded, "Well, you have dream powers and you were pretty hesitant to tell me certain things because of my bloodline."
With a hesitant laugh, Wyatt removed his cloak. When he did, Iggy gasped softly at his appearance. Wyatt looked like a Dragon Koopa, but had a light periwinkle blue shell with light purple rings surrounding the purple crystals on it. He had gold skin like most Koopas, blue eyes, a light purple face, coily periwinkle blue hair, and wore black bands around his wrists with purple gemstones on them.
Wyatt approached Iggy and remarked, "I guess I should reintroduce myself now." Wyatt gave Iggy a smile. "I am Wyatt Kooperman, prince of the Crystal Koopas."
Iggy's eyes widened. "You're a prince too?"
After Wyatt nodded, Iggy grinned and said, "That's amazing!" He giggled. "The others and I have always wondered where the Crystal Koopas went after the Shellsplit and if they were still alive!" Iggy placed his hands on Wyatt's shoulders. "This is incredible!"
Iggy's reaction made Wyatt chuckle. Iggy then removed his hands from his shoulders and raised an eyebrow. "So wait. Besides my bloodline, why didn't you tell me before?"
Frowning slightly, Wyatt replied, "I wasn't sure at first how you would've reacted to me being a Crystal Koopa." He glanced away from Iggy. "Even if you weren't a descendant of King Obsidian, I didn't know if you'd like me or hate me." Wyatt sighed. "I was a little hesitant about entering the dreams of other Dragon Koopas, but I wanted to explore other dreams and… I just didn't interact with those Koopas in their dreams."
"I'm not like King Obsidian. None of my family is either." Iggy smiled. "In fact, us Dragon Koopas, Sea Koopas, and Para Koopas really wanna meet you guys!"
Wyatt's eyes grew wide. "Really?"
After Iggy nodded, Wyatt smiled. "That's amazing." Wyatt said. "I really want to meet the other Koopa races." Wyatt then frowned. "My dad won't leave our home though."
Iggy gave him a smile. "Maybe your father will change his mind."
Wyatt sighed. "Maybe." He then smiled. "Well, since we're in the dream world, why don't we get to know each other more?"
That's it for now! And since I'll probably be very busy tomorrow since it's thanksgiving, happy thanksgiving if you celebrate it!
Wyatt meets Tiana
Hello! I hope you all had a good thanksgiving yesterday! Here's chapter 10 :D
Iggy and Wyatt sat on the ground and stared at each other. Iggy then gave Wyatt a smile.
"I'll go first." Iggy cleared his throat. "I am Prince Iggy of the Dragon Koopas and the Koopa Kingdom, but you already knew that." He and Wyatt chuckled at that. Iggy then continued. "I have seven siblings and I'm the middle child. I'm also fifteen years old."
Wyatt gasped. "I'm fifteen too!"
"Really? That's cool!" Iggy answered.
Wyatt smiled. "Well, I'm the prince of the Crystal Koopas and our kingdom, Shellshard Canyon."
Iggy nodded. "That sounds like a cool place."
Smiling, Wyatt replied, "It is." He thought to himself for a second and continued. "I have four siblings: Jack, Vendetta, Diamond, and Sophia." Wyatt added, "Vendetta is the oldest and heir to the throne, Jack is the second oldest, then me, next is Diamond, and Sophia is the youngest."
"So you're the middle child too." Iggy and Wyatt laughed. Once they calmed down, Iggy asked, "So, what powers do your siblings have?"
"Vendetta has geokinesis, Jack has cyrokinesis, Sophia has the ability to create and control plants and flowers, and Diamond has invisibility." Wyatt chuckled. "That's actually how I first saw you and your family."
"Huh?" Iggy tilted his head. "What do you mean?"
"Eh," Wyatt scratched his head. "it's kind of a long story. I'll tell you another time."
Iggy giggled and remarked, "Hopefully it'll be in person." He adjusted his glasses. "What do you like to do for fun?"
"I like to play tennis!" Wyatt responded.
Grinning, Iggy replied, "My brother Larry loves tennis!"
"Really? It'd be fun to if he and I played a game together." Wyatt said.
"Do you play video games or have a favorite show or movie?"
Tilting his head, Wyatt asked, "What are those?"
Iggy gasped. "What?! You guys don't have video games or TV?!"
Wyatt laughed. "Well, our kingdom has been hidden from the outside world for years."
"Oh. Right!" Iggy laughed. Once he calmed down, he began to think of what to ask next. After a few seconds went by, he smiled. "Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?"
Wyatt shook his head. "I'm single at the moment, but I hope to find the right girl someday." He smiled at Iggy. "What about you?"
Iggy's cheeks turned pink. "I have a girlfriend. Her name is Tiana Koopa. She's really sweet, kind, and beautiful." Wyatt smiled as Iggy began to describe what Tiana looked like. When he was finished, Iggy said, "I wish you could meet Tiana. She'd be happy to meet you."
Wyatt's smile grew bigger. "Actually, I can." Wyatt laughed when Iggy raised an eyebrow at him. "I can bring her into your dream."
"You can really do that? How?" Iggy wondered.
Wyatt closed his eyes and began meditating. Then, a moment later, Iggy heard a familiar voice coming from the forest. Squinting, Iggy saw his girlfriend nervously walking by the trees. He and Wyatt stood as she got closer to the area. Iggy hurried over to Tiana, and when she saw him, she smiled and quickly relaxed.
"Iggy! What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I want you to meet someone, Tia." Iggy said as he took her hand.
Tiana followed Iggy through the forest until they made it to the area with the stunning waterfall. Then, when Tiana looked near the rock, she gasped. There, she saw a Koopa with gorgeous purple crystals on his shell.
Iggy grinned. "Wyatt, this is my girlfriend, Tiana. Tiana, this is Wyatt Kooperman, prince of the Crystal Koopas."
"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" Wyatt said. "I brought you into Iggy's dream."
Tiana timidly said, "Hello, Your Highness. So, you used your powers to bring me here?" After Wyatt nodded, Tiana smiled slightly. "Your power is amazing!"
Wyatt chuckled. "Hehe, thanks!"
Tiana stared at Wyatt in amazement and whispered, "Wow! A real Crystal Koopa!" She adjusted her glasses and said, "It's so amazing that the Crystal Koopas are still around!"
Wyatt giggled and said, "Our kingdom is just hidden from everyone else."
Iggy, Tiana, and Wyatt talked and laughed together in the dream world. After laughing at Iggy's joke, Wyatt sighed.
"It was great hanging out with you two, even if it's only in a dream."
"Same here!" Iggy exclaimed. Tiana nodded.
"I have to go now, but I'll try to enter your dreams tomorrow night." Wyatt said.
Iggy grinned. "Yeah! I really want to!"
"Me too!" Tiana replied.
Wyatt smiled and said, "I'll try. I also wanna meet the rest of your siblings, Iggy. Even the heirs of the Sea and Para Koopas!"
"You'll like them a lot." Iggy said.
Wyatt chuckled. "I know I will."
After saying goodbye, Wyatt ended the connection.
I'll post the next chapter tomorrow or next week :)
Meeting the Others
Two uploads in one day! I had some energy to write more :)
The royal Koopa children sat in the game room the next day, listening to Iggy and Tiana talk about their dream from last night. A few stared at them wide eyed as they talked about their encounter with Wyatt. Iggy giggled at their reactions and continued telling them everything. When he and Tiana were finished, Sierra gasped.
"I can't believe the Crystal Koopas are still out there somewhere!" She grinned. "It's so cool!"
Sky grinned also and said, "I'd love to meet Wyatt, even in a dream!"
"How does Wyatt even know who we are and what we look like?" Ludwig wondered.
"Wyatt's sister has invisibility powers and that's how he knows." Iggy shrugged. "Wyatt didn't explain that part, but I'm hoping he will soon."
Wendy put away her compact mirror. "I wish Wyatt could visit us in person."
Iggy sighed. "Me too."
Tiana added, "Wyatt is really nice."
"I can't believe the Crystal Koopas don't have TV, movies, or video games!" Larry exclaimed. "Especially video games!" He added, "We really need to get in contact with the Crystal Koopas so they can get our technology too."
Ludwig arched an eyebrow. "Just so you can beat a Crystal Koopa at video games?"
Larry chuckled. "Yes!"
Tiana laughed and said, "A Crystal Koopa could be better than you at video games AND sports, Larry!"
Larry rolled over on his side as he laughed even harder than Tiana. "HA! Hahaha! That's not possible!" After a minute passed, Larry finally calmed down. He sighed and said, "Still though. Them still being around is so cool! I really gotta meet them!"
Iggy adjusted his glasses. "Hopefully you all will get to meet Wyatt tonight."
Sky, Sierra, and Tiana went home an hour later. Junior and the Koopalings hung out in the game room for a majority of the day. Finally, it was time for everyone to go to bed. Once everyone was in their rooms, they got ready for bed. When the Koopalings and Bowser Jr got into bed, they slowly drifted off to sleep.
A moment later, Iggy opened his eyes and looked around. He was back in the dream world. He was standing in the same white area with purple fog and large crystals where he first met Wyatt. He grinned as he looked around and saw who else was there. His siblings, his girlfriend, and friends were with him this time.
"Where are we?" Bowser Jr. asked.
"In a dream." Iggy answered.
Wendy walked over to one of the crystals and giggled. "Wow! These crystals are so pretty!" Wendy smiled. "Just like the crystals in the Crystal Kingdom!"
Wendy and the others (with the exception of Iggy and Tiana) froze when they heard an unfamiliar voice say, "The Crystal Kingdom? That sounds like a lovely place."
The others looked around. "Who said that?" Larry asked.
When they looked ahead, Iggy and Tiana grinned. Everyone saw a figure walking through the fog. Then, the others gasped when they saw who it was. Iggy walked over and placed a hand on the Koopa's shoulder.
"Everyone, this is Prince Wyatt Kooperman. One of the Crystal Koopas." Iggy said.
Wyatt smiled. "Hello! It's great to finally meet you all!"
The others stared at the Crystal Koopa in shock and amazement. Ludwig slowly walked closer.
"You're… you're… you." Ludwig said.
Wyatt chuckled. "Yeah, I am."
Wendy approached him as well. "Your purple crystals are so beautiful!"
Wyatt began to blush. "Thank you." He turned to face Sky and Sierra. "Wow! You two look amazing!" He looked at everyone. "You all look amazing." Wyatt smiled again. "It's so great to see all four Koopa races together, even if it's in a dream."
Grinning, Bowser Jr. ran over to Wyatt.
"Are you really a Crystal Koopa?" He asked him.
Wyatt knelt down to his level and smiled. "Yes."
"Whoa! That's so cool!" Junior cheered.
Wyatt chuckled and patted Junior's head. He then stood up and looked at everyone with a smile.
"Why are we in the fog again this time instead of the forest or another place?" Iggy wondered.
"Oh, I can use my powers to change the dream."
Wyatt closed his eyes. Then, a moment later, the environment changed. Everyone was now standing in the Koopa Kingdom, near Bowser's castle.
Larry grinned. "That's so cool!"
"Haha! Thanks!" Wyatt replied. He continued, "This place looks really interesting."
"You should visit Darkland in person!" Wendy said. "It's a great place!"
Wyatt gave Wendy a wistful smile. "I really want to."
Iggy walked over to him and said, "I know your father will change his mind one day."
Wyatt smiled. "I hope he will." He looked around at the new location. "For now, let's have some fun in this dream!"
I'll update this story again next week!
The Crystal Shard
I finally got some time to write tonight :D
Ever since that day, Wyatt continued to visit Iggy and the others in their dreams. He even visited them one on one to get to know each Koopa a little better. He loved talking to and hanging out with all of them, but Iggy and Wendy were two that he liked talking to a lot. One night, Iggy fell asleep and began to dream. In this dream, it was early in the morning and he was outside in the Koopa Kingdom. He was currently standing in Koopa Town and saw many Koopa Troopas and Dragon Koopas out.
Iggy smiled as he walked through the town and waved to a few Koopas. Everyone looked to be in a good mood. Some Koopas waved back and others bowed to him. Eventually, Iggy was getting closer to the castle. His smile grew when he noticed Wyatt standing by the castle entrance. Iggy rushed over to his new friend.
"Hey, Wyatt!" Iggy greeted. But then, his smile vanished. When he got closer, Iggy looked confused when he saw the annoyed expression on Wyatt's face. "Wyatt? What's wrong?"
Sighing, Wyatt replied, "I told my parents that I've met you and the others."
"Oh…"
Wyatt continued. "I told my family that they should meet you guys 'cause I know you aren't bad guys and you don't wanna harm us." Wyatt let out a sigh. "But my parents don't agree." He sighed again. "I really want to prove to them that you guys aren't bad…"
Iggy patted Wyatt on the shoulder. "Everything will be fine."
Wyatt sighed for a third time. Then, Iggy watched as Wyatt slowly began to smile.
"What is it?" Iggy wondered.
Wyatt chuckled and shook his head. "It's nothing. So, what do you wanna do in this dream?"
The next day, Iggy was sitting the game room, thinking about Wyatt and his people. Where was Shellshard Canyon exactly? How many Crystal Koopas are there? What powers did the others have? Do any of them ever think about the other Koopa races?
Lemmy smiled as he looked at the cartoon that was on the TV. He glanced over at Iggy and frowned a little. Iggy wasn't watching the show, he was zoning out.
"Iggy?" Lemmy said, getting his brother's attention. "Is everything ok?"
Iggy looked at Lemmy and nodded. "Yeah. It's just… Wyatt really wants his parents to meet the other Koopa races, but they don't want to."
Lemmy gave Iggy a smile. "I'm sure they'll change their minds one day."
"I hope you're right, Lems." Iggy gazed back at the TV. "I'd love to meet Wyatt in person someday."
Wendy, overhearing their conversation, spoke up. "Oh! I wanna meet Wyatt in person too!" She giggled. "He's pretty cool and charming!"
Iggy glanced at the TV again.
"We'd have so much fun together if we met Wyatt and the other Crystal Koopas in person."
That night, Iggy fell asleep and was back in the white area with purple fog and crystals. Iggy looked around and smiled. This places was very pretty. He didn't see Wyatt anywhere, so Iggy called out his name.
"Wyatt!" Iggy looked around again. "Wyatt, are you here?"
A few seconds later, Wyatt appeared and approached Iggy. Iggy noticed that Wyatt's jaw was clenched and his eyes were locked on him. Iggy arched a brow as soon as Wyatt stood in front of him.
"What's wrong, Wyatt?"
Wyatt then retorted, "I'm so fed up with my parents' beliefs about the other Koopa races. Especially the Dragon Koopas." Wyatt sighed. "I want to prove to them that you guys won't cause any harm to the Crystal Koopas."
"How are you going to do that?" Iggy wondered.
Wyatt stepped closer and reached into his shell. He then pulled something out of it. It was a blue crystal shard.
"This crystal shard will work like a compass." Wyatt explained. "One of my friends can grow crystals, so I asked him to make it and set an intention to lead the person holding it to Shellshard Canyon."
Wyatt handed the shard to Iggy. Iggy looked at the shard, and back at Wyatt.
"How will it lead them there?" asked Iggy.
Wyatt replied, "The shard will glow and levitate in the direction of my kingdom, but only if you and everyone else have good intentions."
"Wow. That's incredible!"
Wyatt smiled. "Hey, I know! You should bring your family, Tiana, and even Sierra and Sky so I can meet you all in person!"
Iggy beamed and said, "I definitely will!"
Wyatt smiled also. "Great!"
The two friends continued to talk and hang out in the dream world.
Iggy slowly opened his eyes and yawned the next morning. Once his eyes were completely open, he noticed something next to his head on his pillow.
"Huh?"
Iggy grabbed his glasses and put them on. When he looked to his left, he gasped. Next to his head was the blue crystal shard. The same blue crystal shard that Wyatt gave to him in the dream world! Iggy picked up the shard and stared at it. Then, he slowly grinned and placed the shard in his shell as he sat up.
He got out of bed and made his way to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Iggy left the bathroom and started heading towards the dining hall. As he walked past the living room, Iggy froze. He peeked inside to see his family in there. When he entered the living room, his mother greeted him.
"Hi, Iggy! You must've been really tired since you overslept." Clawdia said.
Iggy grinned. "Something amazing happened in my dream last night!"
"Oh? What happened?" Clawdia wondered.
Still grinning, Iggy pulled out the crystal shard. Iggy then began to explain what Wyatt told him. He told them about Wyatt's parents. He told them about Wyatt wanting to prove that they're good Koopas. Once he was finished, Iggy glanced at the shard and looked back at his parents and siblings.
"This is great news! Now we can find and visit Shellshard Canyon and the Crystal Koopas!"
Lemmy smiled widely. "It's great!"
"I can't wait to meet Wyatt and the other Crystal Koopas!" Wendy cheered.
Iggy looked at Bowser and Clawdia. "So, when can we go?"
Bowser and Clawdia exchanged glances. Iggy's smile faltered, noticing the strange expressions on his parents faces. Their faces looked sad, regretful.
"What's wrong?" Iggy finally asked them.
After a moment of silence, Bowser sighed. "I hate to disappoint you kids, but we won't be going to find the Crystal Koopas."
That's it for now!
The Plan
Edit 12/5/25: Ok, idk how I didn't notice this hours ago or how I even did it, but I posted the beginning of this chapter twice lol oops. I'm editing it now!
So, this chapter was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I had to go to a few stores with my aunt and by the time I got back home, I had other stuff to do. But at least I got time to post it now!
Also, I don't think I mentioned this, but this story is set months before "Secret in the Spotlight".
The Koopalings and Junior stared at their parents in silence. Eventually, Iggy finally spoke up.
Slowly, Iggy asked, "Why can't we go find them?"
"I want to leave the Crystal Koopas alone." Bowser answered. "The Crystal Koopas can reach out to us when they're ready."
"But… the crystal shard." Iggy remarked.
Clawdia approached her son and gave him a smile. "I understand that you and Wyatt have gotten to know each other and you wanna meet, but we can't force his parents to let us in if they're not ready."
Iggy let out a sigh. Clawdia gave him a hug and said, "You should go eat breakfast."
Sighing once again, Iggy made his way to the dining hall. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found Tiana's name. While making his way to the dining hall, Iggy and his family weren't aware of someone watching and listening to them from outside.
Later on, the Koopalings left the castle to visit Sierra in Scalebay. Iggy smiled when they arrived in the tropical kingdom. It was just as vibrant and beautiful as the day he and his family first visited years ago. Eventually, the siblings landed in front of the castle and the guards let them inside. Sierra was walking out of another hallway and smiled brightly when she noticed the group walking inside.
"Hey guys!" Sierra greeted them. "What do you guys wanna do?"
"Sierra! Iggy has something cool!" Lemmy said.
"Oh? What's that?" She wondered.
Iggy reached into his shell. Sierra gasped when the bespectacled Koopaling pulled out a small blue crystal shard.
"It's beautiful!" Sierra exclaimed.
Iggy then explained everything that Wyatt told him and what the shard would do. Once he was finished, Sierra smiled.
"Well, since your parents said no, why don't we ask mine to meet with the Crystal Koopas."
"Yeah! Maybe they'll say yes!" Iggy replied.
Sierra guided her friends down the halls and passed a few rooms. One room that they walked by was the playroom, where they briefly saw Sierra's younger brother Hudson watching a movie. After walking by a few portraits, the group of kids arrived at the throne room. Inside, Wade and Cordelia were sitting on their thrones and looking over paperwork. Cordelia let out a sigh as she finally finished her work.
When she looked up, she saw the kids and gave them a smile.
Wade looked up from his papers and also smiled at them. "Hey there! What are you guys up to?"
Iggy stepped forward and showed the rulers of the Sea Koopas the crystal shard. He then began to explain the situation to them. When he was finished, Iggy smiled and waited for one of them to say something. Unfortunately, Iggy's smile fell when they responded.
"No, we can't do that." Wade said.
Cordelia added, "I'd rather them reach out to us. Just like Bowser."
Iggy sighed. "Alright."
The kids turned around and left the throne room.
"Well, that sucks." Sierra said as she led everyone to the entrance. "Maybe we can do something outside for the moment."
The kids walked outside after making it to the front doors of the castle. Iggy sighed again. His parents said no, and now Sierra's. Would anyone else be able to help them?
As the kids walked away from the castle, Iggy looked up at the sky. Then, he gasped.
"Iggy?" Ludwig said. "What are you looking…?"
Ludwig and the others looked up and smiled. Flying above them was their friend Sky. He was looking ahead and didn't notice them on the ground.
"Sky!" Sierra called out to him. "Hey, Sky!"
The Koopalings joined in on calling the Para Koopa prince's name. A second later, Sky glanced down and floated towards them. When his feet touched the sand, he smiled at everyone.
"Hey guys! What are you all up to?" Sky asked.
Iggy took out the crystal shard and showed it to him. Sky nodded as Iggy explained everything to him. Once Iggy was finished, Sky thought for a moment.
"Hmm. Maybe we can ask my parents." He suggested.
Wendy smiled. "Ok! They'll definitely want to go find the Crystal Koopas!"
Later that day, Sierra and the Koopalings arrived in Paraflare Peaks. This kingdom was in the sky, like other sky worlds. It was also near a large mountain. Out of all of Bowser's children, Ludwig and Morton loved visiting Paraflare Peaks. Everyone who lived here also seemed very friendly and welcoming.
The kids walked by a few Para Koopas, Paratroopas, and Lakitus as they made their way to the castle. They noticed two Paragoomba children excitedly flying out of a toy store, with their mothers flying after them. Iggy chuckled at the sight and followed everyone else. After going through a Warp Pipe, they were finally near the castle. As they got closer, they noticed Sky sitting outside of the blue and white castle.
After greeting his friends, Sky led them into the castle. Iggy looked around as they walked inside. There were a few statues down the hall. Some were of past rulers of the kingdom while others were warriors and heroes. There were also paintings and photographs of the royal family. One was a family photo of Sky and his parents.
After walking through a hallway to the right, everyone made it to the throne room. Neil and Aura were inside sitting on their thrones. The king and queen smiled as the children walked inside.
"Hello, everyone!" Aura greeted.
"Hi! Have you guys come to hang out with Sky today?" Neil asked.
Iggy inhaled deeply. "Actually, I—well, we have something to talk to you about."
Neil arched an eyebrow. "Really? What is it?"
Iggy took a step closer. Just like with the others, he explained the situation and showed the Para Koopa rulers the shard. When Iggy was finished telling them, Neil began to think. Iggy held his breath as he waited for an answer.
"Please say yes! PLEASE SAY YES!"
Finally, Neil sighed. "I'm sorry, kids. But I agree with King Bowser."
Sky flew towards his parents. "Dad, are you serious?"
Neil let out another sigh. "Yes. The Crystal Koopas should reach out to everyone when they want to."
Sky landed on the floor and frowned, but Aura gave him and the others a comforting smile.
"Don't worry about that stuff. You kids should go have some fun!"
Sky sighed. "Ok, Mom."
The kids then left the throne room. Once they made it back outside, Larry sat down on the cloud.
"What are we going to do?" He wondered.
Sighing, Ludwig replied, "If Wyatt enters our dreams tonight, we'll have to tell him that we can't come."
Sierra frowned. "Oh, he'll be so disappointed."
The group of kids walked away from the castle and headed back to the town, nearly dreading going to sleep tonight.
As much as they wanted to avoid it, the royal kids and Tiana fell asleep that night. They were all in the same dream again and were back in the white area with purple fog. Wyatt was already there, waiting for his friends. When he saw them, Wyatt grinned. The Crystal Koopa rushed over to the group.
"Hey guys! So, what day will you be coming to meet me in person?" He asked. Everyone stayed silent for a minute, making Wyatt confused and raise an eyebrow at them. "What's wrong?"
Ludwig took a step forward and rubbed his forearm. "We… we aren't coming."
Wyatt's smile fell. "W-What do you mean?"
Sky responded, "King Bowser and our parents want your parents to reach out when they're ready."
Wyatt's eyes grew wide. "B-But, they'll never be ready! I need them to understand that you guys aren't horrible Koopas!"
"I'm sorry, Wyatt." Ludwig frowned. "I wish we could do something about it."
Iggy frowned also as he looked at Wyatt's disappointed face. There had to be something they could do! He stood there and thought to himself. After staying silent the whole time, Iggy finally spoke up, getting an idea. "We can."
Wyatt blinked. "Huh? What do you mean?"
Iggy put on a determined expression. "We'll travel to Shellshard Canyon to meet you and the others."
Everyone gasped. "How are we going to do that?" Tiana wondered.
Iggy replied, "We can sneak out tomorrow night and make our way to Shellshard Canyon."
Wyatt grinned. "That's a great idea!"
Ludwig looked at his younger brother. "Hold on a minute! Iggy, this is crazy! And we all can't go!"
Iggy thought it over. Ludwig was right; their parents would immediately know something was up. After thinking some more, Iggy smiled.
"I got it! Along with Sierra and Sky, Ludwig, Wendy, Tiana, and I will go, and the rest of our siblings can stay back."
"What? But I wanna go too!" Bowser Jr. whined.
"You can come next time." Iggy replied.
Wyatt nodded and said, "Hopefully there will be a next time."
"I'm positive there will be." replied Iggy.
Sighing, Ludwig said, "I'm only coming along to watch out for you guys."
Tiana asked, "Iggy, are you sure about sneaking out?"
"Of course!" Iggy answered. "We'll be alright."
Tiana rubbed her arm. "We'll get grounded for sneaking out though…"
Iggy grinned. "It's totally worth it!"
Ludwig shook his head.
Larry snorted and said, "Hey! Your group should be called "The Shard Seekers"."
A few of the kids laughed and greed with him.
The next day, Junior and the Koopalings were siting in the game room. After softly shutting the door, Iggy sat down with his siblings and began to whisper their plan.
"Ok so, Junior, Roy, Lemmy, Morton, and Larry will stay at the castle and try to keep our journey a secret." He looked at the others. "The rest of us will use the crystal shard to find Shellshard Canyon."
"I should go!" Roy whispered back.
Morton patted his older twin's shoulder. "There will be too many Koopas if you do." He looked at Iggy. "We'll do our best to keep it a secret for as long as possible."
Iggy smiled. "Great!" He glanced at the crystal shard in his hand. "We can do this!"
I'll hopefully have more time next week to work on this story and the rest of "Jasmine meets the Marios"!
The Guiding Shard
Hi! Like I said yesterday when I updated Jasmine meets the Marios, I haven't been posting much cuz last weekend I was babysitting my nephew and around that time, along with my grandfather for other reasons we don't know about yet, my great aunt was rushed to the hospital because she had a stroke and we found out she also has leukemia. And on Sunday, my nephew gave us a virus, so I really didn't feel like doing anything. But I have some energy today!
Later that day, the Koopalings were on a video call with Jasmine, Kacey, Yasmine, and Stacey, a few girls they knew from the Mushroom Kingdom. A few of the Koopalings were also dating these girls. For example, Kacey is Roy's girlfriend. Some Koopas were a little confused and angry with four of their princes, especially Ludwig, dating human girls. But most were very supportive and happy for them.
The Koopalings were currently telling the girls about their mission. Once they were finished, all four girls gasped.
"Wow! That's so cool!" Stacey, the short-haired brunette, exclaimed.
Jasmine, the girl in blue, spoke up. "Do you need us to come along?"
Ludwig shook his head. "As much as we'd want you girls with us, this is something that only Koopas can handle."
Jasmine smiled and said, "Alright. Be careful, you guys."
That night, Iggy and his group went to their rooms after brushing their teeth and washing their faces. They wanted to wait until everyone in the castle was fast asleep before putting Iggy's plan into action. Iggy sat on his bed and picked up his phone. He smiled when he immediately saw Tiana's name.
"Is your family asleep?" He texted her.
"Yes." Tiana replied back. "My mom's snoring so loud."
Iggy chuckled and replied, "We'll be leaving the castle shortly."
He put his phone away and got to his feet. Iggy opened his bedroom door to see Ludwig and Wendy opening their doors at the same time. They peered down the corridor to make sure no guards were walking around. Once the coast was clear, they quietly walked out of their rooms and down the hall, but they quickly hid behind a wall. Two Koopa Troopa guards were walking by.
Once they were out of sight, the three Koopalings made their way down that hall swiftly but silently.
"We can do this." Iggy thought to himself.
They walked down the stairs and passed another hallway. At last, the three arrived at the front doors of the castle.
Iggy turned to face his siblings and signed, "We need to look out for the guards outside."
Iggy quietly and slowly opened the doors. Then, when he peeked outside, he gasped.
"What's wrong?" Wendy whispered.
"The guards are asleep." Iggy replied.
"Wha—" Ludwig began to scream, but covered his mouth.
The three quietly walked outside, glancing at the sleeping Koopa Troopa and Hammer Bro. Ludwig suppressed a growl as he looked away from them.
"They're supposed to be watching the castle, not sleeping!" He muttered.
"We can deal with them later." Wendy said.
As they walked away from the castle, they saw Tiana walking towards them. She and Iggy kissed as Sky arrived with Sierra holding onto him. The group looked at each other for a second before Iggy spoke up. "Is everyone ready?"
After the others said yes, Iggy pulled out the crystal shard.
"So, how do we use that?" Tiana asked.
Iggy replied, "Wyatt said it'll glow and lead us in the direction of Shellshard Canyon, but only if we have good intentions."
Iggy looked at the blue shard, but nothing happened. Was Wyatt telling the truth? Would this shard actually take them to the Crystal Koopas? Before the others could voice their opinions, they gasped. The dark blue shard began to glow a light blue and began to levitate in midair. It moved in front of them, waiting for everyone to follow it.
"Whoa! It's floating!" Tiana remarked.
Sky chuckled. "Maybe we should call it 'The Guiding Shard',"
The group began to follow the shard through the Koopa Kingdom. Tiana held Iggy's hand as they walked, making him blush a little. As they walked, a thought occurred to her.
"Hey. What do we do if the shard flies off or faster than us?" She wondered.
"Hmm. Maybe…" Iggy looked at the shard and said, "hey! Slow down for a second!"
Surprising everyone, the shard listened and stopped.
Sierra softly gasped. "That's amazing! The shard can listen to us!"
Iggy smiled and looked at the shard again. "Alright. You can go on."
The shard continued to lead them. They eventually left the Koopa Kingdom. The shard turned right and they followed.
Wendy asked, "Where's the shard taking us?"
Ludwig looked around the area. "Huh. It looks familiar."
As they got closer, they saw a few islands up ahead.
Ludwig gasped. "It's Pipe Land! Man, I can't remember the last time I was here!"
The kids' eyes widened when they saw a body of water up ahead.
"Wait a second!" Wendy said. "How are we going to get across the water? We don't have a boat!"
"I could always carry you guys over one by one." Sky suggested.
"Nah, we can't have you flying back and forth, Sky." Iggy replied.
Sierra then said, "Well, I could swim over to the islands and find some materials to make a raft."
Ludwig smiled and replied, "That could work."
When they got closer to the water, Iggy told the guiding shard to stop for a moment. The Sea Koopa princess then dived into the water. The others watched as Sierra swam over to the islands.
"I guess we should just wait until Sierra builds the raft." Iggy said.
Then, the guiding shard began to glow brighter.
"Huh? What's happening?" Iggy wondered.
After that, the shard made a solid path across the water. The others gasped.
Sky flapped his wings. "That's incredible!"
They walked across the path until they reached the island. Sierra walked over carrying logs and poles. She gasped and dropped everything when she saw her friends stepping off of the solid path.
Sierra laughed. "I swam over here for nothing!"
Iggy giggled. "I guess the guiding shard can help us out with different things."
"At least I got to swim again." Sierra said.
Iggy responded, "Maybe we'll be near more water so you can swim even more!"
The kids began to jump through the pipes in Pipe Land. After going through the pipes, the shard made another path for them and they walked across. Now, they were making their way to Ice Land.
That's it for now!
Confrontation
Here's a new chapter :)
The cold air swept across Ice Land, one of the largest worlds in the Mushroom World. Everyone shivered as they walked through the beautiful, but chilly land. Tiana blew into her hands for warmth. Noticing the two girls next to him shivering, Sky wrapped his wings around Sierra and Wendy, keeping them warm. Sierra looked up at her friend with a smile on her face.
"Thanks, Sky."
"Yeah! Thanks, Sky!" Wendy said.
Sky gave the two girls a smile in return. "No problem."
The guiding shard turned right and they followed it. Iggy shivered again as the air hit them. Seriously. How in the world does Lemmy like places like this? Even though the snow was beautiful, Iggy wasn't sure if he liked the cold as much as his older brother.
After letting out a yawn, Wendy asked, "Iggy, when we get out of Ice Land, can we find a spot to rest for a few hours?"
Iggy opened his mouth to respond, but before he did, he noticed the shard's color shift. Instead of blue, the shard was now red.
"Huh?" Iggy arched an eyebrow. "Why did it change color?"
Then, the kids heard laughter from behind and a voice ask, "Tired already? We thought you might slow down eventually."
The three Koopalings gasped.
Ludwig and the others quickly turned around. "That voice… it can't be!"
Then, a second later, the group of kids gasped again as they saw the two Toad clones and their minions reveal themselves.
"You were following us?!" Iggy cried out.
"What are you idiots doing?" Ludwig asked.
Jade giggled. "We're on our way to Shellshard Canyon, but we're letting you kids do the hard part."
"How do you know about Shellshard Canyon?" Wendy asked them.
Justin replied, "We had our minions spy on you guys."
Iggy gave the two Toads a fierce look. "You're not gonna invade Shellshard Canyon! The Crystal Koopas already don't trust other Koopas, why would they like you guys?"
Justin and Jade snapped their fingers as they looked at their minion. "Attack!"
The royal Koopa children pulled out their wands.
Iggy looked over at his girlfriend. "Tiana. Stay close to me."
Tiana nodded, and the Goombas rushed over to them. The kids stomped on each one, quickly stopping them. They dodged the hammers that the Hammer Bros. threw at them and spat fireballs at them. The kids used their wands to shoot energy blasts, rings, and gusts of wind at their enemies.
A few of the minions flew far away thanks to Sky's wind. Justin and Jade were hit by Tiana's fireballs. As they stood up, Wendy shot two rings at the Toads, knocking them back down. Sierra shot bubbles out of her wand, trapping a few Koopa Troopas inside. Eventually, the Toad clones and their minions fell to the ground, weak and in pain.
Justin raised his head slowly. "We'll get to the Crystal Koopas first!"
Glaring at him, Iggy said, "You won't."
The kids turned around and swiftly left the area.
That's it for now!
The Next Morning
Here's chapter 16! Also, today is my grandmother's birthday, so happy birthday to her :D
After some time, the shard led the kids to a large forest with thorny vines and twisted trees. They walked through it, but the kids were growing more tired with each step they took.
"Iggy," Wendy spoke up. "can we please sleep for a bit?"
Iggy sighed. "Yes." He looked at the crystal shard. "Hey, shard, can you stop for a moment?"
The guiding shard stopped floating and landed in Iggy's hand. After taking out their sleeping bags, everyone, except for Iggy, lay on the ground.
"We shouldn't make a fire. Just in case." Ludwig remarked.
Iggy yawned as he sat against a tree. Tiana sat up and looked at him.
"Aren't you going to lay down, Iggy?" She asked.
Iggy responded, "I wanna make sure Justin and the others don't come by."
Ludwig sat up. "Justin and Jade are most likely still in pain after losing the battle, plus we aren't making a fire that they'd end up seeing."
"Right." Wendy said. "Besides, you don't wanna be tired when you meet Wyatt and the others for the first time."
Iggy let out a sigh. "You're right."
He pulled out his sleeping bag and placed it next to Ludwig. He lay down and slowly closed his eyes.
The sun rose a few hours later in the Koopa Kingdom. Everyone in Castle Koopa began to wake up and the servants prepared to do their jobs. Bowser Jr and the remaining Koopalings woke up in their own rooms and got ready for the day. Then, they opened their bedroom doors and walked into the hall. Junior yawned as he looked at his older brothers.
The boys said good morning to each other and to a few passing servants. After making sure they were out of earshot, Larry whispered to the others.
"Alright! Remember the plan. We can't let Mom and Dad know about the others."
The kids arrived in the dining hall where their parents were waiting. Clawdia looked at their sons and gave them a smile.
"Good morning, boys!" She greeted.
"Good morning…" The boys said as they took their seats.
Bowser looked at their five present kids. "Where are the others?"
"Oh, they're still asleep." Larry explained. "Ludwig and Iggy have been up all night working."
Clawdia frowned. "Oh, my poor babies. They really shouldn't stay up so late."
The chefs entered the dining hall, carrying plates filled with pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. After placing the food in front of the royal Koopas, the chefs then poured everyone some orange juice. The chefs bowed and left the dining hall. Everyone then began to eat their breakfast.
The other three Koopalings and their friends slowly woke up and sat up in their sleeping bags. Wendy yawned and stretched her arms. As Sky stretched his arms and wings, his stomach began to growl loudly. The other kids laughed and his cheeks turned pink.
"I actually made us all breakfast burritos before I left the castle." Sierra stated.
Sierra pulled out the handheld meals along with some water bottles. They thanked her after taking one. After heating up their breakfast burritos with their fire breath, everyone began to eat.
Sky swallowed a bite of his burrito and said, "I still can't believe that the Crystal Koopas are still around!"
Iggy giggled. "It's great!" He took a bite of his burrito and swallowed before speaking again. "I can't wait to meet Wyatt in person!"
"Me neither!" Wendy replied.
Tiana gazed at her food. "I wonder how Wyatt's parents will react to us being in their kingdom."
"I wonder that too." Ludwig replied.
Sky took a sip of his water. "Hopefully they won't be too freaked out."
A few minutes later, everyone finished their breakfast burritos and drank the rest of their water. After putting away their sleeping bags, Iggy let out a breath and looked at the crystal shard that he picked up.
"Alright. We're ready to continue."
The shard floated and moved forward. Everyone followed it through the forest.
I'll try to work on the next chapter tomorrow :D
Stalling
Hello! Here's a new chapter :D Also, today is my little cousin's birthday, so happy birthday to him!
Later on, Bowser and Clawdia were sitting in the throne room looking through a few papers that Kamek gave them. Kamek turned to leave, but Bowser stopped him.
"Hey, Kamek. Have Iggy, Wendy, and Ludwig gotten up yet?"
"I believe they haven't, sir." Kamek answered.
Clawdia frowned as Kamek turned around and left. "I'm starting to get worried."
"They're probably fine." Bowser reassured her.
"Maybe." Clawdia moved a strand of pink hair out of her face. "I mean, I suppose Iggy and Ludwig have slept in later a few times. But Wendy? Something doesn't feel right…"
In the game room, the rest of the kids were watching a cartoon for younger kids. Roy grumbled and looked away from the TV.
"I don't wanna watch a baby show…"
Lemmy, sitting on the floor next to Bowser Jr, turned around to look at his younger brother. "Hey! Even though it's a show for little kids, I enjoy it!"
Roy snorted. "That's because you act immature, Lems."
Pouting, Lemmy replied, "I may act childish a lot, but I know when to be serious!"
Larry shook his head as his older brothers began to argue. He grabbed the Nintendo Switch and turned it on. Larry clicked on the eshop to look for interesting games to try out. The kids then heard footsteps approaching the room. When they looked over at the entryway, they kids tensed up. Clawdia was standing there.
"Boys, have your siblings gotten up yet?" She asked them.
"They're still asleep." Lemmy answered.
Morton added, "They're probably really exhausted."
Larry's eyes widened when he heard his mother say, "I'm gonna go check on them."
He dropped the Nintendo Switch and hurried over to Clawdia.
"You shouldn't!"
Clawdia arched an eyebrow. "Why not?"
"We should let them rest! They'll get up soon." Larry responded.
Sighing, Clawdia remarked, "I'm giving them an hour, and then I'm going to check on them."
As Clawdia walked away, Larry gulped and faced his brothers.
"What are we going to do?" Lemmy asked.
Then, Lemmy's phone began to ring. Pulling it out, he gasped softly at who was calling him.
"It's Iggy!" Lemmy answered the call. "Hello?"
"Lemmy, are Mom and Dad worrying about us?" Iggy asked.
"Mom's getting really worried." Lemmy answered.
Tiana frowned after hearing that. Then, she gasped.
"What's wrong, Tia?" Iggy wondered.
Tiana reached into her shell and took out her ringing phone. "My mom is calling! Should I answer it?"
"No! Don't!" Iggy cried out.
Tiana whimpered as she stared at her phone screen. Eventually, her mother was sent to voicemail.
Tiana put her phone back inside of her shell. "She's gonna call again."
Morton and the others walked over to Lemmy. Morton asked, "Where are you guys exactly?"
"We're currently still walking through the forest." Iggy replied. He then gasped. "Oh crap! We also have a problem!"
"What is it?" Junior asked.
Wendy replied, "Justin and Jade are following us."
The rest of her siblings gasped.
Ludwig said, "We slowed them down last night, but they're probably getting close."
"Oh no!" Lemmy exclaimed. "I hope they don't get to Wyatt and the others!"
"We'll make sure that they don't." Iggy replied. "Just keep stalling for us."
Lemmy squirmed and said, "It's gonna be pretty hard…"
Iggy gave Lemmy smile. "I know you guys can do it!"
"We'll try." Larry said.
After that, Lemmy and Iggy hung up.
I'll try to work on the next chapter tomorrow if I have time!
The Cave That Changed Them
Hello everyone! I hope you all like this chapter!
After a few more minutes of walking through the vast forest, Iggy and the others finally made it out. The guiding shard turned right and everyone followed it like before. Iggy glanced up at the sky as they walked. Instead of blue, it was looking a little gray. He shrugged it off and followed the shard. Eventually, the group got closer to a green Warp Pipe.
The shard began to fly faster towards the pipe and the kids ran to catch up with it.
"I guess the shard wants us to go through the pipe." Iggy said as he ran.
Once they made it to the pipe, Iggy gently took the guiding shard in his hand. He then leaped inside of the pipe. The others followed behind him one by one. On the other side, the group was standing on a cliff. The shard levitated and flew out of Iggy's hand, turning left. Once again, the kids followed it.
Sky looked around and smiled. "This view is amazing!"
Sierra looked down at the body of water down below near the sand.
"I really wanna dive into the water!" She said. "It looks so cool and beautiful!"
Iggy chuckled and said, "I'm sure you'll be able to swim soon."
As they walked, Ludwig felt something wet hit the top of his head.
"Huh?"
Ludwig looked up and saw a raindrop falling down. Then, he saw another. And another. Eventually, it began to rain pretty hard.
"Oh no!" Wendy whined. "I wish I brought an umbrella!"
Sky said, "We need to find shelter until the rain stops!"
Just then, the guiding shard began to glow brighter, making Iggy gasp. The shard moved ahead a little faster. The group began to run after it.
"Where's the crystal taking us?" Wendy wondered.
"I have no idea." Iggy replied.
Ludwig said, "Hopefully somewhere dry."
The guiding shard continued to glow brighter as it flew towards a cave.
Ludwig smiled. "I was right!"
As they got closer, the kids ran inside of the cave.
"We should stay inside until the rain stops." Ludwig said.
Wendy removed her bow to wring it dry. As she put it back on, she turned around to look at the inside of the cave. Then, she let out a loud gasp. The light from the guiding shard showed beautiful crystals in many different sizes and colors in the back of the cave. The others gasped as well when they turned around to see what Wendy was looking at. Wendy walked closer to the crystals.
She smiled as she gently touched a pink crystal. "I'm glad the shard brought us here!"
A moment later, Tiana gasped. Iggy turned to face her.
"Tiana? What's wrong?" He asked.
Tiana looked at the three present Koopalings. "Do you guys remember what King Bowser read in that scroll?" She took a step closer. "The original Crystal Koopas were Dragon Koopas who were exploring, but they needed shelter from a storm."
As Wendy's eyes grew wide, she said, "And they hid in a cave with crystals…"
Iggy added, "They absorbed the raw crystal magic inside."
Gasping, Ludwig asked, "Is this… the cave?"
Sierra grinned. "Maybe it is."
Sky chuckled. "Maybe that's why the shard was glowing brighter in this area."
Iggy also chuckled. "I guess the guiding shard wanted to show us the cave!"
Everyone sat down and listened to the rain pouring outside. Iggy looked at the shard and smiled.
"I can't believe we're actually sitting in the cave that created the Crystal Koopas!"
Sierra remarked, "I know right? It's incredible!"
Wendy added, "It could be a sign that we're getting closer!"
"Hopefully we are." Iggy said.
Sierra reached into her shell and took out her phone. "We should take a picture in front of the crystals!"
"Yeah!" Wendy cheered.
"You're right!" Iggy said. "Especially since the shard is giving us some light."
Everyone got to their feet and approached the crystals. Everyone smiled and Sierra took their photo.
I'll try to work on the next chapter one day next week if I can
The Truth Comes Out
Hi! I had to stop a few times, but I kinda had time to write today!
The rain stopped pouring twenty minutes later. Everyone walked out of the cave to continue their journey. Iggy turned his head and took one more look at the cave with a small smile. After that, he followed the guiding shard. The kids climbed down the cliff and were now standing on the small beach, facing the big ocean where the shard was floating towards.
Squealing in delight, Sierra dove into the crystal-clear blue water. The shard created another solid platform for the others to walk across. The rest of the kids walked across the platform while Sierra swam next to them.
Clawdia was sitting in the dining hall drinking some tea. After taking her final sip, Clawdia smiled and stood up from the table. After leaving the dining hall, Clawdia walked down the hall and turned right. As she walked down another hall, she walked by many different rooms. One of the rooms was the game room, where the rest of the kids were still hanging out. Noticing his mother walking by, Lemmy called out to her.
"Mom! What are you doing?"
Clawdia stopped in her tracks. "I'm heading upstairs to wake up Iggy, Ludwig, and Wendy!"
His eyes growing wide, Lemmy stood up and ran into the hallway, catching up with his mother.
"I-I'm sure they're fine." He told her.
Clawdia smiled at him. "I just want to check on them."
Lemmy whimpered as Clawdia made her way up the stairs, following close behind her. Clawdia stood in front of Ludwig's bedroom door and knocked on it.
"Lulu? Are you awake, sweetie?" She didn't get a response, so Clawdia knocked again. "Ludwig?"
Still no reply. Clawdia placed her hand on the doorknob and gently opened the door. When she walked inside, she found the room empty.
"Huh. Where could he have went?" She wondered.
She left Ludwig's room and made her way to Iggy's door, with Lemmy following closely behind her. Clawdia knocked on the door. "Iggy?"
When she opened the door, Clawdia gasped. Iggy was nowhere inside. Rushing out of Iggy's room, Clawdia made her way down the hall and burst into Wendy's room. Just like the other two, Wendy was nowhere inside. Clawdia's heart raced as she looked around the hallway.
"Where are they!?" She wondered. Her eyes landed on the second oldest. "Do you know where your siblings are?"
Lemmy hesitated, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead. Frowning, Clawdia quickly grabbed Lemmy and carried the smallest Koopaling downstairs.
"No! Mom! Wait!" Lemmy tried to protest, but Clawdia kept going.
After walking down the hall again, Clawdia stormed inside the game room. Junior and the other three Koopalings raised their heads when they heard her. She placed Lemmy on the floor and he ran over to his brothers. After taking a step closer to them, Clawdia put her hands on her hips.
Clawdia looked at her children and said, "Alright. Where are they? I know you know."
Larry smiled innocently at their mother. "I don't know what you're talking about, Mom."
Clawdia glared at him. "Don't give me that! Where are your siblings?"
The kids remained silent.
"Hm." Clawdia walked over to Bowser Jr. and crouched down in front of him. "Junior, do you know where your siblings are?"
"Uh… um…"
The other Koopalings' hearts pounded in their chests. Clawdia gave her youngest son a warm smile.
"You're not in trouble, sweetheart. I just need to know if your brothers and sister are safe."
Two minutes went by and everyone was silent. Then, Bowser Jr, trembling a little, finally blurted it out.
"Iggy, Ludwig, and Wendy left with Tiana, Sierra, and Sky last night to find the Crystal Koopas!"
Clawdia covered her mouth as she gasped. Then, she ran out of the game room. Roy looked at his baby brother and frowned.
"Nice going."
Pouting, Junior replied, "I tried my best!"
Clawdia ran as fast as she could through the halls of the castle. She had to find Bowser. She needed to find Bowser ASAP! Her mind then went to the group of missing kids. Where were they? Were they alright?
Oh man. Are the other parents aware that their children are gone?
Turning to the left, Clawdia saw her husband walking out of the throne room. The Koopa Queen ran faster until she caught up with Bowser. He turned around when he heard her running and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Clawdia? What's the matter?" He asked.
Before she could speak, Tiana's, Sky's, and Sierra's parents dashed down the corridor. Tyra hurried over to her king and queen and caught her breath.
"Your Majesties!" Tyra inhaled deeply. "Have you seen Tiana? She's missing!" Tyra's arms began to tremble. "When I woke up and went to her room to get her up, she wasn't there!"
"Sky was nowhere in our castle!" Neil exclaimed.
Cordelia added, "Sierra wasn't in our castle either!"
Bowser blinked. "Oh wow. I wonder where they've gone to."
"That's what I was going to tell you!" Clawdia remarked. She looked at everyone. "The kids snuck out and went to look for the Crystal Koopas!"
The others gasped. "They could get hurt out there!" Aura said.
Tony turned to face Clawdia. "Queen Clawdia, do you know where the kids are exactly?"
"I'm not sure." Clawdia replied.
Tyra whimpered. "I hope they're alright…"
Then, a minute later, Clawdia gasped. "I have an idea!" She turned around. "Follow me!"
Idk if I'll have time to work on the next chapter tomorrow. If I don't, then I'll post it another day :)
Busted
Hi. So, I'm not in the best mood today cuz my great aunt passed away. But I still wanted to post a new chapter. Hope you all enjoy it.
The group continued to walk across the path while Sierra swam beside them. As he looked ahead, Iggy squinted his eyes.
"Hey, guys! We're getting close to land!" Iggy looked more closely. "It looks like… a desert."
Sierra frowned. "It's gonna be so hot…"
Giving the Sea Koopa smile, Wendy remarked, "Maybe we won't be in the desert for long."
"Hopefully…"
After that, Sierra resumed swimming. It didn't take long for them to arrive at the desert. The shard continued to float straight and the kids followed. Iggy smiled to himself.
"I wonder if we're getting closer."
Bowser and the other parents followed Clawdia down a hallway. Neil flew over to her and glanced at the pink-haired Koopa.
"Where are we going, Clawdia?" He asked her.
"To someone who can help us." Clawdia answered.
Neil raised an eyebrow, but he and the others continued to follow her. Eventually, the group of parents arrived at a brown door and Clawdia gently knocked on it.
"One moment!" A voice said from the other side of the door.
A minute later, the door opened and everyone saw Bowser's Magikoopa advisor, Kamek, on the other side. Kamek looked at everyone with a smile.
"Hello! Can I help you all with anything?" He asked.
Clawdia nodded. "Yes. May we come in, Kamek?"
"Of course, Your Majesty."
After everyone walked inside Kamek's room, Clawdia began to explain the situation to him.
When she was finished, Clawdia asked him, "Can you figure out where the kids are, Kamek?"
Kamek approached his table and pulled out a chair. "Yes." He took a seat in front of the crystal ball.
The Magikoopa placed both hands on the crystal ball's smooth surface. He murmured a word that the others couldn't make out exactly (Bowser shrugged it off and assumed that Kamek said "activate" or something weird) and the crystal ball began to glow brightly. As everyone got used to the bright light, Kamek looked into the crystal ball.
"Which child's name should I say, my Queen?" Kamek asked.
Clawdia retorted, "Iggy's. I'm pretty sure he's the one who convinced the others to sneak out."
Kamek nodded. He then took a deep breath. "Show me where Prince Iggy Koopa is located."
A moment later, the crystal ball showed an image of Iggy and the rest of the kids strolling through the desert.
Cordelia gasped. "Oh my gosh! Are they alright?"
Wade took a closer look. "They look fine, but tired."
Tyra frowned as she looked at Tiana. "I can't believe this."
Clawdia looked at the Magikoopa. "Kamek? Would you kindly teleport us to their location?"
"Yes, but, what about the others?" Kamek asked.
Tony said, "Jenny is with her aunt."
"And one of our guards is keeping an eye on Hudson." Wade replied.
Clawdia asked, "Kamek, can you keep an eye on Lemmy and the others?"
Kamek nodded and picked up his wand. After casting a spell, the group of parents were teleported out of his room.
The kids sighed and fanned themselves as they continued walking through the desert.
"I really wish I had more water bottles." Sierra said.
"Hopefully the shard will take us somewhere cooler." Ludwig replied.
The kids kept walking and turned right.
"Maybe we're getting closer." Iggy said.
Then, all of the kids froze in their tracks after hearing a voice behind them say, "Ahem!"
"Shard, stop for a moment." Iggy whispered, but loud enough for the guiding shard to hear.
The shard came to a halt and gently fell into Iggy's hand. When they slowly turned around, the kids saw their parents standing behind them. Their eyes grew wide and they began to talk all at once.
"I was only watching out for them!" Ludwig exclaimed.
"I-I'm so sorry!" Tiana cried out.
Iggy, Wendy, Sierra, and Sky tried to explain themselves.
Bowser roared loudly and said, "Save it! I can't believe you kids snuck out! Normally, I'd be proud of my kids being sneaky. But this!?"
Iggy tried to speak, but Clawdia cut him off.
"This is dangerous!"
Bowser said, "You could've potentially started another war!"
Wade spoke up. "You were supposed to respect and follow our orders!"
Even though they trembled and their hearts were racing, the kids chose to stand their ground.
Iggy looked at Bowser. "We're not running off just for fun, Dad!" Iggy protested, clutching the glowing shard. "Wyatt needs our help! They all do. The Crystal Koopas aren't hiding because they want to - they're hiding because of what our ancestors did!"
The parents then gasped, seeing the glowing shard in Iggy's hand.
"We have to go," Iggy declared. "not just to heal the wounds of the past, but to warn them."
Tyra arched an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Looking at the adults, Iggy responded, "Justin, Jade, and their minions are following us." After they gasped, Iggy added, "We need to warn them about the possible attack." Iggy sighed. "If we turn back now, our enemies could find Shellshard Canyon first and enslave the Crystal Koopas."
The parents were silent. Gradually, they realized that the kids were already in it. They're the ones who can reach the Crystal Koopas safely, and turning back now would mean abandoning an entire race.
At last, Bowser spoke up and said, "You kids won't be doing this alone anymore."
The group of kids grinned and cheered.
Then, everyone froze when they heard a feminine voice laughing and saw the shard glowing red once again. After that, Justin, Jade, and their minions reappeared behind everyone.
I'll try to work on the next chapter tomorrow!
Fighting in the Desert
Here's a new chapter. Sorry this chapter isn't as long
Bowser growled as he stared at the Toad clones and his former minions. He took a step forward and said, "Go back to your fortress!"
After laughing, the two Toads looked at the Koopa King and replied, "No."
Tony stood in front of Tyra and Tiana.
"We will find the Crystal Koopas and their lost kingdom." Justin remarked.
Jade smirked and added, "And once we get there, we'll rule over them!"
The female Toad began to walk past the group of Koopas, but Clawdia grabbed her.
"Hey! Put me down!" Jade screamed.
She attempted to escape Clawdia's hold, but the Koopa Queen dropped her, making her fall to the ground.
Clawdia took out her wand. "You'll never get to the Crystal Koopas. Not while we're here."
The royal children pulled out their wands as well. A minute later, Justin and Jade's minions rushed over to the group of Koopas. Sky and his parents blew gusts of wind at the enemies, making them fly away. Sierra and her parents trapped a few Koopa Paratroopas inside of bubbles. Tiana and her parents helped Bowser and the others by spitting out fireballs at a few Goombas and Koopa Troopas.
Justin landed on Bowser's head, making him wince. Iggy and Ludwig retreated into their shells and whirled around the area, knocking down some Hammer Bros and Jade. A Paragoomba was trapped inside one of Sierra's bubbles. Wendy and Clawdia fired rings at their enemies. Justin was hit by a ring, but was still standing.
Jade was hit by a few energy blasts. Eventually, she fell to the ground.
"Jade!"
Justin hurried over to his partner. He tried to help her up, but Bowser shot a stream of fire at them. Justin and Jade, along with a few minions nearby, coughed. After coughing, Justin fell to the ground.
Bowser looked at the others. "They should be done for awhile." He then looked at Iggy. "Alright, son. Lead the way."
Iggy nodded and glanced at the shard in his hand. "Alright. We're ready to continue."
The shard glowed blue again and floated straight ahead, with the Koopas following it. As they walked away, Justin grumbled, "Stupid Koopas…"
While following the shard, the kids told their parents everything they saw, especially the cave. Bowser and Clawdia gasped after learning about the cave.
Bowser asked, "Are you serious?"
"Yep!" Sierra pulled out her phone and went to the photo they took inside the cave before, showing the parents.
The parents gasped once more as they marveled at the photo in amazement. The guiding shard turned left and they followed it. Tyra looked at the shard and smiled.
"It looks gorgeous!" She said.
Wendy giggled. "It really is!"
Clawdia glanced at her children and stated, "Once we go home after warning the Crystal Koopas, you kids are grounded."
The other parents nodded in agreement, making all of the kids groan.
I'll try to post the next chapter tomorrow :)
The Wall
Hello! I'm back with another chapter :D
The group of Koopas continued to walk through the desert. A few of them fanned themselves as they felt the heat.
"I wonder if we're getting closer." Tiana remarked.
Iggy glanced back at everyone. When his eyes landed on Bowser, he noticed a few beads of sweat on his father's face. Iggy wasn't sure if it was because of the heat or if… Bowser was nervous? He'd be shocked if it was the latter; Bowser rarely felt nervous!
"Shard, stop for a moment." said Iggy.
The shard fell into Iggy's hand and he looked at Bowser again.
"Dad, are you alright?" He asked.
Bowser quickly wiped the sweat off of his forehead. "I'm fine."
Clawdia furrowed her brow. "Bowser, I can tell you're not."
Sighing, Bowser said, "I… I'm just worried about the rulers of the Crystal Koopas." Bowser wiped away more sweat. "I dunno how they'll react to us."
"Me too." Tiana said.
Iggy looked at everyone. "Guys, we should stay positive!" He gave them a smile. "The King and Queen will probably be surprised, but I don't think they'll be too upset."
Bowser looked at his son. "Remember Iggy, the Shellsplit was horrible and lives were lost. We don't know how the Crystal Koopas will react to us, especially us Dragon Koopas."
Iggy let out a sigh. "I know." Then, he smiled. "But we still have to warn the Crystal Koopas about Justin and Jade. Hopefully it'll go smoothly."
Clawdia gave Iggy a small smile. "I hope you're right."
Iggy smiled and looked at the guiding shard. "Alright, shard. We're ready to continue."
The shard levitated and flew straight ahead, with everyone following behind it.
After several minutes, the Koopas finally make it out of the desert. They soon arrive in a rocky valley, still feeling some heat from the sun, but not as bad. The guiding shard turned right and the others followed close behind. Everyone looked around the valley, feeling a cool breeze on their scaly skin. Just then, the guiding shard began to glow brighter.
"Huh? Why is it glowing so much now?" Clawdia wondered.
"I'm not sure." Iggy replied.
The shard then began to fly a littler faster.
"Hey! Hold on!" Iggy called out as they all ran to catch up with the crystal shard.
The shard slowed down slightly, but it still flew fast. Iggy and the others ran as fast as they could. Where was the guiding shard taking them this time?
A low humming sound came out of the shard, catching everyone's attention.
"It never made that sound before!" Iggy exclaimed.
They continued walking straight, following the brightly glowing shard. Eventually, the group saw a large rocky wall up ahead. The guiding shard started to glow even brighter than before. A few of the kids shielded their eyes from the intense blue light. As they walked closer to the wall, the light dimmed and the shard fell into Iggy's hand.
Everyone stared at the large wall in confusion.
"I don't understand…" Iggy said.
"Did the shard take us the wrong way?" Wendy wondered.
Iggy shook his head. "Wyatt told me that the shard would lead us to Shellshard Canyon."
"Then, why are we standing in front of a wall?" Tiana asked.
Then, everyone let out a gasp when they heard a voice say, "You're at the right place."
Everyone turned to their right to see two Koopas walking out from behind a large rock. Both Koopas were wearing hooded cloaks.
"That voice…" Iggy took a step closer. "Wyatt?"
The first Koopa pulled off their hood to reveal a familiar Koopa with coily periwinkle blue hair. Grinning, Iggy rushed over to the Crystal Koopa and the two friends hugged.
"It's great to finally see you in person!" Iggy remarked.
Wyatt chuckled. "Same here!"
The two pulled away and Iggy looked at the other hooded Koopa. Before he could say anything, the Koopa pulled off their hood. Iggy saw a girl with light blue hair, red eyes, and a white plastron and muzzle.
The girl smiled. "Hello."
"Hi." Iggy said. "What's your name?"
The girl replied, "I'm Diamond. Wyatt's sister."
Iggy gasped. "You're Diamond? Wyatt's told me so much about you!"
The bespectacled Koopaling led the two Crystal Koopas to the adults.
"Guys, this is Wyatt and Diamond Kooperman, the prince and princess of the Crystal Koopas!"
Wyatt bowed and Diamond curtsied.
"Hello." Wyatt greeted.
"It's very nice to meet you all!" Diamond said.
Wendy approached them. "It's so nice to finally meet you guys in person!"
"Yeah!" Wyatt took Wendy's hand and kissed it. "You're even lovelier in person."
Wendy's cheeks turned pink and she giggled. Bowser then cleared his throat.
"Iggy, don't forget the other reason why we're here."
Iggy gasped. "Right!" Iggy placed his hands on Wyatt's shoulders. "We have to talk to your parents and warn them about our enemies!"
Wendy added, "We've been followed and they're looking for Shellshard Canyon!"
"We slowed them down again," Ludwig said. "but they'll probably be on their way."
Much to their surprise, the two Crystal Koopas chuckled.
"We have nothing to worry about." Wyatt remarked. "Shellshard Canyon is hidden very well!"
Diamond gestured toward the rocky wall. "This is a barrier."
Wyatt added, "Us Crystal Koopas can walk through it whenever we want, but everyone else can't." He smiled. "Since you guys have that crystal shard, you're able to walk through the wall."
"Really?" Iggy asked.
Wyatt and Diamond both nodded. Diamond then walked closer to the rocky wall. She looked around to make sure no one else was around. Then, she took one step, and her body went through the wall. The other Koopas gasped when they saw this. Wyatt followed close behind her.
"Come on, guys!" Wyatt said to them.
One by one, each Koopa walked through the wall.
That's it for now! And since I won't be active tomorrow, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate it :D
Shellshard Canyon
Hi! I hope you all had a great Christmas yesterday! Here's the next chapter!
Everyone gasped once they were on the other side of the wall. They've made it. After so much walking and fighting clones, the Koopas finally made it to Shellshard Canyon. This hidden kingdom looked so amazing! They were currently standing in a village, where a few Crystal Koopas were outside. Some were playing while others were working.
The homes in the village looked… pretty similar to the ones in the other Koopa Kingdoms actually. Especially the ones in Koopa Town. They varied in size and color. But the village still seemed pretty and inviting. It even had a few crystals growing out of the ground. Wendy smiled as she looked around.
"Wow! This village is beautiful!" She exclaimed.
Wyatt gave her a smile. "Thanks!"
"This is Stonelight Village!" Diamond said.
A few Crystal Koopas gasped when they noticed the others. As they walked by, a few of them whispered to each other. Bowser began to sweat again and wiped his forehead. The Koopa King took a deep breath to calm himself. Wyatt noticed this and spoke up.
"Everything will be alright, sir."
Bowser looked at the Crystal Koopa Prince. "I dunno about that, kid."
Sierra waved to a female Crystal Koopa with short brown hair. Unfortunately, the Crystal Koopa flinched at her. Sierra frowned slightly, but she continued to follow everyone. After walking past a market, everyone went through a Warp Pipe. When they made it out on the other side, the others gasped.
They were now in a large city. More Crystal Koopas were out and about in this area. Wendy and Clawdia gasped as they looked around at the buildings. Some of the buildings were made out of bricks while others were made out of crystals. It kinda reminded them of the buildings in the Crystal Kingdom. They looked gorgeous!
"Welcome to Selenite Haven!" Diamond said.
Aura smiled. "It looks beautiful!"
More Crystal Koopas gasped and stared at the different Koopas in their kingdom. Just then, a young Crystal Koopa walked over to Wyatt and Diamond. He looked to be around Wyatt and Iggy's age. This Crystal Koopa had long red hair, green eyes, the same golden skin most Koopas had, wrist bands with green gems on them, and a green shell with red crystals and white rings surrounding them.
"Wyatt, what's going on? What are these other Koopas doing here?!" He asked.
Wyatt and Diamond chuckled. "Everything's fine, man." Diamond replied.
"They're here for a visit." Wyatt added.
The boy looked at the group of different Koopas, and back at Wyatt. Then, the boy gasped.
"Oh my God! You actually did it, Wyatt! You brought them here! I forgot you mentioned it before!" The boy waved to the group and looked back at the prince. "Well, I gotta head home." His brow furrowed. "I just hope you know what you're doing, dude."
The Koopa then walked away.
"Who was that?" Iggy asked.
Wyatt answered, "Oh, that was Alan, one of my friends."
Iggy smiled and followed the two Crystal Koopas.
After walking through the city, the group eventually arrived at a large gray castle. The two guards standing outside gasped when they saw the group. The one with dark brown hair stepped forward.
"Your Majesties! What's going on?" He asked.
"Don't worry!" Wyatt said. "They're guests."
The bald guard began to tremble. Seeing this, Diamond gave him a smile.
"They aren't here to hurt us. They just want peace."
After a moment, the two guards opened the doors of the castle. When they walked inside, Iggy and the others smiled as they admired the inside of the castle. There were a few paintings hanging on each wall. As they walked, Bowser's anxiety returned.
"It's alright." Clawdia whispered to him.
Bowser whispered back, "How will the king and queen react to us? Especially us Dragon Koopas?"
Clawdia replied, "Whatever happens, we can handle it."
Nodding, Bowser took a deep breath. As Wyatt and Diamond led them down another hall, they heard a gasp. Turning to their left, they saw two more Crystal Koopas. They both had gold skin like Diamond and Wyatt, but also had a white muzzle and plastron like Diamond. The boy had blue eyes, a black Mohawk with blue at the tips, a blue shell with light blue crystals, and white rings surrounding the crystals.
The girl had light green and black hair pulled back in a ponytail, green eyes, black wrist bands with green gems, a dark green shell, light green crystals, and white rings surrounding the crystals. The boy looked at everyone, his eyes wide.
"No way…" He whispered.
Glaring at Wyatt, the girl rushed over to him. She grabbed him and said, "Wyatt, what the fuck?!"
Wyatt gave her a sly smile. "Mom said not to use that language, Vendetta."
The girl, Vendetta, growled. "I don't care right now! Why did you bring them here? I know it was you!"
Wyatt gently pushed her off of him. "I told you guys before that I want our parents to understand that the other Koopa races aren't horrible, especially the Dragon Koopas!"
Vendetta growled once again. "You can do whatever you want, but when you get grounded, I'm gonna laugh."
Wyatt rolled his eyes and then looked at everyone. "These are our two older siblings, Vendetta and Jack."
Jack looked at everyone. "Um, hello. It's… nice to meet you guys."
Iggy gave him a smile. "Hi."
Wyatt looked at his brother and sister. "So, where's Mom and Dad?"
Vendetta replied, "In the throne room. Man, the looks on their faces when they see these guys. I gotta see this!"
Jack rolled his eyes. "Don't listen to her. I'm sure they'll be a bit surprised, but—"
"They're going to be pissed!" Vendetta exclaimed.
Bowser let out a breath.
Smirking, Vendetta said, "Alright, everyone. Follow me."
Wendy leaned over to Ludwig and whispered, "She'd definitely get along with Alex."
Ludwig chuckled. "I know, right?"
As they approached the throne room, Wyatt stopped everyone. He looked at Bowser and the other Koopas.
"You guys wait out in the hall. I'll talk to my parents first."
Iggy nodded. "Alright."
Taking a deep breath, Wyatt walked inside of the throne room. Growing curious, Iggy peeked inside. He saw two Crystal Koopas sitting on their thrones and a little girl sitting on the floor playing with a doll. The girl and woman both had pink skin, but the girl's was lighter and softer. The two also had beige muzzles and plastrons.
The girl had blue eyes, bright pink hair styled in twin tails with purple bands holding them up, a gold crown with purple gems, yellow wrist bands, purple shoes, a yellow heart necklace, a violet-purple shell, and clear crystals with light green rings surrounding them.
Along with having warm-pink skin, the woman had long wavy periwinkle blue hair, blue eyes, a gold crown with four purple diamonds, gold bracelets, light aqua shoes, a light aqua shell, purple crystals, and white rings surrounding the crystals.
The man had brown eyes, a black Mohawk and black goatee, dark skin, a gray muzzle and plastron, horns with mauve rings surrounding them, white bands with purple gems on his arms and wrists, a mauve shell, dark crystals, two fang-like teeth, and purple rings surrounding the crystals.
"Whoa…" Iggy thought to himself.
The woman smiled at Wyatt. "Hi, honey. What are you doing here?"
Wyatt rubbed the back of his head. "I, uh, have something to tell you guys."
The man raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"I brought some people to the castle that I really want you guys to meet." Wyatt replied.
"Of course!" The woman smiled. "Bring them in!"
After taking another deep breath, Wyatt faced the entryway. "Come on in, guys."
When the group walked inside with the rest of their children, the king and queen's eyes widened. The two quickly stood up from their seats.
"Guards!"
The little girl got to her feet and hid behind the queen's leg.
Wyatt gasped. "No! Wait!"
A group of Crystal Koopa guards from down up the hallway rushed inside the throne room, surrounding Bowser and the others.
"King Onyx! Queen Alora! What should we do with them? How did they even get past the guards outside?!" One of the guards exclaimed.
Onyx gave Wyatt a fierce look and replied, "I have an idea…"
"They aren't here to hurt us!" Wyatt exclaimed.
Onyx snarled, electric currents flowing over his body. "You endangered us all by bringing them here!" He gestured to Bowser. "Especially the Dragon Koopas!"
The little girl whimpered and hugged the queen's leg tighter.
Iggy spoke up. "We're not here to cause trouble, Your Majesty! We just—"
Alora cut Iggy off and asked Wyatt, "Did you reach out to them in their dreams?"
Wyatt hesitated.
"Wyatt…" Onyx said sternly.
Wyatt sighed. "Yes. I did."
"Wyatt! I told you to stop traveling to the dreams of the other Koopa races! What if one tries to hurt us?"
As Wyatt tried to explain himself, the others gasped. They watched as Bowser lowered himself onto one knee, then the other.
Bowser then said, "Your Majesties… we're not here to cause trouble for you and your people. My children—our children, only wanted peace. I didn't want to come here, I wanted you guys to reach out when you were ready." Bowser chuckled nervously, surprising the others again. "But clearly, our children had other plans." He sighed. "I am nothing like King Obsidian. The Para and Sea Koopas also won't harm you. I may invade other kingdoms and kidnap princesses, but I would NEVER invade or attack another Koopa Kingdom. I beg you—judge us for who we are, not for the Koopa who came before us."
Everyone was silent, waiting for Onyx and Alora's response. After two minutes went by, Bowser heard footsteps walking closer.
Onyx looked at the guards. "Head back to your locations."
The guards bowed and left the throne room.
Bowser looked up when he heard Onyx say, "Stand."
Once Bowser stood, Onyx continued. "Very well. You have one chance. But know this — if any of you show that you're lying, we won't hesitate to defend ourselves!"
Iggy and Wyatt smiled. Iggy then said, "We can prove ourselves by helping protect you all!"
Alora raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Iggy looked at the king and queen and began to explain the situation, telling them about Justin, Jade, and their minions.
When he finished, Vendetta exclaimed, "WHAT?! You guys created them?!"
Onyx held up his hand to silence her. He then replied, "Well, in that impossible moment, we'll see if you're lying or not."
Alora smiled a little. "Wyatt, you kids can go to the playroom and talk while we talk in another room."
"Great!" Wyatt looked at the little girl, who was still hiding behind Alora's leg. "Come on, Sophia."
Sophia hesitated, but took Wyatt's hand.
Wyatt smiled and looked at the other kids. "Alright! Follow us!"
After that, the kids left the throne room.
Not sure if I'll have time to write tomorrow. If not, then I'll work on the next chapter one day next week!
Video Chat
Hello! So, all day I've been debating on whether or not to work on this chapter. So I ended up doing it and now this chapter is finished :D
Iggy and the others looked around when the kids arrived in the playroom. Inside were many different toys, board games, and card games. Once they were inside, Wyatt and Diamond removed their cloaks and placed them on a couch. They also finally got a good look at Diamond's shell. Her shell was red and, just like Sophia's, she had clear crystals on it. But unlike Sophia's, she had purple rings encircling the crystals.
With a smile, Wyatt gestured to the little girl next to him. "This is our baby sister, Sophia!"
Sophia nervously waved at everyone.
Wendy grinned. "Aww! She's adorable!" Hearing that made the youngest Crystal Koopa giggle.
Vendetta turned to face Wyatt. "I can't believe you brought them here."
"I needed to so that all four Koopa races could finally be together again!" Wyatt answered.
Wendy walked over to Sophia. She knelt down in front of the young girl and gave her a smile. "Can you show me your powers, Sophia?"
Sophia slowly smiled. "Ok!"
Sophia took a deep breath. Then, her hands glowed green. A moment later, a desert marigold materialized in her hand.
Wendy gasped. "That's amazing!"
Sophia grinned. "You can have this flower."
Smiling softly, Wendy took the flower. "Thank you so much."
Everyone then sat on the floor. Wyatt smiled as he looked around at all of the kids.
"I can't believe that I'm meeting some of you right now." Wyatt said.
Grinning, Iggy pulled out his phone. "I'm gonna call the rest of my siblings so they can meet you guys too!"
Wyatt's siblings stared at the rectangular object in amazement. "You can really do that with that thing?" Jack asked.
Iggy nodded. "Yep! I'll show ya!"
Back in Bowser's castle, Lemmy and the rest of his brothers were still in the game room. Larry went back to playing video games, with Morton and Roy joining him. Bowser Jr grabbed some colored pencils and colored a picture of a dragon in his coloring book. Lemmy was daydreaming a moment ago. He sighed, catching Junior's attention.
"Are you ok, Lemmy?" He asked.
"I'm just thinking about Iggy and the others." Lemmy answered. "I know our parents are with them now, but none of them have called us or even sent a text. I wonder if they made it to the Crystal Koopas."
"Woohoo!" Larry cheered after winning another round of Mario Kart.
Morton shook his head at his younger brother. He then looked at his older brother and said, "I'm sure Ludwig or someone will call us soon."
"Yeah. You're worrying over nothing." Roy added.
"I know. But… Justin and Jade are following them. I know everyone's strong enough, but what if they're in trouble?"
Larry paused the game and looked at Lemmy. "Don't worry, Lems. Everyone's fine."
The boys then froze when the heard a phone ringing.
"Oh! It's mine!" Lemmy reached inside of his shell and took out his phone. He gasped and smiled brightly. "Iggy's video calling me!"
The others stopped what they were doing and stood around Lemmy. When Lemmy answered the call, his smile grew when he saw his taller, but younger brother's face.
"Iggy! Finally! I was getting worried!" Lemmy then noticed the white wall behind Iggy and raised an eyebrow. "Wait. Where are you?"
Iggy giggled. "We did it!"
Lemmy and the others gasped. "You mean…?"
Iggy nodded. "Yep! We're in Shellshard Canyon!" Iggy turned to his left. "Come over, Wyatt."
Wyatt walked over and stood next to Iggy, showing his face in the camera. "Hey guys!"
Lemmy gasped and smiled. "Hi, Wyatt!"
"That's not all…" Iggy then flipped the camera, showing four more Crystal Koopas. "These are Wyatt's siblings! Meet Vendetta, Jack, Diamond, and Sophia!"
The four Crystal Koopas awkwardly waved.
"Whoa… they look so cool!" Roy exclaimed.
Vendetta smirked. "Whoever the guy with the deep voice is, I like him."
Iggy looked over at them, still smiling. "You guys can come over to get a better look if you want."
Wyatt's siblings hesitated.
"Will that thing hurt us?" Diamond asked.
Iggy chuckled as he flipped the camera back to his face. "No. You'll be fine."
After another moment of hesitation, Diamond was the first to step toward Iggy. She looked at the phone screen, seeing a Dragon Koopa with multicolored hair. Seeing it made Diamond gasp.
"Wow! Your hair is so amazing!" She giggled. "It's so colorful!"
Lemmy blushed and chuckled. "Thank you! I'm Lemmy by the way."
"I'm Diamond!" Diamond replied.
Junior then jumped onto Lemmy's back, showing his face. "Hiya! I'm Bowser Jr!"
Sophia gasped. "Is that another kid?"
"Yeah!" Diamond smiled. "You wanna come say hi, Sophie?"
Sophia nodded and quickly made her way over to Diamond and Iggy. When Iggy knelt down and showed her the phone, Sophia and Junior stared at each other.
"Hello!" Sophia greeted him. "I'm Sophia."
Junior grinned. "Hey there!"
"Aww, she's cute!" Lemmy remarked. "I bet you'd get along with our cousin Talisa!"
Two minutes later, Jack and Vendetta slowly walked over and introduced themselves to Junior and the other Koopalings. Along with Sophia and Diamond, they even got to show them their powers. Junior thought that Diamond's power was the best, making her laugh and smile. The kids talked on the phone for a few minutes. Then, Lemmy thought of something.
"Wait a minute. Where are our parents?"
"With ours in another room." Vendetta replied.
"Speaking of our parents, you guys should've seen it!" Iggy said. "Dad actually bowed down to King Onyx and Queen Alora!"
Larry gasped. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah! I wish I had taken a picture!" Iggy replied.
"Hey!" Sophia called out to them, holding a board game. "Let's play this game!"
"Sure, Sophie!" Wyatt replied.
Iggy looked at his phone screen. "Well, I'll talk to you guys later."
"Alright! Bye, Iggy!"
After that, Lemmy and Iggy hung up.
Lemmy sighed as he put his phone away. "Well, I'm glad they're alright."
Larry smirked. "See? We told ya!"
Later on after talking with Lemmy and the others, the kids had finished playing the board game. Vendetta grumbled and looked away from them.
"I guess you guys are alright…"
"Of course they are!" said Wyatt.
As he sat there, Iggy remembered something. He looked at Wyatt and asked, "Hey, Wyatt? Can you finally explain how you saw me and what you meant before by "finally meeting me"?"
Wyatt chuckled. "Sure." He let out a sigh. "I uh… guess I should start from the beginning." Wyatt scratched the back of his head. "It might be a long story."
Sky smirked. "We've got plenty of time."
I'll try to work on the next chapter tomorrow if I have time :)
Wyatt's Story Part 1
Had some time to write today :D I hope you all like this chapter! Also, the text in italics is in Wyatt's pov!
I was laying on my bed, looking through one of my favorite books. I loved this book so much! I smiled to myself as I looked at the drawings of the different places. There were mountains, forests, and even beaches!
"They look so cool!" I said to myself. "It'd be so much fun if we could visit places like these."
"Prince Wyatt." I looked up from the book to see one of our servants standing outside my room. "It's time for lunch."
"Ok!"
After closing the book, I jumped off of my bed and left my room. I walked down the halls until I arrived in the dining room. My father was sitting down along with my brother and sister, Jack and Vendetta, who were eating sandwiches. Our mother was feeding our baby sister, Diamond. I sat down with everyone and began to eat.
"What were you up to?" Vendetta asked.
I looked at my big sister and said, "I was looking through that picture book again."
Jack swallowed a bite of his sandwich and said, "You really like that book, huh?"
I grinned. "Yeah! I think those places are very cool looking!" I swallowed some juice. "I want to visit places like those so badly!"
"We have to stay inside Shellshard Canyon." My father told me.
I looked at him. "Why?"
My dad replied, "To keep everyone safe."
I tilted my head. "Safe? Safe from what?"
"From the other Koopa races! Duh!" Vendetta exclaimed.
I blinked. "Other Koopa races? There's other Koopas out there?"
My mom sighed. "I knew that question was gonna come up sooner or later."
My dad chuckled. "Yes. There are other Koopa races. The main ones are the Sea Koopas, the Para Koopas…" My dad then grumbled. "and the Dragon Koopas."
After wiping my mouth with a napkin, I asked, "Where are those Koopas?"
"I don't know." My dad then mumbled. "And I honestly don't care…"
I tilted my head again, but I chose to drop it and finish my lunch.
Sierra frowned slightly. "Wow. King Onyx really didn't like the other Koopas."
Vendetta scoffed and replied, "Definitely."
Wyatt cleared his throat. "Well, after that, I felt a little curious about the other Koopa races."
A few days have gone by since I learned that there were more Koopas out in the world. I still couldn't believe it! All this time, I thought us Crystal Koopas were the only ones, and there's more Koopas out there somewhere! I… I want to learn more. I mean, there's three main Koopa races, and possibly more!
I walked through the corridors until I found my parents in the throne room. My parents smiled at me when they noticed me and I ran inside. I immediately ran over to my mother and sat on her lap.
My mom giggled and asked me, "What are you doing, Wyatt?"
I smiled at her. "Can you guys tell me more about the other Koopas?"
"What do you want to know?" She asked.
I grinned. "Everything!"
My dad chuckled. "Well… the Sea Koopas, Dragon Koopas, and Para Koopas look pretty much identical to us, except they have spikes on their shells instead of crystals." He added, "The Para Koopas have wings while the Sea Koopas have fins on their arms and tails."
"They sound cool!" I exclaimed.
My dad chuckled nervously, which made me feel… weird. What was wrong? There was nothing to be worried about!
My mom then said, "Wanna know something fascinating? Us Crystal Koopas were originally Dragon Koopas!"
I gasped. "No way!"
My dad laughed and said, 'It's true!"
I stared at my dad in amazement as he explained to me how the first Crystal Koopas came to be. Apparently, a group of Dragon Koopas hid inside of a cave from a storm that had crystals inside. They ended up absorbing the raw crystal magic, and weeks later, their spikes turned into crystals and they discovered that they had magical powers! That… that was…
"Wow! That's so cool!" I said. "But… I still wonder where the other Koopa races are at right now."
"The other Koopa races are probably in their own lands." My mother said.
I raised an eyebrow. "I thought they lived together somewhere."
My dad looked at my mom. "Should we tell him about the Shellsplit?"
My mom nodded and replied, "He was going to learn about it eventually."
I blinked. "Huh? What's the Shellsplit?"
My father took a deep breath and explained the events to me and why we're now living in Shellshard Canyon. So… a past Dragon Koopa King didn't like the other Koopa races in his land, and started a war. And once the war ended, the other Koopa races left the kingdom. I stared at the floor, letting it all sink in. That's just… wow.
I looked up at my father and asked him, "Are the Dragon Koopas good now?"
"I don't know," My father said. "but I'm not going to find out."
I then frowned. "What about the others?"
"The Sea Koopas and Para Koopas did fight alongside the Crystal Koopas, but I'm not sure how they'll react to seeing us." My father answered. "For all we know, they could be just as bad as the Dragon Koopas now."
I frowned again after hearing that. "So, we really can't visit and meet those other Koopas?"
My dad sighed. "No. I'm sorry, Bud."
My mom kissed my cheek. "It's alright. Hey, I know! Why don't we play a game with your siblings?"
I smiled at her. "Alright."
I hopped off of my mother's lap and excitedly bolted out of the room. As I played with my family though, my mind was still on those other Koopa races.
If I have time tomorrow, I'll work on the next chapter and post it :D
Wyatt's Story Part 2
Back with a new chapter!
A few years have gone by since I've learned about the other Koopa races. I'm now thirteen years old. When I was younger and used my powers, I was able to enter my family's dreams randomly. Now, I've learned how to meditate and focus on the person's face to enter their dreams. I also have a new little sister now! Her name is Sophia.
I always have fun with my siblings and friends, but I still think about those other Koopas. I really want to meet them. But… there is a part of me that's a little nervous. After my parents told me about the other Koopas years ago, part of me isn't so sure.
I shook my head. "No. I gotta push this fear away! The Sea Koopas and the Para Koopas are good." I then sighed. "I wonder if the Dragon Koopas are…"
Later on, I was sitting in the play room with Jack and Vendetta. I sat on the floor and began to zone out. Once again, my mind was on those other Koopas. Where were they? What were they like? Were they good? Or… were they evil?
Then, I felt someone gently shake me. I snapped out of my thoughts to see my older brother Jack looking at me.
"Is something on your mind, Wyatt? You were zoning out." He said.
"Oh, I was just thinking about the other Koopa races." I answered.
Vendetta raised an eyebrow at me. "Why are you so obsessed with them?"
Rolling my eyes, I replied, "I'm not obsessed, just curious."
"You shouldn't even worry about the other Koopas." Vendetta remarked. "Especially the Dragon Koopas."
"Why not?" I asked.
Vendetta rolled her eyes. "Have you forgotten about the Shellsplit?"
I shrugged and replied, "Maybe the Dragon Koopas have changed. We won't know until we see."
Jack smiled softly. "That's true." His smile faltered a little. "But it won't happen."
Vendetta nodded. "Dad won't let anyone go far away from Shellshard Canyon."
I growled. "It's not fair!" I glanced at my siblings. "I wanna see other places!"
"I know," Jack said. "but there's nothing we can do." He sighed. "We can only leave to find food."
Iggy blinked and looked at the Crystal Koopas. "Wait a second. How do you guys find food without being spotted?"
Diamond responded, "Our shells are obviously unique, so we wear our cloaks whenever we leave the barrier."
"The cloaks cover our shells very well." Jack said.
Wyatt looked at Iggy. "That's why I wore my cloak when I first visited your dream."
"That's interesting." Ludwig remarked. "So, how did you end up in the dreams of the Dragon Koopas?"
Wyatt chuckled. "I was just about to talk about it!" He looked at everyone. "It happened a few months after my conversation with Jack and Vendetta…"
That's it for now!
Wyatt's Story Part 3
Here's the next chapter!
The months went by since that day. On and off, I continued to think about the other Koopa races. I wanna see them so much, but I know my parents won't leave our home for even a day. I grumbled as I closed the book I was reading. After placing it on my desk, I lay down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling and began to think to myself.
"I wonder where the other Koopa races are." I sighed softly. "I know that the Dragon Koopas live in the Koopa Kingdom, but I don't even know where that is."
I yawned and decided to take a nap.
The next day, I left the castle and wandered through Shellshard Canyon. A few people waved to me and others bowed. As much as I wanted to leave and visit other places, I really do love this kingdom. Everyone I interacted with here was so nice and friendly! After saying hello to an elderly Crystal Koopa, I went through a Warp Pipe.
When I made it out on the other side, I was near a beautiful waterfall. This place was the Shardfall Cascades, one of my favorite places in Shellshard Canyon. Surprisingly, not that many people were out today. But, I did see two familiar Crystal Koopas by the waterfall. They were my two friends, Alan and Peter.
I've known these two since we were five years old. We met each other in preschool and I'm glad we did. Alan and Peter are great friends! Plus, they also have interesting powers. See, Alan has telekinesis while Peter can grow crystals, both magical and normal crystals. And out of the three of us, Peter is an only child. Alan has a little sister named Scarlet, who can show people memories.
Anyways, I greeted my friends when I arrived and sat with them. Alan telekinetically picked up his snack and took a bite. Peter smiled as he grew a few small crystals next to him. As they talked, I began to get lost in my thoughts as I stared at the water.
"Wyatt? Is everything ok?"
I looked up after hearing Alan's voice. "Everything's fine."
Peter frowned. "That's not true. What's up?"
Sighing, I said, "I really want to meet the other Koopa races." I added, "I'll even settle with seeing a glimpse of them."
Alan walked over and sat next to me. He patted my shoulder and remarked, "Maybe your dad will change his mind."
I sighed again. "I doubt it."
The three of us were silent for a few minutes. Until, Alan's eyes widened and he exclaimed, "I got it!"
"What do you mean?" Peter asked him.
Alan leaned in closer to us and whispered, "Dude. Your sister has invisibility powers, right?"
I gasped, realizing what Alan was getting at. "I could do that, but I'm not sure if Diamond would be up to it." I frowned slightly. "It'd probably take us hours to get there by foot."
Alan began to think. "Hmm. What if Peter makes a crystal and sets an intention for it to teleport you guys to one of their kingdoms and back home?"
I gasped loudly. "That's a great idea!"
"Uh… are you sure about that?" Peter asked. He ran his fingers through his icy blue Mohawk. "Wouldn't you rather ask a Crystal Koopa with flying powers to take you guys there?"
I shook my head. "I don't wanna bother Auria or Sardonyx." I shuddered. "Sardonyx also flies a little too fast sometimes." I smiled. "A crystal will be good. That way, I also won't have to bother a Crystal Koopa with teleportation powers."
Peter sighed. "Alright."
He started meditating as he made a purple crystal. Once he was finished, Peter then whispered the intention. Two minutes later, he handed the crystal to me.
"It's finished." He said. "Now all you have to do is ask Diamond to use her powers."
I grinned. "Thanks, man!"
That night, I told Diamond about my plan and showed her the crystal. She gasped as she looked at me.
"WHAAAT?!" She exclaimed.
"Shhh!" I then whispered, "I'm serious about this! And I know you're a little curious about the other Koopas too."
Diamond stared at me. "What if Mom and Dad find out?"
"They won't." I said. "Plus, we won't be gone long and obviously no one will see us."
After hesitating, Diamond sighed and nodded. "Alright."
The next day, my family and I finished our breakfast and left the dining room. Sophia wanted to play a game with our parents, so the three of them went to her room. Jack and Vendetta went to their rooms also. Diamond and I told them that we were going to hang out around the kingdom today. Thankfully, everyone believed us and we walked out of the castle.
As we walked farther away from the castle, Diamond and I pulled our cloaks out of our shells and put them on. A few citizens saw us do this, but didn't think much of it. They probably just assumed that we were going to get some food. We walked through the towns until we made it to the wall in Stonelight Village. We then walked through the barrier.
When we were on the other side of the barrier, we looked around, making sure no one was around. I then pulled out the purple crystal.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
Diamond nodded. "Yeah."
She then took a deep breath and, using her powers, turned us both invisible. I then looked down at the crystal.
"Take us to the Koopa Kingdom." I said to it.
Then, the two of us were teleported from our home.
Diamond and I gasped. Instead of the rocky valley, we were now at the entrance of the Koopa Kingdom. We gasped again as we looked around. There were many Dragon Koopas out shopping, working, and playing. We also saw some brown mushroom creatures and even smaller Koopas. Some of those small Koopas even had wings!
"Wow…" Diamond and I whispered as we started to walk through the town.
I turned my head and saw a sign. It said that this town was called "Koopa Town." In the distance, we saw a large castle.
"I wonder who the current ruler is." Diamond said.
"Me too." I replied.
We then began to explore Koopa Town. The houses looked pretty similar to the ones in Stonelight Village. The sky looked a little gray though. I did see some volcanoes, so that's probably why. And the Dragon Koopas… they looked so kind and friendly.
"The Dragon Koopas gotta be good." I whispered.
Diamond shrugged. "Hopefully."
I took a good look at a few Dragon Koopas. After walking through the town for a few minutes, Diamond and I agreed to head back home.
We left the Koopa Kingdom and were back at the barrier. Diamond made us visible again and we grinned at each other.
"The Koopa Kingdom looks amazing!" Diamond whispered.
"I know, right?" I whispered back.
Diamond and I then walked through the barrier, entering our kingdom.
Diamond and I continued to sneak out and visit the Koopa Kingdom as the months went by. I also began to visit the dreams of the Dragon Koopas because I wanted to explore other dreams. Also… I guess part of me wanted those Koopas to know that us Crystal Koopas are still out here. One day, while we were in the Koopa Kingdom, I took Diamond's hand.
"Huh? What are you doing?" Diamond wondered.
"I wanna see the castle this time!" I answered.
Diamond looked a little nervous. "O-Oh, alright."
After running through another town called "Koopa Valley", we finally arrived at the massive castle. We hid behind a large rock. We saw a large airship, along with some small Koopas and the mushroom creatures boarding it. We also saw a group of Dragon Koopas. One looked similar to the face on the castle.
"He must be the current king." I whispered.
"And I guess the others are his wife and children." Diamond whispered back. "I wonder where they're going."
I shrugged and said, "Who knows."
As I looked at the children, one stuck out to me. This kid is very tall! He also had green plant-like hair and wore thick black glasses.
"I wonder who that one is." I thought.
We then heard someone running. We turned to see another Dragon Koopa girl. This one was wearing purple glasses and had her black hair in a ponytail. We heard the tall Koopa call out to her, calling her Tia. The girl called out to him also, calling him Iggy.
"Those must be their names." Diamond said.
I nodded. "They could also be short for something."
We watched as the two Dragon Koopas talked. The girl then hugged the boy and said, "Good luck, Iggy."
Diamond giggled and pointed to the boy's wagging tail.
I chuckled and said, "Oh he's definitely in love with her."
Once Tia left and the other kids teased Iggy, the Dragon Koopas boarded the airship and flew away.
"They don't seem so bad." Diamond said.
"Right." I replied. "Maybe the Dragon Koopas have changed." I added, "Iggy seems interesting."
After walking away from the castle, Diamond and I explored Neo Bowser City. A few minutes later, Diamond and I used the crystal again and teleported back home.
Iggy gasped and exclaimed, "So that's how you knew about me! And you technically did visit the Koopa Kingdom in person!"
Wyatt chuckled. "Yep! I was just invisible." He then added, "Along with King Bowser, Iggy and Tiana stuck out to me more since I knew your names. And it's nice that you two got together."
Tiana's cheeks flushed.
Wendy said, "And that's when other Dragon Koopas began seeing you in their dreams!"
Wyatt nodded. "My father learned what I was doing," He pointed to Vendetta, "thanks to her, who overheard me telling Jack!"
Vendetta snorted, making Wyatt roll his eyes.
Wyatt looked at everyone else. "My dad told me to stop, but obviously I didn't." Wyatt scratched the back of his head. "I continued to visit the dreams of other Dragon Koopas until I finally got the courage to visit Iggy's."
Iggy grinned. "I'm so glad that you did!"
"Me too." Wyatt said. "Until that one week when I didn't get to talk to you."
"What happened?" Ludwig asked.
Giggling, Sophia said, "Wyatt got grounded!"
Jack glared at her. "Sophia, that's not funny!"
Wyatt sighed. "My parents found out that I was still entering the dreams of Dragon Koopas, so they had one of our servants, Juniper, monitor me in the dream world for a week since she also has dream walking abilities." He sighed again. "Later on, they got mad when I told them that I've met all of you, like I told Iggy before, and how they didn't want to meet the other Koopa races."
Iggy gave Wyatt a smile. "You don't have to worry about that now."
Tiana nodded and added, "Everyone will prove to your parents that we've changed."
Slowly, Wyatt smiled again. "Yeah. I know we will."
That's it for now! If I don't post tomorrow, Happy New Year everyone!
A Meeting Long Overdue
Happy New Year everyone! I had time to work on the next chapter!
In the desert, Justin and Jade rubbed their heads as they slowly stood up, still in some pain from the fight.
Justin groaned. "I can't stand those Koopas…"
Jade sighed and said, "We should get going and find the Crystal Koopas."
Justin nodded and faced their minions, who were still on the ground. "Come on! Let's go!"
The minions groaned as they got up and rubbed their heads. After a minute, Justin rolled his eyes as they still were out of it.
"Hurry up!" He shouted.
After another minute, the minions were feeling slightly better and followed their leaders.
The large group continued walking through the desert, sweating and growing exhausted. Seriously! This was taking forever!
"Are we at least getting closer?" Justin thought to himself.
Jade sighed. "Where did those Koopas go?"
Back in the playroom, the kids were playing another board game. The older kids gasped after Sophia's tun.
"I win!" She cheered and laughed.
Vendetta rolled her eyes. "How the heck did we lose to a little kid?"
"I'm just amazing at this game!" Sophia answered.
As Jack put the board game away, he asked, "What should we do next?"
Wyatt shrugged. "I dunno."
"Hm. I wonder what our parents are up to." Tiana said.
Iggy looked at Wyatt. "Hopefully ours are getting along with your parents."
Wyatt replied, "I hope so too."
The royal Koopas, along with Tiana's parents, sat at the large table in the meeting room. Everyone was quiet. Not tense — just heavy with old history. The Para Koopa king and queen sat with folded wings; the Sea Koopa king and queen sat next to them; Bowser and Clawdia sat across from them and shared a quiet look; and Tyra and Tony sat stiffly next to their king and queen, unsure if they even belonged among royalty. Cordelia broke the silence as she looked at Onyx and Alora.
"All of us completely understand why you hid for so long."
Neil added, "Yeah. I definitely understand. Us Para Koopas and the Sea Koopas have also lost loved ones and were harmed during the Shellsplit."
Onyx sighed and, in an edged voice, said, "We hid because we had no choice!" He added, "King Obsidian despised any Koopa who wasn't a Dragon Koopa. He only allowed ones like the Koopa Troopas and Magikoopas to stay in the kingdom because most of them worked in the castle."
Bowser looked at Onyx. "I understand that what my ancestors did was horrible, even worse than what I do to other kingdoms." He cleared his throat. "I won't defend it or excuse it."
"Um, excuse me, Your Majesties, may I say something?" Tony spoke up. Everyone looked at him. Once Onyx nodded, Tony continued. "King Onyx, I completely understand why the Crystal Koopas chose to hide. I'd do the same if I were in their position." Tony looked at Onyx. "As a citizen of the Koopa Kingdom, I can tell you that, besides a few ignorant Koopas, everyone is very kind and welcoming of the Sea Koopas and Para Koopas. The ones who have seen your son in their dreams only have positive things to say about him."
Tyra nodded. "The Para and Sea Koopa children get along very well with the Dragon Koopa kids and even the Koopa races that aren't native to the Koopa Kingdom."
Aura then giggled. "Our kids argue over games and snacks more fiercely than over species!"
Clawdia said, "We lost more than a kingdom—we lost each other."
After a moment of hesitation, Alora spoke up. "Our people have survived by solitude. We have no trade routes, no treaties, no allies. Opening our boarders could undo us faster than any war."
Neil then asked, "Should you really continue to stay hidden from the world?"
"If we do reveal ourselves to the world," Onyx replied, "we will have to deal with possible threats."
"Then we prepare. Together." Bowser said.
Alora let out a breath. "You speak of unity as though it doesn't require undoing centuries of fear."
Bowser replied, "Everything good takes work."
Everyone is silent once again. Then, Clawdia spoke up, breaking the silence.
"The kids seem to get along so well."
Cordelia nodded. "The kids left because they knew that Wyatt needed them, and maybe they believed that all of their kingdoms needed this."
Onyx slowly nodded. He chuckled and said, "Wyatt has wanted to meet the other Koopa races for a long time, and the smile he had on his face made me happy deep down." He sighed and added, "The children really do want peace. Maybe… maybe we—"
Onyx was then cut off by the sound of screaming coming from outside.
That's it for now :D
The Decision
Hello everyone! So, I wasn't planning on posting today, but I started working on this earlier today when I had time. I'm just now finishing this chapter. I'm so tired lol
Justin, Jade, and their minions were still walking through the desert. Justin looked up at the sun. Has it gotten hotter as the minutes went by? It felt like it. Everyone was hot, tired, and thirsty. How hard was it to find a group of strange looking Koopas?!
A few Goombas groaned. "Man. We should've brought food and water." One of them said.
"Just shut up and keep walking!" Justin told them.
Eventually, the two Toads and their group made it out of the scorching desert. They were now walking through the rocky valley.
Justin smiled. "Huh. Y'know, the heat isn't as bad here."
Jade let out a sigh of relief and looked around at their new location. They decided to turn right to look for any Koopas. Unfortunately, they didn't see any. This only made Justin's frustration grow. Where could they be?
Before he could complain, he heard Jade say, "Huh? What's that wall over there?"
Justin looked ahead. Just like his partner said, there was a rocky wall.
"It's just a wall." He told her. "We should just keep moving."
Jade shook her head. "Something's up with it. I'm just not sure what."
Justin watched as Jade walked towards the rocky wall. He and the others followed closely behind her. When they reached the wall, Jade stared at it.
"Hmm…"
Justin looked at her. "What's wrong?"
Jade replied, "I… I'm probably crazy, but I feel like there's something on the other side."
Justin gasped softly. "Wait! Do you think the Koopas could've made this wall? And they made this wall to hide from us?"
Jade shrugged. "There's only one way to find out."
The two Toads backed away and motioned for the Sledge Bros. to walk forward. The Sledge Bros. stood in front of their leaders and pulled out their hammers. When the hammers hit the rocky wall, everyone gasped. The wall didn't break. Justin and Jade then took out Bob-Ombs and lit them. When they threw them at the wall, the wall was still standing.
Jade growled. "Why didn't this stupid wall fall apart!?"
Justin approached the wall and placed his hand on it. What was up with it? It should've fell apart when the Sledge Bros. threw their hammers at it. It DEFINITELY should've collapsed when the Bob-Ombs exploded! Wait… what if…?
Justin gasped, catching Jade's attention.
"This wall… it must be a magical barrier!"
"Huh?" Jade blinked. "What do you mean?"
Justin replied, "I've read a book on them." He looked at the wall again. "The only way to break through a magical barrier, is to use magic!"
As they backed away, Justin pulled out his wand. He shot out a purple energy blast. It hit the rocky wall, forming an indentation in it.
Jade gasped. "That's amazing!"
Taking out her own wand, Jade shot out a black energy blast. She grinned when a larger indent was on the wall.
Tiana gave the Crystal Koopas a curious look. "By the way, how is the barrier made? I've been a little curious about it."
Diamond smiled and said, "In the past, a Crystal Koopa with geokinesis like Vendetta created the rocky wall. And another that could create barriers placed a barrier on the wall." She added, "Whenever a Crystal Koopa with those powers dies, the barrier around the wall fades, so another with those powers has to put it back up."
"Wow! That's amazing!" Tiana exclaimed.
Then, the kids froze when the heard people screaming.
"What's wrong?" Jack wondered.
He got to his feet and peered out of the window. He looked down and saw the Crystal Koopas screaming and running around the kingdom. He squinted and looked ahead at the wall. He then gasped.
"What's wrong, Jack?" Vendetta asked.
Jack turned to face everyone. "The barrier is breaking!"
Everyone's eyes grew wide.
"Oh no…" Iggy remarked. "It can't be!"
The kids bolted out of the room and sprinted down the corridor. They then saw their parents quickly hurrying out of the meeting room. The kids made their way over to them.
"Mom! Dad! The barrier is breaking!" Wyatt cried out.
Onyx's eyes widened and Alora gasped. They're here. The enemies of the Dragon Koopas are actually here.
"What are we going to do?" Alora asked.
Onyx looked at his wife. "We're going to fight to protect our home and people."
Bowser then said, "Like we said before, we'll help defend your home."
Onyx walked down the hall. "Guards! Prepare to fight!"
Everyone ran out of the castle to see the citizens running around.
"Everyone! Please stay calm!" Alora said to them.
After a few more blows, the wall finally collapsed. Justin, Jade, and their minions then stormed inside. Wyatt took a deep breath. Iggy patted his shoulder and gave Wyatt a reassuring smile. The Dragon Koopas walked ahead of them and made their way to Stonelight Village.
The Toads and their minions looked around at the Crystal Koopas. Some of the minions admired the crystals on their shells. Once the others arrived, Iggy and Ludwig stepped forward, glaring at their creations.
"Take the minions that you stole and head home!" Ludwig said.
"Hahaha! No way!" Jade stepped forward. "Justin and I are going to take over this kingdom and rule over these Crystal Koopas!"
Electric currents flowed over Onyx's body, making Justin and his group gasp.
Smirking, Iggy said, "Oh, didn't we tell you? The Crystal Koopas have superpowers. Still wanna take over their kingdom?"
Justin glared at them. "These Crystal Koopas don't look so tough!"
Iggy heard a growl from behind him. When he glanced back, Vendetta used her powers and created a large rock. She hurled it at Justin, knocking the Toad down. The minions gasped and did their best to push the rock off of him.
Vendetta chuckled. "Still think we're weak?"
Justin stood up and coughed. Glaring at Vendetta, he gripped his wand. He shot an energy blast at Ludwig and Iggy, but the two brothers jumped to the side. Onyx shot a lightning bolt at him. Justin shrieked and quickly leaped out of the way.
A Koopa Paratroopa flew towards them. Then, Aura flew into the air and kicked the Paratroopa in the chest. The Paratroopa plummeted from the sky after losing its wings. A Crystal Koopa punched the now normal Koopa Troopa, knocking him down. The Sledge Bros. began to throw hammers at a group of Crystal Koopas.
One Crystal Koopa in the group created a barrier, surrounding them. The hammers hit the barrier and fell to the ground. Another Crystal Koopa in the group threw fireballs at the Sledge Bros., knocking them down. Sophia giggled as she tied up two Koopa Troopas with vines. Jack threw ice balls at a group of Goombas. Diamond turned herself, Wyatt, and Alora invisible.
The three snuck up behind a group of Hammer Bros. and ambushed them. They reappeared, making a group of Goombas scream. The three spat fireballs at them. Alora looked over at the Sea Koopas and gasped, seeing a group of enemies walking up behind them. Alora took a deep breath.
"Turn around! They're sneaking up behind you!"
Sierra and her parents blinked, hearing Alora's voice in their heads. The Sea Koopas turned around and trapped the enemies inside bubbles. They looked over at the queen and gave her a grateful smile.
"Queen Alora has telepathy? That's so cool!" Sierra thought.
Sky and his parents soared into the air and created gusts of wind. A few of the minions flew backwards and hit a rock. Clawdia and Wendy shot gold rings at Jade and a few Goombas. Tiana and her parents joined Bowser, Ludwig, and Iggy and spat out fireballs at Justin and several Troopas. Ludwig and Iggy pulled out their wands and shot energy blasts at them.
Then, Ludwig levitated into the air and created duplicates of himself. The three Ludwigs shot energy blasts at the minions. The minions groaned as they fell to the ground. After shooting a lightning bolt at an Ice Bro., Onyx glanced around at Bowser and the others. He watched as they fought the enemies, trying their hardest to stop them. Seeing them fight alongside his people made him smile a little.
Onyx then went back to fighting. As the battle went on, Justin and Jade began to grow weak and were in excruciating pain. The majority of their minions were also on the ground, groaning and struggling to get back up.
"No… we can't lose!" Justin thought.
Bowser and Onyx then fought two Sledge Bros. The two monarchs dodged their hammers and punched the Sledge Bros. in the face. After that, both Sledge Bros. fell to the ground. Justin and Jade were hit by Alora's fireballs. A moment later, both Toads fell to the ground.
Iggy sighed. "Finally…"
Justin groaned. "I can't believe we lost…"
Jade slowly lifted her head. "W-We'll win next time!"
Clawdia scoffed and put her hands on her hips. "You won't!"
Onyx looked around. "The Crystal Koopas with teleportation powers! Please teleport these Toads and their group away!"
A group of Crystal Koopas moved forward. Using their powers, the two Toads and their minions were teleported far away from Shellshard Canyon. Once they disappeared, Iggy and Wyatt gave each other a high five.
"I told you guys we'd help protect your kingdom!" Iggy remarked.
Alora and Onyx then walked over to the others.
Alora smiled and said, "Thank you all so much for your help!"
"No problem, Your Majesty!" Iggy answered.
Wyatt looked at his parents. "So… now that you've met them and seen how they helped us, will you guys reveal all of us to the world finally?"
Alora and Onyx exchanged glances. When they looked back at everyone, Alora was the first to speak.
"I'm sorry… but no."
The kids gasped.
"Even after we helped protect your kingdom, you still want to hide!?" Iggy exclaimed.
Onyx replied, "One battle does not erase centuries of fear. We cannot risk our children's future for the sake of the world's curiosity."
Ludwig, Wendy, and Tiana gasped again. Sky and Sierra frowned. Iggy and Wyatt stared at Wyatt's parents in shock.
"Guys, please! Reconsider!" Wyatt pleaded.
"Yeah!" Iggy said. "I've always wanted all four Koopa races to be together again!"
"I've wanted that too!" Wyatt replied.
A few Crystal Koopas near them looked sad and sympathetic. Onyx and Alora looked at each other again. Iggy and Wyatt exchanged a look of disappointment and despair.
Bowser then said, "We respect your decision."
Clawdia and the other rulers, along with Tiana's parents, nodded in agreement.
"Thank you." Alora said.
Bowser then added, "We'll leave now."
Wyatt frowned as he looked at Iggy.
"I'm sorry that we all can't be together like we wanted." Iggy said.
Wyatt sniffled and tried to hold back his tears. "I'm sorry too."
Bowser turned around and began to leave. The others slowly followed behind him. Before he followed the group, Iggy and Wyatt rushed over to each other and hugged.
"At least we can hang out in the dream world." Wyatt whispered to him.
A tear rolled down Iggy's cheek. "It's not the same as real life."
The two gradually pulled away.
"Goodbye, Iggy." Wyatt said.
Iggy sighed. "Goodbye, Wyatt."
After looking at each other one more time, Iggy turned around and followed the others. Once they were out of Shellshard Canyon, they heard a loud crackling sound coming from behind them. They turned around to see Vendetta creating a new wall. More tears streamed down Iggy's face. Tiana hugged him, doing her best to calm him down.
"I'm sorry, Iggy. Everything will be alright." She told him.
Clawdia walked over and hugged him also. Eventually, Iggy let them both go.
"I just want to go home." He muttered.
"Alright, sweetie." Clawdia said.
The group then continued walking through the valley.
On the other side of the new wall, a Crystal Koopa placed a barrier over it. Sophia then walked over to Wyatt.
"Are you alright, Wyatt?" She asked.
Wyatt wiped his eyes. "I want to go lay down."
Wyatt then walked away, making his way to the castle. Alora and Onyx looked at each other once again. The two then got closer and whispered to each other. As he walked away, Wyatt heard his mother call out to someone familiar.
"Peter?"
"Huh? What's going on? Why does Mom need my friend?" Wyatt wondered.
Peter made his way other to Onyx and Alora. "Yes, my queen?"
Wyatt paused and stood in the middle of the path. What was going on…?
Finally I made a longer chapter! Lol, anyways, I'll work on the next chapter either tomorrow or another day!
A New Shard
Here's a new chapter :D
Iggy sighed as they walked through the rocky valley. He thought back to everything that happened. His group snuck out to find a lost Koopa race, hoping to bring peace and interact with them. He and Wyatt have always wanted all four of the Koopa races from the Koopa Kingdom to be together someday. Now, their hopes and dreams were shattered.
Sky sighed. "We came all this way for nothing."
"Technically, that's not true." Iggy remarked. "We helped protect the Crystal Koopas and their kingdom from Justin and Jade."
"You're right." Sierra replied. She then sighed. "I just wish the Crystal Koopas changed their minds."
Cordelia patted Sierra's shoulder. "The Great Koopa War still affects all of us."
Bowser added, "If I had a time machine, I'd go back and stop the Shellsplit from even happening."
"I'd do it if I build one…" Iggy grumbled.
Tiana took Iggy's hand gave it a gentle squeeze. Iggy looked at his girlfriend and gave her a small smile.
The group continued to walk in silence. Iggy looked ahead. He still couldn't believe it. He honestly believed that Onyx and Alora would remove their barrier and tear down the wall. Everyone can still talk to Wyatt in their dreams, but like he said before, it wouldn't be the same as in person. Man, this was really…
"Wait!"
Iggy blinked. "Huh?"
They heard someone calling from behind them. When they turned around, they saw a cloaked Crystal Koopa, running in their direction. When the Crystal Koopa stopped in front of everyone, they pulled off their hood. The group gasped when they realized who it was.
Bowser stepped forward. "Queen Alora? What's the matter?"
Alora replied, "I want to give Iggy something."
Iggy raised an eyebrow as he stepped closer to the queen. Alora reached into her shell and pulled out two objects. They were two identical teardrop-shaped crystal shards.
"What is it?" Iggy asked her.
"Both of these shards are identical, which you can see." She chuckled. "I will give you one and I'll keep the other." Alora gave Iggy a small smile. "When we're truly ready for our wall to fall down and to open our borders, I'll whisper to mine and your shard will glow bright.
Iggy's eyes widened. Was… was she serious?
Alora gently placed one shard in Iggy's palm and closed his fingers over it.
"This isn't goodbye forever. I can see how much you and Wyatt care about each other."
Iggy looked at Alora. "How long will it be until you guys decide to remove the barrier?"
Alora shrugged and replied, "Could be months, maybe a year or two. But I promise, you and my son won't be apart for long." Alora looked at everyone. "Well, goodbye, everyone."
Alora pulled her hood over her head, turned around, and walked away. Iggy opened his hand and gazed at the shard.
That evening, when Iggy and his family returned to the castle, he, Wendy, and Ludwig told the rest of their siblings everything that had transpired. When they heard that Onyx and Alora didn't want to open their borders, Lemmy frowned and gave Iggy a hug.
"I'm so sorry, Iggy." Lemmy said. "I know you'll see Wyatt again soon."
Iggy hugged him back. "Thanks, Lems."
"I can't believe we're all grounded…" Roy grumbled.
Larry giggled as he looked at Ludwig. "Imagine getting grounded at eighteen!"
Ludwig kicked Larry off of his chair, making the youngest Koopaling fall to the floor. Iggy then reached into his shell and pulled out the red crystal shard. As he stared at it, Iggy thought back to what Alora told him.
"I hope the barrier will be down soon…"
The next chapter won't be posted tomorrow since my great aunt's funeral is tomorrow. Maybe Tuesday :)
Three Months Later
Hi! Here's a new chapter!
Three months have gone by since the others traveled to Shellshard Canyon and helped protect the hidden kingdom. The buildings that were destroyed during the battle were rebuilt and everything seemed to be back to normal. Lately though, when Wyatt and his siblings were out in the kingdom, they would hear the other Crystal Koopas talk about the other Koopa races. Some would say that the other Koopas looked interesting. Others said they'd like to meet more of them.
Wyatt would always smile whenever he heard those comments.
After hearing another positive comment, Wyatt looked at his siblings and said, "See? This is why we need to remove the barrier!"
Vendetta frowned as they walked inside the castle. "I'm still not sure."
Wyatt's jaw dropped. "Oh come on, sis! We need this to happen!"
Sophia smiled. "I thought that Wendy girl was nice."
"Right?" Wyatt said. "She's so nice, cool, cute, and… she's amazing! They all are!"
Jack smirked and replied, "I'm sorry. Did you just say that she's cute?"
Wyatt's cheeks flushed. "N-No! I didn't!" He quickly said.
Giggling, Diamond replied, "Oh yes you did!"
Wyatt quickly walked ahead of his siblings as they continued to laugh. The kids walked past the meeting room and saw their parents and the guards beginning to walk out. The kids turned around and Wyatt walked over to their mother.
"Mom? Are you gonna whisper to your shard today?" He asked.
"No, not yet." Alora replied.
Vendetta chuckled. "You might have to remove the barrier so Wyatt can see his girlfriend."
Onyx smirked and raised an eyebrow at his son. "Girlfriend? Which one of those girls caught your eye?"
"That Dragon Koopa girl with the pink and white bow." Jack said.
Wyatt's face began to turn red. "Wendy isn't my girlfriend!"
The rest of his siblings laughed again, making Wyatt grumble and walk away as his face grew even redder.
In the Koopa Kingdom, Iggy was in the lab working on a robot. He decided to take a break from designing his interdimensional ray gun to design a new robot for Bowser's next invasion. This robot was going to be large and would launch rockets and fire lasers. Iggy giggled to himself as he imagined the robot attacking Mario and Luigi. He placed his pencil down on the table and examined at the blueprints.
"It looks good. Now I just have to build it."
"Iggy," Lemmy said as he entered the lab. "it's time for lunch."
"Alright." Iggy stood up and placed the blueprints back on the table.
He and Lemmy walked out of the lab and down the hall. After a moment, Iggy froze. Lemmy turned around and faced his younger brother.
"What's wrong, Iggy?"
Iggy replied, "I have to go to my room and check something."
"Can't it wait?" Lemmy wondered.
Iggy shook his head. "I'm too curious."
Lemmy followed Iggy upstairs. When they got there, they made their way to Iggy's room. Iggy opened the door and glanced at his nightstand. The crystal shard Alora gave him three months ago was still the same and not glowing. Seeing this, Iggy frowned and closed his door.
Lemmy patted Iggy's arm and gave him a smile. "Don't worry, Iggy. The shard will glow brightly very soon!"
Iggy sighed. "I hope so. I really wanna see Wyatt and the other Crystal Koopas again."
The two walked away from Iggy's room and made their way back downstairs. They joined their family in the dining hall and sat down to eat their lunch.
The next day in Shellshard Canyon, the royal family was greeting the citizens as they strolled through the Shardfall Cascades.
Alora smiled. "Today is such a lovely day!"
Onyx kissed her cheek. "Yeah, it is."
They saw a few children playing near the water. A girl said, "The Sea Koopas look so cool!"
A boy then said, "I love the wings on the Para Koopas!"
Alora and Onyx smiled to themselves. Wyatt then looked at his parents with pleading eyes, making Onyx sigh.
"Please be patient, Wyatt." Onyx said.
"I'm doing my best." He replied.
Onyx patted him on the back. "I know how much you want to see your other friends."
"When will you guys be ready to take down the barrier and open the boarders?" Wyatt asked.
Onyx replied, "I'm not sure, but everyone should remain patient."
Wyatt groaned, which made Alora chuckle a little.
Alora looked at Wyatt and said, "I promise it'll be worth the wait."
A week later, Wyatt was leaving the dining room after eating a snack. He was walking by the meeting room when he heard voices on the other side. Wyatt leaned his head against the door to listen intently, his curiosity growing.
Inside the room, Onyx, Alora, and their advisors sat around the table. An elderly Crystal Koopa with gray skin looked at Onyx.
"Your Majesty, I know the prince really wants to interact with the other Koopa, but revealing ourselves too soon could risk everything our ancestors built."
Onyx replied, "I understand completely, Joseph. But, lately, I've been thinking. Hiding forever… are we truly keeping our people safe? Or are we stunting them, teaching fear?"
Alora added, "The other Koopas did prove themselves three months ago."
Onyx nodded. He chuckled and said, "I was prepared to fight them if they were lying."
A second advisor with light blue skin leaned forward and said, "The world is unpredictable. Look at what happened before the Shellsplit. Do you want to risk another war over hope?"
Everyone in the room was silent. Wyatt's heart pounded in his chest as he waited for a response.
Finally, Alora said, "I know that the Dragon Koopas haven't been the kindest to us in the past. But… meeting with them. Talking with them. Fighting alongside them… I truly want to believe and trust them, along with the Para and Sea Koopas."
A third advisor asked, "Are you certain it's time?"
Onyx and Alora looked at each other. With a smile, they looked at their advisors and said, "Yes."
Everyone then heard Wyatt outside the room loudly cheering, "YES! WOOHOO!" He quickly covered his mouth when he heard a few of the advisors laughing.
After giggling, Alora reached into her shell and pulled out her crystal shard. Holding it up to her lips, she closed her eyes and whispered, "We're ready."
Iggy and his family returned to the castle after a few kart races in the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser Jr. grinned as he carried his gold trophy.
"I can't believe I slipped on a banana peel at the last second…" Larry grumbled.
Junior laughed, making his older brother's irritation grow.
Iggy chuckled and said, "Now that the races are other, I'm gonna go rest in my room."
"I'm gonna go to the game room and play some video games." Larry said.
The kids then went their separate ways. Iggy walked up the stairs and headed for his bedroom.
When he made it to the door, he noticed a bright light on the other side. This made Iggy raise an eyebrow.
"Did I leave something on?" He wondered.
Iggy opened the door and walked inside. When he looked around the room, he gasped as his eyes landed on the nightstand. The shard that Alora gave him was finally glowing! It was a beautiful, bright red light. Grinning, Iggy rushed over to grab the shard and ran out of his room.
"Guys! Guys, it finally happened!"
There's one more chapter after this!
The Shellsplit Festival
Here it is! The final chapter! I hope you enjoy it :D
A month went by since Onyx and Alora removed the barrier and wall, revealing the Crystal Koopas to the world. The Crystal Koopas began visiting the other Koopa kingdoms in person, much to the other Koopas' shock and amazement. The other Koopas also visited Shellshard Canyon. Today, all of the rulers of the main four Koopa Kingdom races met up at Bowser's castle. The kings and queens were sitting and talking together in the Great Hall.
Sighing happily, Clawdia remarked, "It's so nice to have all four races together."
Alora smiled. "I agree." She added, "Our kids are also happy about it."
Clawdia giggled. "Iggy and Wyatt are definitely happy to see each other in person!"
"A few Crystal Koopas are staying in one of the hotels in Scalebay." Wade said.
Aura replied, "A few are currently visiting Paraflare Peaks!"
Bowser smiled slightly as he glanced around at everyone. Finally! All four of the original Koopa Kingdom Koopas were together again. He was already happy to meet and form an alliance with the Sea Koopas and Para Koopas. But now, after the Crystal Koopas finally chose to remove their wall and barrier, Bowser was ecstatic! If his child self could see this, he'd be bouncing off the walls!
Bowser snapped out of his thoughts when he and the others heard Neil gasp.
"What's wrong, Neil?" Aura asked.
Neil grinned as he flapped his wings. "I have a great idea!"
"What is it?" Bowser wondered.
Neil replied, "We should have a festival to celebrate all Koopa races, even the ones not native to the Koopa Kingdom! We can even celebrate the Koopa hybrids!"
Clawdia gasped and said, "It is a great idea, Neil!" Alora and Onyx nodded in agreement.
"Hmm. What should we call the festival?" Cordelia wondered.
Everyone sat and thought it over. A moment later, Neil spoke up.
"How about The Shellsplit Festival?"
"Oh. Would that be an appropriate name?" Alora asked.
Neil responded, "I know it's kinda weird, but maybe we could reclaim the meaning of the Shellsplit and turn it into something positive."
Bowser thought it over for a minute. "It does make sense…" He slowly smiled. "We can have the festival right here in the Koopa Kingdom."
"Yeah!" Wade chuckled. "Makes sense. The original conflict happened here."
Onyx smiled. "A festival would be exciting!"
Weeks went by since that day. Iggy was currently in his room, grinning as he looked out of his window. The area near the castle and around Koopa Valley was filled with decorations and many different Koopas and hybrids. Giggling, he rushed out of his room. His siblings were making their way out of their rooms as he ran by.
"Iggy, slow down!" Ludwig called out.
Iggy stopped and giggled some more. "I'm too excited!"
The others followed Iggy downstairs to see their parents leaving the throne room. Bowser Jr. made his way over to them.
"Mom! Dad! Is it finally time for the festival to start?" He asked.
Bowser smirked. "Yep!"
The Koopa family walked outside and greeted a few Koopa Troopas and Magikoopas. Iggy grinned as he spotted Tiana and her family near a snack table. While they were distracted, Iggy slowly crept up to Tiana and hugged her from behind. He smirked when he heard Tiana gasp. Once he let her go, Tiana turned around and gave Iggy a smile.
"Iggy! I was just getting ready to look for you and your siblings!" said Tiana.
Iggy chuckled and kissed her cheek. Tiana's sister and brothers saw this and pretended to throw up, making her roll her eyes. Iggy looked at Tiana's parents and smiled.
"Hi guys! I hope you all have a great time today!" Iggy said.
Tyra smiled. "Everything looks amazing!"
"Yeah!" Tony exclaimed. "Everyone is having a great time so far!"
After talking with Tiana's parents, Iggy took Tiana's hand and led her over to another table where his siblings were standing next to.
"Iggy!"
The kids turned around after hearing a girl call Iggy's name. The group turned to their right and saw Sharon along with the rest of her siblings and parents.
"Hey there!" Clawdeen and Langston greeted their niece and nephews.
Sharon looked at Iggy. "I still can't believe that all of the Koopa races are together now!"
Iggy smiled at his younger cousin. "I know right? It's fantastic!"
The group then heard a voice say, "Hey guys!"
Turing around, they saw Sierra and Hudson approaching them, with their parents going over to Bowser and Clawdia. Sky and his parents arrived two minutes later. Aura and Neil followed Clawdeen and Langston to the other parents while Sky joined the kids. Sky looked around the area.
"Everything looks awesome!" He said.
"Yeah, it does!" Morton replied.
Iggy smiled, but then, he frowned. He looked around at everyone nearby. "Where is…?"
His phone then dinged. Pulling it out of his shell, Iggy saw a text message that told him to turn around. When he did, Iggy gasped and smiled.
Wyatt and his family have finally arrived!
"Hello everyone." Alora and Onyx greeted the kids.
"Hello!" The kids responded.
"I was starting to think you weren't coming." Wendy remarked.
Onyx laughed. "We weren't going to miss this festival!"
Alora smiled and replied, "We'll be joining the other parents. You kids have fun!"
When Onyx and Alora walked away, Iggy grinned and hugged Wyatt.
"I'm so glad that you're here!"
Wyatt chuckled as he hugged Iggy back. "I could barely sleep last night just thinking about the festival!"
As the two let go, Vendetta laughed.
"Imagine King Obsidian seeing this."
Alex laughed along with her and replied, "Right! Especially the hybrids! He'd probably burn the kingdom down!"
Tiana giggled. She then looked at the others and said, "I wish Jasmine and the girls could've came. They'd have so much fun!"
"Me too." Ludwig replied. "Even though there are some humans living here, the girls said they wanted this first festival to focus on all Koopas and Koopa hybrids." Ludwig added, "But they said they'll definitely come to the next one."
"Hey!"
The kids turned around after hearing Bowser's voice coming from a speaker. They saw Bowser holding a microphone as he looked at the large crowd.
"Quiet down!" Bowser shouted. Once the voices died down, Bowser cleared his throat. "Years ago in this kingdom, King Obsidian started The Great Koopa War, also called the Shellsplit. A lot of Koopas were hurt and suffered during that time and my ancestors were dead wrong for it."
Bowser then said, "Koopas come in all shapes and sizes, with wings, fins, crystals, magic, and attitudes." He side eyed a few of his kids, who smiled sheepishly. Bowser continued. "Our kids did something us adults didn't want to do and found the Crystal Koopas. And I'm proud of them."
He looked around at everyone again. "Today, every Koopa — Dragon, Sea, Para, Crystal, or anything else — stands together. As neighbors. As allies. As friends." Bowser then grinned. "Now, let's celebrate!"
The crowd erupted into cheers and applause. Wyatt and Iggy grinned at each other.
"Hey. You wanna try ring toss?" Iggy asked.
Wyatt nodded and replied, "Sure!"
The Dragon and Crystal Koopa princes laughed as they rushed over to the game.
And that's it! I'm gonna be honest, I feel like this story could've been a little better. Some chapters I wish were a little longer. And I could be wrong, but I feel like certain parts were rushed. But I still enjoyed writing this :) Along with "Jasmine Meets the Koopas", I plan on writing a new story, another about Iggy and Tiana. I'm debating on whether or not to post one of those next Monday on my birthday.
Well, I hope you all have a great rest of your day :D
