Jeanette's Confession
Hello everyone! I decided to take a break from working on my Mario fanfic and decided to finally make an AATC story! After all these years, besides my cringy old crossover stories, I've never made a Chipmunks fanfic. But I at least wanted to make one. So for this fanfic, I thought it would be fun to bring back two of my old Chipmunk FCs. I hope you all enjoy it! Hopefully the characters won't be too OOC ^^; I haven't looked at anything Chipmunks related that much lately
Disclaimer: I only own Max and Rhonda
Jeanette and her sisters have been friends with the Chipmunks since they were children. Over the years, they began to develop feelings for each other. Theodore and Eleanor were the first to start dating. The two had crushes on each other, but got together when they first started middle school. Alvin and Brittany have been dating on and off since their sophomore year of high school. Now in their senior year, Simon and Jeanette were the only two not in a relationship.
Jeanette wanted to tell Simon how she felt, but she was too shy to say it. When the Chipmunks were in middle school, they made two new friends. They were two Chipmunks named Max and Rhonda who moved to their neighborhood a week from each other. Lately, Jeanette noticed that Simon and Rhonda have been hanging out a lot. The two were always seen in the school's library and they sometimes hung out after school.
Jeanette was in her room finishing up her math homework. As she put her homework into her backpack, she began to think about Simon and Rhonda. Jeanette sighed and lied down on her bed.
"I want to tell Simon I love him, but I don't know. What if he doesn't feel the same? What if… He'd rather date Rhonda? She is prettier than I am." Jeanette began to tear up. She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep.
The high school prom was coming up soon and the seniors were excited. The Chipettes bought their dresses a while ago and Brittany couldn't wait to wear hers. As the sisters talked about the dance, Eleanor glanced over at Jeanette and noticed she looked a little sad.
"Jeanette? Are you ok?" She asked. Jeanette looked up at her little sister and gave her a smile.
"Oh. I'm fine Ellie!" Jeanette replied. Eleanor could tell Jeanette was lying and sat next to her.
"No you're not. What's wrong? You can tell us." Eleanor said and gave Jeanette a warm smile. Jeanette sighed and stared at the floor.
"Well, it's just that… I still have feelings for Simon." Jeanette began.
"So? Tell him how you feel." Brittany said as she put on lip gloss.
"That's the problem! I-I'm scared to! Plus…" Jeanette trailed off.
"Hm? What else?" Eleanor asked. Jeanette sighed again.
"I don't know if he feels the same. He's been hanging out with Rhonda lately. I wouldn't be surprised if they start dating before I get the chance to tell him. Rhonda is beautiful. And I'm… Not that pretty." Jeanette replied as she held back tears.
"Jeanette, don't think that way! You're just as beautiful as Rhonda!" Brittany said.
"Britt's right! You're very pretty Jeanette." Eleanor added. Jeanette wiped away the tears she didn't notice falling at first.
"Thanks guys. You're the best. But, I'm still scared to tell him." Jeanette replied.
"Hmm. You could tell him during prom." Brittany suggested. Jeanette begin to slightly blush.
"P-Prom?! W-With everyone else around!?" She exclaimed.
"Haha no! You can pull him to the side where no one's looking." Eleanor giggled. Jeanette thought for a moment. Then she smiled.
"Alright! I'll give it a try!"
Prom night finally arrived and all of the students arrived at the venue. Everyone was having a great time talking with their friends, dancing, and eating. Alvin and Brittany were dancing while Theodore and Eleanor decided to get something to eat. Jeanette sat at a table with Simon, Max, and Rhonda. Max wasn't wearing his orange hat tonight, showing more of his brown hair, and Rhonda had her long black hair down instead of in a ponytail like usual.
Jeanette felt a little sad that Simon was sitting next to Rhonda, but tried to stay positive. As the four friends talked, Rhonda spoke up.
"Hey Max. You wanna dance with me?" She asked him. Max looked at her, his face turning a slight shade of pink.
"Y-You wanna dance with me?" He asked. Rhonda stood up and took his hand.
"Of course! Come on, it'll be fun, Max!" Rhonda said and dragged her friend to the dance floor, making Simon and Jeanette laugh.
"Hehe. You know, I'm honestly surprised those two aren't a couple yet. They seem to like each other." Simon said. Jeanette looked at her friend, shocked.
"They do?!" She asked.
"Yes. I've seen the way Max looks at Rhonda sometimes. And she seems to like him too." Simon explained.
"So… You don't have feelings for Rhonda?" Jeanette asked, making Simon raise an eyebrow.
"Rhonda? She and I are just friends. What made you think I loved her, Jeanette?" Simon asked. Jeanette looked around at everyone.
"L-Let's talk in the hallway." Jeanette said. The two got up and made their way to the hall where no one would hear their conversation. Jeanette took a deep breath and stared at her feet.
"Well, it's just that I've noticed you and Rhonda spending time together. You're always hanging out after school or in the school's library." Jeanette said.
"Jeanette, Rhonda just needed some extra help with her homework. That's why we were in the library a lot together. And since we're friends, she and I just wanted to hang out." Simon explained. Jeanette looked up at him, feeling relieved.
"Oh…" The two were silent for a few minutes. Then, Jeanette spoke.
"Um Simon? Can… Can I tell you something?" Jeanette asked nervously.
"Of Course Jeanette. We're friends." Simon smiled.
"Alright! I can do this!" She thought.
"Simon, I… I love you! I've always had feelings for you since we were kids. But I was too afraid to confess my feelings." Jeanette said, her face red. Simon stared at her, blushing.
"Y-You do?" He asked. Jeanette nodded. They were silent again. Then, Simon smiled.
"Jeanette, I feel the same." Shocked, Jeanette gasped.
"R-Really?!" She said.
"Yes. I've always had. I just wasn't sure when the right time was to tell you." Simon replied. He was shocked when she hugged him tightly.
"Oh Simon! I'm so happy! I was afraid you only thought of me as a friend." Jeanette said, crying tears of joy. Simon smiled as he wiped her tears away.
"I really do love you Jeanette. I'd love for you to be my… Girlfriend." Simon said, making the two of them blush again.
"I-I'd love to!" Jeanette smiled. The two stared at each other. Then, they leaned in and kissed, still blushing.
"Oh..My… Gosh!" They heard a familiar voice say. The two pulled away and saw Brittany along with the rest of their siblings and friends.
"Y-You saw that?!" Simon asked.
"It's about time you two got together!" Alvin chuckled.
"Yeah! I always wondered when you guys would." Theodore smiled.
"Uh… L-Let's go back to the dance." Jeanette said, her face completely red now. The rest of the Chipmunks went back inside. Simon and Jeanette followed behind them, holding hands.
"I can't believe this is real! Simon and I are finally together!" Jeanette thought to herself, smiling.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed it! Like I said, I haven't really looked at anything AATC related that much lately, so I really hope the Chipmunks and Chipettes weren't OOC. Maybe I'll write another Chipmunks story in the future!
