A New Home, A New Heart

Hello everyone! I'm posting a brand new story since "Jasmine meets the Koopas" is almost finished! Actually, it's yet another rewrite! Now, the original version of this story from years ago was called "Home Is Where The Heart Is" and the last versions of it were called "A New Family" and "A New Family Remake." Back around 2019 I believe when I was making edits to "A New Family Remake", I told myself that I wasn't going to rewrite the story. But after skimming through the fic and trying so hard to improve my writing skills, it needs a rewrite.

I've been planning this story out for a few months now (I'm not even finished outlining this but I'm impatient and wanted to post the first chapter LOL). So, if you read the last version of this story back in 2017, I hope this version will be a lot better.

Sadly, this first chapter isn't that long, but I still hope you all like it!

It was late at night in the Mushroom World and everyone was fast asleep. Sarasaland, a large country made up of four kingdoms, has been peaceful ever since Mario, the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, defeated the evil space alien Tatanga and rescued Princess Daisy, one of the rulers of Sarasaland. Ever since then, everyone in the kingdom has been very happy and haven't had to worry about anyone invading. Princess Daisy, the older daughter of King Rowan and Queen Maia, participated in and won a kart race earlier today with her friends. The citizens cheered as they watched her enter the kingdom, carrying her gold trophy.

Usually, the night guards in each area of Sarasaland were the only ones who were up at night. Well… as far as they knew. Besides the night guards, there was someone still up tonight. Two people actually.

In the Birabuto Kingdom, a large desert land, a teenage girl was standing outside of a window of a house. She checked her surroundings, making sure that no one was nearby to catch her. She looked inside of the open window.

"Hurry up!" She whispered.

"I'm trying!" A voice coming from inside whispered back to her. "I'm trying to grab enough!"

The girl glanced around anxiously again. So far, no one was outside to see or hear them. A minute later, a teenage boy approached the window and handed the girl some food and water. After he climbed out of and gently closed the window (with a couple of items from the refrigerator), the two hastily fled from the house. With food and drinks in their arms, they hurried through the Birabuto Kingdom.

Eventually, the two teens found the abandoned stall that they usually sat in.

Sighing, the boy remarked, "Hopefully no one saw us."

The girl frowned as she unwrapped a sandwich. "I hate stealing…"

The boy looked at her. "I know, Kacey. But what else can we do?"

Kacey let out a sigh. "Kayden, we need to leave. We need help!"

"Where would we go?" asked Kayden.

Kacey shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. But someone could help us."

Kayden shook his head. "I don't think anyone's going to help, sis."

"You don't know that." Kacey answered.

Kayden frowned as he turned to face his sister once more. "No one has helped us for four years, Kacey! Who'd help now?"

Sighing, Kacey looked away from him and glanced down at her feet. The two siblings sat quietly for a moment, eating their stolen food.

Then, Kacey said, "Someone will help us. I know it."

After that, the two siblings sat in silence again, eating their sandwiches.

I really wish this chapter could've been longer. Well, I'll work on the next chapter another day :)

Hi! I'm finally back with chapter two after finishing "Jasmine Meets the Koopas"! Unfortunately, this one is kinda short too ; but I hope you all enjoy it!

One day in the Koopa Kingdom, the Koopalings and Bowser Jr. groaned as they entered the game room. Once again, the Koopas lost to Mario and Luigi during Bowser's latest kidnapping mission. Larry flopped down on a large beanbag chair.

"I don't even feel like gaming today…" The youngest Koopaling said.

Ludwig snorted. "That's shocking."

Larry scoffed and closed his eyes. Lemmy sat on the floor and looked at his yellow ball. He then said, "At least this'll be the last invasion plan for a bit."

Roy let out a sigh and pulled out his phone from his shell. As soon as he unlocked it, a text popped up, making him smirk. The person that texted him was a girl named Petunia. He opened the message and read it.

"I can't wait to go out with you tonight!"

Roy replied back, "You're gonna have a great time."

Morton, Roy's younger twin, noticed the look on his face and raised an eyebrow. "Who are you talking to?"

"That girl Petunia from Shellspire City." Roy answered.

Morton shook his head. "Another one. Didn't you go on a date with a girl last week?"

Wendy, the only girl of the group, spoke up. "Yeah. What about Mira?"

Larry, his eyes still closed, said, "Forget Mira. What happened to Leila?"

Ludwig asked, "Or Nikki?"

"Don't forget Ruby, Starla, and Cherry!" Lemmy said.

Roy crossed his arms. "So?"

Iggy snickered. "So, which date is this one? Number thirty?"

A few of the Koopalings laughed along with him, making Roy growl in annoyance. Once everyone calmed down, Ludwig looked at Roy.

"You go on one or two dates with these girls." Ludwig sat up and straightened his posture. "When was the last time you had a serious relationship, Roy?"

Roy blinked. "Uh…"

"He dated Amber for almost a year that one time." said Wendy.

Iggy adjusted his glasses and added, "Oh! He dated Tasha for a few months."

Roy scowled at his siblings. "Why do ya even care about my love life?! Me and those girls just didn't click. As long as she's hot, she's fine with me!"

Morton frowned as he recalled what their older cousin said to Roy two years ago. "Like Sandy said before, you shouldn't care about looks." When Roy rolled his eyes, Morton sighed. "Roy, I'm sure you're going to find the right girl and be serious with her. Maybe not now, but someday."

"Gross!" Bowser Jr. exclaimed. "Can you guys stop talking about dating?"

Roy smirked at his baby brother. "Finally! Something we can agree on!"

The others either sighed or shook their heads. After that, Roy went back to looking at his phone. As he talked to Petunia, he began to think.

"It's just dating. I ain't marrying 'em." He gave Petunia's recent message a thumbs up. "Maybe my date tonight will be interesting."

If I have time tomorrow, I'll work on the next chapter :D

Roy grinned as he flew away from the castle. It was finally evening and it was time for his date with Petunia. After a few minutes, he arrived in Emberstone, one of the towns in the Koopa Kingdom.

"Alright, where's… ah!"

He spotted Hammer Bro.'s Grill, the restaurant he and Petunia agreed to go to. Once he landed, he saw someone standing by the door already.

It was a Dragon Koopa girl his age. She had long, wavy pink hair with a flower hair clip on the right side, blue eyes, golden skin like most Koopas, and a lavender shell with white rings surrounding the spikes. She looked just as attractive as she did when Roy first spotted her in Shellspire City. Roy hopped out of his Clown Car and walked over to her.

"Hi, Roy!" Petunia greeted him.

Roy smirked. "Hey." He looked her, his smirk growing. "You look hot."

Petunia's cheeks turned pink and she giggled. "Thanks. So are you."

Roy flexed his muscles. "Yeah, I know."

She took his hand and they walked inside.

Roy took a bite of his burger, grumbling to himself. Petunia smiled as she talked. Not just talked, bragged. She bragged about being the most popular girl in her school, the amount of friends that she had, how lots of guys desired her.

This… this was strange. Usually, Roy had a great time with his dates. From start to finish, he and the girl would have fun together. But tonight? Roy was getting bored of Petunia, which was VERY surprising.

"What's going on…? What's different this time?" Roy wondered.

After taking a sip of her pink lemonade, Petunia smiled. "Like I said, I'm the most popular girl in school." She pushed back a strand of pink hair out of her face. "And now, I'm gonna be even more popular after going on this date with you!"

Roy dropped his burger onto his plate. "Is this chick using me right now?!"

As she continued to talk, Roy zoned out a few times and glanced at his phone. He looked up and to his right when he heard a few couples talking to each other and laughing.

Roy frowned for a moment, but put his smirk back on when Petunia said, "I really love your muscles!"

After dinner, Roy and Petunia made the decision to go to the movies. They agreed on watching a horror film that just released. As they sat in the theater and the movie started, Roy zoned out again, barely reacting to the opening kill.

"What the heck is going on!?" Roy thought to himself. "My last dates never felt so… boring! Petunia's hot! I mean, she's stupid trying to use me, but still!"

Once the movie ended, Roy and Petunia flew in his Clown Car to Petunia's home in Shellspire City. The city lights were very beautiful, but not as beautiful as the neon lights in Neo Bowser City.

"There it is!" Petunia said, pointing to a large building on a quiet street.

Roy nodded and landed his Clown Car in front of her house. He got out and took Petunia's hand, helping her get out. She then gave him a smile.

"Thanks for taking me out, Roy." She said.

Roy replied, "No problem, girly."

Petunia giggled and kissed Roy, much to his shock. He quickly relaxed and kissed her back, but once again, he felt bored.

Petunia pulled away and stated, "I'd love to go out again sometime."

Roy nodded. "Yeah…"

After saying goodbye, Petunia entered her house. Sighing, Roy hopped back inside of his Clown Car. As he made his way back to the castle, Roy said to himself, "This date sucked! Ugh!"

Roy snarled. Then, he thought back to what his siblings told him.

"Maybe they were right…" Roy quickly shook his head. "Nah. Maybe I should go out with another girl."

He made it to the castle and landed.

Hi! I have a cold, but I got some energy to write!

Morning sunlight poured through the tall windows of the throne room in Sarasaland's main palace. The warm light painted the marble floor in shades of gold as Princesses Daisy and Azalea sat upon their thrones, listening patiently to the line of citizens waiting to speak with them.

Most days, the concerns were simple—trade disputes, lost shipments, irrigation problems from the desert winds of the Birabuto Kingdom. They took each one seriously.

But today, something felt different.

A middle-aged merchant stepped forward, bowing respectfully.

"Your Highnesses," he said, wringing his hands, "I come with a complaint from the villages of the Birabuto Kingdom."

Daisy leaned forward slightly. "Go on."

The merchant replied, "For some time now… homes and storage sheds have been broken into. Bread, dried fruit, water—things like that. Nothing valuable, but it keeps happening."

Murmurs rippled through the throne room as several other citizens nodded in agreement.

A farmer stepped forward next. "It's been going on for years. Your Highnesses. At first we thought it was animals or something…"

"B-But animals don't open doors or windows." Another villager nervously added.

Daisy frowned thoughtfully. "Years?" She repeated.

The merchant nodded. "We reported it to your parents before, Your Majesties. Guards were sent to look into it, but nothing was ever found. The thefts would stop for a while in one town… then start again somewhere else."

Another citizen spoke up. "Whoever it is only takes food and water. Sometimes clothing if it's left outside to dry."

Daisy tapped her finger lightly against the armrest of her throne.

Azalea asked, "No coins? No jewelry?"

The farmer shook his head and responded, "No, Your Highness. Just supplies."

That made the room fall quiet.

Daisy exchanged a glance with Azalea and one of the palace guards. Something about this didn't feel like ordinary crime.

"Does anyone know how many thieves there might be?" Daisy asked.

The merchant shook his head. "No one's ever seen them clearly. A shadow once… maybe two shapes running across the rooftops. But it was dark."

Two shapes. Daisy's eyes narrowed slightly in thought.

Daisy carefully said, "If this has been happening for so long, then whoever is responsible has become very good at avoiding notice."

The older princess stood from her throne, her expression determined. She then looked to her right.

"Captain, send word to the Birabuto guards. I want quiet patrols at night. No alarms, no chasing unless absolutely necessary."

The captain bowed. "Yes, Princess."

Daisy looked back at the gathered citizens.

"And if anyone sees anything unusual—anything at all—you are to report it immediately."

Azalea nodded in agreement.

The merchant bowed once again. "Thank you, Your Highnesses. We only hoped you might look into it a little more."

As the citizens slowly filed out of the throne room, Daisy remained standing, her gaze drifting toward the horizon visible through the palace windows.

Food. Water. Clothing.

Nothing else.

Whoever the thieves are… they weren't stealing for wealth.

They were stealing to survive.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to write tomorrow, but I'll try to work on the next chapter soon!

Tiana Koopa is not me! She originally started out as my self insert as a kid, but a year later (I think lol) I wanted Tiana to be her own character. I just kept my username as her name cuz I wanted it to be the same as one of my fan characters :)

Roy let out a sigh as he stared at the purple-haired Dragon Koopa seated across from him. Two days later after his date with Petunia, Roy decided to go on a date with a new girl, Amy. And just like with Petunia, Roy was very bored. He tasted his strawberry ice cream and looked up at Amy again, who took a bite of her Popsicle. Amy gave the burly Koopaling a smile.

"Are you having a good time, Roy?" She asked.

Roy nodded. "Yeah."

Inside though, Roy wasn't feeling great. The only thing that was alright to him was his ice cream. As he ate his cold treat, he put on a smirk as he talked to Amy.

After his date, Roy returned to the castle. He found his family in the living room when he walked through the halls. He walked inside and caught Lemmy's attention. The smallest Koopaling gave his younger brother a bright smile.

"Hey, Roy! How was your date?" Lemmy asked him.

Roy shrugged, which made his family concerned.

"That's the same reaction you had with the last girl!" Larry remarked. "What's going on?"

Roy sighed and took a seat. "I dunno what's happening!"

Clawdia sat up and looked at her son. "Honey, maybe you should stop going on random dates for a while."

Roy arched an eyebrow at his mother. "Why?"

Clawdia responded, "Maybe you should just… work on improving yourself and find the right girl."

Roy groaned. "You sound like Morton, Ma."

Morton chuckled. "Well, we're right."

Roy rolled his eyes and said, "You're lucky another hot girl ain't caught my attention yet."

Clawdia let out a sigh. "Just think about it, Roy."

A week later, Roy headed back to the castle after another date. This time, it was with a girl from Cinder Heights. Once again, Roy was bored during the date. The girl was really cool, but she still didn't keep Roy's attention. Roy entered the castle and made his way to the game room. When he got there, all of his siblings (with the exception of Iggy) were inside, chilling.

Morton was the first to notice Roy. "How did your date go?"

"Same as the last few…" Roy answered.

Larry turned to face him. "Maybe video games will help ya."

Video games? Eh, it was worth a shot. Roy shrugged his shoulders and sat with Larry, Morton, and Bowser Jr. He picked up a controller as Larry turned on the Nintendo Switch 2 and started up Mario Kart World. After that, the four brothers began to play, with Larry in the lead.

Twenty minutes later, as the four played and the others continued to relax, Iggy walked into the room, holding hands with a familiar Koopa girl with purple eyes and purple glasses.

"Hey, guys!" Iggy greeted his siblings.

Lemmy looked up and gasped, catching Ludwig's attention. Ludwig looked up from his sheet music and over at the two Koopas by the door. He placed his sheet music on the table in front of him and Lemmy.

"Iggy?" Ludwig slowly smiled. "Are… are you two…?"

The girl, Tiana, giggled and hugged Iggy. "We're back together!"

Larry paused the game and everyone looked at the young couple.

Lemmy asked, "Are you serious?" When Iggy nodded, Lemmy beamed. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This is so great!"

He jumped off of the couch and ran over to them. He then pulled his brother and friend into a tight hug. Iggy and Tiana smiled and returned the hug. As Wendy began to talk to them, Roy began to think to himself. He thought about what his family told him again. He then thought about the last few dates that he's been on and how he didn't enjoy them.

"Ludwig found Jasmine when he was sixteen. And now, Iggy and Tiana are back together." Roy scratched the back of his head. "I'm sixteen now. I mean, if Ludwig could find someone at sixteen… maybe I could too." Roy frowned. "Ugh. I hate when they're right."

Roy looked at Iggy and Tiana again, who were talking about a location to go to on a date.

"Maybe I should get a girlfriend. Someone I actually like." He smirked. "Yeah. I can do that."

Finally back with a new chapter!

Luigi, the younger twin brother of Super Mario, grinned as he put on his green hat and white gloves. Today, he wasn't staying in the Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi was going to leave for a while. He turned to look at his older brother, who was sitting on the couch eating a cookie.

"Alright, Mario! I'm ready to go to Sarasaland!" He said.

After eating the rest of the cookie, Mario nodded. "Okie dokie! Have fun, Wegee!"

Luigi then walked out of their house after they said goodbye.

After jumping through different Warp Pipes, Luigi finally reached Sarasaland. Just like the Mushroom Kingdom, Sarasaland was very beautiful. Luigi looked around, seeing so many people out today. When he looked to his left, he saw two people walking out of the Birabuto Kingdom. It was a man and a woman, both with fair skin and blue eyes.

The man had dark brown hair with bangs similar to Daisy's. He also had a dark brown beard. He wore a gold crown with orange jewels, a brooch with an orange jewel, a burgundy shirt, a black belt with an orange buckle, gray pants, and black boots.

The woman had orange hair in a similar style to Azalea's, but longer, and wore a silver crown adorned with gold diamonds. Her gold earrings were also shaped like diamonds. Her long white gloves had petal-shaped openings just like Daisy's. The lavender dress she wore had a white waistband with a gold diamond in the middle. The bottom of her dress was white with gold diamonds over each section.

The two people spotted Luigi and walked over to him with smiles on their faces.

"Hello, Luigi!" They said in unison.

Luigi gave them a smile also. "Hello, King Rowan, Queen Maia."

Queen Maia then said, "Rowan and I were just on our way to the Muda Kingdom for a visit. Daisy and Azalea are at our castle."

Luigi nodded. "Ok! Have a great day, Your Majesties."

After saying goodbye to each other, Rowan and Maia made their way to the Muda Kingdom. Luigi then jumped down another pipe.

When Luigi climbed out of the Warp Pipe, he was now in front of the massive castle in the center of Sarasaland. Azalea was standing outside of the castle, wearing her favorite outfit: an orange polo shirt with white short sleeves, yellow shorts with orange trims, and matching shoes with mid-height white socks underneath. On her head, she wore her usual white visor with an "N" on the front and an orange brim with white lining.

"Hey, Luigi!" Azalea greeted. "Come on in!"

Luigi followed Azalea inside the castle and down the hall. They quickly made it to the throne room, where Luigi saw Daisy sitting on her throne, deep in thought.

"Hey, Daisy!" Luigi said.

Daisy didn't respond. Azalea walked over to her sister and gently shook her.

"Sis! Hey!" Azalea exclaimed.

Finally, Daisy snapped out of it. "Huh? Wha? Oh, sorry. Hey, Lu!"

Furrowing his brow, Luigi approached his girlfriend. "Are you ok, Daisy?"

Daisy let out a sigh. "Yeah. I'm just… thinking."

Luigi tilted his head. "About what?"

Azalea replied, "Probably the thieves in the Birabuto Kingdom."

Luigi gasped. "Th-Thieves?"

Daisy nodded and remarked, "For a few years now, people have been stealing food and water there. Clothes too sometimes."

Luigi raised an eyebrow. "Really? What about coins or anything expensive?"

Daisy shook her head. "Nope. Just those things. I asked the guards in the Birabuto Kingdom to look into it more tonight." Daisy then frowned. "I'd love to know who it is. If our people are struggling to the point where they need to steal, I wanna help them."

Smiling, Luigi responded, "I'm sure you'll find out soon."

Daisy returned his smile. "Yeah." She then stood up from her throne. "Well, now that you're here, Luigi, why don't we all hang out in the living room? Maybe we could watch a movie and play some games?"

Azalea grinned. "Right! We could play golf!"

Daisy chuckled and replied, "I was thinking video games, but that sounds great too!"

"Golf sounds fun!" Luigi said, a smile on his face once again.

Instead of watching a movie, the three grabbed everything that they needed to play golf and headed outside.

Azalea won their game, which made her smile brightly. Later on, they were finally in the living room. Instead of a movie though, the three were watching a TV show, starring a Pionpi and a Gao. Azalea then turned to Luigi.

"You should stay for dinner, Luigi." She said.

Luigi smiled and replied, "I'd love to!"

The characters smile a lot to me in this chapter ^^;

Also, I can't remember if I mentioned this, but in my AU, Azalea from Mario Golf is Daisy's younger sister since they look similar.

And, originally, I never planned on making designs for Daisy's parents or even Peach and the Bros. since I'm so used to Nintendrawer's FCs. But I decided to make Daisy's since I didn't wanna just call them the king and queen in this story. Maybe I'll design Peach's mother and use her dad's design from the old Mario comics

Another thing, Daisy's castle being in the center of Sarasaland is based off of the Super Mario Land manga!

Hello! Here's a new chapter! Also, the Mario Galaxy movie comes out today! Still can't believe they're releasing it on April Fools Day. And it's my nephew's first birthday today, so happy birthday to him :D

Well, let's get on with the chapter!

Night eventually fell in Sarasaland after a few hours went by. Everyone in each kingdom headed inside of their homes and got ready for bed. Thirty minutes later, it was quiet. Two figures slipped quietly between the market stalls. Kayden moved first, keeping low as he crept along the edge of the marketplace. Behind him, Kacey followed, clutching a worn cloth sack that she found on the ground.

Kacey whispered, "Do you see anyone?"

Kayden shook his head, scanning the dark street.

"No." He murmured. "I think most of the guards patrol near the gates. We should be fine."

Kacey wasn't so sure. Something about tonight felt different. They have been doing this for four years—moving quietly through towns, taking only what they needed. A loaf of bread here. A water bottle there. Sometimes a spare outfit left hanging outside a house.

Never too much. Never enough to draw attention. But tonight the town felt… tense.

Kayden carefully slipped behind one of the stalls and lifted the cloth covering a crate. Empty.

"Nothing." He whispered.

Kacey checked another stall nearby. Her eyes brightened slightly.

"There." She breathed.

Inside a small basket sat two pieces of flatbread left behind by a merchant who must've packed up in a hurry. Kayden allowed himself a small smile.

He looked at his sister and remarked, "Good find."

Kacey carefully placed the bread into their sack. "We should go before—"

Voices echoed suddenly from the far end of the market. Both siblings froze. Lantern light flickered between the buildings as several armored figures stepped into the square.

One of the men said, "Spread out. Princess's orders. Check every corner."

Kacey's heart nearly stopped. Guards. Kayden grabbed her arm. He whispered urgently, "Come on."

They darted across the square, keeping low behind the rows of abandoned stalls. Footsteps and clinking armor grew louder as the guards moved closer.

Kacey pointed and whispered, "There!"

One of the market stalls had collapsed long ago. Its wooden counter leaned sideways, and a torn canopy drooped over the frame. The space beneath it was dark and cluttered with brown crates. Kayden nodded. They crawled inside.

The cramped space smelled like dust and old wood. Kayden carefully pulled a loose board back into place, leaving only a thin gap to see through. Outside, the guards' lantern light swept across the marketplace. Kacey pressed her hand over her mouth to steady her breathing.

She muttered, "What if they find us?"

Kayden didn't answer right away. If the guards catch them… He had heard stories. Thieves thrown into the dungeons beneath the palace of Sarasaland. Locked away for years.

Kacey's fingers tightened around his sleeve. "They'll put us in the dungeon." She whispered, her voice trembling. "We can't go there, Kayden."

Kayden shook his head firmly. He quietly said, "They won't find us."

Bootsteps approached. Closer. A lantern passed only a few feet from their hiding place, its golden light spilling across the dusty ground outside the stall. Kayden held his breath. One of the guards stopped.

"Check the stalls." The guard said.

Another guard stepped toward them. Kayden slowly reached out and pulled Kacey closer, shielding her behind him. The guard's lantern lifted, light brushing against the broken boards of the stall. For a moment, it seemed certain he'd look inside. Then, another voice called from the far end of the square.

"Nothing over here!"

The guard hesitated. After a moment, he lowered the lantern. He then said, "Let's move. The captain wants the west street checked next."

Their footsteps then faded away. Silence returned to the marketplace. Kayden waited several long seconds before finally letting out a quiet breath. Kacey slowly removed her hand from her mouth.

"Are they gone?" She whispered.

Kayden peeked through the gap in the boards. The square was empty again. He nodded and said, "For now."

Kacey leaned back against the wooden wall of the stall, her hands still shaking. "This is getting even harder." She muttered softly.

Kayden looked down at the small sack of food beside them. "Yeah." He admitted.

Outside, the desert wind rustled the torn canopy above their hiding place. Neither of them noticed the distant figure walking along the road leading toward town—a tall man in green, heading away from the palace of the royal family.

Hi! Here's the next chapter!

Luigi laughed along with Azalea and Daisy at the funny ending of the movie.

"This never gets old!" Azalea exclaimed after laughing.

"Haha yeah!" Daisy replied.

They then heard the king and queen entering the living room. Maia looked at them and smiled.

"I see you all are having a good time." She said.

Azalea returned her smile. "Yeah, we are."

Rowan let out a yawn. "Well, your mother and I will be going to our room now to sleep."

Maia nodded. "Yeah. Goodnight, everyone."

"Goodnight!"

Maia and Rowan then left the living room. Daisy glanced up at the clock on the wall. "Whoa. Is it that late already?"

Luigi stretched his arms. "I guess I should head back home now. Mario's probably going to call me any minute now wondering if I'm ok."

As the three stood, Azalea said, "Well, I guess I'll head to my room now too. Bye, Lou!"

Luigi waved at Azalea as she left. Daisy and Luigi left the living room and soon arrived at the front doors of the castle. Daisy then turned to look at him.

"I guess I'll see ya tomorrow, Luigi."

Luigi nodded. He gave Daisy a kiss on her forehead, making them both blush and smile.

"Goodnight, Luigi." Daisy said.

Luigi grinned. "Goodnight, Daisy."

He opened the doors and walked past the two guards stationed outside of the castle. Daisy watched him walk away. As he got closer to a Warp Pipe, she closed the doors and made her way to her room.

Luigi sighed happily as he exited another Warp Pipe. He was now in the Birabuto Kingdom. Just like the other areas of Sarasaland that he saw, no one was outside except for the guards. He yawned and murmured, "I'm really tired…"

He walked down the road that led to one of the towns. The quiet night was peaceful. For about thirty seconds. He heard whispering near the market.

"Huh?"

Growing curious, Luigi hesitantly walked closer.

"…H-Hello? Is anyone there?"

No answer.

Luigi cautiously walked towards an abandoned market stall. When he got closer, he took a peek inside and saw them. Two teens, a boy and a girl who looked like siblings, frozen in place. Their black hair was covered in some dirt and dust. The clothes they wore were a little too big. The girl clutched a cloth sack to her chest.

For a moment, no one spoke. Then, Luigi noticed the bread sticking out of the sack.

"…Oh." Luigi softly said.

The boy tensed up. He quickly blurted out, "We didn't steal anything important!"

The girl looked terrified. "Please don't tell the guards!"

Luigi blinked and, raising his hands, exclaimed, "Whoa, hey—hold on a second. What are you…?" The kids didn't move. Luigi then asked, "Wait. So, you two are the ones sneakin' around the towns here and stealing?"

The two said nothing. That was answer enough.

Sighing, Luigi remarked, "I kinda thought so."

The girl looked like she was about to bolt. She whispered, "They'll throw us in the dungeon."

Luigi's eyes widened. He repeated, "The dungeon?!" He quickly shook his head and said, "Hey, nobody's throwing anyone in a dungeon tonight, ok?"

After a moment of silence, Luigi said with a smile, "Come on out of there. Let's get you guys somewhere warm."

The boy still looked suspicious. He asked Luigi, "Why would you help us?"

Luigi paused for a moment. He then shrugged and answered, "Because you look like you haven't had a proper meal in a while."

The girl tightened her grip on the sack. Luigi smiled again.

"Come with me."

The boy frowned. "Where?"

Luigi pointed back up the path. "The castle."

Both siblings stared at him. The girl repeated, "…The castle?"

Luigi nodded. "Yeah. I'm sure the royal family will allow you guys to rest there for the night." As the kids hesitated, Luigi added, "I promise, you won't end up in the dungeon. Princess Daisy won't allow it."

The kids exchanged a long look. Finally, the girl whispered, "Kayden…"

The boy, Kayden, hesitated, but shivered as he felt a cool breeze. Slowly, the two left their hiding spot.

"By the way, I'm Luigi." Luigi said as he looked at them. "What's your names?"

"I'm Kayden. And this is my sister, Kacey." Kayden replied.

Kacey looked at Luigi. "Hello..."

Smiling, Luigi pulled out his phone. He immediately found Daisy's number and called her. After a second, she answered.

"Hello?"

Luigi said, "Daisy, I'm on my way back to your castle."

"Huh? Is something wrong?" Daisy asked.

"Eh, kinda." Luigi answered. "Can you meet me at the front doors?"

Daisy sat up. "Sure thing."

Luigi and Daisy then said goodbye and hung up. A few minutes later, the three arrived at the castle. Daisy was standing there with the guards. The princess's eyes grew wide when she saw the teens with Luigi. Noticing the nervous looks on their faces, Daisy put on a smile.

"Luigi? Who are these two?" She asked.

Luigi chuckled awkwardly and replied, "Well, I was on my way home when I heard a sound. And… uh." Luigi gestured to the teens. "I think I found your mystery thieves."

The guards and Daisy gasped. Daisy stared at the two teens, who grew more nervous.

One of the guards asked, "What should we do with them, Princess?"

Daisy replied, "Bring them inside. I'll have my servants give them some clean pajamas and rooms to stay in for the night."

Both guards nodded. The kids stared at their princess, shocked and speechless. Daisy smiled and gestured for them to come inside. After a second of hesitation, the two walked up the stairs. When they entered the castle, Kayden and Kacey gasped, admiring the interior. Daisy then looked back at Luigi.

"You can stay in a guest room too if you want, Luigi."

Luigi smiled. "Thanks!"

He walked up to Daisy and they joined the teenagers inside. As they walked down the hall, Luigi pulled out his phone again, this time calling Mario. His brother immediately answered the phone.

"Hey, Weegee! Are you almost here?"

Luigi replied, "No. I'm staying in a guest room here for the night."

"Wha? What's going on, Luigi?" Mario wondered.

Daisy gently took the phone and said, "Don't worry, Mario. Everything's fine." She smiled. "Actually, why don't you and Peach join us for breakfast tomorrow morning? We'll explain everything then."

"Well, alright…" Mario responded.

Daisy handed the phone back to Luigi. The brothers said goodbye and hung up.

Later on, Kacey and Kayden were in their own guest rooms. The servants gave them some pajamas to wear after taking a bath. Kacey smoothed out her pink pajama top as she looked at her reflection.

"Wow… I'm actually in Princess Daisy's castle!" Kacey thought.

After yawning, Kacey got into bed. She smiled a little as she stared at the ceiling.

"I knew we'd get help." She whispered. She then giggled. "It's kinda nice being in a bed again after so long."

Kacey pulled the blanket over herself and fell asleep.

The following morning, Kayden and Kacey were woken up by a servant. The two left their guest rooms and followed the servant to the dining hall.

"I told you someone would help us." Kacey whispered to her brother.

Kayden playfully rolled his eyes, making his sister chuckle. When they got to the dining hall, the siblings gasped. Along with Luigi and the royal family, they saw Mario and Princess Peach.

"M-M-Mario? You're the Mario Brothers!?" Kayden exclaimed.

Chuckling, Mario replied, "Hehe yep! Hello!"

Peach smiled at them and waved.

"Come on and take a seat, you two." Daisy said to them.

Kayden and Kacey nervously walked over and sat by Mario and Luigi. Maia smiled at them.

Kayden looked at the royal family and said, "Thank you for letting us sleep here, Your Majesties. And for giving us these pajamas."

Maia replied, "You're very welcome."

The chefs entered the dining hall and served everyone blueberry pancakes, bacon, and orange juice. Kayden hesitated.

Daisy smiled softly at him. "You two can eat."

Kayden nodded and he and Kacey poured syrup on their pancakes. When they took a bite, Kacey's eye's widened. It was delicious! As everyone ate, Daisy spoke up.

"So, you two were the ones who've been stealing food and clothes for four years."

Kayden blinked in surprise. "How did you—"

Daisy cut him off and gently said, "The reports."

Azalea looked at the two. "You look like you're my age. How old are you guys?"

Kayden swallowed a bite of his bacon and replied, "I'm seventeen and Kacey is sixteen."

Azalea gasped and smiled. "Oh wow! I'm seventeen too!"

Smiling, Kacey replied, "That's so cool!"

Daisy looked at the two teens and said, "So, Kacey, Kayden. Is there a reason why you two have been stealing clothes and food?"

Kacey's smile faltered and she stared at her plate. "We've been on our own."

The others gasped. "Where are your parents?" Peach asked.

Kayden poked at his pancakes with his fork. "They… died four years ago."

Maia frowned. "Oh, you poor things. I'm so sorry."

"Don't you have any other family members to live with?" Rowan asked.

Kacey quietly said, "We have an aunt and uncle in the Muda Kingdom. But… they don't want kids around. I don't think they really liked kids all that much."

Mario frowned. Peach covered her mouth and whispered, "Oh my goodness."

"Kacey and I have been hiding in old market stalls in the Birabuto Kingdom ever since." Kayden explained. "I never thought anyone would help us, but Kacey always had hope."

Kacey nodded. Daisy smiled softly at them.

After everyone finished their breakfast, Daisy told Azalea to take Kacey and Kayden to watch TV while she and the others talked.

Azalea nodded. She turned to face Kacey and Kayden. "Alright, guys. Follow me!"

Once the teenagers were gone, the others made their way to the throne room.

"Those poor kids…" Peach said as they entered.

Daisy let out a sigh. "If only their aunt and uncle took them in…"

"What should we do with them?" Maia wondered.

Rowan replied, "I dunno, hun." He blinked. "Well, we could take them to one of the orphanages in the kingdom."

Luigi stared at the floor and thought about everything. Poor Kacey and Kayden. If he and Mario were in their shoes as teens and struggling, he'd want someone to help them out. Luigi listened as the others talked. Then, he looked up at everyone.

Wait. What if…?

"Hey. What if… what if Mario and I let them stay with us?"

Mario looked at him. "Are you sure, Luigi?"

Luigi nodded. "Yeah. We have those two extra bedrooms in our house. They'd finally have a place to live." He looked Mario in the eye and added, "If it was us at their age, we'd want someone who would help us out."

"That's true." Mario answered.

Peach smiled. "And I could make them some new clothes!"

Daisy grinned and said, "Yeah! And I wanna help them out as much as I can!"

Rowan chuckled. "So it's settled then!"

"This is wonderful!" Maia cheered.

In the living room, Azalea, Kayden, and Kacey were laughing at a joke on the show that they were watching. The adults entered the room and took a seat.

"You guys having a good time?" Daisy asked.

Kacey grinned. "Yes!"

Luigi looked at Kacey and Kayden. "Hey, we were talking and, well, I was thinking… why don't you two come and stay with Mario and I?"

Kayden and Kacey gasped.

Mario then said, "Luigi and I have two extra bedrooms in our house. You guys can take one and decorate them however you'd like!"

Kacey and Kayden exchanged a quick glance. Kayden stared at Luigi and asked, "We… we could live there?"

Smiling, Luigi replied, "If you want to."

Kayden looked at Mario. "You guys are ok with this?"

Mario chuckled. "Yes."

The siblings looked at each other again. They then looked at the others, smiling widely.

Finally, Kayden said, "Yes! Thank you!"

Kacey began to tear up. "Thank you so much!"

Hi! I was too tired to write yesterday, so here's the next chapter!

"Goodbye, everyone!" Mario, Luigi, and Peach said to Daisy and her family.

Daisy and the others waved and said goodbye. Peach smiled and looked at Kayden and Kacey, who were now wearing their cleaned clothes and holding the pajamas that Daisy gave them.

"Come on, you two." She said.

Kayden and Kacey nodded and followed them.

Peach looked at them again. "You're going to love the Mushroom Kingdom! It's very beautiful and everyone there is so kind!"

Smiling, Kayden replied, "I bet it is, Princess."

"I can't believe we're going to be living there." Kacey remarked.

Kacey smiled and looked around Sarasaland. She and Kayden wouldn't be living here anymore. A part of her was a little sad about it. They grew up here and have never left the kingdom. But, she was really excited to see what the Mushroom Kingdom looked like and everyone who lived there.

She followed the others and jumped down a Warp Pipe, arriving in another part of Sarasaland.

Eventually, the group emerged from another Warp Pipe. Kayden and Kacey gasped as they looked around. The grass was a rich, emerald-colored and the trees were massive and filled with fruit. They entered a town and saw many Toads and humans going about their daily lives—working, playing, and shopping.

"Wow… it really is beautiful!" Kacey exclaimed.

Peach giggled. She then said, "Well, I told the others that I'd make you two some clothes, but why don't we go and buy some first? And you can get whatever you'd like to decorate your new rooms with."

Kayden grinned. "Yes! Thank you, Princess!"

The group headed to a mall in Mushroom City. After grabbing what they needed and wanted, everyone made their way to Mario and Luigi's house. Mario unlocked the door and led everyone upstairs. There were four bedrooms up there and a bathroom towards the back. Mario pointed to the first door to his left.

"This room is mine and the one across from it is Luigi's." He pointed to the other two doors. "The other two are now yours!"

Kacey took the room next to Mario's while Kayden took the other one next to Luigi's. Mario, Luigi, and Peach helped the two set everything up. Once they finished, Kacey and Kayden gave the three a smile.

"Thanks." The siblings said.

Mario chuckled. "No problem."

Luigi suggested, "Well, now that we're finished, why don't we give you two a tour of the kingdom?"

"Yes! That'd be great!" Kacey answered.

Kacey and Kayden saw the many different towns, villages, and cities in the Mushroom Kingdom. One of the places they visited was Koopa Village. In the village were Koopa Troopas, a few Bob-Ombs, Lakitus, and a few Dragon Koopas. They then visited a town where more Toads, Shy Guys, and humans were out today. Then, Kacey and Kayden noticed someone.

Across the street, heading towards a shop, was a human man, holding a little girl in his arms. This girl stood out though. Instead of normal human skin, the girl had golden skin. It kinda resembled the Koopas she saw in Sarasaland and the ones in Koopa Village. She also had horns and a tail.

Kacey leaned in and whispered, "That girl looks pretty interesting."

Peach looked over at the girl and smiled. She whispered to the siblings, "Oh! That little girl is a Human/Koopa hybrid."

"Whoa. Seriously?" Kayden asked.

"Mhm!" Peach moved a strand of hair out of her face. "A few live here, but a lot live in a village a little far away from here."

"That's so cool! I don't remember seeing any hybrids in Sarasaland." Kacey said.

"Me neither." Kayden replied. "Although, I think I remember seeing a human woman with a Bombshell Dragon Koopa."

Kacey smiled as she watched the man and little girl walking away from the shop.

After the tour, Peach showed them her castle. She giggled as they entered, seeing Kacey and Kayden's amazed reactions. She led them to the living room and picked up a board game off of a shelf.

"Would you like to play?" She asked.

"Yeah!" The others responded in unison.

Everyone then took a seat. Once Peach finished setting up the game, they started to play.

Everyone hung out with Peach in her castle for the day. Soon, it was getting late and the four said goodbye to Peach. They left the castle and headed home.

"I think tomorrow I'll make spaghetti for dinner." Mario said.

Luigi licked his lips and replied, "Can't wait for it!"

The group entered the house and headed to their rooms. Kacey closed her door and got ready for bed. Once she was finished, she got into bed.

Staring at the ceiling, Kacey muttered, "Kayden and I finally have a new home! I wonder what will happen now."

Soon, Kacey fell asleep.

Hi! I started writing this yesterday, and I finally finished it!

The following day in the Koopa Kingdom, Roy and the rest of the Koopalings decided to visit Neo Bowser City. Wendy suggested that they visit the mall and her brothers agreed. While making their way to the mall, Roy kept his eye out for a potential girlfriend. He saw two girls, a Sea Koopa and a Para Koopa, who were around his age. They were strolling down the sidewalk, holding hands.

The Para Koopa kissed the Sea Koopa's cheek. Roy chuckled to himself.

"Well, neither of them are an option."

He then saw two teenage Dragon Koopas, a boy and a girl, kissing near the mall as they got closer. Roy sighed.

"She's taken too…"

Morton looked over at Roy, noticing his slumped shoulders. "Are you ok, bro?"

Roy straightened up and replied, "Yeah! I'm great! I was just daydreaming."

Morton nodded and the group entered the enormous mall. Wendy immediately went to the makeup store. Larry and Lemmy went to the movie theater in the mall, buying popcorn and sodas. Iggy and Ludwig headed to the second floor and ran into a few of their friends. Their friends decided to take them to an arcade on that floor.

After hearing Morton's stomach growl, he and Roy decided to go to the food court. The twins stood in line and waited for their turn to order. Roy looked around and spotted a few girls sitting together at a table.

"They're hot!" Roy thought to himself.

Roy looked at Morton. "Hey, hold my spot for a sec."

"Why…?" Morton started to question, but then noticed the group of girls. He chuckled. "Of course." Morton shook his head. "Alright."

Roy smiled as he approached the girls. One of them, a girl with teal hair and a teal shell, gasped when she saw him, catching her friends' attention.

"Hey, ladies!" Roy said. "Quick question—any of you free tonight? 'Cause I was thinkin' one of ya might want to hang out with the coolest Koopaling in the ma—"

"I'm sorry, Prince Roy," the teal haired girl smiled apologetically. "but we all have boyfriends."

Roy blinked. "Wow. Whole group?"

The brown haired girl nodded and replied, "Yeah. Sorry, Your Highness. We're very flattered though."

Roy shrugged and answered, "Fair enough. Lucky guys."

He turned around and walked back over to Morton.

Morton snorted. "Nice job, Romeo."

Roy grumbled. "Shut up!"

Smiling, Morton replied, "Don't worry. Maybe you'll meet someone else today."

The twins then ordered their food.

The Koopalings left the mall and Neo Bowser City an hour later. They then headed to Koopa Town. While in town, Roy glanced around at a few teen girls. Unfortunately, those girls were also in relationships. Roy let out a growl, which caught Morton's attention.

"Roy, what's the matter?" Morton asked.

"Nothing…" Roy responded.

Morton frowned. He knew his brother was lying. He wanted to ask more, but he knew Roy would just get angry. So, Morton sighed and followed his siblings.

Later that evening, the Koopa family sat in the dining hall eating pizza for dinner. Everyone discussed their day and other topics that they found interesting.

"Jasmine made a new drawing of me! It turned out beautifully!" Ludwig remarked.

Clawdia smiled. "That's wonderful, Lulu!"

Iggy also smiled and said, "Tia drew a picture of me too!" He giggled and added, "She's improving!"

Roy grumbled and took a bite of his pizza.

Ludwig then declared, "Jasmine and I are going out on a date tomorrow."

"Where are you taking her?" Wendy wondered.

Ludwig took a sip of his soda and replied, "She actually wants to go somewhere in New York."

Larry chuckled. "She moves to the Mushroom World after graduation, and she chooses to go to the real world for a date?"

Iggy let out a gasp. "Oooh! Maybe Tiana and I could go to the real world for a future date!"

Roy slammed his cup of soda onto the table, making a few of his siblings flinch. Bowser looked at him.

"Roy? What's the matter?" He asked.

Roy then retorted, "How come it's so easy for those two to get girlfriends? What am I doing wrong?! All of the girls I saw today were in relationships! I just… ugh, forget it!"

Clawdia looked at him with a gentle smile. "Honey, it won't happen in one day."

Bowser asked, "What kind of girl are you lookin' for, son?"

Roy muttered, "I dunno… Someone who doesn't care about my status for one thing."

"Don't worry, Roy." Ludwig said. "The right girl will come along eventually."

Roy grumbled again and took another bite of his pizza.

That night, the kids got ready for bed. Roy yawned as he entered his room and sat on his bed. He thought back to the conversation at dinner.

"I wonder how soon it'll be before I meet my dream girl." Roy said to himself.

After a few minutes went by, Roy placed his sunglasses on his nightstand and got under his blanket. Soon, he drifted off to sleep.

Roy grumbled as he made his way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Earlier that day, Bowser ordered him to abduct Princess Peach for him. Roy, annoyed, finally reached the Mushroom Kingdom and started heading toward the castle.

Roy grumbled, "Why do I have to kidnap the princess? Why not Ludwig or someone else?"

As the Koopaling walked, he wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone.

"Hey! Watch where you're goin—!" Roy stopped his sentence when he looked up.

On the ground in front of him was a human teenage girl. She had fair skin, long black hair, and blue eyes. She wore a pink shirt, a pink hat with a "K" in the middle, a blue overall dress, white gloves, red and white striped socks, and brown shoes.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" The girl said.

Roy helped the girl up and stared at her.

He asked her, "Who the heck are you?"

"My name's Kacey. Who are you?" She answered.

Roy puffed out his chest and exclaimed, "Roy Koopa. Bowser's third oldest son. Eh, well, I'm the older twin."

"Nice to meet you!" Kacey said. "What are you doing here?"

"Why do ya wanna know?" Roy inquired and began to walk away.

As he walked though, Kacey caught up to him.

Getting irritated, Roy turned to face her and asked, "Whaddaya want?"

Kacey replied, "I wanna hang out with you. You look kinda cool."

Roy sighed. He thought about what he was supposed to do here. Kidnap the princess. He then looked at the human girl in front of him. She stared at him like an innocent child.

Roy smirked at her. "Fine. Whaddaya wanna do?"

"What do you like to do?" Kacey asked.

"Work out and bully people." Roy remarked.

Kacey frowned at the idea of bullying others for fun. She put the smile back on and asked, "Ok! Well, what type of music do you like?"

"Rock." Roy replied.

Kacey grinned. "Cool! I like that too!"

Roy raised an eyebrow and thought to himself, "This chick likes rock music? Really?"

Kacey then said, "There's a concert later today. Wanna go to it?"

Roy shrugged his shoulders. "Sure."

After the concert, the two sat down and chatted for a while.

"I had a great time, Roy!" Kacey said. She then looked up at the sky and frowned. "It's getting late. I have to go." She smiled at him. "Goodbye."

Roy then watched Kacey leave. Once she was out of his sight, he stood up and started heading back to the Koopa Kingdom. He knew that Bowser was furious that he didn't kidnap Peach.

Roy and Kacey saw each other more and more and became friends. One day, while the two were talking, Roy stared at Kacey. Then, he leaned in and kissed her. Kacey blushed and kissed him back. They stopped and stared at each other.

Finally, Roy declared, "I love you, Kacey."

Kacey stared at him. She then said, "Roy… I love you too."

The two were silent for a moment.

Still blushing, Kacey broke the silence and asked him, "So, does this mean we're… dating?"

"I guess so." Roy remarked.

Kacey hugged him and smiled.

Months passed and the two were still together. A few people tried to break them up, but failed. Soon, two years passed and they remained a couple. One day, Roy made it to the Mushroom Kingdom and walked to Kacey's house, holding something behind his back. He then knocked on the door. Kacey opened it a minute later.

"Hi, sweetie!" She greeted him.

"Hey, Kace." Roy replied. "I have to ask ya something."

Kacey tilted her head. "What is it?"

Then, Kacey's cheeks flushed as she watched Roy get down on one knee. Roy showed her the small black box that he was hiding. He opened it, revealing a ring inside.

"Kacey." Roy started.

Kacey smiled. "Yes, Roy?"

"Will… will you—?"

Roy woke up a minute later. He looked around to find himself in his room.

"It… it was all a dream?" He pondered to himself.

Roy sighed. "That girl… Kacey… She ain't real." He let out another sigh. "It was just a dream."

The royal family sat in the dining hall eating their breakfast. Bowser looked around at his kids. When his eyes landed on Roy, he noticed that Roy was quiet and barely eating.

Bowser inquired, "Roy? Is everything ok, son?"

Roy didn't look up. He said, "…I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Bowser replied. "You're never this quiet."

Everyone at the table looked at Roy. He sighed and said, "I'm just thinking about this dream I had. Nothing's wrong."

"What was it about?" Lemmy asked.

Roy let out another sigh. "Some random girl."

Wendy asked, "What did she look like?"

"What was her name?" Larry wondered.

Roy grumbled. "Her name was Kacey and she was… human."

"What did this Kacey girl do in your dream?" Morton questioned.

Roy's cheeks turned pink, which made his family raise an eyebrow. Bowser Jr. said, "Eww. Did she kiss you or something?"

"She was my… girlfriend." Roy quickly responded.

The other Koopalings gasped. Larry then laughed.

"Oh man! She's literally Roy's dream girl!" Larry laughed some more. "Dang. Roy can only get girls in his dreams!"

Roy punched Larry, making the youngest Koopaling cry out in pain.

"It doesn't matter! She ain't real!" Roy exclaimed. He sighed once more and said, "Just forget about it."

Kacey and Kayden met more of Mario and Luigi's friends. One of them being a girl named Jasmine, who was a year older than Kayden. She and Kacey instantly became friends. A week later, Peach, along with Daisy's help, made new clothes for the two siblings. Kayden now wore a new black shirt, jeans, and black shoes.

Kacey donned a pink hat with a "K" in the middle, white gloves, long red and white striped socks, a pink shirt, a blue overall dress, and brown shoes. They loved their new clothes and thanked the princesses.

The following day, Kacey and Kayden were in the house with Mario and Luigi, sitting in the living room. Kacey began to get bored and looked at the brothers.

"Is it alright if I walk around the town?" She asked.

"Sure!" Mario said, making Kacey smile.

Roy left the castle after sitting in his room. His mind was still on the dream a week later and he wanted to distract himself. Unfortunately, he failed and continued thinking about it. While he was walking, he felt someone tapping him on the shoulder.

"Hello." He heard a voice say.

When Roy turned around, he was surprised to see who was behind him.

That's it for now! My nephew and my little brother will be coming over this weekend, so I won't be writing the next chapter until next week.

Ok, I'm back! I was exhausted and overstimulated while babysitting thanks to my little brother lol. Anyways, hope you all enjoy this chapter :D

Roy stared at the human in front of him with wide eyes. It was a human girl. She had the same long black hair and light blue eyes as the girl from his dream. She also wore an identical as the girl. The girl gave him a smile.

"Sh-She can't be real!" Roy thought. "Who the hell is this?!"

The girl then said, "I've never seen you around here before. Not just because you're a Dragon Koopa—I've seen a few of them in Koopa Village."

The girl giggled, making Roy's heart skip a beat.

"Uh, where am I?" Roy asked her.

"The Mushroom Kingdom!" She replied.

Roy looked around. This girl was right. They were currently standing in an area in the kingdom with a few trees and bushes. He didn't realize he wasn't in Darkland anymore while lost in thought. He then looked back at the girl.

"So what's your name? I'm Kacey!"

"She has the same name!?" Roy thought. He cleared his throat and said, "I'm Roy Koopa."

"Nice to meet you!" Kacey remarked. She noticed the Koopa's prolonged gaze at her. "…Are you ok, Roy?"

Roy quickly shook his head, pushing his thoughts away. "It's nothing."

Smiling, Kacey asked him, "Hey! You wanna hang out with me?"

"Sure."

A few hours later, the Bros. and Kayden were still in the living room. Mario looked up at the clock on the wall.

"Where's Kacey?" He wondered. "It's starting to get late."

"I dunno." Luigi replied.

Mario stood up. "We should go find her."

Luigi and Kayden nodded and also stood up.

"Maybe she's somewhere nearby." Kayden said as they walked outside.

"This is so weird…" Roy thought to himself as he listened to Kacey talk about the type of music that she liked as they sat by a tree. One of them being rock music.

He was also surprised to not see any Toads outside who would've screamed and found the Mario Bros. Roy stared at Kacey, still in shock and confusion.

Kacey smiled at him. "You look pretty cool, Roy."

Roy smirked and flexed his muscles. "Yup. Cool and tough!" He then thought about something. "Hey. Where are you from anyways?"

"Well, I'm actually—"

Before Kacey could finish, she was cut off by a voice she's heard all her life.

"Kacey!"

Kacey and Roy turned around to see Kayden, Mario, and Luigi running up to them. Roy and Kacey stood up.

"Oh guys! I'm sorry! I didn't realize it was getting late!" Kacey apologized.

Mario and Luigi then noticed the Koopaling standing next to her. They both glared at him.

Mario, still glaring at Roy, asked, "What are you doing here?"

Luigi gently pulled Kacey closer to them. "Did he hurt you?"

"What? No." Kacey said, now puzzled.

"You know these guys?" Roy asked her.

"Yes. My brother and I are actually—"

"Let's go." Luigi said, cutting Kacey off.

They begin to walk away, Luigi still holding onto Kacey. Kacey looked back at Roy. He sighed and started heading back to the Koopa Kingdom.

Once they were back in the living room, Kayden asked, "Who was that guy?"

Mario explained, "That was Roy Koopa. One of the Koopalings."

"Koopalings?" The siblings repeated.

"They're Bowser's kids." Luigi answered. "They, along with their little brother, Bowser Jr., always help Bowser kidnap Peach and love causing trouble."

Kayden gasped. "Wait! I think I remeber hearing about them!"

"But… he seemed so nice." Kacey said.

"He's not. He's evil." Luigi responded.

Mario looked at Kayden and Kacey. "You both should stay away from him. All of them, actually."

Kayden nodded. "Alright."

Kacey sat quietly for a moment. She then sighed. "Alright."

Kacey sat in her room, staring at the ceiling. She thought about Roy and what Mario and Luigi told her about him and his family.

"Roy didn't seem evil." Kacey whispered to herself. "Is he really as bad as they say?"

Kacey looked out of the window and noticed that it was getting darker outside. She changed into her nightgown and got into bed. After a few minutes went by, Kacey slowly fell asleep.

Roy entered the castle, his mind spinning. He sighed as he thought about what happened. Kacey was real. The girl from his dream was actually real! This… this was insane! And she knew his enemies?

Oh man. This was a lot to take in.

Roy eventually found his family in the living room, talking to each other. They watched as Roy walked inside and sat down, not saying a single word.

"Where have you been?" Bowser asked him.

After a second, Roy replied, "…The Mushroom Kingdom."

"The Mushroom Kingdom?" Clawdia repeated.

"Were you trying to kidnap the princess for me?" Bowser asked, a huge grin on his face.

Roy shook his head. He stared at the floor. "…She's real."

"What? Of course Peach is real." said Morton.

Roy looked up. "Not the princess, you idiot!" He exclaimed. Roy then sighed. "Kacey. The girl from my dream before."

Everyone stared at him. Bowser then asked, "Are you sure it was her?"

"Right." Larry stated. "It could've been someone who looks like her."

Once again, Roy shook his head. "No! It was her! She has the same name, face, voice… everything!"

Iggy adjusted his glasses. "Huh. That is pretty interesting. Dreaming about someone and meeting them in real life."

Lemmy grinned. "It's more than interesting! It's amazing!" Lemmy looked over at Iggy. "You should do more research on dreams, Iggy!"

Iggy chuckled. "Well, I still haven't gotten around to making a dream projector."

Larry squirmed. "Eh, I dunno if I'd want anyone looking at my dreams. My dreams can be weird sometimes."

Sighing, Roy stood up and walked towards the entrance of the living room.

"Where are you going, honey?" asked Clawdia.

Roy turned his head to look at his mother. "To my room."

After that, Roy left the living room. Bowser slowly smiled to himself as an idea popped into his head.

A couple of weeks went by since Kacey met Roy. Today, Kacey was sitting outside of Jasmine's house talking to her. Kayden was in Sarasaland with Daisy and Azalea, while Mario, Luigi, and Peach were in the Beanbean Kingdom. Kacey was asked if she wanted to go with either of them, but she declined and told the others that she wanted to hang out with Jasmine for a bit.

Jasmine smiled at Kacey. "Do you like it here in the Mushroom Kingdom, Kacey?" She asked her.

Grinning, Kacey replied, "Yeah! The Mushroom Kingdom is a really nice place!"

Kacey's mind returned to Roy.

"Hey, Jasmine? Can I ask you something?" Kacey asked.

Jasmine smiled again and replied, "Sure. What is it?"

"Um… You know about the Koopalings, right?"

Jasmine nodded. She leaned in and whispered, "Of course! I'm actually friends with them. And, don't tell anyone else, but… I'm dating one of them!"

Kacey gasped. "Seriously?"

Jasmine pulled out her phone and went to her photos. She clicked on one and showed Kacey. Kacey looked at the photo. Next to Jasmine was a male Koopa with wild blue hair, a single sharp tooth, and a blue shell with orange rings encircling his spikes.

"His name is Ludwig." Jasmine remarked as she put her phone away. "Mario and the others don't know about us though. I haven't told them yet."

"You haven't?" Kacey asked.

Jasmine shook her head. "I'm not ready for them to know yet."

A moment later, Kacey asked Jasmine, "Um… What's Roy like? I actually met him a few weeks ago."

"Oh, Roy's pretty cool." Jasmine replied. "He does bully his siblings and Iggy's girlfriend though."

Kacey gasped. "He does? But, he didn't seem like a bully before."

Jasmine looked around. Once she was sure no one was nearby to listen, she whispered to Kacey again. "I was actually thinking about going to Bowser's castle today."

Kacey let out a sigh. "I wish I could go and meet Roy's siblings. Mario and Luigi won't let me though."

Jasmine replied, "You can come with me if you want."

"Really?" Kacey asked. "But what about Mar—"

"The Bros. and Peach are in the Beanbean Kingdom and your brother's in Sarasaland with Daisy and Azalea." Jasmine said, cutting Kacey off. "They won't know. Plus, I've gone two years without getting caught sneaking over there."

"Are you sure?" Kacey wondered.

"Yep!" Jasmine responded. "And if anything happens, I'll help you."

Kacey slowly smiled. Maybe this could work. Plus, she's used to sneaking around a town. Sneaking out of a kingdom would be different, but maybe Kacey could do it?

"Thanks." Kacey finally responded. "So when are yo—"

Kacey was interrupted again. This time, by a loud crash. The girls looked up to see Bowser in his Clown Car, approaching them.

"What is he doing here?!" Jasmine exclaimed.

At last, Bowser reached them.

"Bowser! Peach isn't here!" Jasmine yelled.

The Koopa King laughed. "I'm not here for Peach!" He pointed at Kacey. "I'm here for her!"

"Me?!" Kacey asked.

Kacey began to back away from the large Dragon Koopa. But, Bowser grabbed her before she could get far. He placed her inside of the Clown Car. As he flew away with her, Kacey screamed.

"Jasmine! Help!"

"Don't worry, Kacey! I'm coming!" Jasmine screamed back.

A Toad ran over to Jasmine. "Jasmine! Should we get the Mario Bros.?"

Jasmine spun around to face the Toad. "No! Don't tell them anything! I'll handle this!"

Jasmine then ran in Bowser's and Kacey's direction.

Bowser made it back to his castle. He grabbed Kacey, got out of his Clown Car, and walked inside. Kacey glanced around, seeing a few Koopa Troopas cleaning. Bowser made it to the dungeon and unlocked a cell door. He placed Kacey inside and locked the door.

"W-Why did you kidnap me?!" Kacey asked him.

Bowser smirked and answered, "For my son."

After that, Bowser left the dungeon, leaving Kacey by herself. Kacey sat on the floor in the cell and began to cry.

"Maybe I should've believed Mario and Luigi."

Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings were hanging out in the game room. Larry looked through their games and put in Smash Bros. As he prepared to play, Bowser entered the room, a huge grin on his face.

Wendy smiled at him. "Hi, Daddy! What are you so happy about?"

Bowser chuckled and replied, "Roy, she's here!"

Roy looked up. "Who?"

"Kacey! I kidnapped her! You're welcome!" Bowser remarked.

The kids gasped as Bowser walked away.

"He really kidnapped her?" Lemmy asked.

Ludwig sighed. "I should've known he'd do that."

Roy exclaimed as he stood up, "I ain't want her to get kidnapped!"

Wendy stood up also.

"Aw, man. I gotta head to the dungeon." said Roy.

"I'll go with you." Wendy replied.

The two then left the game room.

Kacey sat in the cell and stared at the floor. She continued to think about what happened. Bowser, the king of the Koopas, kidnapped her and locked her in his dungeon. And he did it for his son. Did… Did Roy ask Bowser to kidnap her? Was that the reason?

Kacey shook her head. No, that wasn't it. Roy didn't do that. At least… she hoped he didn't. Mario and Luigi did tell her that Roy and his family were evil. But still… he didn't seem so bad when they last saw each other.

She jolted out of her thoughts and looked up when she heard the door to the dungeon opening. Then, Kacey heard footsteps getting closer. She gasped when she saw Roy on the other side, approaching her cell. And next to him was a female Koopa wearing a pink bow with white polka dots.

"R-Roy! And… I'm sorry. Who are you?" Kacey remarked.

The girl smiled. "Wendy, his little sister." She answered.

Roy walked closer and grabbed the keys. He looked at Kacey. "Eh, sorry about my Dad. I didn't think he'd kidnap ya after I mentioned you to him."

"So, it wasn't Roy's idea! I knew it!" Kacey thought.

Roy unlocked the cell and Kacey slowly got to her feet. She hesitated before walking out of the cell.

Wendy gave Kacey a smile. "Come with us."

Kacey followed the two Koopalings out of the dungeon. "Where are we going?"

"To the game room with the others!" Wendy replied. She looked at Kacey and added, "You're very pretty!"

Kacey's cheeks grew warm. "Thanks."

As they walked down the corridor, Kacey glanced at the paintings on the walls.

"Wow. Bowser must like getting his picture taken." She thought.

She then noticed paintings of past rulers of the Koopa Kingdom. They all looked very interesting!

The three eventually made it to a door. Wendy opened it and they walked inside. Kacey softly gasped when she saw more Dragon Koopas in the room. Some were playing games while others were watching TV. They all looked up after hearing her gasp.

The dark skinned one asked, "Is that her?"

A smaller, rainbow haired one grinned. "Wow!"

Kacey glanced at Roy and Wendy. "Are they your siblings?"

"Yep!" Wendy said. She walked over to the others and gestured to each one. "This is Bowser Jr., Lemmy, Larry, Iggy, Morton, and Ludwig!"

Junior and the other Koopalings said hello or hi to Kacey.

"Hi!" Kacey said. She looked around at everyone. "Wow! You all look so colorful and unique! Y'know, I've never really seen Dragon Koopas before until recently."

"Really?" Morton asked.

Kacey nodded. "I've seen Bombshell Dragon Koopas along with normal Bombshell Koopas while living in Sarasaland, but I haven't seen any other type of Koopa before."

Lemmy grinned. "Wait 'till you see the other Koopa races!"

Iggy sighed and muttered, "If only it was all of them…"

Kacey tilted her head, wondering what he meant by that. Before she could ask Iggy, Roy spoke up.

"Wait. Sarasaland? What the heck were ya doin' in the Mushroom Kingdom? And how do ya know those plumbers?"

"Oh, they're letting my brother and I live with them." Kacey replied.

"You don't have your own home?" Lemmy asked.

Kacey scratched the back of her head. "Eh, it's a long story."

Kacey told the Koopa children everything that happened. Her parents dying, her aunt and uncle not liking kids, she and her brother breaking into homes to steal food. Once she was finished, Kacey saw most of the kids looking at her sympathetically. Lemmy ran towards her and hugged Kacey tightly.

"I'm so sorry you and Kayden had to survive on your own for so long." He said to her.

Kacey smiled softly and hugged him back.

Jasmine finally arrived in the Koopa Kingdom and rushed inside of Bowser's castle. She prepared to head to the dungeon, until she heard voices up ahead. Curious, she ran down the hall until she stood in front of the game room. She walked inside to see Kacey and the Koopa children laughing and talking together. Kacey looked toward the entrance and smiled when she saw Jasmine.

"Hi, Jazzy!" Kacey said. "You made it."

Jasmine caught her breath and replied, "Yeah."

Jasmine went over to Ludwig and planted a kiss on his cheek, making the oldest Koopaling blush. She then glanced at the clock on the wall and gasped.

She looked at Kacey and said, "The others will be back in an hour, Kacey. We should head back."

Bowser Jr. frowned. "Aw, c'mon, Jazzy! Can't you guys stay and play games for a bit?"

Jasmine nervously bit her lip as she glanced at the clock again. She then said, "Well… I guess we could."

Kacey and Jasmine smiled as Junior cheered.

The group played a few board games together and had a great time. Bowser Jr. and a few of the Koopalings got annoyed at Larry for winning, making the youngest Koopaling smirk. Thirty minutes went by and Kacey frowned when Jasmine looked away from the clock again.

"We have to head back now, Kacey."

Kacey looked at the Koopas. "It was wonderful to meet you guys. And it was great seeing you again, Roy!"

Roy blushed and quickly looked away. Kacey gave him a smile before following Jasmine out of the game room.

Jasmine and Kacey returned to the Mushroom Kingdom before Mario and the others, which both girls were grateful for.

"That was close." Jasmine remarked after sighing. "I should've punched that stupid Koopa for coming here…"

Mario, Luigi, and Peach returned a few minutes later and found the girls sitting by Jasmine's house.

"Hey, girls! How was your day?" Luigi asked when they got closer.

"It was… interesting." Kacey responded.

A Toad saw the Bros. and rushed over to them. "Mario! Luigi! Bows—"

Jasmine covered the Toad's mouth before he could finish. "Yeah. It was interesting."

Kayden returned an hour later and was now playing a game with Mario and Luigi in their house. Kacey sat nearby and watched them. She then began to think about Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings.

"They didn't seem so bad."

She wanted to go back to the Koopa Kingdom. She wanted to see the Koopalings and Junior again.

"Mario and Luigi won't let me go. And I'm not sure when Jasmine will go back there again. All of them seem pretty cool. Especially Roy."

Kacey sighed and continued to watch the guys play their game.

"I need to see him again."

A week went by since Bowser kidnapped Kacey. She woke up early in the morning, the bright sunlight in her face. She covered her eyes for a moment as she sat up. Once her eyes adjusted to the sunlight, Kacey got out of bed and went to the bathroom. She heard her brother and friends snoring in their rooms and chuckled softly. She grabbed her toothbrush and some toothpaste and began to brush her teeth.

"I wonder if Roy and the others are up this early." Kacey thought.

After washing her face, Kacey left the bathroom and made her way to the kitchen. Last night, she decided to make breakfast for everyone today. She grabbed everything that she needed and began to make pancakes.

A few minutes later, the guys woke up to the aroma of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. They left their rooms and headed for the kitchen. When they got there, they saw Kacey humming as she cooked.

Luigi smiled. "You didn't have to cook, Kacey. I would've done it."

Kacey giggled and replied, "I don't mind. I haven't cooked in so long, I really missed it."

Soon, Kacey finished cooking and handed everyone a plate. They all sat at the table and ate. As she took a bite of her pancakes, Kacey began to think.

"I really want to go back there. Roy and the others really didn't seem so bad."

After breakfast, the group went over to Peach's castle because the princess wanted them to come over for the day. They were currently sitting in the living room talking. As the others talked though, Kacey continued to think about the Koopalings and Bowser Jr.

"I really want to see them again. Oh, I wish I could right now. I wonder what they're up to."

"Kacey? Are you ok?" She heard Peach ask.

Kacey looked up and saw the others looking at her. She shook her head and smiled.

"I'm fine." She replied.

"Are you sure?" asked Kayden.

Kacey nodded. "Yeah."

In the Koopa Kingdom, the Koopa family were sitting in the living room relaxing. Then, Lemmy spoke up.

"I can't believe that we actually met Kacey!"

"Yeah!" Larry said. "She's kinda interesting!"

Clawdia smiled. "That's so nice! I kinda wish I had gotten to meet her."

Smiling, Wendy replied, "You should! Maybe Roy can kidnap her soon."

"I ain't kidnapping her!" Roy grumbled.

Larry blinked. "What? Why not?"

Roy looked at his younger brother. "I didn't want her to get kidnapped the first time!"

Bowser scowled. "Hey! I thought you'd like to see her!"

"I did, but… ugh nevermind." Roy grumbled again.

Wendy then let out a gasp. "Aww, Roy!" When her older brother raised an eyebrow at her, Wendy said, "You're still in love with her!"

Roy's eyes got bigger. "WHAT!? I am not!"

Wendy giggled. "Oh, yes you are! Why else would you be acting this way?"

"Wendy's right." said Iggy. "I mean, you did say that she was your girlfriend in your dream."

"Yeah, in my dream!" Roy exclaimed. "This ain't a dream!"

Morton sat up and looked at his older twin. "Do you… have feelings for Kacey? Y'know, even after that dream?"

"I uh…" Roy began to think it over. The dream DID feel real at the time, and he did have strong feelings for Kacey.

Ludwig smirked slightly. "We'll take that as a yes."

"Shut up!" Roy shouted at Ludwig.

Ludwig giggled softly, making Roy grumble once again.

Clawdia smiled and said, "I think it's very sweet. Maybe she's the one for you! Just don't rush into it, sweetie."

Roy sighed and pouted.

An hour later in the Mushroom Kingdom, Toadsworth led Jasmine to the others when she arrived at the castle.

"Hey, guys!" Jasmine greeted them as she entered the room. "I would've been here sooner, but I had to go to Brooklyn to help my grandparents clean."

Smiling, Peach replied, "That's alright, Jasmine."

"Hey! Why don't we all watch a movie?" Daisy suggested.

The others agreed with her. After scrolling through the movies, Peach eventually found a comedy movie and hit play. As the first four minutes played, Kacey got lost in her thoughts again.

"Wait. Jasmine knows how to get to the Koopa Kingdom."

Kacey glanced at Jasmine for a second and went back to watching the movie.

Hours went by and it was getting late. Daisy stretched her arms and remarked, "Well, I guess I should head back to Sarasaland."

Peach smiled. "I had fun with you all!"

As the group headed outside, Kacey said, "Actually, guys. Is it ok if I sleep over at Jasmine's?" She looked over at her friend. "If you don't mind, I mean."

Jasmine grinned and replied, "Of course not! It'll be fun!"

Kayden chuckled. "Well, you gotta get your pajamas first."

Once Kacey had her things, she and Jasmine headed to Jasmine's house. When they were inside, Kacey let out a sigh as Jasmine shut and locked the door.

Jasmine sat down on the couch. "So, what do you want to do first?"

Kacey nervously walked over and played with a strand of her black hair. "Actually, I… I have a question for you." Jasmine nodded her head, letting Kacey know that she could continue. Kacey let out a breath. "I know you're going to be a little busy tomorrow, and since you know how to get to the Koopa Kingdom, I was wondering if you could… tell me how to get there?"

Jasmine asked, "Oh, you really want to go back?"

Kacey nodded and replied, "Yeah. I know Bowser kidnapped me, but I got to hang out with Junior and the Koopalings and they all were wonderful!"

Jasmine thought for a moment. She then said, "Well, I guess so. But, how are you going to sneak over there?"

After thinking it over a minute later, Kacey smiled. "I do have to help Kayden and the Bros. clean tomorrow, but I'll figure out a way to leave the kingdom."

"Well, ok." Jasmine answered.

After that, Jasmine gave Kacey the directions.

After eating breakfast the next day, Jasmine and Kacey left Jasmine's house.

"Are you sure you won't get caught?" Jasmine whispered to Kacey.

Kacey nodded and replied, "Kayden and I have broken into homes to steal food." She chuckled. "I'm sure I can slip out of the Mushroom Kingdom and return, even if it's daytime."

Jasmine laughed. "Alright. I'll see you later."

Kacey waved as Jasmine walked away. Once she arrived at her house (it still seemed weird to say that), Kacey unlocked the door and walked inside. Luigi was washing the dishes, Mario dried them off, and Kayden put them away. Kacey entered the kitchen.

"Hey, guys!" She greeted.

Kayden smiled and looked over at her. "Hey! How was your sleepover?"

"It was great!" Kacey replied. "Jasmine and I had a lot of fun!"

Luigi turned his head to look at Kacey. "That's nice!"

Once the dishes were cleaned and put away, Mario said, "Well, now that you're back, let's start cleaning!"

A couple hours went by and the four finished cleaning the entire house. They sat in the living room and watched TV, while eating their lunch. After finishing her sandwich, Kacey looked at the guys.

"Hey, guys. I'm going to take a walk around the kingdom for a bit."

"Ok." Mario and Kayden replied.

"Be careful." said Luigi.

"I will!" Kacey responded as she stood up.

Kacey then walked out of the house.

"Ok. So far, no one is near to see me." Kacey whispered.

She looked around again, making sure no Toads, humans, or other species were nearby.

"Alright. Here I go."

Kacey then walked out of Toad Town. She did her best to hide behind trees and buildings as she snuck out of the Mushroom Kingdom.

In Bowser's castle, Roy was in the castle gym, finishing up his workout. He put the dumbbells down with a grunt and made his way out of the gym. When he turned down a hallway, a Koopa Troopa approached him.

"Prince Roy! Perfect timing!" The Troopa said. "There's a girl outside who wants to see you and your siblings."

Roy raised an eyebrow. "A girl? Who?"

The Koopa replied, "A human girl. She says her name is Kacey."

A flicker of surprise crossed Roy's eyes. "Well, let her in!"

The Koopa Troopa nodded and rushed out of the hallway. Roy's heart pounded in his chest. Kacey was here?

A moment later, the Koopa returned with Kacey behind him. Kacey smiled (which made Roy's heart flutter).

"Hi, Roy!" said Kacey.

"H-Hey, Kacey. What are ya doing here?"

The Koopa Troopa quietly walked away as Kacey moved closer to Roy. "I wanted to see you guys again."

Roy arched an eyebrow again. "I thought those plumbers didn't want ya around us." He shrugged his shoulders. "I mean, the way they were acting last time made it seem like it."

Kacey remarked, "They don't, but, I really wanted to see you guys. Especially you!"

"…Me?" asked Roy.

"Yeah!" Kacey responded. "I think you're really cool and the others aren't as bad as Mario and Luigi say." She smiled and added, "Plus, I was hoping you and I could be friends."

Roy felt a pang at that last word, but he put on a smirk. "You sure ya wanna be friends with a Koopa like me?"

"Of course! You're not so bad." Kacey said.

Roy chuckled. "Alright."

Kacey then sniffed the air and scrunched up her nose (which Roy found adorable). "Uh, I take it that you just finished exercising?"

Roy's eyes widened as the realization hit—he hadn't taken his shower yet.

Roy's face reddened and he replied, "Shit. You made it right after I finished."

Kacey giggled (making Roy blush more) and said, "You must work hard. Your muscles are very impressive."

Roy smirked again. "Thanks!"

Roy led Kacey to the game room, where the rest of his siblings were playing a card game.

"Hey, everyone!" Kacey greeted.

The others looked up to see Roy and Kacey in the doorway. Wendy smiled and approached them. "Hi, Kacey!" Wendy sniffed and covered her nose. "Yuck! Roy, is that you?"

Roy rolled his eyes. "I'm going to take a shower now!"

He then left the game room. Wendy smiled at Kacey and asked her, "So what are you doing here, Kacey?"

Kacey replied, "I wanted to hang out with you guys again."

Bowser Jr. grinned. "Alright! Let's play a new game since you're here!"

"Ok!" Kacey said and sat down with everyone.

A few minutes later, Roy returned to the game room, feeling and smelling fresh and clean. He sat down on the couch next to Kacey, who was playing a board game with the others. Kacey rolled the dice and moved her game piece two spots forward. Larry rolled the dice next and placed his game piece on the finish line.

"Yes!" Larry cheered, making his siblings roll their eyes at him.

Wendy asked, "You just had to cheat, didn't you?"

Larry smiled innocently at her. "I don't know what you're talking about, Wendy."

Wendy scoffed and rolled her eyes. Then, Morton's stomach growled loudly, making the dark skinned Koopaling blush.

Lemmy giggled. "I guess it is lunch time."

Morton chuckled and replied, "Yeah. We should ask the chefs to make us something."

Kacey spoke up and said, "Well, uh, I could always make something for you guys."

"Really?" asked Larry.

Kacey nodded. "Uh huh! What's something you guys want to eat?"

"Steak!" Roy replied.

"Hm. Steak does sound good." Ludwig responded.

Everyone left the game room and led Kacey to the kitchen. A few Koopas were inside washing the dishes.

Roy stepped forward and said, "Hey!" He gestured to the human girl next to him. "This is Kacey, and she's gonna make us some steak! Help her with anything she needs!"

A Koopa Paratroopa said, "Of course, Your Highness!"

After the servants helped Kacey gather everything that she needed, she got right to cooking. Junior and the Koopalings headed to the dining hall and took their seats.

"I bet the steak is going to be delicious!" Junior said.

Morton replied, "Yeah! I can't wait!"

Soon, Kacey and several other Koopa Troopas entered the dining hall and placed plates of steak in front of the royal Koopas. Kacey sat in between Morton and Roy and smiled at everyone.

"I hope you all enjoy it!" She said.

Ludwig was the first to take a bite of the steak. After swallowing the bite of steak, his eyes widened slightly. "Wow! It's pretty good."

Morton swallowed his bite and remarked, "Pretty good? It's amazing!"

The others agreed with him, making Kacey blush.

After swallowing a bite of his steak, Roy thought, "Whoa. She's good at cooking." He took another bite, this one bigger than the last one. "I should have her cook for me more often."

After the Koopa children finished eating their lunch, Roy offered to give Kacey a tour of the castle while the others either went to their rooms or back to the game room. He showed her the guest rooms, the ballroom, the gym, and even Ludwig's and Iggy's lab. Once the tour was over, Roy decided to show Kacey his room and talk to her in there. When he opened the door, Kacey walked inside and looked around. She saw pink walls with posters on them, magazines on his dresser, and a few dumbbells in the corner of the room.

"Wow! Cool!" Kacey exclaimed. She then noticed a cage near his bed when she looked down. She pointed at it and asked Roy, "What's that?"

Roy replied, "That's Pookie, our pet rabbit."

Kacey gasped and exclaimed, "You have a pet rabbit? I love rabbits!"

Roy responded, "Yeah. He ran away before, but we made some of the minions go out and search for him."

"Can I hold him?" Kacey asked.

Roy nodded. Smiling, Kacey walked closer and knelt down in front of the cage. She pulled it closer to get a better look. The white rabbit looked at her and backed away, shaking. Kacey smiled sweetly as she opened the cage.

"Don't be afraid. It's alright. I'm not going to hurt you." Kacey said reassuringly, trying to soothe him.

Pookie finally calmed down and let Kacey pick him up and hold him.

Kacey then said, "Aw. I wonder why you're so afraid."

"Eh. Probably 'cause I beat him up sometimes." Roy answered.

Kacey gasped, her eyes widening. She held Pookie close and exclaimed, "What?! No wonder he ran away!" Kacey hugged Pookie. "Don't worry, Pookie. I won't let the big mean Koopa hurt you again."

Kacey smiled playfully, making Roy smirk.

Later on, Kacey left the Koopa Kingdom and returned to the house. Luigi and Kayden were sitting in the living room while Mario was in the kitchen making pasta.

"Hey!" Luigi said. "How was your day, Kacey?"

Kacey smiled and sat with them. "It was great!"

A few minutes later, the three sat with Mario in the kitchen and ate their dinner.

As she ate, Kacey thought to herself, "Maybe I can visit the Koopas again tomorrow."

That night, Kacey was getting ready for bed. She was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. Once she was finished, she walked out of the bathroom and started making her way to her room. She paused at her door though, when she heard Mario and Luigi talking downstairs.

"I think we should buy them tomorrow." She heard Mario say.

Luigi replied, "Yeah. I can't believe we didn't do it before."

"What are they talking about?" Kacey wondered.

She shrugged her shoulders and went inside of her room to sleep.

The next day, Kacey and Kayden sat in the living room while Mario and Luigi were out. As Kayden turned on the TV, he said, "I wonder what Luigi and Mario are doing."

Kacey nodded and replied, "I heard them talking last night about buying something. I'm not sure what it is."

Ten minutes later, Mario and Luigi entered the house, each carrying a small bag.

"We're back!" Mario exclaimed.

Luigi then said, "And we got something for you guys!"

"Huh? Something for us?" Kayden asked.

Mario nodded. He and Luigi handed the siblings the bags. Kayden and Kacey gasped after they pulled out the items. They were brand new phones!

Kacey looked up at the brothers. "You're giving us phones?"

Mario chuckled. "Yep!"

Luigi added, "We thought you guys could use them. Y'know, to talk to us and your new friends here."

Kacey and Kayden smiled and thanked them. Mario and Luigi sat with them and helped set up their new phones.

A few minutes later, Kacey told the guys that she was going to walk around the kingdom again. After making sure that no one saw her, Kacey snuck out and made her way to the Koopa Kingdom.

She soon arrives in the Koopa Kingdom and smiles as she looks around. The shops and buildings looked amazing! And all of the Koopas looked unique! Maybe her new friends could give her a tour one day.

Kacey arrived at the castle and was let inside. She walked down the hall towards the game room. Then, Kacey froze when she heard a voice say, "Roy, stop!"

"Huh? That sounded like Lemmy." She whispered.

Kacey quickly made her way to the game room. When she got there, she gasped as she saw Roy punching Lemmy and Iggy.

"Roy!" Kacey called out as she rushed over. She grabbed his arm, stopping him. She cried out, "Roy, what are you doing?!"

Roy retorted, "What does it look like? I'm beatin' them up!"

Kacey let go of Roy's arm. "But why? Did they do anything to you first?"

"No…" said Lemmy.

"We didn't…" Iggy continued.

Kacey sighed and looked at Roy. "Jasmine did tell me that you bully them."

"She did?" He asked.

Kacey nodded. "Why do you bully them?"

"'Cause it's fun!" Roy answered.

Kacey pouted, which made Roy's heart skip a beat. Everyone then heard the door to the game room opening. Kacey turned her head to see a Koopa girl with black hair pulled back in a ponytail and purple glasses walking inside.

The girl smiled. "Hi, guys!"

"Hi, Tia." Lemmy groaned.

She gasped when she saw Lemmy and Iggy in pain. The girl rushed over to Iggy and asked, "Are you ok, sweetie?!"

Iggy gave her a smile. "I'll be fine, Tiana. Don't worry."

Kacey smiled and said, "Oh! So, you must be Iggy's girlfriend. Jasmine told me about you before!"

Tiana let go of Iggy and nodded. "H-Hi. I'm Tiana." She said shyly.

"I'm Kacey. It's nice to meet you." Kacey replied.

Tiana blinked and looked at Iggy. "Oh, this is the Kacey girl you told me about?"

"Yep!" Iggy said.

Kacey gasped, realizing something. "Wait. You're Iggy's girlfriend."

Iggy grinned. "Yep." He gave Tiana a kiss on the cheek, making her blush and giggle.

"So, Roy bullies you?" asked Kacey.

Tiana frowned. "Yeah." She rubbed her arm. "He mostly calls me fat and shoves me down or out of the way."

Kacey looked at Roy with wide eyes. She placed her hands on her hips and said, "Roy Koopa! That's just… horrible!"

Roy scoffed.

"Hmph! Well then, I guess I won't be making any more steak for you!" Kacey remarked.

Roy's eyes grew wide in shock. "W-What?"

"Yup!" Kacey said. "I saw that you liked my steak last time. So, no steak, chicken, ribs, not even cookies! I won't cook for you anymore if you continue to bully Tiana and your siblings. Pookie too!"

Tiana chuckled softly at the surprised expression on Roy's face.

Roy walked closer to Kacey and yelled, "H-Hey! You can't be serious!"

Kacey replied, "I'm very serious, Roy."

Roy growled. Through clenched teeth, he said, "I'll… try."

A few of his siblings laughed, making Roy glare at them.

Kacey smiled. "Good!" She then gasped. "Oh! Guess what! Mario and Luigi gave my brother and I phones!"

Wendy's eyes glittered. "Really?"

Kacey nodded and pulled out her brand new phone.

Wendy replied, "Wow! Can we get your number?"

"Of course!"

After that, Kacey got all of their numbers. She smiled as she scrolled through her contacts.

Iggy then asked, "Uh, are those guys going to be alright with you talking to us?"

"Well… probably not." Kacey answered. "But, they don't have to know. You guys are really cool!"

Lemmy grinned. "Thanks!"

Kacey smiled at him. She then blinked. "Although… I should give you guys different names on my phone. Just in case."

Kacey quickly typed in different names for each Koopaling.

Later on, Jasmine arrived at the castle. After she got there, they all watched movies and played video games together. Right now, they were watching a movie. As the movie played, Jasmine leaned over and whispered to Kacey.

"No one noticed you leaving, right?"

Kacey shook her head. "Nope."

"Ok." Jasmine replied. "Just make sure that no one sees you whenever you leave the Mushroom Kingdom."

"Don't worry. I'll be careful." Kacey responded.

The Mario Bros., Kacey, and Kayden were waiting outside of Peach's castle a week later. Yesterday, Peach told Mario and Luigi that she wanted to show Kacey and Kayden another place.

"I wonder where Peach wants to take us." said Kacey.

Smiling, Mario replied, "Somewhere amazing!"

So, Mario and Luigi knew where they're going?

Kacey glanced at the ground. "Hm. Somewhere amazing…"

Just then, Peach walked out of the castle and smiled at everyone.

"Hello!" She greeted.

"Hi, Peach!" Kacey replied. "So, what place are we going to?"

Peach giggled. "You'll see!"

The group walked away from the castle and out of the Mushroom Kingdom. They turned left and entered Grass Land. Kacey saw a few Toads near the shops in the world. After walking past a tree, Mario stood in front of… a cannon?

"Wait," Kayden took a step closer to Mario. "is this a Warp Cannon?"

Mario nodded. "Yep! We're going to use this to get to the place faster instead of using the Princess's blimp."

Kacey's eyes grew a little wide. "Whoa! Jasmine and I gotta use this the next time we go to Bowser's castle!"

Kacey then thought of something. "Hold on. There isn't a Warp Cannon in the Mushroom Kingdom?"

Luigi replied, "Well, there was one. But it got destroyed during one of Bowser's invasions."

Peach sighed. "I should really get that fixed soon…"

She stood next to Mario and pressed a few buttons on the Warp Cannon. Once she was finished, Peach jumped inside. One by one, they jumped inside and were shot into the air. Kacey grinned as she looked at the world below them.

"Wow! This is incredible!" Kacey cried out.

Eventually, they landed back on the ground. Kacey and Kayden looked around. They were now standing in a forest. Kayden looked ahead and saw a few homes. Some looked like the ones in Toad Town, and others looked a little different.

Kacey looked in the same direction and saw the homes. She thought to herself, "Huh. Some of those houses look like the ones I saw in the Koopa Kingdom."

The siblings also noticed a few homes that looked like Toad houses, but the roofs resembled Koopa shells.

"Wow! What is that place?" Kayden asked.

Peach looked at the two and asked, "Remember when I mentioned the hybrid village?" She added, "Well, this is it! Welcome to Hybrid Hollow!"

Kacey looked at the princess. "You mean…?"

When they walked into the village, Kacey and Kayden gasped. They saw many hybrids walking around the village. Some were half human, others were half Toad, half Yoshi, or even half Shy Guy. But they all had Koopa features. They saw a human woman and a Koopa man sitting outside of a house, sharing a kiss. The sight made Kacey smile.

She and Kayden saw a group of Human/Koopa children playing. Some of the kids had normal human skin, while others had golden skin and scales like the Koopas.

"Wow!" Kacey exclaimed. "This is amazing!"

Peach smiled. "Fun fact: my kingdom and Bowser's kingdom protect and oversee this village."

"Wow! So, Bowser does something positive for once!" Kayden remarked.

Kacey stopped herself from frowning at Kayden's comment.

Then, Mario pointed ahead. "Hey, look!"

Kacey and Kayden turned to see two adult Human/Koopa hybrids. Both of them had coily black hair, brown eyes, and chestnut skin. They also had Koopa horns and a Koopa tail. The woman's hair was pulled back in a low ponytail and she wore a red dress with a black belt adorned with a red jewel. The man wore a magenta shirt with gray at the bottom, a gray belt with a magenta jewel, gray pants, and black boots.

The man noticed the group and grinned. He got the woman's attention and she looked in their direction. She smiled, grabbed the man's hand, and rushed over to them.

"Hello, Your Highness!" The man greeted.

The woman exclaimed, "It's so nice to see you guys again!" She then noticed Kayden and Kacey. "Oh, and you brought some new friends?"

"Yep!" Luigi answered. "Meet Kayden and Kacey. Mario and I took them in." Luigi looked at the siblings. "Guys, this is Lord Xavier and Lady Ember. They're the leaders of this village!"

"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" said Kacey.

Xavier replied, "It's nice to meet you guys too!"

Kayden smiled. "This place is amazing!"

Ember giggled. "Thanks!" She then said, "Since you two are new here, Xavier and I could give you a tour."

"Yes! That'd be great!" Kacey replied.

During the tour, Ember and Xavier told Kayden and Kacey more interesting things about the village and hybrids in general. The main rule of the village is no discrimination. They also told them that they made the village so there could be a place for hybrids and mixed couples could live and exist in peace and not get harassed by Toads, Koopas, and humans. Kacey looked around at the different shops around the village, but her mind was on a few things that the village leaders and her friends told them.

Hybrids—mainly Human/Koopa hybrids—are feared and misunderstood in the Mushroom Kingdom, while in the Koopa Kingdom, they're seen as too weak or, in the case of half human hybrids, too human.

"I can't believe they get so much hate. I know that the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdom are rivals, but, hybrids are people too."

After the tour, the group hung out around the village. Kacey smiled as she sat down on a bench and looked around at everyone. All of the hybrids and other species looked very happy together.

"This really is amazing!" Kacey thought to herself.

She took out her phone and put the Koopalings in a group chat. She texted them, saying, "Peach and the others just brought us to the hybrid village. I love this place so much!"

Larry replied back, "Aw man! We should've taken you there first!"

"We should visit again soon!" Iggy sent.

Kacey giggled softly at Larry's message.

Roy then texted, "We gotta give ya a tour of our kingdom the next time you're here."

"Roy's right." Wendy responded. She sent another text. "You'll love all of the towns and cities here!"

As she talked to the Koopas, she didn't notice Xavier walking nearby. He then spoke, loud enough for Kacey to hear. "Roy? As in, Roy Koopa?"

Kacey gasped and quickly put her phone away.

Xavier chuckled. "Sorry for startling you." He then said, "So, Roy huh?"

"Y-Yeah. It's Roy Koopa." Kacey replied.

Xavier sat next to her. "I guess you don't want the others to know that you're talking to them either, huh? Their friend Jasmine is the same way."

Kacey nodded. She looked at Xavier and said, "Please don't tell the others!"

Xavier gave her a smile and replied, "Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me."

Kacey returned the smile. "Thanks."

After looking around and hanging out in Hybrid Hollow, the group said goodbye to everyone and headed back to the Mushroom Kingdom. They jumped into the Warp Cannon and flew in the air once again. As they flew away from the village, Kacey thought about everything that happened. They really saw more hybrids! And they got to meet them! They HAVE to visit again sometime!

Once they landed in the Mushroom Kingdom, Kacey smiled. Today was a really great day.

Peach looked at Kayden and Kacey. "Did you two have a good time?"

"Yes!" Kayden said.

"The village is beautiful!" Kacey replied.

Kacey then began to think to herself.

"Koopas and other species can live together in peace! If they can do that in Hybrid Hollow… Maybe someday, Luigi and the others will be alright with me being friends with the Koopas and Jasmine dating Ludwig!"

Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoy this chapter! Now, this took me some time to finish because I had to read my old fanfic "Voice of an Angel" since the chapter is inspired by it. And that story is TRASH! It makes me cringe so bad. I know I've written worse at 12-13 years old, but it still does lol. I could barely listen to Darksymphony777 read it before because of how bad I was cringing XD

Anyways, I hope you all like it! And the two songs mentioned in this chapter like in "Voice of an Angel" are Will You Love by Connor Desai and What If by Emilie Autumn :D

Daisy and Azalea were relaxing in the living room the following day. They were currently watching one of their favorite TV shows, starring a Yoshi and a Pionpi. As the episode ended, Daisy looked over at her little sister.

"Y'know, it's been kinda boring here lately." She said.

Azalea turned her attention from the TV to Daisy. "Yeah. I think so too."

The two looked back at the TV as the next episode began to play.

"This party's going to be amazing!" The Pionpi said excitedly.

The Yoshi grinned. "Right! And EVERYONE will be here! Especially Johnny!" The Yoshi sighed dreamily. "The weekend can't come any faster!"

As she let the characters' dialogue sink in, Daisy let out a loud gasp. "That's it!"

"Huh? What are you talking about?" questioned Azalea.

Daisy grinned widely and replied, "We should throw a party!"

Azalea thought about it for a second before smiling. "Oh yeah! We haven't thrown a party in a long time!"

Daisy grabbed a nearby notebook and pen and flipped to a blank page. She then began to jot down the names of a few guests.

"Ok, so… Peach obviously, Mario and Luigi, Toad and Toadette…"

Azalea then said, "Don't forget Kayden, Kacey, and Jasmine!"

"Right!" Daisy wrote their names down.

The two royal sisters continued to bring up and write down other friends to invite to their future party, growing more and more excited as the minutes went by.

Later on, Kacey told Kayden and the Bros. that she was heading outside to get some fresh air. She walked through the town and waved to a few Toads that walked by. After looking around, and making sure no one else was near, she left the Mushroom Kingdom.

"Hmm. Well, I guess I should head to Grass Land and try the Warp Cannon…"

Kacey continued walking and turned left. Eventually, she arrived in Grass Land and found the Warp Cannon. Smiling, she approached the large cannon. She looked around, making sure no one was around to see her. Thankfully, no Toads or humans were around. After pressing a few buttons, Kacey jumped inside of the Warp Cannon.

The Warp Cannon shot her into the air and she soared out of Grass Land.

"Yep! This is much more faster than running through different worlds and jumping through Warp Pipes!" Kacey exclaimed.

Kacey soon arrived in the Koopa Kingdom and was let inside of the castle. When she was inside, Kacey gasped, seeing a Koopa that she didn't recognize. Her gasp caught the Koopa's attention.

As the Koopa approached her, Kacey got a better look. Actually, she DID recognize her! She saw this Koopa in one of the portraits hanging on the walls of the castle. This Koopa was very beautiful! She had the same golden skin that most Koopas had, two horns on her head, two spikes on her tail, red eyes, long pink hair, and a magenta shell with purple rings surrounding the spikes. She also wore pink heels on her feet with bows on them, gold bracelets on her wrists, pink lipstick, and a gold crown with two blue jewels along with a pink heart-shaped jewel in the middle and a pink cloth on the top.

"Hello there. You must be Kacey." The Koopa greeted her. "I'm Clawdia, Junior and the Koopalings' mother!"

Kacey smiled. "Wow! It's nice to meet you, Clawdia!"

Clawdia smiled back at her. "I'm so glad to finally meet you! I've been so busy lately, I didn't have the chance to meet you and introduce myself before." Clawdia moved a strand of hair out of her face. "The kids are in the game room. I'll take you there."

Clawdia and Kacey talked as they walked down the hall. When they got to the game room, Clawdia gently pushed the door open. She looked around at her children and said, "Hey, everyone! Look who's here!"

The kids looked up and smiled when they saw Kacey. Kacey walked inside and sat with everyone.

Clawdia giggled. "Have fun!"

After that, the Koopa Queen left the game room.

"How are you doing, Kacey?" Wendy asked her.

"I'm great!" answered Kacey.

Larry pulled out a brand new board game for everyone to play. Before he could ask Kacey if she wanted to play, Bowser Jr. walked over to her.

"Hey, Kacey! Wanna draw with me?" He asked.

"I'm not really good at drawing, but sure!" Kacey replied.

Larry pouted. "Aw, I wanted you to play this game with me!" He rolled his eyes as Junior stuck his tongue out at him.

"Don't worry, Larry. I'll play that game with you another time." Kacey said after giggling.

Bowser Jr. passed a piece of paper and pencil to Kacey. She lay down next to the youngest Koopa on the floor. While Kacey drew a flower, Junior drew Bowser stomping on Mario. As she drew, Kacey started to sing.

"Will you laugh, will you laugh 'till it's all gone…."

The others stopped what they were doing and listened to her. Kacey continued to draw and sing, not noticing the stares from her friends.

"Oh my gosh…" Roy thought. "I don't remember THIS from my dream!"

Soon, Kacey finished singing. She then heard Ludwig say, "Wow…"

Kacey looked up and saw everyone staring at her in awe. "What's wrong?"

Ludwig replied, "You sounded amazing!"

"Yeah!" Wendy said. "You didn't tell us that you could sing!"

Kacey blushed. "Oh, I'm not THAT good…"

Roy exclaimed, "Are you kidding? That was great!"

"You should have your own concert!" Lemmy remarked.

Kacey's face got redder. "U-Um, I don't think I'm ready for that."

Smiling, Ludwig looked at Kacey and said, "You know, I could play a song on my piano and you could sing it, just for us."

Kacey replied, "Oh, that sounds like a good idea!"

The group left the game room and they headed to the ballroom. When they walked inside, Kacey smiled, loving the cream colored walls, gold curtains, and ivory marble on the floor. She followed Ludwig over to his black piano. He sat down and looked at her.

"So, is there a song that you really like?" He asked.

Kacey thought it over for a moment. She then thought of one and whispered it to Ludwig.

Ludwig smiled. "Oh! Jasmine likes that song too!"

He then began to play the song. The others listened as Kacey started to sing the first few lyrics.

"Here you sit on your high-backed chair. Wonder how the view is from there. I wouldn't know, 'cause I like to sit upon the floor. Yeah upon the floor…"

Roy's tail wagged as he listened to Kacey's beautiful voice. "Wow. I love her voice."

Everyone clapped and cheered once Ludwig and Kacey were finished.

Kacey's cheeks turned pink. "Thanks, guys." She looked back at Ludwig. "That was awesome! We should do this again sometime!"

Later that day, Roy and Kacey were sitting in his room. She wanted to see Pookie again. She hugged the white rabbit as she sat next to Roy on his bed.

"So cute!" Kacey said to Pookie.

Roy noticed Pookie nuzzling Kacey. "Huh. I guess he trusts you."

Kacey smiled at Pookie. "Yeah. I guess he does."

As Kacey began to pet Pookie again, Roy thought back to Kacey's singing from earlier. She sounded so beautiful. Roy looked at Kacey.

"Hey, Kacey?"

"Yes, Roy?"

Roy rubbed the back of his head. "I uh, I was wondering if you could, I dunno… sing somethin' for me?"

Smiling, Kacey replied, "Sure!"

Kacey thought for a second and a song came to her mind. Then, Kacey sang. Roy leaned back against the wall as he listened to her. Pookie nuzzled against her again, making Kacey smile as she sang.

Kacey finished singing a few minutes later and looked back at Roy. "So, did you like it?"

Roy sat up and replied, "Liked it? I loved it!" Roy leaned in closer to Kacey and whispered to her. "Don't tell the others I said this, but, man. I swear you have the voice of an angel."

Kacey's face turned red. "Aww, my voice can't be that good."

"It is!" Roy said. "You should sing more often!"

Kacey giggled and hid her red face behind Pookie.

Two days later, Kacey was washing the dishes after she and the others finished eating their breakfast. Mario and Kayden entered the living room and took a seat on the couch. Luigi looked out of the window and saw a Koopa Paratroopa placing something inside of their mailbox (whether it was a few letters or a package, Luigi wasn't sure. He couldn't get a good look). The Paratroopa closed the mailbox and flew away.

"I'm gonna check the mail." Luigi told them as he stood up.

He then walked outside. He returned a minute later, holding a single letter.

"Who's the letter from?" Kayden asked.

Luigi replied, "It's from Daisy. And it's for all of us."

Kacey finished washing the last dish as Luigi opened the envelope. She dried off her hands and joined the others. Luigi then read the letter.

"Daisy and Azalea are throwing a party in two months and we're all invited!"

Kacey smiled. "Oh, that's great! I can't wait to go!" She then asked, "Are Bowser and his group invited?"

Kayden arched an eyebrow. "Why would they come?"

Kacey shrugged. "Just curious."

Mario chuckled and remarked, "Well, we occasionally invite Bowser to our parties. But, I don't think Daisy's inviting him or his family."

"Aw, that's too bad." Kacey thought to herself. "I wanted to hang out with Roy and the others."

Later on, Kacey snuck out of the Mushroom Kingdom and made it to the Koopa Kingdom. After being let inside of the castle, she walked towards the game room. She took a peek inside when she got there and saw Wendy, Larry, and Morton inside.

"Hey, guys!" Kacey greeted as she walked inside.

"Hey!" The three Koopalings said.

Kacey looked around. "Where's everyone else?"

Wendy responded, "Junior is out with our parents, Iggy is out on a date with Tiana, Lemmy and Ludwig went to Emberstone, and Roy is out in Neo Bowser City with some friends."

"Oh ok." Kacey replied.

"Aw. I wanted to see Roy." She thought.

Kacey sat with the others and the four of them hung out and played games.

The next day, Kacey and the others were visiting Daisy and her family in Sarasaland. Maia smiled at everyone.

"I'm sure everyone will have a great time at the party."

Kacey sat near the window and peered outside. She saw a few Tokotokos sprinting around. Her mind went back to the burly Koopaling and she let out a sigh.

"I wonder when I can see him again." Kacey said.

Then, she heard Daisy ask, "See who again?"

Kacey turned to see the others staring at her. She gasped and covered her mouth.

"Why was I so loud?!"

Kacey said, "Um, no one."

Azalea grinned. "It might be her boyfriend!"

Kayden playfully raised an eyebrow at his younger sister. "Boyfriend?"

While blushing, Kacey shouted, "W-What? N-No! I don't have a boyfriend!"

"Well, who is it?" asked Daisy.

"He's just a friend." Kacey replied.

"What's his name?" Azalea asked.

Kacey stammered. "U-Um… W-Well—"

Before Kacey could give an answer, Daisy interrupted her.

"Hey, I know! Why don't you invite this guy to the party?"

"W-WHAT?!" Kacey exclaimed, her eyes now wide.

"Yeah. We don't mind." Rowan agreed.

Maia added, "Plus, you can see your friend again."

"Uh… I don't know." Kacey said.

Daisy gave her a smile. "C'mon! It'll be fun!"

Kacey sighed. After a moment, she finally said, "Alright. I'll… I'll see if he'll be able to come."

"Great!" Daisy cheered.

Everyone then went back to their original conversation. Kacey pulled out her phone when she felt it vibrating. She saw a text from Jasmine, who was sitting next to Peach.

Jasmine's text said, "What are you going to do?"

"I don't know." Kacey responded back. She sent her another text. "I guess I have to tell him. Whenever I get the chance."

The others went back home later on. Kacey stared at the ground as she thought about what happened. When would she see Roy? Would she be able to sneak over to Darkland today?

Or… wait.

When they stepped inside, Kacey stretched her arms and looked at her brother and guardians.

"Well, I'm gonna go and rest in my room. I'm kinda tired."

"Alright, Kacey!" Luigi replied.

Kacey gave them a small smile. She turned around and made her way upstairs. Once she was in her room, she closed the door and sat on her bed. Kacey took out her phone and scrolled through her contacts. Finally, she found the fake name that she gave Roy. She pressed the call button and put the phone to her ear.

After two seconds, Roy answered the phone. "Hey, girly."

Kacey giggled. "Hi." She sighed and whispered, "Roy, I have a huge problem. I'm so stupid!"

"What? What's wrong?" Roy wondered, a little concerned.

Kacey replied, "Princesses Daisy and Azalea are throwing a party soon."

"And that's bad?" Roy responded.

After taking a deep breath, Kacey explained the situation to her friend. Once she was finished, Roy chuckled.

He then told her, "That's all? Don't worry. I can help ya out."

"W-What? You will?" Kacey asked. "But if everyone sees a Koopaling at the party, Mario and Luigi will—"

Roy cut her off and said, "Don't worry, girly. I have an idea, and it's gonna work."

Kacey whispered, "Oh, thank you, Roy! I could hug you!"

Roy felt his cheeks turning pink after hearing that. He was SO glad that Kacey couldn't see it.

Kacey blinked and asked, "But, what are you going to do?"

Even though Kacey couldn't see his face, Roy smirked. He then said, "You'll see."

This took me so long to finish, but here's the next chapter! I hope you all like it!

As the weeks went by, Kacey wasn't able to visit the Koopas that much. Everyone was too preoccupied with buying suits and dresses for the upcoming party. As she was thinking about it, Kacey promptly sent Roy a text, letting him know that he needed to wear a suit at the party. Her phone dinged and she saw that Roy sent her a thumbs up. She sent him another text.

"I can't wait to see you at the party."

Roy responded back a moment later. "Me neither."

Kacey raised an eyebrow at the wink emoji that he sent with his message.

"I still wanna know what your plan is, Roy…" Kacey wondered.

Finally, the day of the party had arrived. Everyone was very excited for it! Kacey was excited, but she was mostly nervous.

"I hope everything goes well at the party…"

Kacey inhaled deeply, trying her best to remain calm. Everything would be fine. She had nothing to worry about!

But… what if something did go wrong? Oh boy…

After hanging around the Koopa Kingdom for a while, Roy headed to his room to look for his wand. He was going to need it later, so he had to find it fast. He entered his room and started looking around. Larry walked by Roy's room and noticed him looking around for something.

"What are you looking for?" Larry wondered.

"My wand." Roy replied.

"Why?" asked Larry.

Roy responded, "I'm helping Kacey with something."

"Oh." Larry said. "Why do you need your wand to help her?"

Roy growled and faced his younger brother. "None of your business!"

Larry held up his hands. "Alright, jeez!"

Larry hurried along the corridor. Roy sighed and looked under his bed. He moved Pookie's cage and finally found it. Roy grabbed his wand and sat on his bed, staring at it in his hand.

Roy sighed and thought to himself, "I must really love this girl."

Kacey sat in her room later on and gazed at the floor. Kacey fidgeted with her hair. She thought about what Roy told her before. He told her that his plan would work. No one would freak out with him being there. Mario and Luigi wouldn't attack him.

"I wonder what he's gonna do." Kacey thought. "I still feel bad about the whole thing, but hopefully Roy's plan works."

Kacey looked up at the clock. "Just a few more hours."

The hours went by fast, which Kacey wasn't sure if she liked it or not. The party was beginning to start. Mario, Luigi, and Kayden were wearing tuxedos while Peach and Kacey wore pink dresses with white ribbons. Jasmine wore a similar dress like theirs, except her dress was blue. The group left the Mushroom Kingdom and started making their way to Sarasaland.

As they walked farther away from the Mushroom Kingdom, Kacey took a deep breath.

"Roy… I hope your idea works. Whatever it is."

Roy walked out of the castle and hopped inside of his Clown Car. He flew out of the Koopa Kingdom and made his way to Sarasaland.

Roy inhaled deeply and looked ahead. "Alright. This is gonna work."

After some time, Roy arrived in Sarasaland and landed behind a tree and a few bushes. He looked around, making sure that no Pionpis, Gaos, Yurarins, or Tokotokos were around to see him. Luckily, no one was nearby. Roy hopped out of his Clown Car and grabbed his wand.

"I guess I should do this now." He whispered. "Should've done it earlier."

Waving his wand, Roy cast a spell. When the spell was finished, he placed his wand inside of his Clown Car. After that, Roy made his way inside of the castle.

In the castle, Kacey was talking to Peach, Jasmine, Daisy, and Azalea. The royal sisters of Sarasaland were both wearing yellow dresses (which the older sister was a little annoyed out her younger sister wearing the same color as her again). Everyone was having a great time, and Kacey wasn't nervous anymore! As the girls talked, Azalea remembered their conversation from weeks ago.

Azalea turned to face Kacey and asked, "So Kacey, where's your friend?"

Kacey's nervousness came flooding back.

Daisy added, "Yeah. I'd like to meet him."

Kacey nervously glanced around the ballroom. "Oh, I'm not sure. I think he'll be here soon."

Then, Kacey felt someone tapping her shoulder. She then heard a familiar voice say, "Hey, Kacey."

When Kacey turned around, she let out a soft gasp. Standing there was a boy her age. He had fair skin, pink hair, and wore a black tux and pink sunglasses. The boy smirked at her as Kacey stared at him, her cheeks turning red.

"It's Roy!" Kacey thought. "What did he do?" Kacey then realized that her cheeks felt warm. "Am… am I blushing?!"

Peach looked over and asked, "Oh, is this your friend, Kacey?"

Kacey nodded. "Yes. This is… Royale."

Daisy said, "It's so nice to meet you, Royale! Kacey was talking about you before!"

"Really?" asked Roy.

"Yeah." Daisy answered. "She missed you so much and was wondering when she could see you again."

Kacey blushed again. "D-Daisy!"

Daisy chuckled softly. "Well, I hope you have a good time tonight. I'm gonna go look for Luigi now."

Daisy then left. Minutes later, Azalea and Peach left to get some juice.

Roy and Jasmine looked at Kacey and asked in unison, "Royale?"

Kacey turned to Roy and remarked, "Well, that was the first name I could think of when putting a fake name for you in my phone! If you told me your idea, I could've come up with a better name!"

Roy chuckled and Jasmine laughed. Jasmine then said, "I'm gonna go look for the others. I'll see you guys later."

Kacey looked at Roy again as Jasmine walked away from them. "What did you do?" She questioned him.

Roy replied, "I used a spell."

"Oh." Kacey said. "So, where's your—"

Roy cut her off and whispered, "My Clown Car is hidden behind some bushes and a tree. My wand's inside of it."

Sighing, Kacey then said, "Thanks again for doing this. I still feel bad about it."

"Don't worry about it, doll face." Roy replied, making them both blush.

Mario and Luigi were standing across the room, eating cupcakes. Luigi glanced around the ballroom and grinned. Everyone was having fun! He saw Kayden dancing with Azalea, the two smiling and laughing. He then looked over at Kacey. She was talking to her friend.

As he looked at the boy, Luigi had a strange feeling. Has he seen this boy before?

He turned to his brother. "Hey, Mario?

"Yeah, Luigi?" Mario answered.

Luigi gestured toward the pink haired boy. "That kid Kacey's talking to. Doesn't he look familiar to you?"

Mario looked closer at the boy. He then replied, "Yeah. He kinda does."

"Hmm. I can't think of who he looks like." said Luigi.

"Me neither." Mario replied.

The two brothers decided to drop it and focused on the party.

Roy and Kacey talked and danced as the party went on, with Kacey staring at Roy on and off. The two then decided to go outside and talk. They sat near the bushes and tree where Roy's Clown Car was hiding. The guests were still inside and the guards were far away, which they were grateful for. Kacey smiled as she looked up at the night sky.

"The stars look so beautiful tonight." She said.

Roy replied, "I guess."

Kacey continued to smile as she looked at Roy again. "Wow…"

Roy looked back at her in confusion. "Why do ya keep staring at me?"

"Oh, sorry. I didn't notice." Kacey responded. She pushed back a strand of hair. "I guess you look kinda… cute like this." As they both blushed, and her face got redder, Kacey quickly added, "N-Not that you don't look cute as a Koopa!"

Smirking again, Roy said, "I know what ya meant."

Roy then thought, "Kacey thinks I'm cute…"

Then, the two began to hear slow music playing in the castle. Kacey looked at Roy again.

"Roy?"

"Yeah?" He replied.

Kacey asked him, "Do you… do you wanna dance… with me?"

"Oh, uh, I ain't that good at slow dancing." Roy answered.

Smiling, Kacey replied, "That's ok. I'm not that good either. But, it'd be fun!"

"I guess we can."

Roy stood up and helped Kacey to her feet. Roy put his arms around her waist and Kacey placed hers on his shoulders. Then, they started dancing.

Kacey felt her face getting hot again. "Why do I keep blushing?"

"She's been blushing a lot." Roy thought. "Does she…? Nah. That's not it."

The two continued to dance, enjoying it. Soon, the music stopped and they finished their dance. They let each other go.

Kacey remarked with a smile, "I liked dancing with you."

"Me too." Roy replied. "You're good at it."

Roy and Kacey stared at each other. The two then leaned in closer and closer. Then, they froze, hearing people staring to walk out of the castle.

Kacey pulled away and cleared her throat. "I… guess the party's over."

Roy answered, "Yeah. I guess I'll see ya later."

Roy turned around. Before he could take a step, Kacey quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek. The disguised Koopaling felt his face heating up.

"Thanks again. I hope I can come see you guys again soon."

"Y-Yeah." Roy said.

"I should meet up with the others. Bye!"

Kacey gave Roy one more smile before heading back to the castle. Roy jumped inside of his Clown Car and grabbed his wand. He turned himself back to normal, put his wand inside of his shell, and flew back to the Koopa Kingdom. As he flew out of Sarasaland, Roy thought about what happened. Well, what almost happened.

"Did we almost kiss?!"

Hi! I don't usually write and post on Monday's, but I had some time to write today!

While the group was leaving Sarasaland, Kacey started to lose herself in her thoughts.

"Oh my gosh! Did we almost kiss?! Oh my gosh!" Kacey's eyes grew wide. "And what made me kiss him on the cheek?!"

Kayden noticed that his sister has been silent. He looked at her and asked, "Are you alright, Kacey?"

Kacey looked back at him. "Yeah. I guess I'm a little tired."

Luigi chuckled and replied, "So am I. I danced a lot."

Mario said, "I ate a lot," making everyone laugh.

As Kacey calmed down, she once again thought about her and Roy's almost kiss. What in the world happened? What made them almost do it?

Kacey continued to follow her brother and friends as they made their way through another kingdom.

Two weeks have gone by since the party. Again, Kacey hasn't been able to visit the Koopas because Mario and the rest of her friends wanted to do different activities, like playing baseball and other sports. While spending time with her friends, Kacey continued to think about the Koopalings and Bowser Jr. When she thought about Roy, she noticed that her heart would race and she'd feel her face getting hot. When she'd think about her and Roy nearly kissing, her heart raced faster and her face would get even redder.

Right now, Kacey and the others were watching Mario and Luigi play tennis. As she watched them, Kacey blushed as she thought about almost kissing Roy again.

"What is wrong with me?" She thought.

Just then, she heard her brother ask, "Are you ok, Kacey?"

Kacey turned to face him and smiled. "I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" asked Kayden. "Your face is really red."

Kacey replied, "I'm alright, Kayden. Don't worry."

Kayden then answered, "Oh ok. Just let anyone know if you feel sick."

After nodding, Kacey and Kayden went back to watching the tennis match.

That night, as Kacey got ready for bed, Roy Koopa was still on her mind. Sighing, she put on her nightgown and got into bed.

As she gazed at the ceiling, Kacey whispered, "What is going on with me lately…?"

A few minutes later, she drifted off to sleep.

Another week went by and Kacey still didn't get a chance to see Roy and his family. One day, while everyone was at Peach's castle, Peach saw that Kacey's face was turning red.

The Princess asked, "Kacey, are you sick?"

"No. Why?" Kacey said.

Peach replied, "Your face is really red."

"Maybe she's in love!" cheered Daisy.

Kacey's flush deepened. In love? No. That… that's not it.

"N-No! I'm not in love!" Kacey exclaimed.

Daisy then asked, "Well, why else would your face turn red so much?" She adjusted her crown. "You said you're not sick. And you don't seem mad or embarrassed."

"Is it Royale?" Peach wondered.

Kacey felt her heart fluttering. She whispered, loud enough for the others to hear, "I'm not in love with anyone."

Then, Daisy asked her, "Hey. Where is Royale anyways? I haven't seen him since the party."

Kacey said, "Um, he's probably at home working out or playing video games."

"Oh. Where does he live?" asked Peach.

"He lives somewhere in the Beanbean Kingdom." Kacey lied. "He visits the Mushroom Kingdom sometimes."

"A human living in the Beanbean Kingdom?" Mario, Luigi, and Peach thought.

That seemed strange. Neither one of them remembered seeing humans living in the Beanbean Kingdom. The only inhabitants they've seen were Beanish, Hoohooligans, Kurako, Lagoon-dwellers, the Oho Jee, Toads, Winkles, and Yoshis. The only times when they've seen humans in the Beanbean Kingdom were when the humans were visiting and on vacation. Did a few humans move to the Beanbean Kingdom recently?

They decided to ignore that peculiar fact. Peach then replied, "Oh ok. Maybe we can visit him one day."

"I hate lying like this!" Kacey thought. "Oh, hopefully they believe it."

One day, Roy was sitting in his room playing video games with three other Dragon Koopas. Pookie was in his cage, eating a few berries. Roy chuckled as he threw a blue shell.

"Shoot!" The boy to his right muttered after the blue shell hit his character.

The boy sitting on the floor said, "HA!", after making it to first place and winning the race.

The boy to Roy's left sighed and asked, "So, should we play Smash Bros. now?"

Roy shrugged. "Sure."

He closed Mario Kart World and clicked on Smash Bros. They all chose their characters and the stage. Then, the game started. As the boys played the game, they heard a knock on the door.

"Who's that?" asked the boy on the floor.

Roy replied, "I dunno."

He paused the game, set his controller down, and walked over to his bedroom door. When he opened it, Roy saw Kacey on the other side, a sweet smile on her face that made his heart melt.

"Kacey?"

"Hi, Roy!" She greeted.

"I haven't seen ya in a while, girly." Roy replied.

Kacey's heart fluttered at the cute nickname. It's strange though. It never happened before when he called her that.

She then said, "Yeah. Luigi and the others wanted to do other stuff. But, I can finally sneak over and see you guys again!" Giggling, she added, "I really wanted to see you! Pookie too. Clawdia told me that you were in your room."

"Cool." Roy then let her inside.

Kacey immediately saw three other Koopas when she walked inside. The Koopa on the floor and the one to Roy's right both had golden skin. The one on Roy's left had tan skin. The tan skinned Koopa had spiky hair like the other boys along with spiked wrist bands, but his hair was black. His shell was red with yellow rings surrounding his spikes. He also wore a black jacket and black sunglasses.

The boy on Roy's right had green hair, blue eyes, and a red shell with bright yellow rings surrounding the spikes. And the boy on the floor had red, white, and black hair, blue eyes, and a black shell with red rings surrounding the spikes.

The green haired boy asked, "Who's this?"

"This is Kacey." answered Roy.

The boy gasped. "So, this is Kacey?"

The one with the sunglasses exclaimed, "Oh wow! Tiana mentioned you to me before!" He stood up and walked over, shaking Kacey's hand. He then said, "I'm Rogan. I'm one of Tiana's friends!"

Kacey smiled. "It's nice to meet you!"

Roy gestured to the boy on the floor and said, "This is my friend, Kameron." He then pointed to the boy with green hair. "And this is my cousin, Austin."

"Hey!" Kameron and Austin said to her.

"Hello!" Kacey then looked at Austin. "Now that I look at you, I think I did see a portrait of you and a few other Koopas hanging on the wall before."

Austin grinned. "Yeah! That must've been a picture of me with my parents and siblings!" He giggled. "We live in the Magma Kingdom. It's kinda close to the Koopa Kingdom. And it's WAY better!"

Roy rolled his eyes at Austin, getting a little annoyed. "Whatever." He looked at Kacey. "I don't have enough controllers for ya to play too."

Smiling, Kacey replied, "That's ok! I'd probably be terrible at it." She knelt down in front of Pookie's cage. "I'll just watch you guys and play with Pookie."

"Ok."

Roy, Rogan, and Austin then joined Kameron on the floor. They grabbed their controllers and continued to play their game. Kacey took Pookie out of his cage and sat on Roy's bed.

"Did you miss me?" She whispered to the rabbit.

Pookie nuzzled against her, making Kacey giggle. As the guys played the video game, a thought came to Austin.

"Hey, Roy? You still don't have a girlfriend yet?"

Kacey looked at the boys.

Roy replied, "Nah. Why is that on your mind though?"

Austin chuckled. "Just curious. I mean, I heard that you stopped going on dates with random girls that you met."

"What? Roy… He did that?" Kacey thought.

Then, Austin said, "Maybe you can go out with Pom Pom. She's still single and she's pretty cute."

Kacey stopped petting Pookie. "Who's… Pom Pom?" She asked, a hint of jealousy in her voice.

Roy looked back at her and explained, "She's a friend. She and our other friend Boom Boom sometimes help us out during our invasions."

"Oh…" Kacey said.

Austin looked at his younger cousin. "So, you gonna ask her out?"

Kacey muttered under her breath, "No he's not…"

Roy glanced back at Kacey again. "Did you say something, Kacey?"

"Oh, no." She answered.

Pookie nuzzled against her again, trying to soothe her.

Roy looked at Austin again and said, "Well, anyways, I'm not gonna ask her out."

Kacey relaxed. Good.

"Why not?" asked Rogan.

"'Cause she and I are just friends." replied Roy.

Kacey thought to herself, "Oh thank goodness." She blinked. "Wait a minute. What in the world? Why did I…? I'm not… jealous."

Roy then asked, "What about you, Austin?"

Austin shrugged and responded, "Just waiting on the right person."

Rogan chuckled. "So I'm the only one here with a girlfriend?"

"Haha! I guess so!" Kameron laughed.

Roy then looked over at Kameron. "I feel like you'd be like your dad and get with a human."

Once again, Kacey glanced at them. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Smiling, Kameron replied, "Oh, my stepmom is human."

"Really?" Kacey asked.

"Yep."

They then paused the game for a moment. Kameron looked at Kacey again and explained everything. He told her that his father met his stepmom while visiting the Mushroom Kingdom. He also mentioned that he has a step-sister and two younger sisters. His younger sisters were Human/Koopa hybrids.

Kacey gasped. "Oh wow! More hybrids! Can I see what they look like?"

Kameron nodded and pulled out his phone. He went to his photos and showed Kacey a picture of his sisters. Both girls had tan skin, black hair, and blue eyes. They also had Koopa horns, a Koopa tail, and a fang-like tooth in the upper corner of their mouths (one girl had hers on the left and the other girl's was on the right). The older girl wore a dark pink shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. She also wore purple wrist bands.

The younger girl wore a soft, light pink shirt, light purple wrist bands, blue jeans, and white shoes.

"Aww, they're adorable!" Kacey said.

Kameron then showed Kacey a video. In the video was his father, Kaleb, and baby sister, Katrina. Kaleb scooped up Katrina and kissed her cheek, once, twice, three times, making the little girl laugh.

Kacey smiled. "They look so happy."

Kameron returned the smile. "Yeah, we are."

After putting his phone away, the guys started another match. Kacey hugged Pookie and began to think.

"Mario and the others will change their minds. I'm confident they will."

I'm gonna be busy tomorrow, so the next chapter will hopefully be up on Thursday!

Rogan and Kameron headed home later on. A minute later, Roy realized something and looked at Kacey.

"Hey! We still haven't given ya a tour of the kingdom!"

"That's right!" Kacey remarked.

Austin then said, "Oh! You should visit the Magma Kingdom! You can also meet my siblings."

Kacey smiled and replied, "That sounds fun too."

"Ok." said Roy. "We can give ya a tour of our kingdom, and then we can visit the Magma Kingdom."

Kacey cheered, which made Roy smile a little.

Roy and Austin showed Kacey the different towns and cities in the Koopa Kingdom. She really loved Shellspire City and Cinder Heights. The buildings and homes in those locations looked amazing! When questioned about the lava around the kingdom, the Koopa cousins explained that the lava were blocked off by gates to protect everyone, but the gates only came down when Mario and Luigi arrive to fight. Kacey already found the Koopa Kingdom interesting. But seeing the different locations made her love the kingdom even more.

Once the tour was over, the three returned to the castle and hopped inside of Roy's Clown Car. They lifted into the air and flew out of the Koopa Kingdom. Kacey smiled as she looked down at the ground. They eventually flew through Grumble Volcano. Kacey gasped as they flew past a large volcano in the area. Thankfully it didn't erupt while they were nearby.

After a few minutes of flying, they finally reached the Magma Kingdom. When they arrived, Kacey noticed that the kingdom looked pretty similar to the Koopa Kingdom, and even Grumble Volcano. Well, it had more lava and magma than the other two. The boys gave her a quick tour of the kingdom, showing Kacey different locations. Among these were Magmafalls, Infernia, and Smolder Springs.

They flew away from Smolder Springs and swiftly reached the large gray castle. Austin and Roy hopped out of the Clown Car and Roy helped Kacey get out. The two Koopa Troopa guards standing near the large front doors let the three of them inside.

"Wow!" Kacey whispered as she looked around at the paintings on the walls.

Austin smirked, making Roy roll his eyes. They walked down the hall until they arrived in the throne room. When they entered, they saw two adult Dragon Koopas, a man and a woman, sitting on the thrones, talking. The woman had red hair pulled back in a ponytail with a black spiked band, a purple shell with pink rings surrounding the spikes, red eyes, and she wore black glasses and spiked bands on her wrists and ankles.

The man was taller and his skin was tan instead of golden like the woman. He had long, green locs pulled back in a ponytail, wore two black wrist bands and a red shell with white rings surrounding the spikes, and had brown eyes, a green goatee, and two fang-like teeth in the upper corners of his mouth.

Austin and Roy stepped forward. "Hey, Mom, Dad! I'm back!" said Austin.

"Hey, Aunt Clawdeen, Uncle Langston!" Roy greeted them.

Clawdeen and Langston looked toward them. Clawdeen smiled.

"Hi, Roy!" She noticed the human girl with them. "Oh, and who is this?"

Austin replied, "This is his friend, Kacey."

"Hello!" Kacey said. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too!" Clawdeen replied.

Langston gave Roy a sly smile and asked him, "'Friend'?"

Roy's cheeks flushed. He quickly said, "Yes! Friend!"

"We're just friends…" Roy thought.

Langston chuckled. "Alright."

Austin looked at Kacey. "Since you met my parents, we'll take ya to my siblings! I think they're all in the game room."

"Ok!"

After saying goodbye to Langston and Clawdeen, Kacey followed Roy and Austin out of the throne room.

Like he thought, all of Austin's siblings were in the game room, which wasn't too different from the one in Bowser's castle. The only difference was the color of the walls. Instead of white walls (one of the few colors she's seen for a wall in Bowser's castle), the walls in this game room were light blue.

All of Austin's siblings stared at Kacey in curiosity and confusion. Just like Junior and the Koopalings, Austin and his siblings were very interesting. Some of the kids had red hair like Clawdeen and others had green hair like Langston. And three of them had different hair colors. Two had brown hair and one had black hair with purple at the ends. One of them even had green hair with black at the tips.

Austin said, "Guys, this is Roy's friend, Kacey!" He turned to Kacey. "Kacey, these are my younger siblings.

Austin pointed at each sibling, telling Kacey their names.

Kacey smiled at them. "Hello!"

Talisa, the little girl with black boots and pink spiked bands holding her short, red twin tails up, walked over to Kacey.

"Wow!" Talisa exclaimed. "You're very pretty!"

Kacey chuckled. "Thank you! You're pretty too!"

Talisa tapped Roy's leg and motioned for him to come closer. Roy knelt down in front of her.

She then whispered to Roy, "Is she your girlfriend?"

Roy blushed and exclaimed, "W-Wha?! N-No!"

Talisa giggled and skipped away from him. Kacey tilted her head when she noticed Roy's red face. What did Talisa tell him?

Alex, the girl with short brown hair tied back in a ponytail, looked at Kacey and asked her, "So, are you single?"

"Alex!" Roy shouted as he looked at her.

She chuckled and replied, "What? C'mon, man! I gotta know! Plus, she's cute!"

Kacey reddened. "U-Um, yes I am. But, I, uh… I'd be happy to be your friend. Sorry."

Alex smirked. "Alright, that's cool."

Kacey, Roy, and his cousins hung out in the game room and had so much fun. Eventually though, Roy and Kacey were ready to leave, which a few of his cousins were a little upset about.

Sandra, Roy's older cousin with light red hair in a ponytail, gave Kacey a smile. "It was great meeting you, Kacey. We should hang out again sometime."

"Yeah! I'd love that!" Kacey answered.

She and Roy said goodbye to everyone and left. Kacey sighed happily as they walked outside.

"The Magma Kingdom is really cool! So is your family."

"Eh, some of my cousins can be annoying." replied Roy.

As they hopped inside of the Clown Car, they heard a voice call out, "Roy!"

They looked ahead and saw a female Boom Boom. She had red eyes and a red colored head, blonde hair that faded into orange tied back in a ponytail with light green beads, and pink skin. Her shell was red and smooth with pastel red dots on them.

Roy hopped out of the Clown Car and greeted the girl as she approached them. "Hey, Pom Pom!"

Kacey pouted before quickly putting on a smile.

Roy then asked, "What are ya doin' in the Magma Kingdom?"

Pom Pom replied, "Oh, I'm visiting one of my friends!" Pom Pom then noticed Kacey and smiled at her. "Hello! You must be Roy's date!"

Kacey and Roy blushed. Roy replied, "N-Nah! She's just a friend! We're not on a date!"

Pom Pom chuckled. "Oh, sorry. I'm just so used to ya going out on multiple dates, Roy."

"Multiple dates!?" Kacey thought. "Roy, what is going on?!"

Roy helped Kacey out of the Clown Car and introduced the girls to each other. Kacey slowly relaxed.

"Roy and Pom Pom are just friends, Kacey." She reminded herself.

After talking for a couple of minutes, Kacey smiled more and started to like Pom Pom. She was really cool!

Soon, Roy told Pom Pom, "Well, I'll talk to ya later."

Pom Pom nodded. "Right. See ya!"

When Pom Pom walked towards a house, Roy and Kacey got back inside of the Clown Car and flew out of the Magma Kingdom.

Kacey then thought to herself, "I shouldn't have felt so weird about Pom Pom. Like Roy said, they're just friends. But… why do I even care so much?"

Kacey thought it over. Slowly, her eyes grew wide. Was it love? No, no. Although…

Maybe it was a crush?

My nephew's supposed to come over this weekend. I'm not sure if he's coming tomorrow or Saturday, but I'll try to work on the next chapter before he does!

Iggy and Ludwig walked side by side as they left the game room. Kamek flew into the room and told the two that their father needed them in the throne room immediately.

Iggy looked at Ludwig and asked him, "What do you think Dad wants?"

Ludwig shrugged and they continued walking down the corridor. Eventually, they made it to the throne room, where they saw Bowser sitting on his throne. The two walked inside and went over to him. Bowser grinned when he saw his sons.

"You needed us, Dad?" asked Ludwig.

Bowser replied, "Yeah. I wanna come up with another plan to kidnap Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom!"

Ludwig and Iggy groaned. They said in unison, "Of course…"

Bowser frowned. "Oh, come on! I got a feeling this one will work!"

Raising an eyebrow, Ludwig asked, "So, what are Iggy and I supposed to do?"

Bowser grinned again. "I want you two to come up with a machine that'll help us with our invasion!"

Iggy blinked. "Really? But, I feel like we've made a lot of inventions already."

Ludwig nodded and began listing off the different robots and ray guns that they've used in past invasions. Once he was finished, Bowser spoke again.

"Aw, I know there's something you guys haven't made!"

Iggy closed his eyes and thought it over. Something they haven't made… something they haven't made. Ludwig made a robot version of Princess Peach when he was younger, but it was destroyed once their plan failed. He and Ludwig also created a bunch of Mechakoopas over the years. Ludwig even made a time machine as a kid (which, maybe Iggy should try making one of his own one day).

Wait… If Ludwig could build a machine that enabled the user to travel through time… then maybe…

Iggy gasped. "I got it!"

"What is it?" Ludwig wondered.

Iggy then said, "I'll explain in the lab! But once we build it, we're gonna need to take a trip to the Mushroom Kingdom or another kingdom!"

Before Bowser or Ludwig could respond, Iggy grabbed Ludwig's hand and excitedly ran out of the throne room.

One day, Kayden was visiting Azalea in Sarasaland. The two friends wanted to hang out together, so they chose to hang out in the Chai Kingdom today. Azalea looked at Kayden and gave him a smile.

"So, Kayden, you and your sister have been living in the Mushroom Kingdom for a few months now." Azalea said. "Do you like it?"

Kayden replied, "It's nice. I'm really glad that Mario and Luigi helped us and took us in." He rubbed his arm. "I feel like I've said this in the past, but I used to think that no one would help us."

Azalea let out a sigh. "I do wish my family and I knew about your situation. We could've helped you two sooner."

Kayden smiled. "It's alright. Don't worry about it."

Azalea then asked, "By the way, what's Kacey up to?"

"She's been walking around the kingdom almost every day." Kayden answered. "Probably hanging out with that guy, Royale."

Azalea blinked and said, "Really? I didn't see them when I visited a few days ago."

Kayden arched an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"

Azalea nodded. "Yeah."

"Huh." Kayden said. "Maybe she wasn't near you. I'll ask her later."

Kacey headed back home later that day. Once again, she went to Castle Koopa today to hang out with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings. While she was there, she continued feeling strange while around Roy. Kacey also realized that Roy's constantly on her mind now.

She whispered to herself, "It has to be a crush… It can't be anything more than that."

Kacey finally returned home and walked inside. She saw her brother sitting on the couch. "Hey, bro!"

Kayden then said, "Hey, Kacey. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure! What is it?"

Kacey walked over and sat down next to him.

"Did you see Azalea a few days ago?" He finally asked.

Kacey tilted her head and wondered, "What do you mean?"

Kayden replied, "Azalea came to the Mushroom Kingdom and didn't see you anywhere."

"Oh…" said Kacey. "I must've been somewhere else in the kingdom."

"Were you with your friend?" Kayden asked her.

"Yes." Kacey responded.

After a moment, Kayden said, "Oh, alright."

Smiling, Kacey asked him, "Is there anything else you wanna talk about?"

Kayden shook his head. "No, that's it."

Kacey smiled again. She responded, "Ok." She then stood up. "Well, I'm gonna head to my room. I'm gonna rest for a bit."

Kayden nodded and watched as Kacey went upstairs.

"Why do I feel like she's lying?"

The following day, Kacey, Kayden, and the Bros. were watching TV in the living room. A few minutes later, Kacey got up from her seat.

She looked at them and said, "I'm gonna go get some fresh air for a while."

"Alright." Luigi replied.

Kacey went to the door and walked outside. When she was a little farther away, Kayden approached the door and and opened it slightly, looking through the crack. He watched his sister walking even farther until he couldn't see her.

Then, Kayden said, "Guys… I don't think Kacey's only been walking around the kingdom." He then sat back down.

Mario asked, "What do you mean?"

"Azalea didn't see her anywhere when she visited before." Kayden explained. "Plus, Kacey's been acting strange for a while now." He sighed and added, "I dunno. She could be telling the truth."

Luigi nodded. "Yeah. Is she sure she's alright?"

Kayden shrugged. "I don't know."

"Maybe we should walk around Toad Town, just to make sure." Luigi suggested.

Mario and Kayden nodded.

Kacey entered the Mushroom Kingdom an hour later after leaving the Koopa Kingdom again.

"This feeling won't go away." She whispered to herself. "I just know it."

She made it back to Toad Town and headed home. When Kacey walked inside, Kayden and the Bros. were waiting for her.

Kacey looked at the trio and said, "Um, hey, guys."

Luigi took a step forward and asked, "Kacey, where have you been?"

"Hm? I told you guys that I was gonna get some fresh air." Kacey replied.

Mario remarked, "We didn't see you anywhere."

Kacey felt her heart racing, but she maintained her composure. "I was walking around, but then I went to see Jasmine."

"…Are you sure?" asked Kayden.

Kacey nodded. She then went up to her room.

Kayden stared where Kacey stood and said, "I still don't know."

Like I said yesterday, my nephew is going to be here this weekend, but I'm not sure if he's coming today or tomorrow yet. If he's coming tomorrow, I'll try to write and post the next chapter before he gets here

One day, Kayden was in the house, sitting on the couch watching TV. Two weeks have gone by since he and the Bros. questioned Kacey. Today, Mario and Luigi had to go to Peach's castle to fix a plumbing issue. And Kacey…

"Kacey's gone again." Kayden muttered after letting out a sigh.

He and Kacey stayed back at home while Mario and Luigi left. However, Kacey left a few minutes after them.

"I wonder what Kacey's doing. I should've gone with her." Kayden sighed again. "Maybe I should go look for her."

In Bowser's castle, Kacey was sitting in Wendy's room with Wendy, Jasmine, and Tiana. The entire time though, she thought about Roy.

"Oh man. This feeling isn't going away." She thought.

Then, Kacey began to imagine herself kissing Roy, making her face turn red. Wendy looked over at her and noticed this.

"…Are you ok?" Wendy asked her.

Kacey snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Wendy. "I'm fine." She replied.

"No you're not." Wendy said.

"Huh?"

Tiana looked at her and remarked, "Kacey, your face is really red."

Kacey responded, "Oh… Really?"

Jasmine added, "It's been happening a lot. Everyone's been noticing it."

"Oh. Yeah. Now I remember the others mentioning it."

Then, Jasmine said, "I've also noticed that you've been daydreaming a lot more."

"…Oh." Kacey repeated.

Wendy scooted closer to Kacey. "Come on, Kacey. Tell us the truth."

"What's going on?" asked Jasmine. "We promise we won't judge you if something's wrong."

Kacey took a deep breath. She looked at the girls and explained, "Well… It started after the party in Sarasaland."

The girls nodded, letting her continue. Kacey explained how she and Roy had fun dancing and talking at the party. Then, Kacey brought up the moment where they almost kissed. The others gasped and stared at her in shock.

"You… you two—" Wendy began to ask.

Kacey cut her off. "Yes." She then continued, "Ever since then, I've been feeling so weird." Kacey adjusted her hat. "Like, he's always on my mind, my face heats up, my heart races. Heck, I even felt annoyed when Austin asked if he'd date Pom Pom!" Kacey groaned and covered her face. Then, she stated, "…I really like Roy."

Wendy arched an eyebrow. "Like… or love?"

Kacey replied, "No… Yes? Maybe?" She sighed. "I don't know. But, I really do like him a lot."

Tiana frowned slightly. "But, he's a bully."

"I know." Kacey answered. "But, I know that he can change."

Tiana adjusted her glasses. "You do?"

Kacey nodded and replied, "Yeah. I'm sure of it."

Chuckling, Tiana responded, "Well, I wish he'd hurry up."

The girls continued to talk and had a really good time. Minutes later, Jasmine thought about Kacey sneaking over to the Koopa Kingdom a lot, and she had a strange feeling in her stomach.

"Kacey," Jasmine looked at her. "Mario and the others still don't know that you've been coming here, right?"

"Nope." replied Kacey.

Jasmine slowly nodded. "Ok. I just… I dunno. I got a weird feeling right now about it."

Kacey smiled softly. "Don't worry, Jazzy. Everything's gonna be alright."

"W-What if the Mario Bros. find out you've been coming here?" Tiana asked.

Kacey waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, they won't. I'm making sure that won't happen."

"Where is she?" Kayden wondered as he walked around Toad Town.

He left the house to look for Kacey. Unfortunately, he didn't see her so far. Kayden turned to his right and spotted a Toad with mint green spots and wearing an orange shirt with a mushroom on it, resting by a tree. Kayden walked over to him. The Toad opened his eyes and smiled at Kayden.

"Hi, Kayden!" The Toad greeted.

"Hi, Battle T." Kayden replied. "Have you seen my sister anywhere?"

Battle T. answered, "Nope. Sorry."

Kayden sighed. "Ok. Thanks anyway."

After walking away from Battle T., Kayden decided to check another town.

Jasmine and Tiana headed back home after hanging out with Wendy. Jasmine asked Kacey if she was ready to go, but Kacey shook her head and stated that she wanted to stay a little longer. Wendy and Kacey were still in Wendy's room later on. The two girls continued to have fun. Right now, they were talking about going to the mall one day.

Roy walked past the room, which caught Kacey's attention. Wendy noticed this and smirked.

"You can go on." She whispered.

Kacey smiled sheepishly. "Hehe. I'll talk to you later, Wen."

She then stood up and walked out of Wendy's room. She ran, catching up to Roy.

"Hey, Roy! Wanna play some video games?" She asked him.

Roy chuckled. "Sure."

The two then went to his room.

Afterwards, the two finished playing video games and decided to watch TV for a little bit. Roy flipped through the channels until he found an action show. As they watched the show, Kacey glanced at Roy and blushed.

"Wow. He really is cute." She whispered to herself.

Roy heard this and his heart pounded in his chest. He put on a smirk and said, "Thanks."

Kacey's face turned deep red as she looked at him. "Y-You heard me!?" She shouted.

Chuckling, Roy replied, "Yeah." When he saw Kacey staring at the floor, he spoke again. "Hey. Don't worry about it. You're hot."

Now both of them began to blush.

Roy thought to himself, "Why did you call her hot, Roy!? You were supposed to call her pretty or cute!"

Kacey giggled. "Am I really?"

"Y-Yeah. You are." Roy answered.

Kacey reddened even more. Roy smiled softly as she covered her red face.

Then, Roy chuckled again and said, "Ya know, I still find it crazy that we met. I mean, at first I thought you were just some random chick from my dream, but… well, you're real."

Kacey glanced up at him. "Huh? In your dream?"

Roy's eyes grew wide. He then said, "Oh… I, uh, guess I never told ya." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Months ago, before we met, I had a dream about ya."

"Oh really?" Kacey replied. "What happened in your dream?"

Roy looked at her. "Ya really wanna know?"

Kacey nodded. "Yeah. I'm kinda curious now."

Roy took off his sunglasses, revealing his blue eyes to Kacey for the very first time before rubbing them with the back of his hand.

"Whoa, pretty…" She thought.

He put his sunglasses back on. "Well, ok."

Roy then recalled how the dream went. The two of them meeting for the first time, dating, and even getting engaged. Kacey listened to every single thing that Roy told her, her face turning red once again.

Once he was finished, Roy then said, "Yeah. That's what my dream was about."

"Wow…" Kacey whispered. She looked up at him again. "What about now?"

Roy replied, "Whaddaya mean?"

Kacey remarked, "You felt that way about me in your dream." She moved a strand of hair out of her face and asked, "Do you still feel that way? Do you… love me?"

"I… well, y-yeah." Roy said.

As he turned his gaze away from her, Kacey smiled. He then said, "I know, it's kinda weird…"

Kacey then hugged him, making Roy gasp. "It's not weird at all." She let him go and said, "Honestly, I… I think I love you too."

Roy's eyes got bigger. He opened his mouth, but he couldn't find the words. Kacey chuckled and her cheeks turned pink.

Then, she explained, "Ever since I first met you, I thought you were interesting. You're really cool, strong, confident, and a really great friend." Kacey blushed more and continued. "But, ever since the party, my heart races and my face turns red whenever I'm around you or even if I think about you!"

Roy and Kacey stared at each other. Was this actually happening? Kacey loved him?

"Well… I guess those plumbers wouldn't be too happy about that." Roy finally said.

Kacey took his hands and replied, "Roy, you're an amazing guy. Sure, you can be mean and a big bully at times. But, I know that deep down, you can be a big sweetheart. You just need to show that side of yourself."

Roy felt his face heating up. Kacey really thought that way about him? This… This was…

Roy slowly leaned in closer to Kacey. Kacey followed suit. And then, they finally kissed. Kacey wrapped her arms around him and Roy pulled her closer. A few minutes later, they pulled away and stared at one another, both of their faces red.

Kacey chuckled. "Man. We should've kissed back in Sarasaland!"

"You weren't weirded out by me being a Koopa?" Roy wondered.

Smiling, Kacey replied, "I don't care that you're a Koopa. You're perfect."

Roy smiled softly and his heart melted. He then glanced at his clock and looked back at Kacey. "Man, it's getting late. You should go back before those plumbers and your brother notice you're not in the kingdom."

Roy started to stand up, but Kacey gently pulled him back down and hugged his arm. She smirked and said, "I think the guys can wait a few minutes." She kissed Roy on the cheek. "I wanna kiss my boyfriend some more."

"Boyfriend?" Roy repeated, blushing again.

Kacey kissed his cheek again. "Yeah." She blinked. "Unless… you wanna go back to dating random girls?"

"No!" Roy quickly exclaimed. "No, I'm done with that."

Kacey smiled. "Good!"

She gave him a kiss on the cheek once again.

In the Mushroom Kingdom, Kayden ran out of Goomba Village and made his way back to Toad Town.

He looked around and said, "Oh my God! Oh, where is she?!"

Kayden had been looking for Kacey all day, but he hadn't found her yet. He was beginning to get worried. He made it to Peach's castle and the two guards let him inside.

Kayden yelled, "Mario! Luigi!"

Finally, he found the Bros. and the princess in the living room.

Mario noticed him. "Oh, hey, Kayden! We were just on our way…" Mario then saw the worried expression on the boy's face. He and Luigi furrowed their brows.

Luigi asked, "Kayden? What's wrong?"

Kayden replied, "It's Kacey! I can't find her! She left out earlier and hasn't been back!"

"Oh no!" Peach exclaimed. "What if Bowser kidnapped her?"

Luigi responded, "Bowser? But, we didn't see him. Or the Koopa Troop."

Mario got to his feet. "Alright, let's just stay calm." He looked at Kayden. "Kayden, why don't you call Kacey? Maybe she's somewhere in the kingdom and you missed her?"

Kayden nodded and pulled out his phone.

Hi! I was too tired to work on this chapter yesterday, but here it is!

Kayden clicked on Kacey's name and then pressed the call button. Then, the phone rang. After ringing several times, it went to voicemail. Frowning, Kayden called her again. This time though, Kacey sent him to voicemail. Kayden blinked, taken aback.

"Did… did she just…?" He looked up at the others. "Ok, I don't know what's going on."

Luigi stood up. "Alright. Let's check the nearby kingdoms. If she's not in any of them then… we can go to the Koopa Kingdom."

Mario and Kayden nodded in response.

"Good luck, you guys." said Peach. "I'm sure you'll find Kacey fast!"

Kayden and the Bros. said goodbye to Peach and hurried out of the castle.

The three decided to check the Flower Kingdom first. They asked a few Poplins if they've seen Kacey. The Poplins said no. They then went to the castle and asked Prince Florian. Again, the answer was no. The three sighed, said goodbye, and left the kingdom.

Mario suggested that they check the Flower Country. Luigi and Kayden agreed and followed him through a few Warp Pipes. When they arrived, they immediately looked around. So far, they didn't see her. As they walked through the kingdom, Mario and Luigi spotted a familiar blue haired prince up ahead.

"Prince Haru!" Mario called out as he ran towards him.

"Mario, wait for us!" Luigi exclaimed as he and Kayden tried catching up to him.

Prince Haru turned around and smiled when he saw them. "Mario! Luigi! It's been so long!" He then noticed Kayden. "Oh, and who is this?"

Luigi said, "This is Kayden. His sister, Kacey, is missing, and we were wondering if you've seen her anywhere?"

He then described what Kacey looked like. Haru frowned a little once Luigi was finished.

"I'm sorry. I haven't seen her."

"Oh. Thanks anyways." Luigi replied.

Prince Haru said goodbye to them and they headed back in the direction of the Mushroom Kingdom.

The trio checked more surrounding kingdoms, but they still didn't find Kacey. Kayden frowned as they stood in the middle of Desert Land.

Then, Mario remarked, "I guess we'll go and check Bowser's place."

"What if she's not there?" Kayden asked.

Besides their aunt and uncle, Kacey was the only family that Kayden had left. Oh… If they don't find her soon…

Luigi then replied, "Then we'll keep on looking. I know we'll find her!"

They turned around and made their way back to Grass Land.

Kayden thought to himself, "Kacey, I hope you're alright."

Back in Roy's room, he and Kacey were still kissing. Kacey giggled at Roy's red face.

"You're adorable like this." She told him.

Blushing more, Roy exclaimed, "What?! I-I'm not… whatever!"

Kacey chuckled and kissed him again. She smiled softly and looked over at the clock. Then, she gasped.

"Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed. "I should've been back in the Mushroom Kingdom an hour ago!"

Roy rubbed the back of his neck. "Hehe. I guess we weren't keeping track of the time."

Kacey sighed. "Maybe I should've answered Kayden's calls. I need to go now."

Roy replied, "Yeah. They're probably out looking for ya."

Roy and Kacey stood up. Before Kacey left the room, she gave Roy a hug. Roy returned the hug and smiled, his tail wagging. Finally! He couldn't believe that this was actually happening! Kacey loved him and wanted to be his girlfriend in real life! He's not dreaming anymore.

Kacey then said, "I hope I can see you again soon."

"Maybe I can try to visit the Mushroom Kingdom." Roy replied.

Roy and Kacey held onto each other and gazed into each other's eyes. Before they could share another kiss, they heard a loud crash.

"What was that?!" Kacey yelled.

Roy grabbed his wand. "I dunno."

The two of them ran out of his room.

Mario, Luigi, and Kayden stormed into the castle. A few Koopa Troopa soldiers prepared to fight, but the trio quickly stomped on their heads.

"Where's my sister?!" Kayden yelled.

The Troopas groaned in response. The trio then made their way to the throne room. They found Bowser and Clawdia inside when they got there.

Clawdia gasped. "What are you doing here!?"

Mario took a step closer. "We're looking for our friend, Kacey. Have you seen a human girl anywhere?"

Bowser said, "Kacey? Of course she's here."

The three gasped. Kayden then asked, "How do you know my sister? You kidnapped her, didn't you!?"

Bowser glared at them. Growling, he said, "You three burst into MY CASTLE and accuse me of something I didn't even do!?"

"You're lying!" replied Kayden. "Why else would Kacey be here? She wouldn't have come here on her own!"

Clawdia parted her lips to speak. Before she could get the chance though, the guys rushed over to Bowser, attacking him.

"Stop! Stop it!" Clawdia shouted at them.

Unfortunately, they didn't listen to her and carried on fighting.

The rest of the Koopalings and Bowser Jr. ran ahead of Roy and Kacey.

"What's going on down here?" Larry wondered.

"Are we under attack or something?" Junior asked.

Soon, everyone got to the throne room. They gasped when they saw the trio fighting Bowser. They also saw Clawdia trying her best to stop them, struggling to pull Bowser away.

Kacey gasped and shouted, "Guys! What are you doing?!"

The three stopped fighting when they heard her voice. Luigi looked at her with a smile. "Kacey! You're ok!"

Kayden ran up to his sister and hugged her tightly. He then exclaimed, "I was so worried about you!" Kayden noticed Roy standing next to Kacey and glared at him. Still glaring at the Koopaling, he asked Kacey, "Did they hurt you?"

"No, Kayden." Kacey replied.

"I can't believe they kidnapped you!" said Kayden.

Bowser groaned as Clawdia helped him sit up. He then yelled, "We didn't kidnap her this time!"

"Wait." Mario then asked, "What do you mean 'this time'?"

Kacey chuckled sheepishly and replied, "Hehe… well, a few months ago, Bowser might've kidnapped me."

"WHAT?!" Luigi exclaimed.

Kayden looked at Roy. "So, I guess he kidnapped you this time."

"I didn't kidnap her!" Roy spat.

Kayden asked, "Why should we believe you?"

"Kayden, he didn't—" Kacey began to say.

Kayden interrupted his sister and said, "Stand back, Kacey! I'll deal with this Koopa!"

"Bro, what are you…?" She started to ask.

Kacey then noticed her brother pulling a Fire Flower out of his pocket and activating it. She gasped when she saw the fireball forming in his hand. Tears formed in Kacey's eyes.

"KAYDEN, STOP!" She screamed.

She took Roy's wand and stood in front of him. Then, Kacey shot a purple energy blast at her brother, causing him to hit a wall. Everyone in the room gasped at what they had just witnessed. Kacey dropped Roy's wand and began to cry. Mario and Luigi ran over to Kayden and helped him stand up.

Kayden looked at his sister with shock, disbelief, and anger in his eyes. He glared at her. "Kacey… Are you crazy?!"

"I-I didn't want you to hurt Roy." Kacey cried.

Kayden asked, "Wha… Why do you seem like you care so much about him?!"

Kacey replied, "He's my friend and… w-well, he's now my—"

"You're FRIENDS with him?!" Kayden exclaimed, cutting her off again.

Kacey hesitated for a second. "Yes…"

Roy frowned at being called Kacey's friend. She looked back at him apologetically.

"Don't worry." She whispered to him. "I'll… I'll explain it to them."

Clawdia looked at them and said, "I think you all should head home now."

Mario nodded. "Yeah. We can talk about this more later."

Mario, Luigi, and Kayden headed towards the entrance of the throne room. Luigi looked back at Kacey and softly said, "Come on, Kacey."

"But… but I—"

Kayden stopped her and said, "Let's go!"

Kacey sighed. She looked back at Roy before following the others.

Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Kacey sat on the couch with the Bros. and Kayden standing in front of her. Kayden held a pack of ice on his head (which made Kacey feel bad for hurting him).

"Why were you at Bowser's castle?" Luigi finally asked.

"I wanted to see Roy." Kacey replied as she played with a strand of her hair.

Mario gently asked, "Kacey, have you been going to his castle this whole time?"

Kacey stared at the floor. She finally replied, "…Yes."

"What?!" Kayden asked. "Didn't Mario and Luigi tell you to stay away from them?"

Kacey looked up and replied, "I know, but I got to know them while there and they're not so bad."

"But they're evil." said Mario.

"Especially Roy." Luigi added. "He's probably the worst out of Bowser's kids."

Kacey looked at them. "They can change. Especially Roy. It would just take some time though."

"Why are you defending Roy so much?" asked Kayden.

"I told you before, he's my friend." Kacey stated. "But… that wasn't the whole truth."

"Huh?" Luigi asked. "What is the whole truth?"

Kacey took a deep breath. She looked away from them all and finally responded, "Before you guys arrived, Roy and I were talking and, well, to make a long story short… he's my boyfriend now."

The three stared at her in shock.

"Are you insane?!" Kayden exclaimed.

"But, he's evil and a bully." Luigi stated.

"He can change." Kacey replied. "He may be a bully, but he's always been nice to me. And he loves me too." Kacey giggled and added, "He's been in love with me for the longest time now."

Kayden shook his head. "I know we've seen plenty of them, but it's still surprising that humans and Koopas date each other and get married."

Kacey smiled. "It's amazing! Jasmine is dating Ludwig too, and they've been dating for two years!"

"What?! Two years?!" Mario shouted.

Kacey's eyes widened. "Oh no! I told her secret!" She thought. "Oh, I hope Jazzy won't be too upset with me."

Luigi then asked, "That guy… Lewis… that was Ludwig?"

"I guess so." Mario said.

Kayden looked at his sister. "Kacey, what if he's lying to you?" He wondered.

"What? He's not." Kacey responded.

Kayden replied, "He could just be using you. Or he could just be taking advantage of you until he moves on to another girl."

Kacey quickly jumped up from her seat, tears welling up in her eyes again. "D-Don't say that!"

Mario frowned. "Kayden does have a good point, Kacey. Roy could be using you for Bowser's next evil plan."

Luigi added, "Or maybe Roy's trying to get you on to the Koopas' side."

Kacey whimpered. Mario and Luigi looked at each other.

Luigi looked back at Kacey and said, "You shouldn't go back there."

"W-Why?" Kacey cried.

Mario replied, "We just don't want you to get hurt."

Kacey shouted, "Roy has never hurt me! None of them have!"

"Kacey, we just want what's best for you." said Luigi.

Kacey bolted upstairs to her room, crying.

Kayden sighed. "She'll be ok."

Kacey slammed her door shut and lay on her bed, sobbing. She buried her head in her arms.

"Mom, Dad, you would listen and understand me, right?" She thought. "Roy and the others aren't that bad!"

Finally, I'm back with a new chapter! I've been kinda busy lately and I was supposed to go to the store with my aunt yesterday, but I waited around and we didn't go. And then I was too tired and annoyed to write and post yesterday lol. But here it is!

Kacey continued to cry in her room. She knew that Bowser was Mario and Luigi's enemy, but Roy and his siblings have never hurt her. They were always so nice to her. She and the Koopas had a great time when they'd hang out together. Why couldn't the guys understand that?

Just then, Kacey felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. When she took it out, she saw that Roy had sent her a text.

"Hey, you ok?" His text said.

Kacey smiled a little. She replied back, "I will be." She sent him another text. "How's your dad?"

Roy remarked, "Eh, he's fine. Just eating a few 1-Up Mushrooms."

Kacey then said, "I'm sorry about them. Especially my brother."

"It's cool." Roy responded back.

Kacey wiped away her tears. She then sent him another text. "I don't know what to do, Roy. They don't want me hanging out with you. I doubt they'll let me date you."

Roy thought it over. Was there anything they could do?

Kacey then sent another message. "Oh. I gotta apologize to Ludwig and Jasmine. Mario and Luigi know about them because of me."

Roy chuckled to himself. He replied back, "I'm sure they won't be too upset with ya."

Kacey giggled. A moment later, she asked him, "So, what do we do?"

Roy and Kacey thought for a moment.

Finally, Roy answered, "I dunno."

"Me neither." Kacey replied back. "I still wanna see you guys."

Roy didn't respond for a few minutes. Then, Kacey said, "Well, I could try sneaking out of the Mushroom Kingdom again."

"Are ya sure?" asked Roy.

Kacey responded, "Yeah. I'm sure I'll figure out a way."

The group went to Peach's castle the next day. While her friends talked, Kacey began to zone out.

Peach then asked, "Kacey? Are you ok?"

Kacey looked at her and replied, "…Yes."

"You've been going to Bowser's castle this whole time?" Daisy asked.

Kacey didn't reply.

"Going there can be dangerous." Peach warned her.

"None of them have ever hurt me." said Kacey.

Kayden scoffed and replied, "But they could've."

Kacey didn't look at him. She then said, "…Maybe not all of them, but I know Roy can change."

"Are you sure?" Daisy asked.

Kacey responded, "Yes. It would take a while though. But I know he can."

"We'll see." Kayden remarked.

Kacey rolled her eyes at him.

Daisy then chuckled and said, "Y'know, Kacey, you kinda remind me of Princess Krystal."

"Princess Krystal?" Kacey and Kayden repeated.

Daisy nodded and replied, "Mhm. She's the princess of the Crystal Kingdom! Ya see, two years ago, we were invited to her birthday party. Well, after the party was over, Bowser and his entire family invaded. After everything that happened, Krystal wanted to bake the kids a cake."

Peach giggled. "I remember that."

Kayden raised an eyebrow. "Huh? Why?"

Daisy replied, "She said that they were just following their parents' orders. She believed that there's good in them."

Kacey smiled. "See? Even a princess thinks so!"

Kacey let out a sigh as she sat outside of the house the following day. It was a really nice day today. She felt the cool breeze on her face and smiled. Kacey looked up at the sky and saw a few white clouds.

"Hmm. Should I try heading to the Koopa Kingdom?" Kacey wondered.

Slowly, Kacey stood up and and walked away from the house. As she got closer to the entrance of Toad Town, she heard a voice ask, "Kacey? Where are you going?"

Kacey froze. She turned around to see one of Peach's guards.

The guard then said, "I hope you're not trying to sneak out of the kingdom, Missy. The Marios asked us to keep an eye on you."

Pouting, Kacey muttered, "Of course they did."

Each time Kacey attempted to leave the Mushroom Kingdom, she got caught by one of Peach's guards. One night, she grumbled as she thought about two of the guards who caught her this afternoon. She picked up her phone and went to the group chat with the Koopalings.

"I keep getting caught." Kacey sent.

"That sucks." Roy texted back.

Lemmy said, "Aw. I wanted to show you my circus tricks."

Kacey gives Lemmy's message a heart. "I hope I can see them soon!" She replied. "Your tricks are so cool!"

"Thanks!" Lemmy said.

Kacey smiled. She then said to them, "Well, I gotta go. Mario and the others are going to play tennis tomorrow."

After the Koopalings said goodbye, everyone got ready for bed.

I was tired yesterday, but here's the next chapter!

The next morning, everyone was getting ready for the day. Right now though, Kacey was sitting on her bed, talking to Jasmine on her phone.

"I'm really sorry for blurting out your and Ludwig's secret."

"Oh, it's alright." said Jasmine. "Ludwig and I aren't upset." She chuckled. "I mean, I guess Mario and Luigi are still shocked by it."

Kacey let out a sigh of relief. "That's good. Well, I'll see you at the game."

The girls said goodbye and hung up. After grabbing her clean clothes, Kacey left her room and went into the bathroom. She closed the bathroom door and prepared to take a shower.

Kayden stretched as he walked out of his room. Just then, he heard Kacey's phone ding. Curious, he went to her room. He walked over to her bed and tapped her phone screen. He saw that Kacey had a text from Roy, but with the fake name, Royale.

"Hey, girly. Have fun at the game."

Kayden growled when he read the message. This needed to stop.

Later on, everyone was now at Mario Stadium. Mario and Luigi were on one team, while Peach and Daisy were on the other. Azalea watched the game with Jasmine, Kacey, and Kayden. Jasmine took a sip of her juice and Azalea and Kayden ate some candy. Kacey got lost in her thoughts as the others watched the match.

"I really feel bad for hurting Kayden. But I really didn't want him to hurt Roy." She sighed softly. "I wish there was a way for me to see him again. Well, at least I can still talk to him and the others on the phone."

Kacey snapped out of her thoughts as she heard the crowd cheering.

"Did you see that shot, Kacey?!" Azalea exclaimed.

Kacey put on a smile and replied, "Oh… yeah."

She looked down at the court and watched the teams as they changed sides.

"I wonder what Roy is doing."

In the Koopa Kingdom, Roy was walking back to the castle after hanging out with his friends in Neo Bowser City. As he made it to the castle, Roy pulled out his phone.

He muttered to himself, "I wonder if Kacey's still at the game."

Roy went to his messages. He clicked on Kacey's name and typed in a text.

"Hey! Still watching the game?"

Roy then sent the message. But… it was strange. His message looked like it went through, but it didn't say that it was delivered. Roy raised an eyebrow. He sent a photo of himself that he recently took. The same thing happened.

Roy then decided to call Kacey. He went to his contacts and clicked on her name. He pressed the call button. The phone rang once before going to voicemail.

Roy stared at his phone. "What the heck…?"

He hurried down the hall and found his siblings in the game room. Wendy noticed the weird look on his face and frowned.

"What's wrong, Roy?" She wondered.

Roy looked at his siblings. "I need you guys to either call or text Kacey. Nothing is going through for me!"

Wendy picked up her phone and sent Kacey a message. Like Roy's, her text message didn't say that it was delivered. Larry tried calling her. Again, the phone rang once before going to voicemail.

Larry frowned. "I wonder what's wrong."

Ludwig looked at them and replied, "…We're blocked."

"What?!" Roy exclaimed.

"Why would Kacey block us?" Lemmy wondered.

"It wasn't Kacey." Roy replied. "It had to be someone else."

The tennis game ended with Peach and Daisy winning. Everyone left Mario Stadium and headed home. Kacey went to her room when they returned and sat on her bed.

"Oh!" She whispered to herself. "I should tell Roy about the game!"

Kacey opened her phone to call him. But then, Kacey arched an eyebrow. Roy's number was gone. And not just his. She scrolled through her contacts and messages and realized that half of them were gone. Mainly the Koopalings.

Kacey gasped and screamed. She heard someone running to her room and saw Kayden making his way inside.

"Kacey, what's wrong?" He asked.

"My friends!" She exclaimed. "Their numbers and messages are gone!"

"Oh, you mean those Koopas?" Kayden replied. "I deleted their messages and blocked their numbers."

Kacey gasped again. "You WHAT?! Kayden, why would you do that?"

Kayden remarked, "You already know, Kacey. You shouldn't be talking to those guys. Especially the brute."

Her face burned so hot, it felt like her blood was going to boil. "His name is Roy, and he's not a brute!" She shouted. "I can't believe you'd do that, Kayden! Ugh! I knew I should've put a password on my phone!"

Sighing, Kayden stepped closer to his sister. He placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Look, Kacey. I know you think they're cool, but you gotta listen to what Mario and Luigi say. I mean, they took us in. They're letting us live in their house! If it wasn't for Luigi finding us that night, we'd still be hiding in that abandoned stall in Sarasaland."

Kacey sighed. "I know…"

Kayden pulled her into a hug. "Everything will be ok."

Kacey reluctantly hugged him back. Once they let go, Kayden returned to his room. Kacey looked at her phone with a frown.

"You still didn't have to block them…"

That's it for now! My nephew is coming back this weekend, so I won't be posting tomorrow or Monday. So, I'll see ya next week!

Finally, I'm back with a new chapter!

A few weeks have gone by since the Koopalings were blocked. Today, Roy was in his room, working out. While working out though, his mind was on Kacey. Actually, he thought about her every day. He really wanted to see her again. Roy thought about disguising himself again, but he knew it wouldn't work this time.

"This sucks!" Roy grumbled.

As he continued lifting weights, he heard heavy footsteps outside of the room.

Then, he heard Bowser yell, "Kids! Come to the throne room right now!"

Bowser then ran down the hall. Sighing, Roy set down his dumbbells. He opened his door and walked out of his room. His siblings (with the exception of Ludwig and Iggy) followed suit. They didn't speak to each other as they made their way to the throne room.

When they made it to the throne room, Bowser, Ludwig, and Iggy were waiting for them, along with… two Toads? One was male and the other was female. They both had fair skin, black mushroom caps with purple spots, and black vests with purple lining. The male Toad also wore black gloves, white pants, and black shoes.

The female Toad had long black hair and wore a black dress, black spiked bands on her wrists, and white shoes.

The others arched an eyebrow at them. Wendy looked at Bowser and asked, "Daddy? What's going on? Why are these Toads here?"

Bowser chuckled and replied, "I have a new plan!"

Morton sighed. "To take over the Mushroom Kingdom?"

"Of course!" Bowser said as he grinned.

Lemmy asked, "So… What are these Toads doing here?"

Iggy giggled. "Well, they'll be helping us on this next mission!"

"Really? How?" Larry wondered.

"Well, Iggy and I have recently built a cloning machine." Ludwig explained. "We disguised ourselves as humans and traveled to Petalburg to get some DNA from two random Toads."

Bowser Jr. raised an eyebrow. "Petalburg? Why not the Mushroom Kingdom?"

Iggy responded, "Eh, we did consider it, but Dad thought it'd be better to clone Toads that weren't from there in case Peach or the plumbers saw the real Toads at the same time."

Ludwig then said, "It would've made more sense to make the princess feel safe with familiar faces though…"

Bowser explained, "So, these two, Justin and Jade, will head to the Mushroom Kingdom and blend in with the others. Then, they'll kidnap the princess! The rest of you kids will stay here with me and your mother, and we'll fight Mario together!"

"I dunno about this…" Roy remarked, thinking about Kacey again.

Justin and Jade looked at everyone and smiled. "We'll do our best." They said in unison.

Azalea was visiting the Mushroom Kingdom today. After seeing a few of her friends, like Kid and Sherry, she headed to the Mario Bros.'s house. She knocked on the door when she got there. A minute later, Kacey opened it. Azalea smiled at her.

"Hey, Kacey!" She greeted.

Kacey gave her a small smile. "Hi."

She let her inside. Azalea looked around and realized that Kacey was alone in the house.

"Where are the guys?" She asked.

Kacey replied, "Kayden and the Bros. went with Peach to Chocolate Island. I didn't feel like going."

Azalea and Kacey then sat down on the couch. "Why don't we watch a movie?" Kacey suggested.

"Sure!" Azalea replied.

As Kacey scrolled through the channels, Azalea noticed the frown that was now on her face. She placed a hand on Kacey's shoulder, making her turn to look at her.

"Things will get better soon, Kacey." said Azalea.

Kacey sighed. "I still feel horrible though."

"Like I said, it'll get better." Azalea gave Kacey another smile. "Let's just watch TV. Maybe the movie will take your mind off of everything."

Kacey nodded and found a movie for them to watch. As the movie started, Kacey began to zone out.

"I hope things will get better soon."

I got a cold right now, but I'll try to work on the next chapter tomorrow!

I didn't feel like writing earlier, but I got some energy to write right now! I hope you all enjoy this chapter :)

Junior and the Koopalings were dismissed by Bowser and left the throne room. As they walked, Bowser Jr. looked up at Ludwig and Iggy.

"I still can't believe you guys made a cloning machine!" He said.

"And made two clones!" added Wendy.

Ludwig chuckled. "When Iggy told me the idea he had, I knew we had to get it done as soon as possible!"

"So, what do we do with these guys now?" asked Morton.

Iggy responded, "Well, since the invasion won't be until a couple of weeks, we're gonna help them train and teach them about Peach and the Mario Bros."

Morton nodded. "That makes sense."

Roy kept a straight face as he walked, but his heart fluttered.

"Maybe I can see Kacey that day."

Bowser and Clawdia sat on their thrones in the throne room the following day. While walking down the hallway, Bowser called for Justin and Jade to join them. Three minutes later, the two Toads arrived and bowed.

"Good morning, Your Majesties." The two greeted.

Clawdia smiled. "So, these are the two Toads that Ludwig and Iggy cloned! Wow! They're incredible!"

Chuckling, Bowser replied, "Yeah! They'll definitely be useful for the invasion!"

Justin stepped forward and asked, "So, King Bowser, you really want to invade this Mushroom Kingdom?"

Bowser nodded. "Of course!"

Jade tilted her head. "Well, why do you want to?"

Bowser stood from his throne. "Power!"

"Power?" The Toads repeated.

"Yeah!" Bowser replied. "Doing that, I can get whatever I want!" He walked around the throne as he talked. "Conquering other kingdoms is thrilling and awesome!" He looked back at the two and added, "And I got a feelin' that this mission will work even better than my last few."

Clawdia chuckled and remarked, "I'm sure it will, dear."

Bowser and Clawdia then began to explain to the Toads about Princess Peach and who the Mario Bros. were. Once they were finished, Bowser instructed them to go outside and train with their kids and the other minions. After bowing, Justin and Jade then left the throne room.

As they walked away from the throne room, Jade said, "Huh. Power… Thrilling too."

"Interesting…" said Justin.

Later on, the kids and the Koopa Troop were still outdoors training. Justin and Jade were each given wands to practice magic spells and attacks. The two did their best to shoot energy blasts at the targets. Justin grinned when he hit a target in the middle. Jade did the same with another target.

"Whoa!" Iggy exclaimed. "You guys are improving fast!"

"Thanks." Jade said as she shot another target.

"We said we'd do our best." Justin added.

Iggy giggled. "Oh man! Now I'm actually excited for this invasion!"

Soon, the training ended for the day and the Koopa Troop headed back inside to rest. Justin and Jade walked over to Ludwig and Iggy before they could follow their siblings inside.

"Hey, um, is it ok if we explore the kingdom for a bit before we rest?" Justin asked.

Ludwig nodded. "Oh sure."

After that, Ludwig and Iggy went inside. Justin and Jade walked away from the castle and looked around at the different shops and buildings in the Koopa Kingdom.

"Huh. This place is kinda nice." Jade remarked.

Justin scoffed. "Except for the lava and smoke."

Jade chuckled. "Yeah." She glanced at the ground as they walked. "Y'know, I can't stop thinking about what Bowser said before."

"Me neither." Justin replied. "Power… Control."

The two then made their way out of the Koopa Kingdom, wanting to explore the areas nearby.

One day, Roy sighed as he headed inside of the castle. He tried calling Kacey, hoping that she'd answer. But, she didn't.

"Those stupid plumbers…" Roy grumbled.

As he walked by the throne room, Roy spotted Justin and Jade inside. They were whispering to each other. Roy paused and raised an eyebrow.

"What are they doing?" He wondered.

He saw Jade giggling as Justin whispered something to her. What was going on?

Roy walked inside. "Hey. What are you guys talking about?"

The two looked up at him. "Oh, Prince Roy! Jade and I were talking about the upcoming mission." Justin replied.

Jade nodded. "Yeah! We can't wait to do our part!"

Roy stared at them for a moment. Their smiles…. it gave him a weird vibe.

"Uh… ok." He finally said. "Well, I'm going to the gym."

After that, Roy turned around and left the throne room.

Roy finished his workout an hour later and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. When he got there, he thought back to Justin and Jade. They seemed weird, even though they were clones. Roy shook his head.

"It's probably nothing."

He then turned on the water. Maybe he was imagining things. Justin and Jade are still new to the world. They're probably still adjusting.

As the weeks went by, Roy continued to notice the strange behaviors of Justin and Jade. The two would whisper to each other a lot. They even had those weird smiles on their faces when he'd see them. What was going on?

He entered the game room, where the rest of his siblings were.

Lemmy leaped off of his ball and said, "Y'know, I'm actually excited about this mission!"

"Me too!" said Wendy.

Roy grumbled as he took a seat.

"What's wrong?" Wendy asked him.

"I dunno about those two Toads…" Roy replied.

Ludwig arched an eyebrow. "What? What's wrong with them?"

Roy responded, "I dunno. I just get a weird feeling whenever I see 'em."

Iggy chuckled. "Ah, it's probably nothing."

"Maybe it's because they're Toads that work for us instead of Princess Peach." Junior remarked.

"I dunno what it is, but it's not that!" Roy retorted.

"Well, has anyone else noticed anything strange?" Ludwig asked.

"I haven't." said Iggy.

Morton scratched his head. "Me neither."

Roy groaned as the others also said that they haven't seen anything. Wendy looked over at him again.

"Maybe you're just imagining things, Roy." She said. "I'm sure those two are acting a little bit different because they're getting used to the world."

Roy growled. "Whatever."

The next day, Roy headed to his room after talking to a few members of the Koopa Troop. Justin and Jade were among the group. So far, they were pretty normal.

Roy thought to himself, "Hm. I'm gonna keep my eyes on them."

He sat on his bed and picked up his phone. He went to his messages and clicked on Kacey's name. He was going to send her a message, but remembered he couldn't. Roy growled and sat his phone next to him. He glared at the floor.

"I need to talk to her!" He said to himself.

Two weeks went by and the two Toads continued to act normal. Larry chuckled as he, Roy, and a few of their other siblings sat in the dining hall, eating snacks.

He looked at Roy and said, "It must've been in your head, bro. Jade and Justin seem alright to me."

Roy let out a "hmph" and took a bite of his cupcake.

Wendy stood up. "Yeah. I don't know why you were so paranoid before."

"I'm not paranoid!" Roy shouted.

Wendy shrugged. "Ok then. Well, I'm gonna head back to my room now."

She then left the dining hall. Roy took another bite of his cupcake.

"I ain't crazy!" He thought. "I know Kacey would believe me if she were here."

Hi! I finally finished this next chapter!

Finally, after weeks of training and planning, the day of the kidnapping mission arrived. Everyone in Bowser's castle was getting ready for it. The Koopa Troop were stretching and practicing a few moves before they leave. Bowser and Clawdia stood in front of Justin and Jade.

Bowser looked at the two and asked, "So, you guys know what to do?"

Jade nodded. "Yes, Lord Bowser!"

"We head to the Mushroom Kingdom, blend in with the other Toads, and nab the princess!" Justin explained.

Bowser grinned. "Good! Now, get moving!"

The two Toads bowed, turned around, and made their way out of the Koopa Kingdom. Jade giggled as they got farther away from the castle.

"This is going to be great!"

Justin and Jade eventually reached the Mushroom Kingdom. They looked around the beautiful town and saw some humans and Toads out today. They all seemed to be in a good mood.

"So, this is the Mushroom Kingdom." Jade muttered.

Justin looked ahead and gasped. Up ahead was Princess Peach's castle.

"Alright, there it is!" He said. "Let's go!"

Jade nodded and followed her partner.

Back in Bowser's castle, Bowser and his family waited in the large throne room for the Toads to return with the princess. Morton yawned and stretched his arms.

"I wonder if Justin and Jade'll do their job." He said.

"Of course they will!" Ludwig replied.

Smiling, Iggy added, "Yeah! They've improved fast over time. I know they can!"

Roy sighed. "I hope Kacey will be alright…"

After walking down the path, Justin and Jade finally arrived at the large castle. Two Toad guards were standing outside of it.

"Ok. Let's do this." Justin whispered.

The two approached the guards. They looked at them, smiling.

"Hello!" Justin greeted. "We're here to see Princess Peach!"

"May we go inside and speak with her?" asked Jade.

The first guard tilted his head to the side. "Do you have an appointment?"

Jade stepped forward, a nervous smile on her face. "Not exactly… We just have an important message to deliver to her personally."

The guards exchanged a glance. "Sorry," the second guard said. "The princess is out right now. She left earlier this morning."

Justin's fake smile twitched slightly. "Out… where?"

"Royal business." The first guard answered. "She should be back before sunset."

Jade clasped her hands together innocently. "Oh, that's too bad. Do you know if we could wait inside?"

The first guard replied, "Afraid not. Castle policy."

For a brief second, irritation flashed across Justin's face. But, he quickly forced another smile.

"That's alright. We'll come back later."

The guards nodded politely as the two Toads turned and walked away.

When they were out of earshot, Jade whispered, "Well… now what?"

Justin glanced back at the castle, his expression darkening. "We wait."

Jade sighed. "I guess I'll inform Lord Bowser about the delay."

Peach returned to the kingdom later on with Daisy, Jasmine and Kacey. Today, Peach and Daisy were visiting the king of Water Land and brought the girls with them.

Peach looked at the others and asked, "What should we do now?"

Jasmine shrugged. "I'm not sure."

"You should throw a party at your castle this time!" said Daisy.

Peach chuckled. "Hmm. I'll think about it."

She waved to a few Toads that walked past them. Then, Peach and Jasmine noticed two Toads that they didn't recognize. They were sitting on a rock near the castle.

"Huh? Who are they?" asked Peach.

Jasmine replied, "I was going to ask the same thing."

Peach began to walk over to the strangers, the others following close behind her. Peach gave the two Toads a smile.

"Excuse me?" Peach said, getting their attention.

Both Toads looked up and grinned at her.

"Oh! Princess Peach! We've been waiting for you!" Jade said.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Peach answered. "I hope you two didn't wait too long." She gave them another smile. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

Justin said, "Well, we actually wanted to give you something!"

"A present? How sweet! What is it?" Peach replied.

"Close your eyes." Jade responded.

Peach giggled as she covered her eyes. Just then, Justin pulled out his wand and trapped Peach inside of a magical bubble. Peach dropped her hands to her sides and her eyes widened. Her friends gasped and stared at the Toads.

"W-What's going on?! Let me out!" Peach screamed.

"What are you doing?!" Daisy cried out.

Justin laughed as Jade pulled out a green walkie talkie. "What does it look like? We're kidnapping the princess!"

Jade pressed a button on the walkie talkie and said, "We got the princess, Lord Bowser! We're on our way back!"

"Lord Bowser!?" Peach and Daisy repeated in unison.

Kacey looked at them and asked, "H-How could Toads be working for Bowser?! I thought all Toads were nice!"

Justin smirked. "We're not normal Toads."

After that, Justin, Jade, and Peach disappeared before the others could do anything.

"Oh no…" Daisy looked at the girls. "We have to tell Mario and Luigi!"

Jasmine and Kacey nodded. The three ran through Toad Town until they reached the house. Daisy began banging on the front door. A second later, Mario opened it.

He began to ask, "Daisy? Is everything alr—"

"Peach got kidnapped!" Daisy exclaimed, cutting him off.

Mario's eyes grew wide. Luigi and Kayden hurried over after hearing what Daisy said.

Mario then said, "Alright, everyone! Let's use that Warp Cannon instead of going the usual way!"

The others nodded and they left the house. As they made their way to Grass Land and grabbed power-ups and items, Kacey began to think.

"Roy…"

The group quickly arrived in the Koopa Kingdom. Kacey looked around and noticed that the gates that blocked off the lava were currently down, like the Koopas told her before. Two Koopa Troopa guards in the area prepared to fight. Using a Fire Flower, Mario hurled fireballs at them. Both Koopa Troopas were knocked down.

They ran through the town until they arrived at the castle. Mario threw two more fireballs, knocking down the guards standing in front of the front doors. After that, they entered the castle. As everyone walked down the hall, Kacey watched as her brother and friends fought more minions. She frowned when she saw Jasmine stomping on a Goomba.

A Koopa Troopa charged towards Kacey. Kacey looked at him and gasped. Kayden ran over and stomped on the Koopa Troopa. He then kicked the shell aside, knocking down more Goombas.

Kacey looked at her brother. "Th-Thanks, Kayden."

Kayden smiled at her and the two followed the others. They then made it to the entrance of the throne room. Kacey played with a strand of her hair. Roy and his family were on the other side of the doors. On one hand, she was so excited to finally see Roy again after so long. On the other hand… she had to fight the Koopas. Her friends. Her boyfriend.

Kacey looked over at Jasmine. "Jasmine." She whispered.

"Yes, Kacey?" Jasmine whispered back.

Kacey responded, "I… We can't fight them. They're our friends."

Jasmine sighed and frowned. She then replied, "I know. I don't want to fight them either. Especially Ludwig. But we have no choice."

Kacey frowned again. Jasmine smiled and whispered to her, "Don't worry. I know the others won't be too upset if you do fight them."

Mario pushed open the doors and everyone hurried inside. Along with the Koopa family and more minions, Peach was there, inside of a cage near Bowser. Peach smiled when she saw her friends.

"Guys! Thank goodness you made it! Please help me!" She called out to them.

"Bowser! Let Peach go!" yelled Daisy.

When his eyes landed on the princess of Sarasaland, Bowser's eyes grew wide and he began to sweat a little. "Daisy?! What are you doing here?" He asked.

Daisy retorted, "You had those crazy Toads kidnap my friend right in front of me! Of course I'm here!"

Bowser glanced over at his children. With a cruel smile on his face, Bowser Jr. threw Bob-Ombs at the group. Kacey shrieked and jumped out of the way like the others. Luigi took out a Fire Flower and began throwing fireballs at Bowser, Morton, and Wendy. Kacey stepped back and watched as everyone fought.

"I can't do it…" She thought.

Justin and Jade stood outside of the throne room, watching everything. It's been a few minutes since the battle started, and so far, they couldn't tell who was winning. Jade sighed in annoyance.

"How long is this gonna take?" She wondered.

"Be patient." Justin replied. "It'll be over soon."

Sighing again, Jade continued to watch the fight with Justin.

As Mario jumped on Ludwig's head, Jade thought to herself, "This plan better work."

Kayden stomped on a Koopa Paratroopa twice and flung the shell at Bowser. He looked over at his sister and saw that she wasn't helping them.

"Kacey, why are you just standing there?" He asked her. "Help us fight these Koopas!"

"Kayden, I can't fight them!" She replied.

"Yes you can!" Kayden responded. He then noticed Roy preparing to fight Luigi. Kayden took out a Fire Flower and hit Roy with a fireball.

Roy flinched. Kayden continued throwing more fireballs at the burly Koopaling. Eventually, Roy fell down to the floor.

"ROY!" Kacey screamed. She began to run over to him, but her brother grabbed her arm.

"Kacey, no!" Kayden said.

Kacey glared at him. "Let me go."

"Why aren't you listening to what Mario and Luigi said?" He asked.

Kacey exclaimed, "Why can't you understand that I love him?!" As Kayden slowly let her go, Kacey sighed. "I'm really sorry for what happened the last time we were here. But I need to help him!"

Kacey then turned around.

"But Kacey, you can't!" Kayden called out to her.

Kacey ignored him and walked over to Roy. When she got closer, Kacey knelt down and gave Roy a sad smile.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Y-Yeah." Roy replied.

She reached into her pocket and took out a 1-Up Mushroom. "Here. Take this."

Roy took the mushroom from her and ate it. Kacey helped him sit up and she gave him a hug.

"I'm so happy to see you again." She whispered.

Roy chuckled. "Me too." He whispered back.

While the others were distracted by watching them, Mario snuck over to Peach and helped her out of the cage. Roy glanced around and noticed the stares that they were getting.

"Uh, y'know everyone's staring at us, right?" He asked Kacey.

Kacey chuckled and replied, "I don't care."

As she let him go, Kacey smiled again. Just then, everyone turned to the entrance when they heard footsteps. They saw Justin and Jade walking inside of the throne room.

"Hey!" Bowser said to them. "Where were you two?! You guys were supposed to be in here helping us!"

The Toads ignored the Koopa King and smiled wickedly at Peach. Justin used his magic again to trap Peach inside of another bubble.

"Hey! Stop!" shouted Kacey.

As she ran towards them, Jade used her wand and placed Kacey inside of the bubble with Peach.

"W-What are you doing?!" Kacey screamed.

"Hey! Let them go!" Mario shouted.

"Finally, you two do something!" Bowser said. "Alright, place them both in the cage this time!"

"Bowser!" Peach and Kacey yelled in unison.

Roy shook his head in disbelief. He didn't care if his father trapped the princess again, but not Kacey. Not again!

Justin laughed. "Trap them in that cage again? No way!"

Bowser stared at him in stunned silence. Then, he snarled. "What?! You two—"

Jade cut him off by saying, "You see Bowser, you inspired us. Taking over a kingdom, having power and control over it. That sounds thrilling!"

"Exactly!" Justin continued. "So, we'll be taking these two, along with both the Mushroom Kingdom AND the Koopa Kingdom!" He chuckled. "I mean, why stop at conquering one kingdom when we can have more?" He then said, "Oh! And some of your minions."

The Koopas gasped. Roy exclaimed, "See? I knew there was somethin' wrong with these stupid clones!"

"Clones?" Kacey said. "So that's what they meant by not being 'normal Toads'."

Bowser stepped closer to them. "You're supposed to be helping me take over the Mushroom Kingdom! You can't have it. And you definitely can't have mine!"

Justin waved his wand, hypnotizing the minions in in the room. Jade used her magic to carry the bubble out of the room.

"Help!" Peach cried out.

Kacey made eye contact with Roy and screamed, "Roy! Help!"

Justin looked at the minions. "C'mon, guys! Follow us!"

The minions saluted and followed the Toads outside. The group ran outside and followed them close behind. The enemies turned left and ran faster, with the others trying to catch up with them. Justin and Jade spotted a Warp Pipe and, along with the minions, jumped down the pipe. The others stopped in front of it.

"Where did they go?" asked Daisy.

"I'm not sure." Mario replied. "But we have to find them!"

Bowser said, "Some of us are going too!"

Mario and his friends blinked and stared at Bowser in confusion. "Why?" Luigi asked.

"Why? Those are my minions." Bowser replied. "I need to get them back here to work for me!" Bowser snorted. "And, those two think they can just take over my kingdom! Not a chance!"

Mario snorted also. "Well, I don't know about getting your minions back, but I guess we could use some help getting the girls back."

"Right!" said Roy. "Especially Kacey!"

Kayden gave him a fierce look. "You don't have to worry about my sister!"

Roy walked closer to him and spat, "Yeah I do. She's my friend and my girlfriend!"

Kayden scoffed. "Whatever. She'll come to her senses eventually."

Before the two could fight, Jasmine got in between them. She looked at them both and said, "Look, I know you two hate each other. But just TRY to get along so that we can get then back." She sighed and added, "Besides, Kacey wouldn't want you guys fighting again."

Both teens sighed. After a moment, they both said, "…Fine."

Hello everyone! I was watching my nephew for the weekend, so I wasn't able to write. But he went back home an hour ago and my family is out shopping, so I had some time to write! I hope you all like this chapter :D

Peach and Kacey looked around as Justin and Jade climbed out of another Warp Pipe. They were now near a large forest. Up ahead they saw an abandoned fortress. The sight made Justin smile.

"It looks just as amazing as the day we discovered it!"

Jade giggled. "Yeah!"

As they made their way towards the building, two Koopa Troopas rushed over to the doors and opened them. The two Toads walked inside with the girls. They immediately walked up the stairs and headed to a room on the second floor. Inside the room was a cell. Jade and Justin walked over to the cell and Justin unlocked it. They then threw the girls inside, making them fall to the floor and feel dizzy.

Jade swiftly locked the cell door before either girl could try escaping. The two Toads then laughed together as they left the room and locked the door. Peach did her best to comfort Kacey as she sighed.

Peach gave her a smile and said, "Don't worry. Mario and the others will come to save us."

Kacey stared at the floor. "I hope so."

Bowser turned to face his family. "Alright. Ludwig, Iggy, and Roy are coming along. The rest of you stay behind."

Bowser Jr. pouted. "But Dad, I wanna go too!" He whined.

Bowser patted Junior's head. "Next time, buddy. I need you here to protect the kingdom while I'm gone."

Ludwig rolled his eyes, but chuckled after hearing that. Thankfully, hearing that made Bowser Jr. grin.

"Ok! We'll do our best!"

Bowser also chuckled. He then turned to face the others.

"Ok. Let's go."

The rest of Bowser's family wished them good luck before walking away.

"Don't worry, Kacey! I'm on my way!" Roy thought.

One by one, the others jumped down the Warp Pipe. When they climbed out on the other side, they were now in a rocky region. Kayden looked around at the rocks and mountains around them.

"Where could they have gone?" He wondered.

Jasmine replied, "Well, they couldn't have gotten far. Let's look around."

Everyone walked through the rocky world until, two Boomerang Bros. jumped out from behind a massive bolder. This made Bowser gasp.

"My minions!" He exclaimed.

One Boomerang Bro. threw a boomerang at Bowser's chest. As he staggered back a little, the Koopa King scowled at the Koopa. Before he could question the Boomerang Bro., Iggy spoke up.

"Justin and Jade hypnotized some of the Koopa Troop, remember?"

Bowser rubbed his chest. "Ok. Then I guess… we gotta fight 'em."

After pulling out his wand, Ludwig shot energy blasts at them. Both Boomerang Bros. were hit and collapsed to the ground. Bowser approached them and glanced down at the enemies. He scoffed and muttered, "Let's get moving."

The others followed Bowser through the area. They ran into Goombas and Koopa Troopas along the way. Mario and Luigi stomped on the Goombas. Kayden and Jasmine stomped on the Koopa Troopas and kicked their shells away. A Koopa Paratroopa flew towards the group. Bowser shot a stream of fire at it, making the Paratroopa lose its wings.

Luigi stomped on the Koopa and picked up the shell. When they spotted another Goomba, Luigi hurled the shell at it. The Goomba then fell to the ground. Mario then looked around.

"Well, I don't see any more of the Koopa Troop." He said. Mario faced forward. "Let's keep going."

The others followed him.

I'll do my best to work on the next chapter tomorrow. I'm so tired, I started falling asleep while writing this chapter lol

I'm back with a new chapter!

The two girls sat in the cell in silence. They tried finding a way to unlock the cell door, but couldn't. After one final attempt, Kacey gave up. This was so frustrating!

Kacey sighed. "I hope they find us soon."

After a few more minutes of silence, Peach looked over at the teen girl. "Kacey?"

"Yes, Peach?" Kacey replied.

"Can I ask you something?" After Kacey nodded, Peach asked her, "What is it about Roy that you like?"

Kacey looked away as her cheeks burned. "Well, Roy's really nice to me and he's cool. He's also really strong."

"He's nice?" replied Peach. "But, he's a bully."

Kacey reassured her by saying, "I know he can be mean and he bullies people, especially his own siblings. But, I have a feeling that deep down, Roy can be a really sweet guy."

Peach smiled at how hopeful and sincere Kacey looked and sounded. She really had so much faith in Roy Koopa.

"Well, alright then." Peach said.

Kacey let out a sigh and stared at the top of the cell. "I'm sure Roy's helping the others too. Maybe they're almost here."

The group made it to the end of the rocky area and encountered two Sledge Bros. They avoided getting stunned after the enemies created small earthquakes. Roy and Daisy ran over to them. Roy knocked out one while Daisy jumped on the other's head. Daisy then spotted a Warp Pipe up ahead.

"Hey! Maybe that pipe will lead us to them!" Daisy remarked.

Daisy hurried over to the green pipe.

"Daisy, wait up!" yelled Luigi.

Luigi ran after her, with the others running close behind.

Thirty minutes went by and Peach and Kacey were still in the cell. Kacey adjusted her hat as she stared at the wall.

"Are they getting closer?" She wondered.

Peach sighed and Kacey closed her eyes. How long would they be trapped in here? When would Roy and the others get here and save them?

A minute later, Kacey gasped. "Wait! I can just call them and let them know where we are!"

They then heard footsteps walking past the room.

"Good idea." Peach whispered. "But wait a second."

Kacey nodded and they listened to the footsteps. It sounded like five or six people walking by. As the minions' footsteps got farther away, Kacey reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She went to her contacts and frowned, remembering her brother removing and blocking the Koopas. She found Kayden's number and decided to video call him.

The others left the rocky area and now found themselves in a beach world. They ran into Koopa Paratroopas, but Mario and Luigi quickly defeated them. They jumped across one platform to the next. Then, Kayden stopped when he heard his phone ringing. When he took it out of his pocket, Kayden gasped when he saw who was calling.

"Who's calling you, Kayden?" Luigi asked.

"It's Kacey!" Kayden replied.

Roy quickly walked over. "Well, answer it!"

"Alright, alright!" Kayden responded.

Kayden answered the call. He smiled when he saw Kacey and Peach. "Kacey! Peach! Are you two alright?" He asked.

Kacey replied, "We're fine, Kayden."

"Where are you guys?" Peach asked.

"Well, we're currently on a beach." said Kayden. He then asked, "Do you know where those guys took you, exactly?"

Kacey nodded. "We're in an abandoned fortress near a forest."

Iggy then gasped. "Wait. I think I know what she's talking about!"

Ludwig looked at his brother. "You do?"

Iggy nodded. He then explained, "I remember going exploring a couple years ago, and I came across this old fortress while walking by a huge forest." He smiled. "I think it's not too far from here!"

Daisy grinned. "That's great!"

Roy put his face next to Kayden's and looked at his phone screen. "Don't worry, Kacey! We're on the way!"

Kacey blushed. "Ok! Good luck!"

After that, Kacey and Kayden then hung up.

Mario adjusted his hat. "Well, at least we now know where the girls are being held."

Luigi nodded. "We gotta hurry."

The group then proceeded through the beach world. Kayden stared at Roy as he walked behind the Koopaling. A tiny crease formed between his eyebrows as he thought about everything that happened involving Roy and Kacey. Kacey sneaking out to see Roy and his siblings, Roy supposedly having feelings for her, Kacey attacking him with Roy's wand. Kayden still couldn't believe it!

Taking a deep breath, Kayden walked next to Roy. He turned to him and asked, "Hey, can I ask you something?"

Roy looked back at him. "Sure."

Kayden hesitated for a second. Then, he finally asked, "Do you really… love my sister?"

Roy's cheeks turned red. "W-What? Why are you thinking about that?"

"Well, she has been disobeying Mario and Luigi to see you and your siblings, and she said that you both love each other." Kayden responded. "Do you?"

Roy grumbled as he blushed more. He then said, "Yeah, I do." He smiled softly, not caring if anyone noticed at the moment. "She's sweet, gorgeous, cool, a great singer, and an amazing cook! And she's a really great friend. She's just… amazing."

Kayden's jaw dropped by what he heard and the smile on the Koopaling's face. Roy Koopa, Bowser's toughest kid, truly felt that way about Kacey? Seriously? This was…

"Wow. You really DO love her."

Roy snorted. "Duh! Like I said, Kacey's amazing!"

"This is insane!" Kayden thought. "He actually…"

Before he could finish that thought, two more Sledge Bros. landed in front of them. Everyone was stunned by them, so the Sledge Bros. threw hammers at them. Once they were able to move, Mario and Luigi took out Fire Flowers. The brothers threw fireballs at the two enemies. Eventually, the Sledge Bros. collapsed to the ground.

After walking past the fallen enemies, everyone continued making their way through the beach. A few Huckit Crabs hurled sand balls and rocks at everyone. Luigi lost his power-up after getting hit by a sand ball. He then ran over to the Huckit Crabs and jumped on them. They went through a Warp Pipe and arrived in another area on the beach. The sight made Daisy pout.

"Aw man! I was hoping we'd get to another world!" She muttered.

Luigi patted her on the back. "Don't worry. I'm sure we'll get to them soon."

Daisy smiled at Luigi. "Yeah. You're right." She replied.

They continued walking through the sand and stomping on Koopas. Eventually, the group found another Warp Pipe and jumped through it. When they climbed out on the other side, they were now on an island. It looked pretty similar to the beach. Daisy pouted once again. Before she could whine though, Iggy spoke up.

"Guys! We're getting close!"

Daisy looked back at him. "Are you sure?"

Iggy adjusted his glasses and replied, "I'm positive! The forest is up ahead."

Daisy sighed in relief and they continued on their way. They noticed a few Question Blocks, so Mario and his friends punched them. Some had coins while others had power-ups. A group of Koopa Troopas noticed them and bolted in their direction. Daisy and Jasmine shot fireballs and ice balls at them. Jasmine then picked up a frozen Koopa Troopa and threw it against a palm tree.

Ludwig smiled at his girlfriend. "Good job, Jazzy!"

Jasmine giggled softly and replied, "Thanks, Luddy!" She kissed his cheek, making making him blush.

Kayden couldn't help but smile and found the scene cute.

After fighting more Goombas, the group finally entered the forest. Iggy looked at everyone and said, "See? I told ya we were close!"

Mario looked ahead and saw the fortress. He then exclaimed, "Alright! The girls have been waiting long enough!"

The others nodded and they rushed to the fortress.

There's two more chapters left! Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on the next one tomorrow or Saturday. Tomorrow I'm helping my aunt chop vegetables for a few sides and Saturday, I'm helping her sell dinners. So, unless I'm not extremely tired both days, the last two chapters will have to wait until next week

Once again, Kacey and Peach sat in silence. A moment later, Kacey's phone dinged. She took it out of her pocket and saw a text from Kayden. When she opened the message, Kacey gasped.

"What's wrong?" asked Peach.

Grinning, Kacey responded, "The others are here! They're in the forest and they're heading to the fortress!"

Peach also gasped. "Oh my goodness! That's great!"

Kacey placed her phone back into her pocket after sending her brother a reply. She then replied to Peach, "Yeah! We can go home soon!"

Luigi walked in between Mario and Daisy as everyone made their way through the forest. He looked around at the many towering trees with twisted branches. He barely heard any animals or other creatures inside. This made Luigi shudder.

"It's kinda creepy here…" He thought to himself.

Noticing the nervous expression on her boyfriend's face, Daisy gently squeezed his hand. Luigi smiled at her, slowly relaxing. He smiled a little. Everything was going to be fine. They were going to stop the clones, rescue the girls, and go back home. He didn't have anything to worry about, especially with his brother and friends with him.

As they continued walking though, Luigi heard something rustling in the bushes near them.

"D-Did you hear that, Mario?" He asked.

"Hear what?" Mario replied.

Luigi glanced over at the bushes when they moved again. "That!" He exclaimed, pointing toward them.

Everyone stared at the bushes. Then, moments later, a group of Fire Bros., Hammer Bros., and Koopa Troopas jumped from behind the bushes. One of the Hammer Bros. threw his hammer at Daisy, but Luigi moved her out of the way before it could hit her.

Daisy looked at him and said, "Whoa! Thanks, Luigi. That was close."

"I guess we have to deal with them first." Kayden stated after sighing.

"Yeah." replied Daisy.

Mario handed Kayden a Fire Flower. Then, everyone prepared to fight the hypnotized minions.

In the fortress, Peach and Kacey sat in their cell, still wishing they could escape. Was there something that they were missing? They tried their hardest to find a way out already. Oh, if only they had a hairpin or something to unlock the door! All they could do now was wait.

Just then, both girls froze when they heard Justin yelling.

"What?! Whaddaya mean they're almost here!?"

They then heard a Koopa Troopa reply, "Th-The others are currently fighting them!"

Groaning, Jade remarked, "Well, hopefully those guys will slow them down."

Kacey and Peach giggled to themselves. "Oh, they really think Mario and the others will lose!" Kacey whispered.

Back in the forest, Mario began to stomp on the Koopa Troopas' heads. Luigi and Daisy went after the Hammer Bro. who attempted to hit her. The Hammer Bro. threw another hammer at Daisy, but the princess caught it and threw the hammer back at him. Bowser, along with his sons, went after the four Fire Bros. who were approaching them. Jasmine and Kayden threw fireballs and ice balls at the other Fire Bros. that were near them.

Kayden picked up one of the frozen enemies and hurled the ice block at the Koopas, knocking them down. Soon, the minions were defeated. After running out of the forest, the group finally arrived at the old, abandoned fortress. Two Hammer Bros. were guarding the entrance. Bowser moved to the front of the group, glaring at his hypnotized minions. Both Hammer Bros. returned the glare and formed fireballs in their hands.

Bowser shot a stream of fire at them, making the Hammer Bros. pass out. He then pushed open the front doors and everyone walked inside. Justin and Jade, who were standing nearby, gasped when they saw the group.

"Th-They're here already!?" Justin exclaimed.

Roy walked closer to the two Toads. "Where are they?"

The Toads didn't answer. Instead, they sprinted up the stairs.

"Hey!" Roy called out. "Get back here!"

Before he and the others could move, more Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas arrived.

"Man. How many of Bowser's minions did they hypnotize?" Daisy muttered, making Luigi chuckle.

Mario replied, "Well, whatever the amount is, we'll stop them."

While everyone fought, Justin and Jade kept running. They soon reached the second floor after making it to the last step. The two burst inside of the room where Peach and Kacey are being held, making the girls flinch.

"W-What are you two doing here?" Peach asked.

Ignoring the princess, the Toads took out their wands.

Roy punched the final Koopa Troopa, knocking him out. Once the Koopa fell to the floor, everyone made their way upstairs. When they get to the second floor, they spotted a medium-sized door to their right.

"Are they in there?" Daisy wondered.

Mario shrugged. "Only one way to find out…"

He walked over to the door and pushed it open. They found the girls, along with the Toads, inside the room. Justin immediately shot a purple energy blast at the group. Roy and Ludwig were hit. Kayden threw fireballs in their direction. Jade shot energy blasts at him and Jasmine, making them both lose their power-ups.

Jade laughed at them. Growling, Jasmine ran up to the female Toad. She jumped on Jade's head, making her shriek. Jasmine then ran over to the cell.

"Are you two alright?" She asked them.

Peach smiled at her. "We're fine."

Then, they heard Justin shout, "Hey! Get away from them!"

Jasmine turned around and gasped. She was hit by another energy blast.

"Are you ok?" Kacey asked.

"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." replied Jasmine. She reached into her pocket and took out a Super Leaf. After activating the power-up, she now had a raccoon tail and ears.

Jasmine ran and flew into the air. She landed on Justin's head, making him groan. She hit him with her tail, making Justin cover his face in agony.

Ludwig laughed and said, "Good job, Jasmine!"

Iggy shot green energy blasts at the Toads. "I can't believe you two turned on us!"

Roy snorted. "I can. I noticed before any of ya!"

"We get it!" Ludwig said, rolling his eyes.

The three of them attacked the two clones. After a few more hits from the three Koopalings, Justin and Jade fell and hit the floor.

"Good." Roy sighed.

He then began to walk over to the cell. Justin and Jade quickly sat up and grabbed their wands. Justin cast a spell, making the two girls levitate in the cell.

Kacey gasped. "H-Hey!"

After that, the Toads and the girls teleported out of the room.

Roy growled and screamed, "What?! Where'd they go?!"

They then heard Peach and Kacey screaming. Everyone hurried out of the room and looked up at the next floor.

"They're probably taking them to the top." Daisy remarked.

Just then, they heard footsteps running up to them. They turned around to see the minions back, ready to fight again. Roy grumbled, preparing to fight with the others.

There's one more chapter after this! If I got time tomorrow, I'll write and post it :D

"You two won't get away with this!" Kacey shouted at the two Toads.

Justin and Jade ignored her. They opened a door at the top of the fortress and went inside. There was another cell inside of this room. Jade opened the door and Justin tossed the girls inside. Jade swiftly shut and locked the door before they had a chance to run out. The two then sit down, waiting for the others to arrive once again.

Two Koopa Troopas rushed over to Mario and Luigi. The brothers jumped and landed on their heads, stopping them. Luigi then took out a Fire Flower while Mario pulled out a Propeller Mushroom. Luigi threw fireballs at more Koopa Troopas. Mario flew into the air and landed on a Koopa Troopa.

Roy punched another Koopa that tried to hit him. "C'mon! We gotta save Kacey!"

"Peach too!" Bowser remarked.

Daisy scoffed and muttered, "Just so you can kidnap her yourself again?" She kicked a Koopa shell and knocked down a few Goombas that ran down the hall.

Justin and Jade sat next to each other on the floor, listening to the others fighting below them.

"We're gonna win this time!" exclaimed Jade.

Justin nodded. "Yeah! We weren't prepared the first time!"

Kacey snorted, making the two turn around and glare at her. "Shut up!" Jade shouted. "We're going to control the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms and no one, not even those idiots down there, will stop us!"

Justin added, "Exactly! So just sit in your cell and be quiet, kid!"

Kacey crossed her arms and pouted. "Kid?! I'm a teen!"

Justin rolled his eyes. "Whatever!"

Roy fired energy blasts at three Koopa Paratroopas. They lost their wings and fell to the floor. Roy, Iggy, and Ludwig shot more energy blasts at them, defeating the Koopas. Daisy and Jasmine stomped on a few Koopa Troopas and kicked their shells away. Daisy looked around, seeing that a lot of the minions were passed out on the ground again.

"Finally!" She thought to herself. "Soon we'll just have to deal with those Toads."

A Koopa Troopa ran over to Luigi. Before Luigi could react, Roy rushed over and punched the Koopa Troopa, knocking him out. Luigi blinked and looked at the burly Koopaling.

"Whoa. Uh, thanks, Roy."

Smirking, Roy replied, "Yeah, yeah. Kacey wouldn't be too happy if you guys got hurt."

As he walked away, Mario and Luigi glanced at each other.

Roy and Bowser spat fireballs at more Koopas. After ten more minutes, all of the enemies were stopped. The group then ran up the stairs, making their way to the top of the fortress. Unfortunately, when they made it to the top, they found two Sledge Bros. guarding a large door. Rolling her eyes, Daisy took a Fire Flower out of her pocket.

The Sledge Bros. created earthquakes, but everyone jumped to avoid getting stunned. Daisy hurled fireballs at the second Sledge Bro., knocking him down. Luigi ran towards the first Sledge Bro., jumped into the air, and landed on his head. Mario grinned as he gave Luigi a thumbs up. The brothers pushed the door open.

Everyone then bolted inside the room. Justin and Jade stand up and prepare to fight. Kacey and Peach watched as the fight began.

"You can do it, guys!" Peach yelled.

"Roy! You got this!" Kacey shouted.

Roy smirked at what she said. The fight went on for several minutes, with the Toads and Koopas shooting fireballs and energy blasts and the humans using their power-ups. Eventually, Justin and Jade began to grow tired. But, the two continued to fight. They noticed Roy charging at them.

Justin held out his hands and yelled, "Wait!"

Roy stopped in his tracks.

Justin looked at him and asked, "Roy, why don't you join us?"

Roy blinked. "Wha…?"

Jade gave Justin a perplexed look after hearing that. What was he doing? When he leaned over and whispered to her, she gasped.

Jade smiled and said, "Right! Forget those Koopas! You should work for us."

Roy snorted. "And why would I ever do that?"

Justin pointed at Kacey and replied, "If you do, we'll let the girl go."

Roy's eyes grew wide. What? Were they serious right now? They'd let Kacey go? Everyone stared at him, mainly Kayden and the Bros.

"Don't do it, Roy!" thought Kacey.

Snarling, Roy replied, "HA! Yeah right! Like I'd turn on my family like you guys!"

Kacey relaxed and smiled. Roy then shot larger energy blasts at the Toads. Justin and Jade dodged all of them, except for the last one. They both fell to the ground. Jade groaned as she and Justin slowly stood up. They shot energy blasts at Roy, but he dodged them all.

"Alright, Roy! You got this!" Kacey cheered him on, filling him with more confidence.

The others let Roy fight them. Kayden watched in amazement.

"Wow! Roy's pretty strong." He thought. Kayden chuckled softly. "Eh, I still think I could beat him."

Roy shot a large energy blast at Jade, knocking her down. He then punched Justin in the face, also knocking him down. Roy panted heavily. He then walked over to the cell. Roy waved his wand, making the cell disappear. Peach and Kacey were finally free!

Peach smiled at Roy. "Thank you, Roy."

"Eh, it's no problem." Roy replied.

Justin groaned as he sat his head up. "Th… This isn't over!"

"W-We'll stop ya!" Jade added. "After we heal!"

Roy rolled his eyes. Peach ran over to Mario and gave him a kiss on the cheek, making the plumber blush. Kacey hugged Roy tightly.

"Thank you so much, honey! I knew you'd save us!"

Roy smiled and hugged her back. He whispered to her, "I'm just glad you're alright."

Roy and Kacey pulled away from each other. Kacey gave him a kiss on the cheek, making Roy blush a little. She then walked over to Mario, Luigi, and Kayden.

"Guys, I… I'm sorry for sneaking out of the kingdom all this time and keeping secrets. I mean," Kacey turned to Luigi. "Luigi, you guys took Kayden and I in when no one else would." Kacey let out a sigh and continued. "I know you wanted to protect us. But… like I said before, Roy and the others have always been nice to me and they've never done anything to hurt me." Kacey chuckled. "Well, besides Bowser kidnapping me once.

Luigi laughed. Once he calmed down, he said, "Yeah. I'm still surprised none of the Toads ever told us."

Jasmine scratched the back of her head and chuckled. "Yeah. I kinda asked, er, begged them to not say anything to you guys."

"Of course." Mario said as he laughed.

Kacey then said, "Well, I promise I won't do anything like that ever again. I felt bad lying to you guys."

Luigi gave Kacey a smile. "It's alright, Kacey. We forgive you." He turned to his brother. "Right, Mario?"

"Right." Mario answered.

After climbing through Warp Pipes, everyone made it back to the Koopa Kingdom. Iggy sighed and said, "Well, we made clones, and they betrayed us."

Ludwig patted him on the shell. "Hey. We made a working cloning machine! If we ever make another clone, I'm sure that one won't be like Jade or Justin."

Iggy smiled a little. "Hopefully."

The Koopas began entering their castle. Roy and Kacey gazed at one another. Kacey gave him a smile and waved goodbye. Roy smirked and waved back. He then followed his family inside.

Mario looked at everyone. "Alright, guys. Let's head back home."

The others nodded and followed him. Kayden walked next to his sister.

"Hey, sis. I, uh… I'm sorry for deleting your text messages and blocking those guys' numbers." Kayden sighed and continued. "I just… I just wanted you to be safe and not get influenced by them. I mean, you know what Mario and Luigi said about them."

Kacey smiled at him. "It's fine. And like I said before, I'm sorry for attacking you back then. I just didn't want Roy to get hurt."

As he walked with everyone, Luigi thought about everything that happened. Roy DID seem concerned about Kacey when she got kidnapped. And Roy and his family did help rescue her and Peach. It was a little strange. Roy Koopa was a tough bully. And yet, he showed concern for Kacey.

"It's kinda interesting." Luigi thought.

Soon, Daisy returned to Sarasaland and the others made it back to the Mushroom Kingdom. When they got there, Peach returned to her castle and Jasmine headed home. The others arrived at their front door and Mario unlocked it. When they walked inside, Luigi looked over at Kacey.

"Kacey, I still don't think you should see the Koopas."

Kacey's jaw dropped. "Really? Even after they helped rescue me and Peach?"

Luigi responded, "Well… for the moment."

Mario and the siblings looked at him. They all took a seat in the living room. Luigi took off his hat and looked at Kacey again.

"I think… Why don't we wait a bit?"

"Wait?" Kacey repeated.

Mario nodded. "I think I get what you mean, Weege."

Kayden raised an eyebrow and asked, "What DO you mean?"

Luigi responded, "Well, I think that Mario and I should think about it some more. It may take some time before we're sure that you can see the Koopas. And date Roy."

Kacey frowned, but replied, "Yeah. I get it."

Two months went by since then and everything went back to normal, for the most part. Bowser hasn't invaded, which Peach and the Bros., along with Peach's citizens, were very happy about. Kacey has also regained everyone's trust and doesn't keep secrets from them. Roy and Kacey got updates on each other through Jasmine whenever she visited the Koopa Kingdom. They still would've preferred to see each other in person, but this was better than nothing.

Today, the Bros., Kacey, and Kayden were relaxing in their house. Luigi and Mario smiled as they watched Kayden and Kacey playing video games together. Over the last few weeks, they've noticed that Kacey has looked a little sad, but patient.

Mario leaned over and whispered to Luigi, "You know, Kacey has shown that she's sorry."

Luigi nodded and replied, "Yep. And you know what's still shocking to me? Roy didn't join Justin and Jade. And he seemed to genuinely care about Kacey."

"Yeah." said Mario.

The brothers continued to watch the siblings and laughed when Kacey cheered that she won.

A week later, Kacey was sitting in her room, reading a book. She smiled as she began to think about Roy.

"I wonder what Roy's up to right now."

She then heard a knock on the door and Luigi's voice. "Hey, Kacey? Can we come in?"

"Sure!" She answered.

Luigi opened the door and he and Mario walked inside. Kacey closed her book and looked at the brothers. She smiled at them.

"What is it?" She wondered.

"Mario and I wanted to talk to you." said Luigi.

Kacey tilted her head. "Really?"

The brothers sat with her. As they began to explain everything, Kacey's eyes slowly widened.

In the Koopa Kingdom, Roy walked out of the castle, preparing to go to Neo Bowser City. He started walking toward his Clown Car, but stopped when he heard someone running in his direction. Roy turned to his left and gasped.

"Kacey?"

The human girl ran up to him. Roy let out another gasp as she hugged and kissed him. Roy eased up and returned the hug and kiss. Once they pulled away, Roy looked at Kacey.

"What's going on?" He asked.

Kacey beamed. "Luigi and Mario! They're finally alright with me visiting the Koopa Kingdom! And us being together."

Roy looked at her in shock. "Are ya serious?"

Kacey nodded and hugged him again. "Yes! I can't believe they're alright with this!"

Roy chuckled softly. "Heh. Me neither."

"Well, Kayden still isn't that sure about you." Kacey replied. She chuckled and added, "Kayden's still a little concerned about it. He said if you hurt me, he'll have to fight you or throw you in the lava pits."

Roy smirked. "I'd like to see him try!" Kacey giggled and let him go. He then asked, "I was on my way to Neo Bowser City. Ya wanna come? Maybe we can get some Koopasta."

Kacey smiled. "Sure! And maybe you can help me get your numbers back in my phone!"

Roy took Kacey's hand and he led her over to his Clown Car. Roy helped Kacey get in and hopped inside. He started the Clown Car and the two flew into the air, heading to Neo Bowser City.

And now, this story is finally over! I can't believe I actually wrote a story with 40 chapters :D There are some things that I wish were better, but I hope this version is better than the last! Now, if you remember the last version of this story, I wrote a sequel that was set in the future. I do plan on rewriting it, but not at the moment. The next story I'm gonna work on will be about Prince Haru (the prince from the old OVA). I'm not finished outlining it, but I might post the first chapter tomorrow.
