Ludwig's Empire

Hello everyone! Here's a new story! I had this idea a few days ago. I hope you all enjoy it!

King Bowser, the ruler of the Koopa Kingdom, was in the throne room, pacing back and forth. His wife, Queen Clawdia, was going to lay their egg any day now. He was excited to have another kid, but also a little nervous. Sure, they always wanted a big family, but they never imagined that they would have 7, soon to be 8 children! That's a lot! Bowser took a deep breath and sat down on his throne.

"We'll be fine. Everything's gonna be cool, Bowser."

"King Dad?" Bowser looked up and saw his eldest son and crown prince, Ludwig, standing at the entrance of the throne room. Ludwig walked closer to his father and looked up at him.

"Are you alright? You seem nervous." He said.

"Yeah. Just thinking about your little brother or sister." Bowser replied.

"I can't believe we're getting another sibling!" Ludwig grinned.

Bowser chuckled and patted Ludwig on the head. "You think it's a boy or a girl?"

"A boy! Wendy's still hoping it's a girl." Ludwig replied.

"Well, whatever we have, I know you all will love and protect them." Bowser smiled him.

"Yeah! I know we'll get along great!" Ludwig replied.

Bowser and Ludwig turned towards the entrance when they heard Kamek rushing inside on his broomstick.

"Kamek? What's wrong?" Bowser asked.

"It's the Queen! She laid the egg!" Kamek exclaimed.

"Already?!" Bowser asked.

"Yes, your highness! Come quickly!" Kamek replied. Bowser grabbed Ludwig's hand and they made their way out of the throne room.

"Wow!" Larry exclaimed as he stared at the egg inside of the incubator in his parents room. Everyone arrived once they learned that the egg was laid. Wendy walked over to the incubator and put her hand on it.

"Oh, I hope it's a girl. I really want a little sister!" Wendy said.

"You're gonna have to wait and see, sweetie." Clawdia giggled.

"But it's gonna take forever!" Wendy whined.

"Don't worry. The weeks will go by so fast! Then, you all will have your new baby brother or sister!" Clawdia smiled.

"Alright kids. Go play so your mom can rest." Bowser said. The kids nodded and left the room. Ludwig looked back and took one more look at the egg before leaving.

Weeks went by and the Koopalings couldn't wait any longer to meet their new sibling. They would always go to their parents room to look at the egg, but would be disappointed to see no cracks in it. They tried their best to be patient, but it was getting harder and harder every day. One day, the Koopalings were in the game room watching a movie, trying not to think about the egg. Ludwig was losing interest in the movie, so he decided to read a book instead.

Halfway through the movie, a Koopa Troopa ran through the halls and made his way into the game room, out of breath.

"Are you alright?" Lemmy asked. After catching his breath, the Koopa Troopa began to speak.

"There you all are! Lord Bowser and Queen Clawdia need you in their room right away!" The Koopa Troopa said. The kids looked at each other and grinned.

"Is it finally happening?" Wendy wondered.

"Let's find out!" Larry said. The others nodded and they rushed out of the game room.

Once the Koopalings entered the room, they all gasped. There was finally a crack in the egg! Then, another appeared.

"Oh my gosh! This is so exciting!" Wendy cheered.

The baby's right leg popped out, and then the left arm. Soon, the baby was finally out of the egg.

"It's a boy!" Bowser cheered, making Wendy pout and the boys cheer. Clawdia cleaned the baby off and wrapped him in a blanket. Bowser took a closer look at the baby in Clawdia's arms and his eyes widened. The baby looked exactly like him when he was a baby.

Clawdia gave their newborn son a kiss on the forehead.

"He's so precious!" She smiled.

"He… He looks just like me." Bowser whispered. Clawdia handed the baby to Bowser. The baby stared at his father for a few seconds and giggled.

"What should we name him, dear?" Clawdia asked. Bowser smiled softly at the baby before looking at his wife.

"Bowser Jr." He said.

"Bowser Jr. That's perfect for him!" Clawdia smiled.

"Can we hold him?" Lemmy asked. Bowser continued to stare at the baby.

"… Daddy?" Wendy said. Bowser blinked and looked at the other kids.

"Oh right. Sorry. You wanna hold him first, Ludwig?" Bowser asked.

"Um, sure." Ludwig stared at his new baby brother once he held him. Junior stared back at him, and then tried to reach for Ludwig's hair.

"Aww, he already likes you! You two are going to get along so well!" Clawdia smiled.

"Hehe yeah." Ludwig replied and carefully handed Junior to Lemmy.

A month later, all of the Koopalings made their way to the game room to relax and get away from Junior's loud crying. Roy tried to drown the crying out by playing some music, but they could still hear him.

"Ugh, this is annoying!" Roy yelled.

"Yeah! It's cool having a little brother, but Junior seems to cry a lot!" Larry exclaimed.

"And Daddy only pays attention to him! What about me?!" Wendy added.

"Guys, he's a baby. Babies need more attention." Ludwig said.

"Well, I'm starting to think King Dad has a favorite!" Larry replied.

"What? No he doesn't!" Ludwig said.

"Oh come on, Lud! Ever since Dad saw Junior, he's treated him like he's the best thing ever!" Morton explained.

"Morty's right! I mean, I was always Daddy's favorite! Now this kid is replacing me!" Wendy whined, making her brothers groan and roll their eyes.

"You're wrong! Dad doesn't have a favorite! He loves us all the same!" Ludwig yelled. Sighing, he picked up a book and began to read.

Hello everyone! So, I was supposed to work on this chapter yesterday, but my aunt came over and then she asked me to go to the store with her. And earlier today, the wifi wasn't working. But now it is! So now I'm working on this! I hope you all like this one!

"Good job, Junior!" Bowser cheered. Ludwig peeked out into the hallway after hearing his father's voice.

"Dad?" Ludwig said. Bowser looked at him, smiling.

"Guess what Lud? Your little brother waved!" Bowser grinned.

"… Really? That's it?" Ludwig asked.

"Haha yeah! I'm so proud of him!" Bowser replied. He sniffed the air, and glanced at Junior.

"Woah! I guess it's time for someone to get changed. Wave bye-bye to Ludwig, kiddo." Bowser chuckled. Junior giggled and waved as Bowser walked away. Ludwig sighed and closed his bedroom door.

"It's been a year since he was born and nothing's changed." Ludwig walked over to his desk. He sat down and flipped through his sheet music until he found a blank page.

Ludwig decided to work on a new song to take his mind off of things. Unfortunately, he just couldn't stop thinking about his baby brother.

"The others were right. Dad does have a favorite." Ludwig whispered to himself. He shook his head and tried to write.

"This is silly! Why am I jealous of a toddler?" He exclaimed. He sat his pen down, stood up, and lied down on his bed. Ludwig closed his eyes and tried to take a nap.

Years have passed and most of the Koopalings are now adults. Some have moved out of the castle and live in their own, while others still live with Bowser, Clawdia, and Junior. Ludwig, now 21 years old, was in the ballroom playing a new song on his piano. He was enjoying his time alone, away from everyone, until a Koopa Troopa entered the ballroom.

"Uh Prince Ludwig? Lord Bowser is making an announcement in a few minutes. He wants everyone in the throne room." The Koopa Troopa said.

"Oh. Alright." Once the Koopa Troopa left, Ludwig put his sheet music away and made his way to the throne room where his parents and siblings were waiting.

"Great! Everyone's here! I have great news!" Bowser said.

"What is it, Daddy?" Wendy asked. Bowser looked at his children and smiled.

"Today, I am no longer the King of the Koopas! I'm stepping down!" Bowser replied, making his children gasp.

"W-What!? Are you serious?" Iggy asked.

"Yep!" Bowser replied.

"If you're no longer King, then… Will one of us take your place?" Morton asked.

"Yeah! And I'm gonna announce who will right now!" Bowser said.

"Wait. Is… Is it me? It's finally happening?!" Ludwig thought. His smile quickly fell once Bowser made his announcement.

"Junior will be Darkland's new king!"

"Really? Alright!" Junior cheered.

"Junior?!" Wendy exclaimed.

"But he's still a kid!" Roy added.

"Dad, please!", Ludwig walked closer to Bowser. "There must be some mistake! I-I'm the oldest! I should be next in line for the throne! I should be king!" Ludwig cried.

"Lud, I made my decision! Junior is your new king." Bowser said.

"I will not take orders from a child!" Ludwig growled.

"Well too bad, Ludwig! I'm the king now! And you guys have to do whatever I say! Hahahaha!" Junior laughed.

"No…", Ludwig backed away. "No! This can't be happening!" Ludwig screamed. Bowser Jr laughed harder as Ludwig fell to his knees.

"No! I was always meant to be king! I'm the oldest! NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"

Ludwig woke up with a gasp, breathing heavily. He looked around and slowly realized that he was in his bedroom. Ludwig tried his best to calm down, but he couldn't stop shaking from that nightmare.

"It was just a dream… It was all a dream." Ludwig said, trying to calm himself. After a few more minutes, Ludwig was able to breathe normally and his heart stopped racing.

"Ok. Everything's ok." He said to himself. Ludwig sat on his bed for a couple of seconds and got up. He made his way to the kitchen to get some tea.

Ludwig made his tea and sat at the table in the dining hall. He smiled as he took his first sip, almost forgetting about his dream. Then, Ludwig was reminded of it when he saw Clawdia enter the dining hall with Junior in her arms.

"Oh, I didn't know you were here too, Lulu." Clawdia said. Junior tried to reach for Ludwig, making Clawdia smile.

"Hey Lulu? Since he seems to want you to hold him, can you watch Junior for a second while I get his lunch ready?" She asked.

"S-Sure." Ludwig replied, forcing a smile. After handing Junior to Ludwig, Clawdia made her way to the kitchen.

Ludwig and Bowser Jr stared at each other for a moment. Junior tried grabbing Ludwig's hair, but Ludwig moved his hand away.

"I don't care how cute you are or if our father favors you. You'll never be king!" Ludwig whispered to him. Junior laughed as a response to that.

As the years went by, Bowser has proven more and more the Koopalings' suspicions. They knew that Bowser still loved and cared about them, but he would spend more time with Bowser Jr. He even took Junior on kidnapping missions. On one hand, the Koopalings didn't care, since they were able to rest and do things that they enjoyed like play video games or listen to their favorite music. On the other hand, they felt like Bowser didn't have any faith in them and thought that Bowser Jr was a better choice to defeat the Mario Bros.

Eventually, Bowser asked the Koopalings for help on kidnapping Princess Peach again, but as usual, Mario and Luigi defeated them and rescued the princess. Bowser was disappointed, but he was ready to make plans for his next mission. As the months went by, Bowser invaded the Mushroom Kingdom again, but this time, he kidnapped Peach and Daisy, who tried to stop him. While waiting on Mario's and Luigi's arrival, Bowser learned that a girl, named Jasmine, came from the real world and was helping the brothers rescue the princesses. Ludwig, who was in the middle of composing his music, was ordered to kidnap the girl and bring her to the castle.

Ludwig learned that Jasmine was 18 years old, just like him. He thought that she looked weak and it'd be very easy to kidnap her. He was right, but eventually, he found Jasmine very annoying. His annoyance grew more once Jasmine and the princesses tried to escape and he brought Jasmine to his fortress and castle in Cloud World. She even flirted with him just to mess with him!

A few months later, Bowser kidnapped Jasmine while she was visiting everyone at Peach's castle and made her Ludwig's prisoner, much to their annoyance. Eventually, affter getting to know each other, Jasmine became friends with Junior, the other six Koopalings, and then Ludwig. She and Ludwig would hang out the most. They would either do fun things together in New York or in the Koopa Kingdom.

As time went on, Ludwig was the first to develop feelings, but he tried his best to deny it. One day, after winning a Tennis game against Luigi and Daisy, Ludwig asked Jasmine if she'd like to visit Meringue Clouds the next day. Jasmine accepted and the two friends couldn't wait to have more fun!

After picking Jasmine up from New York and sneaking over to his hidden Clown Car in Toad Town, Ludwig and Jasmine made their way to Meringue Clouds. Ludwig smiled as he helped Jasmine out of the Clown Car.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" Jasmine said as she looked around.

"I'll take you on a tour." He said.

"Uh Ludwig? Y'know you're still in your human disguise right?" Jasmine asked. Ludwig smiled and rubbed the back of his head.

"Oh, I guess I forgot." He replied, while blushing.

"Hmm. Now that I'm looking, I think you look kinda cute as a human." Jasmine said, making him blush even more.

"Really?" Ludwig asked.

"Yeah. You look very handsome, but I think you look a lot cuter as a Koopa." Jasmine replied.

"Well then…" Ludwig grabbed his wand, casted a spell, and turned himself back to normal.

"Better?" Ludwig smirked.

"Haha. Yeah!" Jasmine laughed.

"Now, we can start the tour." Ludwig said as he held her hand.

Jasmine waved to the Koopa Troopas, Sledge Bros, and Rocky Wrenches that were outside. Everyone bowed down to Ludwig as they walked around.

"Wow! They really love and respect you, don't they?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah. It kinda makes me feel like a king." Ludwig sighed.

"But, you'll be the next king of Darkland, right?" Jasmine asked. They stopped in their tracks and Ludwig stared at the clouds underneath them.

"Well, I'm not so sure anymore after Junior came along. I think Father wants him to be the next king." Ludwig sighed again.

"Ludwig…" Jasmine knelt down and looked at him.

"I'm sure you'd be a great king! Who knows, maybe Bowser will surprise you and you'll be king of the Koopa Kingdom." Jasmine said and gave him a smile. Ludwig smiled back.

"Yeah. Thank you Jasmine." Ludwig replied. She took his hand and they continued walking.

Once they arrived at the castle, Ludwig gave Jasmine a tour inside. Jasmine was amazed by everything, but she loved the ballroom the most. After mentioning how fun it'd be to have a dance there, Ludwig granted her that wish by getting some servants to play music for them, give them fancy outfits, and the two danced together. Later on, the two stayed in the castle and had dinner. After their dinner, they went to a different room to watch tv.

A few minutes later as they talked, Jasmine heard rain outside. Then, they heard loud thunder and the rain began to pour even harder. Jasmine and Ludwig walked over to the window and looked outside.

"I guess we won't be heading back home anytime soon." Jasmine said.

It started to get late and the rain was still pouring hard. Since it seemed like the rain wasn't stopping at any moment, Ludwig and Jasmine had to spend the night in the castle, making them both blush. Ludwig took Jasmine to a nearby bathroom so she could get ready. A few minutes later, she walked out, now wearing a light blue nightgown that the Magikoopas gave her. After leading her to the guest rooms, Ludwig made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

A few minutes later, Ludwig yawned as he walked out of the bathroom. Before heading to his room, he went to check on Jasmine. He slowly opened the door and peeked inside. He smiled as he looked at her.

"She's already asleep. Jasmine looks so peaceful." Ludwig took one more look, closed the door, and went into the room next door.

Ludwig closed the door and walked over to the bed. He yawned again as he lied down and pulled the blanket over himself. As he tried to fall asleep, he thought back to their conversation while walking through Meringue Clouds.

"Maybe she's right. Maybe Father will make me king someday. I should just stay hopeful." Ludwig whispered to himself. He yawned again, closed his eyes, and slowly fell asleep.

I'm finally back with a new chapter! I hope you all enjoy it :D Since the story now takes place a year later, some fan characters like Tammy will appear, and obviously, they're all a year older. So now, Ludwig is 19 years old! One year later

Ludwig was making his way to the Darkland Library, returning a mystery book that his younger cousin Sandra recommended. Ludwig smiled as he glanced down at the book in his left hand. He really enjoyed the story! He ran his right hand through his hair, feeling the small horns that were starting to grow. Ludwig smiled, enjoying the cool breeze. As he got closer to the library, his smile widened when he saw two familiar Koopas exiting the building.

"Tiana! Tammy!" Ludwig greeted Iggy's girlfriend and their 1 year old daughter.

"Oh hi Ludwig!" Tiana replied. Tammy smiled at Ludwig and giggled.

After giving his little niece a kiss on the forehead, Ludwig looked away from Tammy and at Tiana.

"So, how are you two today?" Ludwig asked.

"We're great! I picked out a new book to read to Tammy." Tiana replied, holding up a children's book with a Goomba and Koopa Troopa on the cover.

"I'm sure she'll love it! I'm actually returning a book." Ludwig replied.

"Cool! Well, I guess we'll see you later. Iggy and Lemmy bought Tammy a new toy, and they're excited to see her reaction to it." Tiana chuckled.

"Great! See you guys!" Ludwig said and watched the two leave. He then entered the library to return the book.

After returning the book, Ludwig made his way back to the castle. Once he walked inside, a few servants greeted him as he walked by. Ludwig smiled and waved back at them. He decided to go to the ballroom to play one of his songs on the piano. Before he got to the ballroom though, he heard Bowser's voice coming from the throne room. Feeling curious, he hid behind a wall and listened to his father.

"Even though we lost to those plumbers, I'm still proud of you, son!" Bowser said.

"Thanks Papa! When I grow up, I wanna be as strong as you!" Bowser Jr cheered.

"Ah. He's talking to Junior again." Ludwig thought.

Ludwig was about to continue on his way, but froze when he heard something Bowser said.

"Haha! I know you will! Heh, I bet you'll even be a great king like your old man someday!"

"No… NO! King!?" Ludwig backed away from the throne room. He took a few deep breaths, hoping to calm himself down. Unfortunately, it didn't work. He gritted his teeth in anger and ran out of the castle.

"I can't believe this! King!? Is Father seriously thinking about making that kid his successor?!" Ludwig said as he continued running.

Ludwig ran out of Darkland and through the other nearby worlds. He couldn't believe it! Bowser Jr? King?! That was insane!

"This can't be happening! This can't be happening!" Ludwig yelled.

After running for some time, Ludwig arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom. He made his way through Toad Town, almost knocking down a few Toads. He stopped running when he made it to a house with a blue roof. He knocked on the door, waiting for the person on the other side to open it. A minute later, Jasmine, his girlfriend, opened the door.

"Hi Luddy!" She greeted. Her smile disappeared when she saw how angry and upset he was.

"Ludwig? What's the matter?" She asked as she let him inside. Ludwig shook his head and glared at the floor.

"… I heard my father talking to Junior. He told him that he'd be a great king just like him!" Ludwig exclaimed.

"Oh Ludwig…" Jasmine frowned.

"I can't believe this! I mean, Junior is a child! I'm the oldest!" Ludwig yelled, his anger and jealousy growing.

After thinking for a moment, Jasmine spoke again. "Wait. What if he means that Junior would be a king in a different kingdom? Maybe he'd marry a princess and they'd be king and queen."

"Pfff! I doubt it! He's made it clear that Junior is his favorite!" Ludwig scoffed.

"Ludwig, just because Bowser said Junior would be a great king, doesn't mean that he's making Junior the crown prince." Jasmine replied.

"Oh come on, Jasmine! Do you really believe that?!" Ludwig exclaimed. Jasmine sighed and walked closer to him.

"I just think that you should stay positive. I mean, who cares if Junior's the next king of Darkland? I-"

"I CARE, JASMINE! I'm the oldest of my siblings! I'm the crown prince! Not Junior! I should be the next king!" Ludwig screamed. Jasmine backed away slightly.

"I-I'm sorry, Ludwig. I just meant… You're amazing. Everyone in the Koopa Kingdom loves and respects you. They always will, whether you're king, prince, or even a Baron." Jasmine explained.

"Baron. The lowest title. That's what I am in Meringue Clouds, but I despise being called that!" Ludwig replied. Jasmine could tell that Ludwig was still upset.

"Ludwig," Jasmine walked closer, "Why don't I make us some tea? I'm sure it'll help you relax, and we can talk about this calmly?"

Ludwig turned away from Jasmine, and walked over to her door.

"I don't need tea right now." He said. He turned the doorknob and opened it.

"Where are you going, Luddy?" Jasmine asked.

"… To the clouds. I need to think. Goodbye Jasmine." Ludwig replied.

"Ludwig, wait!" Jasmine called out to him. Ludwig then left her home.

Jasmine stood there, quietly staring at the door that Ludwig walked out of. After standing for a few more minutes, Jasmine sighed and sat down on the couch. She took her phone out of her pocket and went to her messages. She scrolled down slightly until she found Ludwig's name. As she clicked on their messages, Jasmine hesitated. Should she text him right now?

After thinking for a moment, Jasmine sat her phone down next to her.

"I should give him some space. He's still pretty mad right now." Jasmine said to herself. She picked up her remote and turned on the tv. As she watched a movie, she sighed again as she thought about her boyfriend.

"Ludwig, I hope you'll be ok."

Ludwig stormed out of the Mushroom Kingdom and passed through the nearby worlds.

"I can't believe this!" Ludwig grumbled as he walked through Layer Cake Desert.

"Junior? King?! I refuse to follow orders from a child!" He exclaimed.

Ludwig eventually made his way to Meringue Clouds. He walked around the world, trying his best to calm down.

"There has to be something I can do! How can I convince Father that I'm the rightful heir?"

"I'm the right choice. I should be King." Ludwig said.

Ludwig walked through Meringue Clouds, lost in thought.

An hour later, Ludwig was still walking on the clouds, thinking of what to do. He left Meringue Clouds and walked through the Cloud Kingdom.

"What can I do..?" He whispered. Then, while lost in thought, Ludwig heard voices up ahead.

"Huh?" Ludwig snapped out of it and looked ahead. There, he saw many different people, Toads, Goombas, and Lakitus walking out of their homes and shopping. There were also a few short, detached, hair-like clouds around the area.

"What is this place?" Ludwig thought.

Ludwig slowly walked closer to the town and saw a sign nearby.

"Welcome to the Cirrus Kingdom." Ludwig read. He also saw a map next to the sign. The Cirrus Kingdom was in the south, the Cumulus Kingdom was in the east, the Stratus Kingdom was in the west, and the Nimbus Kingdom was in the north.

"Four different kingdoms in one area. Wait… Is-Is this place…?"

Ludwig took a step forward, but stopped.

"Maybe I should be in my human disguise. Just to not scare anyone here." After making sure no one was looking, Ludwig took out his wand and used his magic to turn himself into a human. He hid his wand near the sign and entered the Cirrus Kingdom.

Ludwig looked around the Cirrus Kingdom, admiring the sights. A few Lakitus flew past, going into the nearby stores.

"This is amazing!" Ludwig smiled. As he looked around some more, Ludwig felt a small hand tap him.

Turning around, Ludwig saw two children, around 10 years old, in royal attire. The boy wore a gold crown, a green shirt with a brooch, light blue pants, and white shoes. The girl also wore a gold crown, but wore an orange dress with a brooch. The two children smiled at him.

"Hello!" The boy greeted.

Ludwig gave them a small smile. "Hello."

"We've never seen you around here before. Are you visiting the Cloud Empire?" The girl asked.

"I knew it! This is the Cloud Empire!" Ludwig thought.

"Yes, I am." He replied.

"I'm Princess Skyla, and this is my twin brother, Prince Cyrus." Skyla smiled.

"It's nice to meet you two. I'm… Lewis." Ludwig replied, choosing to use a fake name Jasmine gave him a year ago while in his disguise.

"It's very nice to meet you! Welcome to the Cloud Empire!" Skyla said.

"There you two are!" They heard a voice call out. Walking towards them was a man with a goatee and wearing a gold crown, dark blue shirt with a cloud brooch, a white belt, gray pants, a blue and white cape, and black shoes.

The woman with him wore a gold crown, white cloud earrings, and a puffy cloud-like dress with a cloud brooch. Ludwig noticed that the man and woman had the same light brown skin and curly black hair as Cyrus and Skyla.

"Mom! Dad!" Cyrus called out. Their parents ran over to them and hugged the children.

"We've been looking all over for you two!" The father exclaimed.

"You shouldn't run off!" The mother frowned slightly.

Their parents soon noticed Ludwig there and smiled.

"Oh hello there. I'm Emperor Skyler and this is my wife, Empress Amaya." Skyler greeted.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesties." Ludwig replied and bowed slightly.

"This is Lewis. He's visiting the empire today!" Cyrus explained.

"Really? Well, how would you like a tour around the empire, Lewis?" Amaya asked.

"That sounds great!" Ludwig replied. Cyrus and Skyla grabbed his hands and the royal family began the tour.

Ludwig saw the many citizens of the Cloud Empire and interesting areas in each kingdom. His favorite place was the concert hall in the Cumulus Kingdom, where orchestras were usually held. He also learned that the emperor and empress stay in the castle in the Nimbus Kingdom along with their children. The other three kingdoms are ruled by a King and Queen, a Prince, and a Princess. The emperor and empress also have more control than the other monarchs.

After spending time in the Cloud Empire, it was time for Ludwig to head home. He said goodbye to the royal family and made his way back to the entrance of the Cirrus Kingdom. He picked up his wand and turned himself back to normal. He put his wand back inside of his shell and made his way through the Cloud Kingdom. As he walked, Ludwig began to think.

"The Cloud Empire is amazing! It's even more beautiful than Meringue Clouds!"

He thought about bringing Jasmine to the Cloud Empire for a trip someday. She'd love it! Then, when Ludwig returned to Meringue Clouds, a thought came to him.

"Wait. That place is an empire! It's ruled by an emperor! An emperor… That's a higher title than king!" Ludwig began to grin as he got an idea.

"I'll show them! If Father wants Junior to be king, I'll prove that I'm better than him!" Ludwig's grin widened as he made his way back to the Koopa Kingdom.

"You look like you're in a better mood today, Luddy!" Jasmine said. Two days have passed since Ludwig stormed out of Jasmine's house and left the Mushroom Kingdom. She decided to give him some space to calm down. Today, they were hanging out in Bowser's Castle, watching tv in Ludwig's room.

Ludwig looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, I am. I'm sorry about the other day."

"I'm sorry too. I kinda made you angrier at one point." Jasmine chuckled softly.

"Well, I'm not angry anymore, so everything's fine." Ludwig gave Jasmine a kiss on the cheek, making them both slightly blush.

"I'm so glad you're feeling better, Ludwig." Jasmine smiled.

"Me too. You know, I don't even care if Junior becomes king." Ludwig replied, making Jasmine gasp.

"Wait really?" Ludwig nodded at her.

"Yes."

"So, you don't care if you stay a prince?" Jasmine asked.

"That's right!" Ludwig replied.

"Wow! I wonder what made him change his mind." Jasmine thought.

"I'm actually planning on something really big! Something even better than being king!" Ludwig said.

"Really? What is it?" Jasmine asked.

"It's a secret!" Ludwig chuckled.

"Aww really, Luddy? Not even a small hint?" Jasmine asked.

"Hehe. Nope. Everyone will have to wait and find out." Ludwig replied.

"Well, alright." Jasmine smiled and they went back to watching the tv show.

A month later, Ludwig asked a few of Bowser's soldiers to travel with him. The soldiers were a little confused, especially when they saw Ludwig in his human disguise, but followed his orders. After leaving Darkland, the Koopas arrived at Meringue Clouds, were Ludwig got a few Sledge Bros, Rocky Wrenches, and Koopa Troopas to also help them. Once everyone was ready, Ludwig walked through Meringue Clouds. As they walked on the clouds, one of the soldiers spoke up.

"Um, Prince Ludwig? What exactly are we doing?" The soldier asked.

"And why are you human?" Another soldier added.

"We are headed to the Cloud Empire. And to answer your other question, I was in my human disguise the last time I was there." Ludwig replied.

"Are we invading it?" A Koopa Troopa asked.

"Of course! And when we do, I'll be the new emperor!" Ludwig grinned.

"Wait! Lord Bowser isn't going to be new ruler?" A soldier wondered.

"Nope! This is my plan." Ludwig replied.

Ludwig smiled as they arrived in the Cloud Kingdom. They were getting closer and closer to the empire!

Emperor Skylar, Empress Amaya, and their two children were in the dining hall eating some Strawberry Shortcake. Cyrus and Skyla helped their mother bake it and they couldn't wait to taste it! The kids smiled as they took another bite of their delicious cake.

"This tastes so good! We did a great job!" Skyla cheered.

"Yeah! Can we make a chocolate cake next time, Mom?" Cyrus asked.

"Of course, dear." Amaya smiled at them.

As the family finished up their snack, they heard explosions coming from outside.

"What in the world?!" Skylar rushed over to the window, his wife and kids following behind him. The four of them gasped as they saw their citizens running around and screaming in fear.

"What's going on!?" Skyla exclaimed. They then saw a group of Koopa Troopas, Sledge Bros, and Rocky Wrenches heading towards the castle. Amaya looked closely and noticed something.

"I-Is that a human leading them?" She wondered.

"Why would a human be with Koopas?" Skylar asked.

The royal family then heard screams down the hall. They recognized some as the guards and others as the servants.

"Oh no! It sounds like they're getting closer! We should've left and hid!" Amaya exclaimed.

The doors to the dining hall opened, and the enemies rushed inside. Then, the family gasped as they recognized the human with them.

"L..Lewis?!" Skyla hesitated.

"Hm. I would've thought you'd be in the throne room." He said.

"W-What are you doing?! Why are you attacking our home?! We thought you were a good person, Lewis!" Skylar fumed.

"Lewis? Oh, that's not my real name." The four watched on in confusion as "Lewis" pulled out a wand. After casting a spell, the royal family gasped, seeing his true form.

"Y-You're Ludwig von Koopa! One of the Koopalings!" Amaya shrieked.

"That's right!" Ludwig chuckled.

"W-What are you doing here!?" Cyrus asked.

"You see, my father seems to favor my little brother, Junior. He may even make Junior his successor once he steps down, which is stupid. I'm the oldest! I should be king!" Ludwig began.

"What does that have to do with our kingdom?" Amaya asked.

"Skylar here is an emperor! Emperor is a higher title than King! So, I am going to become the new emperor of the Cloud Empire!" Ludwig explained, making Skylar gasp again.

"No! I'm not handing over my empire to you!" He yelled. The family then screamed as they began to levitate in the air, thanks to Ludwig's magic.

"It's too late! I've already won!" Ludwig laughed evilly. Still levitating the family, he walked out of the dining hall and through the castle, until he made it to the dungeon. He walked up to one of the cells and threw the four inside.

Before Skylar could run out of the cell, Ludwig quickly shut the door, grabbed the keys, and locked it.

"Now, I have to make some changes around the castle." Ludwig laughed again as he left the dungeon.

"What do we do?!" Amaya said, trying to comfort their children.

"We need to find a way out of here, but… I don't know if there is one." Skylar sighed.

"C-Can someone help us?" Skyla asked, wiping her tears away. Skylar and Amaya looked at each other, and back at their kids.

"I'm sure there's someone who would help us." Skylar replied.

"Like the Mario Bros?" Cyrus asked.

"Yes! Maybe they'll learn about what happened and save our kingdom!" Skylar replied. He smiled as he saw the hopeful looks on their children's faces.

"Yeah. We need someone like the Mario Brothers."

Hi everyone! So, I started working on this chapter on Thursday, but I stopped to go to my grandparents' house to help my grandmother with some stuff in her house. I had more to do there yesterday too and I was too tired to work on this later on. But now I can write this chapter again! I hope you all enjoy this one!

"Has anyone seen Ludwig?" Clawdia asked her children and husband. She found them in the living room of the castle and saw that everyone except her oldest son was there.

"I remember seeing him going to Meringue Clouds yesterday. He's probably still there. But, I think he was disguised as a human for some reason." Lemmy replied.

"Now that I think about it, some of my soldiers are missing too." Bowser said.

"Is he doing something at Meringue Clouds?" Iggy asked while playing with his daughter Tammy.

"Maybe he's planning on moving there and wants some more soldiers to protect his castle?" Morton wondered.

"Something doesn't feel right. He would've told us if he was moving out. Maybe I should call him, just to make sure he's alright." Clawdia said as she pulled out her phone. Before she could click on Ludwig's name, the Koopa family heard a familiar voice at the entrance of the living room.

"Hello everyone!" They looked to the entrance to see Ludwig standing there. As they looked at him, everyone began to feel confused. Ludwig was now wearing a gold and silver crown with blue and red jewels, a blue cap, and on the top sat a small figure with his emblem on it.

"Sorry I didn't say anything when I left yesterday. I was in a hurry." He added.

Iggy was the first to speak up. "Ludwig? Where did you get that crown from?"

"Oh this? I made it with my magic." Ludwig replied, pointing to the crown on his head.

"What for?" Roy asked.

"Well," Ludwig smirked, "I am now the new Emperor of the Cloud Empire!"

Everyone gasped at what he said. Ludwig's smirk grew more as he saw how shocked Bowser Jr was.

"Emperor?!" Bowser exclaimed. Ludwig nodded, still smirking.

"Whoa! That's amazing, Ludwig! Can we see the Cloud Empire?" Larry said.

"Of course! That's actually why I came here. I wanted to give everyone a tour of the empire." Ludwig explained.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go already!" Lemmy cheered.

"Wow!" Clawdia gasped as she looked around. The Koopa family arrived at the Cirrus Kingdom. This kingdom was beautiful! There so many Lakitus and Goombas outside today. They also saw a few Toads and humans, but some looked a little afraid of the royal Koopa family.

Ludwig gave his family a tour of the Cirrus Kingdom, showing them the many shops and buildings in the area. Their next stop was the Cumulus Kingdom, where Ludwig showed them the concert hall. He couldn't wait to play his new music there! He then showed them some fun areas in the Stratus Kingdom, and then finally, they arrived at the Nimbus Kingdom. They noticed that each kingdom had a different type of cloud surrounding it. The ones in the Nimbus Kingdom being more dark-gray than the others.

Once they entered the Nimbus Kingdom castle, Ludwig showed them around. He showed them the throne room, the dining hall, and the many bedrooms. Bowser looked around in amazement.

"Wow son! This is great!" He exclaimed. Bowser Jr looked up at his older brother, a little confused.

"I don't get it, Ludwig. What's so cool about being an emperor? Isn't it the same as being a king?" He asked.

"Well Junior, a King can rule over one territory while an Emperor rules over multiple territories. Plus, emperor is a higher title than king." Ludwig explained, smirking again.

"Wow! That's kinda cool!" Junior replied.

"Of course it is!" Ludwig chuckled.

"Yeah. I don't care if Junior's the next king of Darkland anymore. I'm emperor now! I have the higher title!" Ludwig thought to himself.

"So, does this mean that you'll live here now?" Clawdia asked, slightly frowning.

"Don't worry, Mother. I'll still visit you guys." Ludwig smiled, trying to cheer his mother up.

Then, a thought came to Wendy.

"Wait a second. Ludwig, what did you do with the last emperor?" She asked.

"Follow me." Ludwig replied.

Ludwig led his family through the halls until they arrived at the dungeon. They went inside and passed by the empty cells until they arrived at the one trapping Emperor Skylar and his family. The rest of the Koopas gasped as they saw the humans behind the bars.

"You won't get away with this!" Skyla yelled at Ludwig.

"I think he already did." Larry chuckled.

"We'll get out of here and take our empire back! I know it!" Amaya exclaimed, making the Koopa family laugh as they left the dungeon.

"Hahaha! Those idiots really think they'll escape!" Junior laughed.

"Yeah! Looks like the only way to get out is with a key." Lemmy said.

"They'll be trapped in there for a long time!" Clawdia replied.

"Haha! Well, why don't you all stay here for the night? There's plenty of rooms for everyone." Ludwig suggested.

"Yeah! I wanna explore the empire again!" Lemmy cheered.

"That's a wonderful idea, Lulu." Clawdia smiled.

"Great! Let's head back upstairs so you guys can choose a room to sleep in." Ludwig replied and led his family to the guest bedrooms.

"Man, this place is so cool!" Lemmy cheered. It was the next day and the Koopa family were exploring the empire. They left one of the malls in the Stratus Kingdom, where Wendy and Clawdia bought many items.

"Yeah! I wish Ludwig had took over this place before! I bought so many cute bows! I even bought some for Tammy!" Wendy giggled.

"I know she'll love them." Iggy said and gave Tammy a kiss on the cheek.

"You're still going to come over for dinner tonight, right Lulu?" Clawdia asked.

"Of course!" Ludwig smiled at his mother.

"You!" They heard a voice say. The Koopas turned around and saw four humans glaring at them. The one that spoke had brown skin with long black locks, brown eyes, and wore a gold crown with purple and violet jewels, a violet dress shirt with a white cravat around his neck, gray pants, and black shoes.

The girl next to him had long black hair, a gold crown with white and blue jewels, blue eyes, and wore a blue and white dress. The last two people looked a little older than the others. The man had short brown hair, blue eyes, a brown mustache, and wore a gold crown with red jewels, a dark red shirt, white pants, and black boots. The woman had short blonde hair, green eyes, and wore a gold crown with red jewels and a coral pink dress with a white collar.

"Ah. You're the rulers of the other kingdoms." Clawdia said.

"Yeah and you're currently in MY kingdom!" The man with the long locs replied.

"Right!", Ludwig pointed to the man speaking, "You're Prince Aire of the Stratus Kingdom."

Ludwig pointed at the woman next to Aire. "And your Princess Iris of the Cirrus Kingdom."

"So, those other two are King Zephyr and Queen Tempest of the Cumulus Kingdom!" Clawdia said.

"Did you guys need something? We were gonna continue exploring!" Lemmy replied.

"Yeah we need something! We need you guys to release the emperor and his family and for you to leave!" Prince Aire exclaimed, making the Koopas laugh.

"Hahaha no way! This place is cool!" Roy chuckled.

"Besides, Ludwig is your new emperor!" Wendy added.

"He is not our emperor!" Zephyr and Tempest yelled in unison.

"And he never will be!" Iris added.

"And why not?" Ludwig asked.

"Our citizens are afraid of you! You destroyed a lot of buildings!" Iris exclaimed.

"Pfff! Fear means that they'll listen to me!" Ludwig replied.

Iris gasped. "What?! No it doesn't!"

The Koopas laughed and turned away from them, beginning to walk away.

"Whatever you say." Ludwig said and headed back to the Nimbus Kingdom with his family.

The four monarchs watched as the Koopas walked away. Princess Iris turned to the others, feeling worried.

"What are we going to do?! We can't just let that Koopa rule over the empire!" She said.

"I don't think we'll be able to stop him on our own…" King Zephyr sighed as he began to think.

"Right. Why don't we go to our castle and think this over?" Queen Tempest suggested.

The others nodded and followed the king and queen to the Cumulus Kingdom.

The four monarchs arrived at the Cumulus Kingdom castle and made their way to the throne room. A toad servant poured each of them a cup of tea. After taking a sip, Tempest spoke.

"So, whatever we do, we'll have to wait until tonight." She said.

"Why wait that long?" Aire wondered.

"Well, the rest of Ludwig's family is still here. If we do anything know, they'll just attack us or throw us in the dungeon with the others." Tempest explained.

"You're right. Plus, Ludwig did say that he was going back to Darkland tonight for dinner, so that'd be perfect!" Zephyr added.

"Now, what can we do?" Aire asked.

The four thought about what to do. Then, Iris smiled.

"I know! The Mario Bros!" She cheered.

"Right! Why didn't we think of them sooner?" Aire said.

"I bet they'll be able to stop that Koopa and send him back home!" Zephyr grinned.

"So it's settled! Tonight, the four of us will make our way to the Mushroom Kingdom and hopefully arrive there in the morning." Tempest smiled.

"So what's for dinner?" Ludwig asked his mother.

"The chefs are making steak, mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus." Clawdia smiled.

"I can't wait! I love their steak!" Ludwig replied.

"Kacey's steaks taste better, but the chefs are good too." Roy said, thinking about his girlfriend's cooking.

The Koopa family walked out of the castle and made their way out of the Cloud Empire. Once they made it to the Cloud Kingdom, Ludwig's phone vibrated. He took it out of his shell and smiled when he saw that he had a message from Jasmine.

"Hey sweetie! I'm back in the Mushroom World!" Her message said.

Ludwig texted her back. "That's great! I bet you had fun with your family in Brooklyn."

"I sure did!" Jasmine immediately replied back.

"Oh! We should hang out tomorrow. I have something amazing to show you!" Ludwig texted.

"Sounds good! Can't wait!" Jasmine replied back. Ludwig smiled, put his phone away, and followed his family back to the Koopa Kingdom.

An hour went by and night fell. King Zephyr looked out of the door to make sure there were no Koopa Troopas or Hammer Bros around. After making sure it was safe, Zephyr, Queen Tempest, Prince Aire, and Princess Iris left Zephyr's and Tempest's castle.

"Alright. The Koopas aren't around, so we can make our way to the Mushroom Kingdom." Zephyr whispered to the others.

"Yeah. We gotta get there as fast as possible!" Aire whispered back.

Soon the four monarchs made it out of the Cloud Empire and started their journey to the Mushroom Kingdom.

The next day, Peach invited Luigi, Daisy, and Jasmine over to the castle to hang out for a bit. Their other friends, Kayden and his younger sister Kacey, were at Serene Isles hanging out with Princess Summer and her boyfriend Kai. Peach smiled as she watched Mario play with their newborn son Arturo. Arturo laughed at the funny faces his father made.

"He's adorable!" Daisy said as she played with Arturo's short blonde hair.

"Yeah, he is!" Mario chuckled and hugged his son. Arturo yawned, making Peach smile.

"I guess it's time for his nap." Peach walked over to Mario and gently took Arturo in her arms. Before she could leave, they heard footsteps running towards them.

"W-Who is that?!" Peach exclaimed, holding their baby close to her chest.

A few seconds later, Zephyr, Tempest, Iris, and Aire entered the living room of the castle. The four stopped to take a few deep breaths.

"Oh! King Zephyr! It's just you guys! Is everything alright?" Peach asked.

After catching his breath, Zephyr spoke. "We're sorry for barging in here like this, but it's an emergency!"

"Mario! Luigi! We need your help!" Iris added.

"What happened?" Mario asked.

Tempest took a deep breath and explained the situation. Mario and his friends were shocked after hearing what happened, but Jasmine's shock turned into anger.

"Ludwig! I can't believe him! I bet that's the surprise he was telling me about!" Jasmine said.

"I can't believe he took over an entire empire!" Luigi exclaimed. Jasmine stood up and walked towards the four monarchs.

"Don't worry. I'll stop Ludwig myself." She said.

"Are you sure, Jasmine?" Mario asked.

Jasmine nodded. "Yes. At least let me talk to him."

"I don't know if talking will work." Aire replied.

"I still wanna try. Please, it wouldn't hurt, right?"

"Well," Tempest spoke. "I guess that's fair."

"Great! Please lead the way!" Jasmine said.

Zephyr nodded and the four monarchs began to leave Peach's castle, Jasmine following close behind them.

Jasmine gasped softly once they made it to the Cloud Empire. It was amazing and beautiful to her! She shook her head and focused on the situation.

"I can admire this place later. Right now I gotta talk to Ludwig."

"He should be at the castle in the Nimbus Kingdom." Aire said. Jasmine nodded and continued following them.

After walking through the other kingdoms, they finally arrived in the Nimbus Kingdom. The group made their way to the castle, where two Hammer Bros were guarding the front doors.

"Well, he should be inside." Iris said.

"Alright. You all should wait here. Hopefully I can reason with him." The others watched as Jasmine walked towards the front doors of the castle. The two guards, recognizing her, let her inside.

"Wow!" Jasmine exclaimed as she looked around the hallways. She heard voices coming from a room and peeked inside, seeing Ludwig sitting on a throne and talking to a Magikoopa.

"There he is!" Jasmine whispered to herself. Jasmine then walked inside of the throne room, a small bit of anger returning.

"Ludwig von Koopa!" Ludwig and the Magikoopa stopped their conversation when they heard Jasmine's voice. Ludwig's eyes widened and he stood up.

"Jasmine? How did you get here? I was going to surprise you later." Ludwig said.

"I know what you did, Ludwig! Queen Tempest and the others told my friends and I everything!" Jasmine replied.

"Jasmine, this is fine! I'm not even worried about being king anymore. I'm an emperor! That's even better!" Ludwig exclaimed.

"Luddy, this isn't right! You invaded this land and took it over!" Jasmine yelled.

"Jasmine! I'm happier now that I'm emperor!" Ludwig yelled back.

"I know that you wanna be a leader, but this isn't the right way!" Jasmine said.

The two were silent for a moment. Then, a thought came to Jasmine.

"Where's the dungeon?" Jasmine asked.

"Jasmine-" Jasmine ran off before Ludwig could finish. The Magikoopa and Ludwig chased after her.

"Jaz! Come back here!" Ludwig called out.

Jasmine ran through the halls, passing the dining room, the bathroom, and a room filled with toys and games. Soon, she found a large door and opened it, finally finding the dungeon. She walked inside and gasped when she saw Skylar and his family locked inside of the cell.

"W-Who are you?" Amaya asked.

"My name is Jasmine. I'm friends with Mario and Luigi. I'm here to help." Jasmine said.

"Oh thank goodness!" Amaya replied.

"Jasmine!" Jasmine turned around to see Ludwig and the Magikoopa entering the room.

"Ludwig! I know Queen Tempest told me what happened, but I can't believe this! Not only did you lock up the emperor and empress in here, but their children too! Children Ludwig!" Jasmine yelled.

"Jasmine, you just don't understand! I deserve to be king, but Father is letting Junior be his successor!" Ludwig screamed.

"I can't believe you're jealous of a little kid, Luddy!" Jasmine screamed back.

After taking a deep breath, Jasmine walked closer to Ludwig.

"Look sweetie, why don't you just let the emperor and his family out of here, give him back his empire, and we can talk to Bowser and Clawdia about you being Bowser's successor? Does that sound good?" Jasmine smiled softly.

Jasmine gasped at Ludwig's response. "No."

"N-No? What do you mean "No"?" She asked.

"My father won't listen to whatever we'd tell him! Junior is his favorite, and he's gonna be the next king of the Koopas!" Ludwig replied.

"Ludwig, we don't know that for sure!" Jasmine looked around until she found a key. She tried to reach for it, but Ludwig levitated it and brought the key over to him, holding it in his hand.

"Ludwig!" Jasmine exclaimed.

"I think you should head home, honey." Ludwig said. He looked over to the Magikoopa and nodded. The Magikoopa took out his wand and pointed it at the human in front of them.

"L-Ludwig! What are you-" Then, Jasmine disappeared.

Zephyr, Tempest, Iris, and Aire were still outside of the castle, waiting to see what happened. They looked up when the front doors of the castle burst open, but were confused to see Ludwig and the Magikoopa walking out.

"What's going on?" Aire asked.

"Yeah! Where's Jasmine?" Iris added.

"My girlfriend returned home. Now since you four decided to be heroes…" Ludwig took out his wand and levitated the four monarchs, making them scream.

"What are you doing?!" Tempest asked.

"You'll be join Skylar and the others in the dungeon." Ludwig laughed.

"What? No! Put us down now!" Zephyr shouted. Ludwig ignored them as he brought the four monarchs inside and took them to the dungeon. He threw them inside of the cell next to the emperor's and his family. Ludwig locked the door to the cell and laughed again as he left the dungeon.

Jasmine blinked and looked around at her surroundings. She saw many shops, homes, and Toads walking around. She gasped, realizing that she was back in the Mushroom Kingdom.

"I-I can't believe him!" Jasmine exclaimed. Jasmine pulled out her phone and angrily started typing. Once the message was sent, she put her phone back into her pocket and made het way to Peach's castle.

"I'm gonna need some help.."

Soon Jasmine arrived at the castle and made her way to the living room, happy to see that her friends were still there.

"You're back, Jasmine! Did you talk to Ludwig?" Peach asked.

Jasmine sighed, making the others concerned.

"What happened?" Luigi asked.

"… Ludwig wouldn't listen to me. He's so blinded by his anger and jealousy." Jasmine finally replied.

"Where's King Zephyr and the others?" Mario asked her.

"They're still in the Cloud Empire. I don't know if Ludwig captured them or not though."

Jasmine walked closer to everyone.

"I need your help. We need to stop Ludwig! I know that he wants to be a ruler, but this isn't the way to be one!" Jasmine said.

"Yeah! I'll help ya!" Daisy exclaimed.

"Luigi and I will too!" Mario smiled.

"I wish I could, but I should stay here with Arturo." Peach replied.

Jasmine smiled. "Thanks guys."

Ludwig smiled as he looked out of the window, admiring the Nimbus Kingdom. He really loved the Cloud Empire. It was amazing! Sighing happily, he walked over to the throne and sat down.

"I still can't believe this! Man, it's great being emperor!" Ludwig said to himself.

Ludwig felt his phone vibrating and took it out of his shell. He gasped softly when he saw a text from his girlfriend. Ludwig opened the message and began to read it.

"I'm coming back there and I'm bringing the others with me. I am going to stop you with their help and bring everything back to normal!"

Ludwig growled and put his phone away. He stormed out of the throne room and made his way outside where the soldiers and other minions were at. Ludwig cleared his throat and spoke.

"Jasmine is on her way back here with her friends to stop us. I need you all to do your best to stop them from getting here. But don't hurt her!" Ludwig said.

The minions nodded and began to leave.

Mario, Luigi, Daisy, and Jasmine walked out of the castle and went to a Toad House to buy some 1-Up Mushrooms and power ups. After leaving the Toad House, they saw a few blocks and hit them, finding more power ups. Mario and Luigi each found a Fire Flower, Daisy found a Bubble Flower, and Jasmine found a Tanooki Suit. Now having their power ups, the four friends left the Mushroom Kingdom. A Goomba was waiting for them at the entrance of the kingdom and ran towards them. Daisy smirked and stomped on the Goomba, immediately defeating him.

While leaving the Mushroom Kingdom, the group ran into more Goombas and a few Koopa Troopas. Luigi and Mario threw fireballs at the enemies, quickly stopping them.

"We gotta hurry! Emperor Skylar and the others are counting on us!" Jasmine said.

"Don't worry, Jasmine. We'll save the Cloud Empire!" Mario replied.

"Yeah! We can stop Ludwig!" Daisy added.

Jasmine smiled softly. "Yeah!"

Soon, after fighting more Koopas, the four made it to the next world.

I'm so sorry this chapter's short. I'm still sick and I barely have the energy to write today. Hopefully the next chapter will be longer.

The four arrived at a desert world and ran into more enemies. A Koopa Troopa ran towards them, but Jasmine hit it with her Tanooki tail. Another Koopa tried to attack them, but Luigi stomped on its head, picked up the shell, and threw it at a few Goombas up ahead.

"Alright! We'll be at the Cloud Empire in no time!" Jasmine said. She flew towards a high platform and hit a block. She found another Fire Flower and put it in her pocket.

A Lakitu flew by and threw a Spiny Egg at Jasmine, making her lose her Tanooki Suit. Glaring at the enemy, Jasmine jumped on another platform and jumped on the Lakitu's head, defeating it. She jumped onto its cloud and flew through the area, the others following close behind. Soon the cloud disappeared and Jasmine gently landed on the ground. They saw a green warp pipe and went through it, making it to another part of the area.

The four came out of the warp pipe and saw that they were underground. It was a little dark, so they used Fire Flowers to throw fireballs for some light. Jasmine screamed when a bat flew towards her. She ducked before it could hurt her. Daisy threw fireballs at more bats as they walked underground. They saw some Fire Bros up ahead and did their best to avoid their fireballs. Unfortunately, Luigi was hit by a fireball and lost his power up.

Luigi reached into his pocket and took out an Ice Flower. He threw ice balls at the Fire Bros, freezing them in a block of ice. As they fought more Fire Bros and avoided Firesnakes, they found another warp pipe. They went through it and were above ground again. Another Lakitu appeared and through more Spiny Eggs at them. Luckily, Mario and the others were able to avoid them.

"I think we're almost to the next world!" Mario said. Jasmine smiled as they continued walking through the desert world.

"Soon the Cloud Empire will be back to normal! I just hope Ludwig will listen to us." She thought.

Ludwig grumbled as he sat on the throne. One of his soldiers told him that Jasmine and the others were almost to Water Land. He rubbed his temples, trying to make his headache go away.

"What am I going to do? How can I make Jasmine understand that this is right?" Ludwig sighed and leaned back against the throne. He looked up at the ceiling and began to think.

"Maybe she's right. Maybe I should go hom-"

Ludwig shook his head. "No! This is perfect! I just need to convince Jasmine."

The eldest Koopaling glanced out of the window as he thought for a moment. Then, he smiled.

"I know! Maybe showing her how nice it is will help Jasmine understand!" Ludwig said to himself.

"Just have to wait until she gets here."

The group left the desert world and finally arrived at a tropical world. A Huckit Crab threw a rock at them, but they dodged it. Luigi jumped on the Huckit Crab and they were able to walk by. A few Cheep Cheeps jumped out of the water as they walked on a bridge. Mario was hit by one and lost his fire powers. Luigi threw some ice balls at them, freezing the enemies.

The four went through a warp pipe and they ended up underwater. Mario hit a block and found a Frog Suit. The others did their best to keep up with Mario as he swam faster than them. As they swam, a Clampy closed its valves with Mario inside. When it opened, Mario swam out, now without a Frog Suit. The four avoided the Big and Spiny Cheep Cheeps as they made went through another pipe.

Soon after fighting another Big Cheep Cheep, they found another warp pipe and went through it. They made it back on the land and were halfway through this world. Mario hit another block and found a Star. He used it and immediately defeated some Cheep Cheeps, Huckit Crabs, and Koopa Troopas. Once the star wore off, the enemies were lying on the ground in pain.

Mario cheered. "Wahoo! That was easy!"

"That's my favorite power up!" Jasmine replied.

"Yeah! We should head to a Toad House and get more!" Daisy added.

"You're right. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to buy more power ups." Luigi said.

"Alright then! We should go find the next Toad House." Mario replied as they continued walking.

Hey everyone! I'm finally back with a new chapter! Last week I was busy so I couldn't write. But now I can write again! I hope you all like this chapter!

"Come. On. Open. This. Door!" Prince Aire grumbled as he pulled on the cell bars. Princess Iris sighed as she walked closer to her friend. She put a hand on his shoulder, making him stop.

"Aire, there's nothing we can do right now. The guards won't let us out either." Iris said.

Aire sighed and let go of the bars. "You're right. But, what are we going to do?"

"Don't worry, Aire! I bet someone will get us out of here!" Prince Cyrus said from the cell next to theirs.

"Yeah! Jasmine's probably on her way back here!" Princess Skyla added.

"If she is, she's gonna need some extra help dealing with that Koopa." Aire replied back.

The monarchs of the empire then sat quietly in their cells, waiting for Jasmine to return and save them.

The four friends found another Toad House up ahead and went inside. They bought more Stars and extra power ups like Fire Flowers, Blue Shells, and Cape Feathers. After taking a quick break, everyone left the Toad House and continued on through the tropical world. While walking, they came across some Yoshis and got their help. They each rode a Yoshi and easily stopped some Goombas and other enemies that the Yoshis could eat.

After fighting more enemies, the group finally made it out of the land. They thanked the Yoshis, said goodbye, and arrived at a snowy area. Daisy shivered as she felt the breeze, but tried to stay focused.

"I wish there was a quicker way to get to the empire." Jasmine sighed.

Mario smiled. "Don't worry, Jasmine. We'll get there in no time!"

"Yeah! Who knows? Maybe one day we'll find a warp pipe that leads there." Luigi added.

"Pretty soon this'll all be over and the Cloud Empire will be back to normal!" Daisy said.

"You guys are right. We should keep going then." Jasmine smiled back at them.

The first enemy they saw was a Prickly Goomba. Mario took out a Fire Flower and threw a fireball at it, breaking the spiked shell. The Goomba glared at them and ran towards the group, but Mario threw another fireball at it before the Goomba could attack. A Koopa Troopa ran towards them, but Mario threw another fireball, defeating the Koopa. Jasmine almost slipped on the ice, but Daisy caught her in time.

"Thanks, Daisy." Jasmine said.

"No problem, girl!" Daisy replied.

As they walked, a few Cooligans began to slide on the ice towards them. Jasmine and Daisy jumped on them, and Mario and Luigi threw fire and ice balls at the enemies. More Cooligans began to attack them, but the four defeated them. An Ice Bro hit Jasmine with an ice ball, making her lose her power up. She took out a Star and used it on the Ice Bro and some Goombas. Soon the enemies were defeated and the star ran out.

Jasmine saw a Question Block with wings up ahead and ran towards it. She hit the block before it could fly away and found a Fire Flower inside. She hopped onto some blocks to reach it. Now having fire powers, she landed on the ground and saw more Ice Bros running towards them. As they got closer, Jasmine threw fireballs at the Ice Bros, immediately defeating them.

Once the Ice Bros were on the ground, the group walked away and saw a warp pipe up ahead. They ran towards it, jumped inside, and made it to the middle of the ice area.

"We're already halfway through this place!" Mario said.

"Great. I don't think I can stand this freezing air any longer!" Daisy replied as she shivered again.

The others chuckled and grabbed some more power ups. After putting the power ups away, they continued on their journey.

More Cooligans tried to hit them when they slid on the ice, but Luigi froze them in a block of ice. Daisy jumped on two Goombas that ran towards her. They went through another warp pipe and made it to another part of the land. Unfortunately, there were a lot of Ice Bros here. Mario and Jasmine threw fireballs at the Ice Bros, defeating all of them.

"Oh! We're almost at the next world!" Luigi exclaimed.

"You're right, Weege! Let-a-go!" Mario replied.

Everyone fought more enemies as they ran through the ice world. They did their best to avoid being crushed by the Thwomps in the area. Mario was almost crushed by the last Thwomp, but Luigi grabbed his brother at the last second. As they got closer to the next world, two giant Ice Bros landed in front of them.

"Oh my gosh!" Jasmine screamed.

"Did they use Mega Mushrooms or something!?" Daisy exclaimed.

"I dunno, but we won't be able to leave until these guys are stopped." Mario said.

Everyone looked up at the two giant Ice Bros and prepared to fight.

Ludwig growled as he stared out of the window, looking around the Nimbus Kingdom. He learned that Jasmine and her friends were currently fighting the two Ice Bros in the snow area and were preparing to go to the nearby forest. He sighed and walked away from the window.

"She really wants to stop me…" Ludwig whispered to himself.

Ludwig walked through the halls of the castle, trying to clear his mind.

"Don't worry. Jasmine will soon learn that this is good." He took out his wand and smiled softly as he looked at it.

"Yeah. Everything will be fine. She'll finally understand."

Ludwig put his wand away and made his way out of the castle, deciding to get some fresh air for a bit.

"Does anyone know how long we've been locked up in here? Cyrus asked.

"Not really. Feels like forever!" Skyla replied.

Emperor Skylar sighed. "I can't believe this is happening."

"I know, honey. But everything's going to be alright." Empress Amaya smiled softly at her husband.

Skylar smiled back and gave his wife a kiss on the cheek. He and Amaya did their best to remain calm and comfort their children as they sat in their cell.

The Mario Bros, Princess Daisy, and Jasmine stared at the two giant Ice Bros in front of them. One of the Ice Bros threw a large ice ball, hitting all four of them. The group lost their power ups, but reached into their pockets and took out new ones. Daisy took out a Propeller Mushroom and Mario used a Cape Feather. The two flew into the air and stomped on each Ice Bro's head. Luigi and Jasmine took out a Superball Flower and Blue Shell respectively.

Luigi threw superballs at the Ice Bros and Jasmine began to shell dash, hitting one of the giant Ice Bros. Soon, one of the Ice Bros fell to the ground and returned to its normal size. The other Ice Bro threw another ice ball at everyone, but they dodged it. Luigi threw more superballs at the enemy and Mario flew into the air, stomping on its head. Daisy and Jasmine helped the bros out and attacked the Ice Bro. After fighting for a few more minutes, the second giant enemy was defeated and shrank back to its normal size like the first Ice Bro.

"Whoohoo! We did it!" Daisy cheered and gave Jasmine a high five.

"Haha yeah! Now we can head to the next world!" Jasmine grinned.

"Soon we'll be at the empire!" Luigi said.

"And we can stop Ludwig and save everyone!" Mario added.

Mario, Luigi, Daisy, and Jasmine left the snow world and made their way to the forest.

Now in the forest, the group did their best to avoid getting crushed by the giant Koopas and Goombas that walked by. Daisy, still having the Propeller Suit, flew into the air and landed on a giant Goomba, making it shrink into two smaller Goombas. She and Mario jumped on the Goombas, turning them into normal sized Goombas. Luigi threw superballs at the enemies, defeating them. He threw more superballs at a giant Koopa Troopa that walked towards them. After throwing a few superballs, the Koopa was defeated.

Jasmine shell dashed into a line of Goombas and Wigglers. Mario jumped on another Wiggler, making the enemy angry. Everyone ran through a warp pipe to avoid the Wiggler and ended up in another part of the forest. The four saw a giant Koopa Troopa walking by, but didn't have time to move out of the way. The giant Koopa knocked them down, making all of them lose their powerups. Everyone groaned as they sat up when the Koopa walked away.

"Man… That really hurt." Daisy said as she rubbed her head.

Luigi helped her up while Mario helped Jasmine. They each ate a 1-Up Mushroom and continued on their way. As they avoided the giant enemies, they came across a few Question Blocks. Mario hit them and found Fire Flowers inside. They each took one and threw fireballs at some Koopa Troopas that they saw. As they walked through the forest, they came across a Boo House.

"Do we really have to go in there?" Luigi asked.

"Of course. Don't worry, bro. We'll be fine!" Mario replied. He walked towards the door to the Boo House and opened it, letting everyone inside.

Everyone did their best to avoid the Boos as they walked through the Boo House. Unfortunately, Luigi was hit by one and lost his powerup. They entered another hall where a group of Scaredy Rats were at. The Scaredy Rats immediately ran away from them, making the others chase after them.

"Get back here!" Daisy yelled as she threw fireballs at them.

Two of the Scaredy Rats were hit by Daisy's fireballs. Mario and Luigi ran faster, catching up to the rest of the enemies. The brothers stomped on the Scaredy Rats, defeating them. Jasmine and Daisy threw fireballs at more Scaredy Rats when they entered another room. They also saw three Broozers in the room, punching through the walls that blocked their paths. The Broozers landed on the floor and ran towards them.

Mario, Daisy, and Jasmine began to throw fireballs at the Broozers. After a few hits, the Broozers were knocked out. Everyone then made their way to the next room, where a Big Boo was waiting, along with some normal sized Boos. The Boos covered their faces when everyone looked at them, while the Big Boo began to sweat.

"What do we do now?" Daisy asked.

Everyone began to think. Then, Jasmine smiled.

"We can use Super Stars to get past them." She suggested.

"Yeah! We can try that!" Daisy replied.

The four of them reached into their pockets and pulled out a Super Star. Now invincible, the four friends ran towards the ghosts, making them disappear. They went to another room and knocked down the enemies inside. After quickly defeating more enemies, the star power stopped and they made it to another door. Mario opened it and saw the forest.

"We made it out!" Mario cheered.

"Phew! I'm glad to be out of here!" Luigi said as he walked out of the Boo House.

"Yeah! Now we just need to go through the rest of this world." Daisy replied.

"Right! Let's go!" Jasmine said.

Everyone then walked away from the Boo House and made their way through the rest of the forest.

I don't think I've ever mentioned Boo Houses in any of my fanfics before, so sorry if this wasn't that good. I'll work on the next chapter soon!

Once they were outside, they came across another Question Block. Luigi hit it and found a Boomerang Flower. He grabbed it and was able to throw boomerangs. He saw a giant Koopa Troopa walking by and threw a boomerang at it, knocking the Koopa Troopa down. He saw some Goombas running towards everyone and he threw another boomerang, hitting all of the Goombas. Everyone walked through the forest, doing their best to avoid falling into the purple poison.

Jasmine threw fireballs at another giant Koopa Troopa. Once the Koopa was stopped, she pushed the Koopa shell out of their way, making it break some blocks and fall into the purple poison. They saw another green warp pipe up ahead and after fighting some Hammer Bros, they walked over to it. The four went through the pipe and made it to another area in the forest. As they defeated a Goomba, they realized that they were almost out of this world.

"We're almost to the mountain area!" Mario said.

"Great! That means we're getting closer to Meringue Clouds. Then we'll be able to find the Cloud Empire." Jasmine replied.

"Yep! We'll stop your boyfriend and return everything back to normal!" Daisy said.

The group fought two more Hammer Bros that they ran into and continued on through the forest.

"So, they're almost to Rock-Candy Mines?" Ludwig asked one of the guards.

"Yes sir! They should be arriving there any minute now." The guard replied.

Ludwig growled, but then he chuckled, making the guard confused.

"Um sir?" The guard stared at Ludwig.

"Don't worry. We're gonna stop them. And I'm gonna make Jasmine see things my way." Ludwig replied.

"How are you going to do that?" The guard asked.

Ludwig grinned as he pulled out his wand and began to twirl it in between his fingers.

"I have an idea. I'm sure it'll work." Ludwig replied. He put his wand away and walked inside of the castle. He made his way to the kitchen and grabbed a snack.

As he made his way back to the throne room, his mind went back to his girlfriend. Ludwig took a bite of his candy bar and sat on the throne.

"She'll see. Me being emperor is the best thing that happened." Ludwig said to himself.

After stopping a Koopa Paratroopa, everyone smiled as they saw that they were almost to Rock-Candy Mines. Jasmine was very happy that they were getting closer to Meringue Clouds, but she was also a little concerned. What if they weren't able to stop Ludwig? What if he still wouldn't listen to them? What if-

Jasmine shook her head. "Don't think like that, Jasmine! You're gonna convince Ludwig to step down and hand over the empire to the emperor. Everything will be fine."

As Jasmine was lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice a hammer coming towards her.

"Jasmine look out!" Daisy yelled.

"Huh? Ow!" Jasmine shrieked as she got hit, losing her powerup.

Everyone looked ahead and saw four Sledge Bros blocking the path leading to Rock-Candy Mines.

"Oh come on! There's four of these dudes?!" Daisy groaned.

Everyone jumped to avoid getting stunned by the Sledge Bros.

"Well, we're gonna have to beat them if we wanna go to the next world." Luigi said.

Jasmine took out a Double Cherry and ate it, making a clone of herself. She and the clone ran towards the Sledge Bros and each jumped on one.

"Alright!" Jasmine and her clone cheered. Unfortunately, another Sledge Bro threw a sledge hammer at the clone, making the clone disappear.

"Dangit!" Jasmine exclaimed.

Mario threw fireballs at a Sledge Bro, finally defeating it. Another Sledge Bro created an earthquake, stunning everyone. The enemies threw hammers at them, making them lose their power ups. Jasmine quickly pulled out a Mushroom and ate it, returning to her normal size. She then reached into her pocket and took out a Drill Mushroom. She burrowed underground and jumped out, hitting a Sledge Bro.

Luigi and Daisy avoided more sledge hammers as they jumped on the other Sledge Bros' heads. After a few more stomps, all four Sledge Bros were defeated and fell to the ground.

"Finally!" Daisy said.

"Ok guys! Let's head to the next world." Mario replied.

The others nodded and followed Mario out of the forest and into the rock area.

I'm finally making a new chapter! This chapter was supposed to be up yesterday, but I got tired. And then I realized that my mom started her vacation too, so I wasn't really sure if I was going to be able to write. But, I found some time to finish working on this! Hopefully this one is good.

When the group made it to Rock-Candy Mines, they were met by a group of Fire Bros. Daisy and Luigi used Ice Flowers and threw ice balls at the enemies, freezing them. Mario picked up one of the frozen Fire Bros and threw the ice block into a line of Goombas. Mario then saw a Question Block and hit it, finding a Fire Flower inside. He grabbed it and threw fireballs at two Frost Piranhas. Jasmine sighed as she looked at the sky and saw Meringue Clouds up ahead.

"Why does it feel so far away?" Jasmine asked.

"Don't worry, Jasmine. We'll get to the empire soon." Daisy reassured her.

As they walked through the world, they saw a large Chain Chomp sleeping by a rock. The four friends tried to be quiet and walk slowly, trying to not wake the Chain Chomp. Unfortunately, the Chain Chomp began to wake up and saw them.

"Oh no…" Daisy said.

The Chain Chomp barked and tried to bite them, but everyone luckily got out of the way in time. As they ran and stomped on a few Koopas, they found a green warp pipe near a few rocks. After fighting another Koopa, they went through the warp pipe, arriving in another part of the area.

Mario and the others jumped on the mushroom platforms as they fought more minions and avoided the Fuzzies on the tracks around them. Jasmine was hit by a Big Fuzzy, losing her drill power-up. She hit a Question Block and grabbed the Bubble Flower. They went through another pipe and were now underwater. Luigi was eaten by a Porcupuffer and lost his ice powers. While swimming, he found a Frog Suit inside of a bubble and grabbed it.

Daisy threw an ice ball at a Cheep Cheep that swam by her. Jasmine blew bubbles at two Bloopers, trapping them inside. They went through a red pipe, arriving in an area, still underwater, filled with Cheep Cheeps, both big and small. Mario, Daisy, and Jasmine used their power-ups to fight the Cheep Cheeps. Luigi also helped out by using a Super Star on a few Big Cheep Cheeps. Once the Cheep Cheeps were stopped, everyone went through another warp pipe and made it back on the ground.

"Man! That seemed to take forever! How the heck are we even able to hold our breaths that long?!" Daisy exclaimed.

"Haha! Well, at least we don't have to swim for awhile." Mario replied.

Jasmine looked around and gasped. She could see a path made of clouds up ahead.

"Guys look! We're almost to Meringue Clouds!" Jasmine said as she pointed at the path.

"You're right! Let's hurry then!" Luigi replied.

The friends jumped on the red and blue switches, activating the red and blue Stretch Blocks so they could walk across the area.

"I can't believe it! We're so close! Ludwig, I hope you'll understand us." Jasmine thought to herself.

Mario and the others stopped at a Toad House and bought a few extra power-ups. Once they left and continued walking, they were almost hit by a Grrrol. Everyone jumped out of the way in time. Mario took a deep breath and looked at his friends.

"Whoa! Is everyone alright?"

"Y-Yeah.." Luigi replied, trying to calm down.

Everyone then heard something coming towards them. Looking ahead, they gasped. Four Mega Grrrols were rolling towards them.

"Look out!" Daisy screamed.

As everyone tried to move out of the way, Daisy got hit at the last second and lost her ice powers.

"Shoot!" Daisy reached into her pocket and grabbed a Super Leaf.

Everyone did their best to avoid getting hit by the Grrrols as they made their way through the rest of the area. After avoiding the Grrrols, they were finally getting closer to the cloud path.

"We're almost there!" Jasmine cheered.

Then, as they got closer, two Sumo Bros landed in front of them, blocking the path.

"Oh come on!" Jasmine groaned.

Daisy sighed. "Well, let's get this over with."

The four stared at the Sumo Bros and prepared to fight.

Using her Tanooki tail, Daisy flew in the air and landed on one of the Sumo Bros's head. The other Sumo Bro pounded his foot on the ground, creating thunderbolts. Everyone was hit by the thunderbolts and lost their power-ups. Before the Sumo Bros could attack, Mario took out a Hammer Suit and threw hammers at both Sumo Bros. Luigi then ate an Elephant Fruit, turning himself into an Elephant.

Luigi attacked one of the Sumo Bros with his trunk. Jasmine took out a Propeller Box and flew into the air, landing on one of the Sumo Bros's head, finally defeating him. Daisy used a Blue Shell to shell dash into the other Sumo Bro, defeating that one also.

"Great! Now we can go to Meringue Clouds." Daisy said.

"And then we'll be at the Cloud Empire in no time!" Mario added.

Jasmine smiled. "Let's go then. We're almost finished!"

The four friends walked past the Sumo Bros on the ground and walked across the cloud path.

Ludwig sighed as one of the guards left the throne room. He sat on the throne and shook his head.

"So, they're finally at Meringue Clouds. They'll be here pretty soon then." Ludwig said to himself.

He stared at the floor and began to think. Why couldn't Jasmine see things his way? Why was she being so stubborn?

"Well, I'll try to convince her soon. I'm sure she'll finally understand." Ludwig whispered.

Ludwig took out his wand and smiled softly. He couldn't wait to try out his plan soon. Hopefully it'll work.

Jasmine smiled when they arrived at Meringue Clouds. She's always loved this place and thought it was beautiful whenever she and Ludwig would visit and hang out together. She shook her head, trying to stay focused on their mission. Luigi, still using the Elephant power-up, attacked a Spiny that was running towards them. Daisy, using her Blue Shell, shell dashed into a few Mini Goombas. Mario jumped onto a cloud platform and threw hammers at two Paragoombas near it.

"Ow!" Jasmine shrieked as she got hit on the head by a Spiny Egg, losing her power-up.

"You ok, Jaz?" Daisy asked.

"I think so…" Jasmine looked up and saw a Lakitu above them, holding a Spiny Egg in his hand.

Jasmine quickly took out a Buzzy Shell and put it on her head for protection. Mario, Luigi, and Daisy did the same. Mario jumped on a higher cloud platform to reach the Lakitu. He jumped on the Lakitu's head before he could throw another Spiny Egg. Mario jumped onto the Lakitu's cloud and floated through the world, the others following him below.

Mario threw hammers at more Paragoombas while the others fought Foos, Rocky Wrenches, and Magikoopas. Luigi was hit by a boomerang from a Boomerang Bro and lost his Buzzy Shell and Elephant power-up, but took out another Buzzy Shell. He jumped on the Boomerang Bro's head, defeating him. Daisy hit a Question Block and found a Bubble Flower inside. She grabbed it and gave it to Luigi. He then blew a bubble at a Spiny, trapping it inside.

Soon the Lakitu Cloud disappeared and Mario landed on the clouds with the others. Jasmine was hit by hammer that was thrown by a Sledge Bro, making her lose her Buzzy Shell. She hit a Question Block and smiled when she saw a Super Star inside. After grabbing the star, Jasmine ran towards the enemies, knocking each one down. Soon the Super Star wore off and the enemies nearby were defeated.

"Good job, Jasmine!" Mario said.

"Thanks!" Jasmine and the others then went through a red warp pipe, arriving in another area of Meringue Clouds.

Mario looked around the area. "I think we're in the middle of the land now."

"Yeah! And Look! The Cloud Kingdom is up ahead!" Luigi said, pointing to another land made of clouds.

Jasmine gasped. "Oh my gosh! We're so close! Let's go guys!"

Mario, Luigi, Daisy, and Jasmine then ran through Meringue Clouds, fighting more minions along the way.

"We're gonna do it! We're gonna save the empire!" Jasmine thought to herself.

I wish this could've been a little longer, but I'm not feeling too good right now. I'll work on the next chapter another day!

Everyone lost their Buzzy Shells and power-ups after getting hit by boomerangs from a group of Boomerang Bros. Luigi found another Bubble Flower and blew a bubble at one of the Boomerang Bros, trapping him inside. Luigi was hit by another boomerang though, and lost his power-up. Mario was also hit by a boomerang and lost his Hammer Suit. He jumped on one of the enemies, knocking him to the ground. Daisy, still having her Blue Shell, shell dashed into the rest of the Boomerang bros, stopping them.

Mario saw a flying Question Block coming towards them. He quickly hit it and found a Fire Flower inside. Mario grabbed the Fire Flower and threw fireballs at a Foo before it could create fog. The group ran into two more Foos that made fog, making it hard for them to see. Mario and Luigi blew away the fog by spin jumping. Once the fog was gone, Mario threw fireballs at the Foos, defeating them.

Jasmine smiled as they got closer and closer to the Cloud Kingdom. She couldn't wait to save the monarchs of the Cloud Empire! But, she also hoped that Ludwig would finally understand where she's coming from. After fighting more Spinies, they went through another warp pipe and finally arrived at the Cloud Kingdom.

"Well, we're almost there!" Daisy said.

"Yeah! I can't believe it!" Jasmine replied.

As the friends walked through the Cloud Kingdom, they heard a noise from above.

"Huh?" Jasmine and the others looked up and gasped when they saw an airship.

"W-What?" As the airship lowered, a group of Foos, Lakitus, Spinies, and Boomerang Bros jumped out. The airship then flew away from the Cloud Kingdom.

"Oh come on!" Daisy groaned.

Jasmine sighed. "Well, like you said, we're almost there. So, I guess we gotta beat these guys before heading to the empire."

The Foos made fog, making it harder for everyone to see.

"Ouch!" Luigi cried after getting hit with a boomerang and losing his bubble powers.

"Hey!" Daisy was also hit with a boomerang.

Everyone spin jumped to make the fog disappear. Once the fog was gone, Mario and Jasmine ran towards the Foos and jumped on two of them. Luigi and Daisy took out Fire Flowers and threw fireballs at the Spinies and the rest of the Foos. A Lakitu threw a Spiny Egg at Jasmine, making her small. She dodged another Spiny Egg and reached into her pocket, pulling out a Propeller Mushroom. She flew into the air and landed on the Lakitu's head, knocking him off of his cloud.

Daisy was almost hit by a Spiny Egg, but she moved out of the way in time. She threw a fireball at a Spiny while Jasmine jumped on the Lakitu's head. Jasmine then jumped on the cloud and flew towards another Lakitu. She jumped on that Lakitu's head also, defeating him. Luigi jumped on a few Boomerang Bros before they could attack everyone. He then helped out Mario by throwing fireballs at some Spinies.

Jasmine looked around as the others fought. The enemies were almost defeated. Just a few more to go! She was then hit by a boomerang, losing her Propeller Suit. Jasmine ran towards the Boomerang Bro that attacked her and jumped on his head. Everyone else lost their power-ups as they fought more enemies.

Mario jumped on another Lakitu and then a Foo. Daisy knocked out the last two Boomerang Bros while Jasmine and Luigi fought more Spinies and Lakitus. Once the rest of the minions were stopped, everyone cheered.

"We did it! We finally stopped them!" Luigi said.

"And now we can finally go to the Cloud Empire!" Jasmine smiled.

"Yep! Come on!" Mario said as he ran, the others following behind him.

"We're almost there! We're gonna save the empire!" Jasmine thought.

A few Koopa Troopas were in their way as they left the Cloud Kingdom, but Mario and Luigi defeated them. They also ran into a few Paragoombas, but Daisy and Jasmine stomped on them. After fighting more Paragoombas and Koopa Paratroopas, Jasmine grinned as she saw a town up ahead. As they got closer and closer, Jasmine's grin grew wider.

"Oh my gosh! We're finally here! We're in the Cloud Empire!" Jasmine cheered.

"Yep! Now, let's find Ludwig." Daisy replied.

"He should be in the castle in the Nimbus Kingdom. That's where the emperor and empress live." Jasmine explained.

Mario looked at a map of the empire. "Hmm. The Nimbus Kingdom is in the north."

"Well, it shouldn't take us too long to get there." Luigi said.

"It didn't take me that long when I came here before." Jasmine replied.

"Let's go then. We can stop Ludwig easily!" Daisy grinned.

Mario and the others headed to the Cirrus Kingdom castle, hoping to find Princess Iris. Unfortunately, the princess wasn't there.

"Oh no! Ludwig probably did capture her and the others!" Jasmine said.

"We need to get to the Nimbus Kingdom fast!" Luigi exclaimed.

The others nodded and walked away from Iris's castle. They saw a warp pipe nearby and walked towards it.

"Will this take us to another part of the empire?" Luigi asked.

"Yeah. When I came here with the other monarchs, we went through some pipes and walked through each kingdom." Jasmine explained.

"Where does this pipe lead?" Mario asked.

"I think the Cumulus Kingdom." Jasmine replied.

"Alright. Let's-a-go!" Mario said as he jumped down the warp pipe.

Luigi followed behind his brother, then Daisy, and finally Jasmine. When they made it out on the other side, they were in the Cumulus Kingdom.

"Wow! This place is amazing! We should visit here when we're not trying to fight Koopas." Daisy said.

"Once we stop Ludwig and save the monarchs, maybe we can come back soon." Luigi replied.

They continued walking through the Cumulus Kingdom until they found another warp pipe. The four went through it, making it to the Stratus Kingdom.

Ludwig stood up from the throne and adjusted his crown. He reached into his shell, pulled out his wand, and made his way out of the throne room. Jasmine and the others were almost to the Nimbus Kingdom, so he was going to meet them outside of the castle. He made it to the front doors and walked outside, standing in between the two guards. Ludwig took a deep breath and waited.

"We're almost there!" He heard Jasmine say. He could see her and the others in the distance, running towards the kingdom.

A few minutes later, Jasmine and the others finally arrived at the castle and gasped when they saw Ludwig.

"Hello Jasmine." Ludwig said.

"Ludwig! You need to stop this!" Jasmine replied.

"Why won't you understand that this is right?" Ludwig asked.

"Because it isn't! Look Luddy, I understand that you're upset. I really do. But you can't take over someone else's kingdom!" Jasmine said.

Ludwig sighed. "Jasmine, this is fine! But, you know what would make this even better?"

"What?" Jasmine asked, a little curious.

"If you ruled by my side." Ludwig replied, blushing slightly.

"W-What?" Jasmine asked, her heart fluttering.

"Rule by his side? H-He isn't asking me to marry him, is he!?" Jasmine thought, now blushing.

Ludwig waved his wand, making a bright light form around Jasmine. When it disappeared, she and her friends gasped. Jasmine now wore a sparkling blue dress with a sheer blue cape and a gold and silver crown similar to Ludwig's, but the small figure on hers had a blue "J" on it.

"Jasmine! You look beautiful!" Daisy said.

"Ludwig…" Jasmine whispered.

"We can rule the Cloud Empire together, Jasmine! It will be amazing!" Ludwig replied. When Jasmine didn't respond, Ludwig spoke again.

"Maybe I can show you what I mean." Ludwig waved his wand again.

"Jasmine!" Mario yelled, seeing Jasmine's eyes now glowing white.

Morning finally arrived and the sunlight illuminated the entire castle. Jasmine slowly woke up, yawned, and stretched her arms. She looked to her left and saw her husband stilll fast asleep. She smiled softly and ran her fingers through his wild blue hair.

"He looks so peaceful." Jasmine thought to herself. She leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. Then, Ludwig's eyes slowly opened.

"Good morning, Luddy." Jasmine smiled.

Ludwig yawned and smiled back at her. "Good morning, my love."

Jasmine got out of bed and walked over to their balcony. She smiled as she looked down at the Nimbus Kingdom.

"Today looks like a really nice day!" She said.

"You're right. Why don't the three of us spend the day together? I'm sure Luke would love to do something fun today." Ludwig asked.

"That's a great idea! Let's all eat breakfast and then we can go out." Jasmine replied.

"Ok. I'm sure our son is already awake." Ludwig chuckled.

"So, what are we going to do first?" Luke, Ludwig's and Jasmine's 5 year old son asked. Ludwig ruffled his son's black hair and chuckled.

"Anything you want." He replied.

"Anything?" Luke repeated.

"Yep!" Jasmine said.

"Hmm…" Luke thought for a moment. "Oh! I know! Let's get ice cream!"

"Ice cream? But we just had breakfast not that long ago." Ludwig said.

"Please?" Luke pleaded. Ludwig and Jasmine smiled, finding their son's pleading face adorable.

"Well… I guess just this one time we can." Ludwig replied.

Luke cheered and grabbed their hands. The three then made their way to an ice cream shop in the kingdom.

"He's getting so big. I can't believe Lucas will be six soon!" Ludwig said. After getting ice cream and watching a movie at the theaters, Ludwig and Jasmine decided to take Luke to a playground in the Cirrus Kingdom. They watched as Luke climbed a ladder and slide down a slide, giggling.

"Yeah. I can't believe it!" Jasmine replied.

As they watched Luke run to a seesaw with a little girl, Jasmine sighed happily and rested her head on Ludwig's shoulder.

"You were right, Luddy. Us ruling over the Cloud Empire is great. The empire is just as beautiful as the day I first saw it." She said.

Ludwig chuckled softly. "I told you. I'm just happy that you finally saw where I was coming from."

"Everyone seems to be happy that we're the new emperor and empress. I'm glad." Jasmine replied.

"Emperor Ludwig! Empress Jasmine! There you are!" The two heard a voice say. The royal couple turned around to see a female Koopa Paratroopa with long, curly brown hair flying towards them.

"Oh hello! Can we help you?" Jasmine smiled at her.

"I have a letter for you both from Lord Bowser." The Paratroopa said. She handed the envelope to Ludwig, bowed, and flew away.

Ludwig opened the envelope and pulled out the letter. As he read through it, Ludwig gasped.

"What does it say?" Jasmine asked.

"My father is stepping down as king and Junior will be his successor. His coronation is in a couple of months." Ludwig explained.

"Oh my gosh! Is Junior ready? I mean, he's still pretty young." Jasmine wondered.

"I don't know, but I'm sure my father will help him." Ludwig said.

Jasmine smiled. "Yeah. I'm sure Junior will be a great king!"

Ludwig put the letter back inside of the envelope and put the envelope inside of his shell. He gave Jasmine a soft kiss and they both went back to watching their son playing with the other children.

The vision slowly disappeared and Jasmine's eyes returned to normal. Mario walked closer to Jasmine, noticing the tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Jasmine? Are you alright?" He asked. Jasmine sniffled and wiped her tears away.

"I-I'm fine, Mario. That vision was beautiful." Jasmine replied.

"It was?" Daisy asked.

Jasmine nodded. "Ludwig and I were married and had a son."

"That vision can be a reality someday. I hope you finally see why this is right." Ludwig said as he walked closer to Jasmine. He took her hands and smiled softly.

"I…" Jasmine hesitated.

"Just think about it. You and I, together as emperor and empress!" Ludwig smiled.

"Jasmine, no!" Luigi yelled.

"Don't listen to him, Jas! You know this isn't right!" Daisy added.

Jasmine stayed silent. She looked at Ludwig, and back at her friends.

"That dream WAS beautiful. We seemed so happy together. Even more than we are now." Jasmine thought to herself.

After thinking it over, Jasmine looked Ludwig in the eyes and let go of his hands.

"Jasmine?" Ludwig said.

"Ludwig, I really loved that vision. And I would be over the moon if we got married and started a family one day. But, I'm sorry. It can't happen this way." She explained.

"W-What? Jasmine… You still don't understand?" Ludwig asked.

"No Ludwig. You don't understand. I don't know how I can get through to you," Jasmine reached into her pocket and took out a Fire Flower, "But if I have to fight you to make you stop, then I will."

Ludwig stared at his girlfriend in disbelief. He growled and shook his head.

"You know what? Fine Jasmine! If you beat me, I'll give Skylar his empire back and free everyone. But if you lose, I stay emperor." He said.

"Alright! Let's finish this!" Daisy said, preparing to fight. Jasmine held her hand up to her.

"No guys. This time it's one-on-one." She replied.

"Are you sure? We have enough power-ups to help you out." Mario said.

"Thanks Mario. But I got this."

Mario and the others backed away as Ludwig and Jasmine stared at each other.

"Let's hope she can stop him." Luigi whispered to Mario and Daisy.

"I can't believe you wanna do this, Jasmine!" Ludwig said.

"I don't wanna fight you, but if it's the only way, then that's what I gotta do!" Jasmine replied.

Growling again, Ludwig used his wand and shot blue energy blasts at Jasmine. She dodged each one, making her friends cheer. She threw fireballs at Ludwig, but before he could get hit, Ludwig jumped into the air and began to flutter jump. Once he landed on the ground, Jasmine jumped on his head. Ludwig screamed and retreated into his shell. Jasmine avoided Ludwig's shell as he began to spin around the area.

Once Ludwig was out of his shell, he spit a few fireballs at Jasmine. Jasmine dodged them and threw fireballs at Ludwig, hitting him. Ludwig retreated into his shell again and spun around the area. Unfortunately for Jasmine, Ludwig was able to hit her this time, making her lose her power-up.

"No!" Jasmine cried. Ludwig stopped spinning and popped out of his shell again. He shot more energy blasts at Jasmine, but she got out of the way in time.

"I need to get another power-up! But which one?" Jasmine thought to herself.

Jasmine reached into her pocket and pulled out a Super Star.

Jasmine grinned. "Perfect!"

"Oh no…" Ludwig thought as he saw Jasmine pull out her favorite power-up.

Ludwig tried to run away from Jasmine once she used the Super Star. Mario and the others couldn't help but chuckle as they watched Jasmine chase Ludwig around the area. Pretty soon, Jasmine finally caught up to Ludwig and ran into him, knocking the Koopaling down. Soon the Super Star wore off and Jasmine cheered. Ludwig sighed as he lied on the ground.

"You did it Jasmine! You saved the Cloud Empire!" Daisy cheered.

"Yeah! I did!" Jasmine replied.

Jasmine looked over at Ludwig, who was still on the ground. She walked over to him and knelt down.

"So, it's over huh? I'm back to being a prince and Baron." Ludwig sighed.

"Oh Ludwig…" Jasmine reached into her pocket and handed him a 1-Up Mushroom. Ludwig sighed again as he took the 1-Up Mushroom and ate it.

After being silent for a few minutes, Jasmine spoke again.

"Luddy, I know that you would be a great ruler. But taking over someone else's kingdom or empire isn't the right way. After we free everyone, you and I can go talk to your parents about it." Jasmine said.

"No, I… I don't think I wanna talk about it with them. At least not yet." Ludwig replied, feeling defeated.

"Well, maybe we can go to an orchestra in Darkland or another kingdom! I'm sure that'll cheer you up!" Jasmine smiled sweetly.

A small smile appeared on Ludwig's face. "Yeah. I'd like that."

"Great! Now let's go free everyone!" Jasmine said.

Emperor Skylar and the others sat up when they heard footsteps entering the dungeon. As the footsteps got closer and closer, they saw Ludwig along with Jasmine and her friends. Ludwig grabbed the keys to the cells and unlocked both, freeing everyone.

"Yay! We're free!" Cyrus and Skyla cheered as they ran out of the cell.

"Wow! You guys did it! Thank you so much!" Amaya said.

The monarchs then looked at Ludwig, who tried to avoid their gazes.

"I… Uh…"

Jasmine held his hand and looked at everyone.

"Ludwig is very sorry for taking over the empire and locking everyone in here. He won't do it again." Jasmine said.

"It… Well, it's not ok! My children were scared! You attacked our home! I should have you banned from ever coming back here!" Skylar exclaimed.

"Oh no! Sir, please don't ban Ludwig or the rest of the Koopas! I promise he won't try to take it again." Jasmine said.

"I really do love this place." Ludwig added.

"Dad? Maybe we should give him another chance." Cyrus said.

"Yeah. I mean, he was pretty nice when we first met him, even if he was in a disguise." Skyla replied.

"Kids…" Emperor Skylar said. He looked at his wife Amaya. Then he looked at Iris, Aire, Tempest, and Zephyr.

After thinking it over, Skylar looked back at Jasmine and Ludwig.

"Alright. I'll give you one chance. But if you or your family tries to take over the empire again, you will be banned." Skylar said.

"T-Thank you!" Ludwig smiled.

"Well, I guess we'll be going back to the Mushroom Kingdom." Mario said.

"Thank you again for your help." Zephyr replied.

"It's our pleasure!" Luigi smiled.

Everyone left the dungeon and made their way out of the castle. The other monarchs said goodbye and went through the warp pipes to return to their kingdoms. Mario, Luigi, and Daisy said goodbye to Jasmine and made their way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Jasmine waved to the royal family and walked to a warp pipe with Ludwig. They jumped through it and arrived at the Cumulus Kingdom.

"There's a concert hall here. We can go here to see the orchestra." Ludwig suggested.

"Sure! Lead the way!" Jasmine said.

Ludwig smiled and walked to the concert hall, Jasmine following next to him.

Originally this was going to be the final chapter, but I'm gonna make one more. I'll try to write it tomorrow or next week since I'll be very busy this weekend. I hope you all enjoyed this one!

Hi everyone! At last, here's the final chapter! I hope you all like it! Part of this is based off of my fanfic "Ludwig's Wedding Redux".

A couple of years have passed since Ludwig invaded and took over the Cloud Empire. Ludwig was still concerned about who would rule over Darkland, but he did his best to not think about it as much. Now 21, Ludwig was in his room writing a new song. He thought about his conversation with his siblings earlier that day. They thought that it'd be interesting if Ludwig and Jasmine would get married someday and possibly be the new king and queen of Darkland. Ludwig still wasn't sure if he'd be king, but the thought of marrying his girlfriend made his heart flutter.

"Marriage huh? Hmm. Maybe… I should ask-"

"Are you sure he's ready?" Ludwig's thoughts were interrupted when he heard Kamek's voice coming from the hallway.

"Of course! Bowser and I have so much faith in him!" Clawdia replied.

"Yeah. He's ready." Bowser said.

"Hm? What's going on?" Ludwig thought. Ludwig tried to listen closely, but the three walked away.

"What was that about?" He whispered to himself. Ludwig yawned and decided to go to sleep. He put his sheet music away, got into bed, and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Ludwig woke up the next morning to find Kamek flying on his broomstick. Kamek told Ludwig that Bowser wanted him and his siblings in the dining room immediately. Confused, Ludwig and all of his siblings arrived and sat at the table with their parents. After the chefs gave the royal Koopa family their breakfast and they began to eat, Bowser cleared his throat.

"Everyone, I have big news to share with you." Bowser began.

"What's that, Papa?" Junior asked.

"I'm gonna step down as King of the Koopas." Bowser replied. Everyone gasped and dropped their forks. Morton spat out his orange juice onto Wendy, making her mad. Smiling sheepishly, Morton apologized and handed her a napkin.

"So, if you're stepping down, who's going to rule the kingdom?" Lemmy asked.

"Is it me!? I'll be a great king!" Junior cheered.

"Uh, no sweetie. You won't be the King." Clawdia replied.

"W-What? But why not?" Junior asked.

"Honey, you're still too young." Clawdia said. She noticed her son looking sad and tried to calm him down.

"Junior's not Father's successor? Then… Who is?" Ludwig thought to himself.

"I-If it's not me, then who's going to be the King?" Junior asked. Bowser and Clawdia looked at everyone and smiled.

"Ludwig." Bowser and Clawdia said in unison, making the others gasp again.

"M-Me?! Really?!" Ludwig asked, still shocked by the news.

"Haha yeah!" Bowser grinned.

"Since you're 21 now, we felt like you're ready to rule the kingdom." Clawdia smiled sweetly. Ludwig sat there, grinning.

"I… I don't know what to say." Ludwig said, still grinning.

"I can't believe it! I'm going to be king!" Ludwig thought.

Years have passed since Ludwig became king of the Koopa Kingdom. Ludwig and Jasmine got married a few months after Ludwig became king and Jasmine was crowned Queen after the ceremony. The couple are happily married and now have 8 children. One morning, Ludwig yawned and stretched his arms as he woke up. He looked to his right and saw that the other side of the bed was empty.

"Huh. Jasmine and the others must be up already." Ludwig said to himself. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

After brushing his teeth, washing his face, and brushing his hair, Ludwig left the bathroom and made his way to the dining room where his family was already sitting down and eating. Ludwig looked over at his wife Jasmine as she fed their newborn daughter Amelia. His oldest son Luke was cleaning his glasses after his baby brother Jazz, a human/Koopa hybrid, slapped his food onto Luke. Ludwig's daughter Jackie, another human/koopa hybrid, was eating her cereal and humming. Megan, Ludwig and Jasmine's adopted daughter, was hugging her teddy bear that Ludwig gave her.

Ludwig's and Jasmine's twin son and daughter, Luddy and Cadenza, were making silly faces to Roy's human/Koopa hybrid twin daughters Roxy and Kailey. And their daughter Ebony was talking with Iggy's youngest daughter Sabrina. Ludwig smiled as he sat down at the table next to Jasmine.

"Good morning, Papa!" Megan greeted.

"Good morning, sweetie." Ludwig replied.

"You're finally awake. You must've been tired." Jasmine giggled and gave her husband a kiss on the cheek.

"Well, we were in a pretty long meeting yesterday." Ludwig chuckled.

"At least we don't have to do much today." Jasmine replied.

"That's right. Why don't we go out and do something fun today?" Ludwig suggested.

"Sure! How about after breakfast?" Jasmine replied.

"Of course, my love." Ludwig smiled.

"Where are we going, daddy?" Cadenza asked. Ludwig had one of the airships ready for them to fly out of the Koopa Kingdom.

Ludwig chuckled. "We're going to one of my favorite places."

Luke looked out of the window and saw that they were flying near Meringue Clouds.

"We're going to Meringue Clouds?" He asked.

"Haha nope! We're headed to another place in the clouds." Ludwig replied.

"Ludwig, are we going where I think we're going?" Jasmine asked, smirking.

"Maybe." Ludwig replied and smirked back at her.

The Von Koopa family flew away from Meringue Clouds and flew passed the Cloud Kingdom. The kids gasped when they arrived at a different kingdom. They saw many Lakitus, humans, and Goombas walking around and laughing.

"Woah! What's this place, Dad?" Luddy asked.

"This is the Cloud Empire!" Ludwig replied.

"It's amazing!" Ebony said. Amelia cooed, making Ludwig and Jasmine smile.

The airship landed and everyone walked out of it and onto the clouds. As they looked around, two familiar people saw them and walked over.

"Wow! It's been some time since you've been here, King Ludwig." Ludwig and Jasmine looked up and saw Prince Cyrus and Princess Skyla, who were now older.

"Hello Cyrus! Hey Skyla." Jasmine smiled and greeted.

"Hi! Man, it's been awhile. How long has it been since you've been here?" Skyla replied.

"Hmm. Y'know, I can't remember. I know it was after Luke was born." Ludwig said.

"You guys clearly have your hands full now." Skyla giggled.

Ludwig and Jasmine introduced Skyla and Cyrus to their children. Some of them were excited, while the others were a little shy.

"So, did you parents tell you guys how your dad took over our empire?" Cyrus asked, making the kids gasp.

"No way! You did that, Dad?" Luke asked.

"Hehe yeah. But your mom stopped me." Ludwig replied.

"Oooh! Can we hear that story? Pretty please?" Jackie asked.

"Yeah! Let's go to our castle. The others are there too. I'm sure they'd be excited to see you all and tell the story too." Skyla replied.

"Yay!" The kids cheered as Cyrus and Skyla led them to their castle in the Nimbus Kingdom.

Ludwig looked around the empire and couldn't help but smile. Even though he was no longer the emperor, he was very happy to be king and have Jasmine and the kids by his side.
